We're Alive & The Vessel + 1 season finale, and 2 series completions! 🎧☺️

Greetings, and welcome to The End Last Week, This Week, and Next Week, the podcast companion to The End, the weekly newsletter that shines a light back on audio fiction shows when they've reached the finale of a season or the conclusion of the series. Last Week

The most recent issue of The End - the 30th - highlighted 5 shows in the Season Finales & Finished Series section, and 3 of them wrapped in the last week:

• Lucidus Somnia (looKIDus SOMnia) a dramatized scifi thriller from Bargo Productions, posted their season 1 finale yesterday, March 29th. There are 6 total episodes and can be enjoyed in just under three hours. Season 2 is slated to start in November
• InCo, a dramatized scifi tale from ItMe Podcast Productions LLC, posted the conclusion to their entire series… also yesterday, March 29th. There are 152 episodes spread across three seasons, giving you nearly 18 hours of enjoyment.
• Motive Unknown, a narrated mystery from Alex Rinaldi, wrapped the series on March 27th, so you can get all 8 episodes in about 2 hours.

This Week

With every issue, I made two personal recommendations for great audio fiction I personally love. 

• My first recommendation is for a show that’s become a staple and classic in fiction podcasting circles. If you’ve been avoiding We’re Alive, the dramatized horror thriller epic from Wayland Productions, you need to change that. The sound quality and acting are simply superb, which is kinda mind blowing when you realize the first episode of the epic dropped back in 2009. Here’s the trailer for their most recent season, Decendents: We’re Alive: Decendents is just wrapped the first part. And yes, the 2nd part is in development. I strongly suggest starting from episode 1 of the first season. Yes, that means you have nearly 80 hours of content to listen to. But it’s broken up nicely, so you’ll have plenty of resting points. 
• My second recommendation is for a space horror show. Frankly, it’s not my preferred genre of content. But the way Brian Martinez layered music and sound effects to make a truly immersive experience, you’ll confuse this narrated show for a fully dramatized audio experience. Here’s the trailer for The Vessel, a narrated scifi horror from Brian Martine: the first two seasons of The Vessel are out with the 3rd coming at the end of the year. It’ll take you about 17 hours to listen

Next Week
