Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hello everyone and
welcome to Aligned and Soulful
Success.
My name is Kavita Malani and Iam a spiritual success and
business coach.
And each week I come to you withwisdom to help you have a
purposeful and profitablebusiness.
So this week I wanna talk to youabout intuition versus fear as
(00:26):
an entrepreneur.
So I have seen that people, whenwe're making changes, especially
as entrepreneurs, we can stopourselves sometimes feeling like
it's our intuition that'stelling us not to go in a
certain direction.
So I'm not telling you, uh, intoday not to follow that.
What I wanna help you do is tellthe difference between what is
(00:51):
actually your intuitive guidanceguiding you, and then what is
your fear, your ego mind keepingyou safe, okay?
So the the thing that thathappens, anytime we wanna make a
change, we step out of ourcomfort zone.
(01:12):
Our brain is going to resistthat change to some degree.
And so when you think that thatresistance is intuition and
telling you not to take a step, then that is stopping you from
reaching your level of growthand to your next level of growth
and creating more of what youwant in your life, especially if
(01:33):
you wanna make some changes,right?
Because if we decide thatsomething is not for us, then we
have a something calledcognitive bias.
And so that is going, our brainis going to find things to
confirm our choice, okay?
So after you make a decision, you're going to, now your brain
(01:54):
is gonna find the ways that yourdecision was correct.
Okay?
So, so even if you think that,oh, that was the right step, I
sh I'm glad I avoided that, itmay or may not be true.
Okay?
So your intuition speaks to youthrough your higher self,
(02:14):
through that higher self that isyour true essence and also can
speak to you through your bodyif you're paying attention to
your body.
Okay?
And so the way that you canaccess your intuitive guidance
is through practice, right?
Of paying attention, beingmindful, being present, being
(02:38):
clear about what you wannacreate, what is that vision?
What is your purpose, right?
And taking steps towards thatbecause your intuition is going
to guide you to take steps in away that's going to expand and
grow you.
Right?
And so, and the fear, the egomind
Speaker 2 (02:59):
Is going to hold you
back because it wants to keep
you safe, right?
And it doesn't know if you makethose changes, if you take those
steps, if they will, if it'sgoing to be safe.
So, so keeping you safe and onthe same path is, is a way that
it knows that you're gonna beokay.
Okay?
So that fear, when you wannatake a step, and you sometimes
(03:23):
people will say, it just didn'tfeel right.
Okay?
So when you, that immediateresponse is it didn't feel
right, I'm gonna ask you to takeone more step, okay?
To really examine why it didn'tfeel like, why didn't it feel
right?
How did it feel in your body?
Is that feeling in your bodytrying to stop you from growth?
(03:46):
Was that step going to help yougrow?
Or was that step going to con bea contraction?
Was that step going to keep youthe same, right?
So, um, sometimes a lot of thetimes we're not able to see
those things on our own.
And that's why it's beneficialto speak to someone that has
your best interest at heart, like a coach, if you have a
(04:09):
coach, um, because they can seethings and patterns that you may
not be able to see.
I know as I've over the years, had different mentors and
coaches, most of the time I'vebeen supported in a way for
growth, right?
Once in a while I had beenguided in a direction that I
(04:31):
felt was not right, but therewas this other part of me that
really wanted to, to please the, the, the mentor and follow what
they said.
And so I took steps that theyrecommended, even though if I
really looked inward, it was, itwas not that it didn't feel
right cuz that was afraid,right?
(04:53):
It didn't feel right becausethat really wasn't where I
wanted to go, right?
And so I took those stepsdespite the fact that if I
really fell into my body, if Iwas really mindful, they were
not expansive steps, right?
They were limiting me.
And so that ex, if I paidattention, then, then I would
(05:15):
say, Ooh, that that's actuallylimiting me.
That's expand, that's notexpanding, right?
Um, and so, you know, I'm, I'msimplifying it a little bit
today and, and it can be reallycomplicated as we're making
decisions, but one of the thingsis it's really important to have
the ability to make decisionsquickly in a business as an
(05:39):
entrepreneur, okay?
As an entrepreneur, things arechanging and, you know, having a
decision making process that youfollow is really important.
And whatever that process is,maybe you write a list of pros
and cons, right?
Maybe you write the, the, the
Speaker 3 (05:56):
Benefits and the
drawbacks of this decision.
Um, whatever you say yes to,that means you're saying no to
other things.
Maybe you, you make, write downwhat you're saying yes to and
what you're saying no to.
If you make this decision, allthose things are really valuable
and I'm gonna encourage you todo that.
And then there's the feelingpart, right?
So you can look at this list andstill not be sure.
(06:20):
And so at this point is when youstart to go inward and check in
with yourself, being completelyhonest, if I take this step, how
does it feel in my body?
And you can even imagineyourself moving in that
direction and taking that stepand see how that feels, right?
(06:42):
If it feels a littleuncomfortable, that's okay, but
does it feel uncomfortable?
Because it's scary?
You don't know what's gonnahappen because you're taking a
risk, okay?
Or if I, if I don't, or I takethis step, does it feel like I
am contraction?
Does it feel like, you know, kind of like the sense of like,
(07:03):
um, I'm putting a weight on meand it, it's like not where I
wanna go.
And it's like the sense ofexcitement is less and that it's
not the kind of fear that's thebutterflies in your stomach
fear, but it's the fear of like,oh, I could be in danger right?
Now, the danger part, you haveto discern with your brain cuz
your brain might read somethingas dangerous.
(07:24):
That's not right.
Um, and so the introspection isthe next step, right?
So the first step is you dowhatever process, pros and cons
list, you know, whatever thetangible process, sit with the
feeling and discern whether thatfeeling is your intuition
telling you that this is not foryou, this step is not for you.
(07:45):
Or is it telling you that thisis scary, so I'm just a little
afraid to do this.
I'm afraid what's gonna happen,right?
And if you do that, if that'sthe, that's the feeling that
you're getting, then you takethe step, okay?
Despite the fear.
Um, and if you're still not sureabout that, then you could, um,
(08:07):
talk, speak to someone.
Now, keep in mind that if youspeak to someone that's a friend
or family member, everybody hastheir own kind of view of you.
And you know, they, they want to, as much as they love you,
they, they most likely want youto stay the same, right?
And so you changing kind ofthreatens part of them.
(08:27):
And there's, that's a verycomplicated process.
So be careful of who you ask fortheir feedback and how you take
that feedback in.
Um, and so then the other thingthat you can do is pay attention
to your subconscious mind.
And you can pay attention tothat through paying list,
writing down your dreams.
(08:48):
You can, um, do somevisualization and active
imagination.
Um, and so that, that can helpyou uncover more of what's
underneath there before you makethe decision.
And the last thing I wanna sayis I don't want you to stay in
indecision because when you stayin indecision, that's actually
(09:09):
making a decision, right?
You're deciding to be kind ofstuck and, and be not sure.
And most likely it's becauseyou're either afraid of the
step, you are afraid of making amistake, right?
You don't wanna make a mistake.
And so that holds you back fromtaking steps.
And again, as an entrepreneur, you have to make decisions all
the time.
(09:30):
And you have to be willing tomake mistakes.
You have to be willing to takethe risk.
And knowing that it may notalways turn out exactly the way
you want, but it's a challengeand it's an opportunity to grow.
And the only way that you canknow sometimes is by taking a
step in a certain direction ifyou are in this kind of analysis
(09:51):
paralysis thing and you can'tmake a decision that's gonna
keep you stuck in your business, right?
And so I know one of the thingsthat, um, a lot of empaths can
do is be stuck in kind of likelearning and research part and
then not taking the action step.
Um, and sometimes they can say, well, intuitively I still don't
know what feels right.
(10:11):
Okay?
That's something to payattention to.
Giving yourself some time to dothe research and then taking the
steps, right?
Because sometimes you can't planfor every potential pitfall and
mistake, right?
There's, the only way thatyou're gonna know is if you move
forward.
So are you gonna stay inindecision?
Are you gonna hold yourself backor are you gonna stay in your
(10:32):
comfort zone in the kind of theresearch mode?
Or are you gonna take somesteps, check in with yourself
and move forward?
Okay?
So I'm hoping that as anentrepreneur, if you've chosen
that path, that you're going totake some steps and move
forward.
Okay?
So just to give you a quicksummary of what I talked about
today, it's the fact that we asindividuals, as entrepreneurs,
(10:57):
as empaths need to figure outwhen our intuition is guiding us
not to take a step, is guidingus in a direction versus when
it's actually our ego mindkeeping us safe, okay?
And some of the way to do thatis through first getting the
(11:19):
data right?
I'm not saying not to do that.
Do whatever process that youuse, right?
The pros and cons, list thebenefits and drawbacks, all of
that, take that down, right?
And then start to feel into thechoices.
How does it feel if I take thisstep or if I don't take the
step, right?
And sometimes when you're in,when you do that, you can sense
(11:41):
that if I don't take that step,I might re might regret that
later on, right?
And, and you know that I neverknew what could happen.
And then if that's still not
Speaker 4 (11:52):
Enough to help you
with that decision, you don't
stay indecision.
You start to pay attention toyour dreams and, uh, speak to
someone that has your bestinterest at heart and start to
see things and that you may notsee, okay?
So that you can make a decision.
So practicing using yourintuitive guidance is going to
make you trust it more.
(12:13):
Okay?
And I wanna say one more thing.
Just because your intuition isguiding you in a direction does
not mean that you are not gonnamake any mistakes, okay?
In fact, that may be exactlywhat you need to experience so
that you can move forwardbecause each step that you take
(12:35):
is another step in the directionto your dreams tag.
So I'm gonna encourage you totake those steps so this is
cavita with aligned and soulfulsuccess.
Until next week, take good care.
Bye.
