Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hello everyone, and
welcome to this week's episode
of Aligned and Soulful Success.
My name is Kavita Malwai, and Iam a spiritual success in
business coach specializing inhelping empaths have purposeful,
profitable business.
They're aligned with their soul.
(00:22):
So this week I wanna talk aboutbusiness frenzy, and maybe if
you're empathic, it could be,um, overwhelm as well.
What I hear from a lot ofbusiness owners when you ask how
are you doing, is usually, oh,I've been so busy.
I have all these things to do,there just doesn't seem to be
(00:43):
enough time to finisheverything, or even more, I
don't know where to focus.
I'm not sure where I should bespending my time and energy.
Or they're spending their timeand energy doing a lot of
things, and they continue to dothose things.
And when things are not workingwell, they will add more tasks.
(01:05):
And, and so it becomes thenafter some time, this situation
where there is always a longlist of things to do, there's
always so much that needs to becompleted or seemingly needs to
be completed.
And if the person took thebusiness owner, the, in this,
(01:27):
the entrepreneur, took some timeto actually examine and look at
their business, then they maymake some different decisions
and look at their business, honestly, and not just, when I
work with people to look attheir business, we don't just
look at numbers, we also look atthe emotional aspects of the
(01:49):
business, the blocks and thingsthat maybe you want to do but
are not doing, and things you'rehanging onto because you feel
that you need to hang onto thatthere's, you, sh you don't need
you, you can't let go of it forwhatever reason, right?
So all those aspects are soimportant as an entrepreneur,
and they are actually a bigfactor in someone's success
(02:13):
because if you're just doing thesame things or doing a lot of
things and just adding more whenthings are not working out, that
is a recipe for burnout.
Okay?
So how do you stop this?
How do you know if you're inthis place right now?
So first, if you are feelinglike, you know, whatever
organizational system you use,and I hope you're using
(02:35):
something, even if it's just apaper, okay?
But whatever system you'reusing, you just keep moving
tasks to the next day and thenext day and the next day and
things just don't seem to getdone right, or you're constantly
running out of time.
Um, maybe you worry about thingsthat need to be done and they're
(02:56):
not done.
Maybe you wake up at nightremembering something that you
had to finish and didn't.
Well, then it's time to reallytake a look at your business.
And that is the importance of ce o time, because there's one
role of actually being in yourbusiness and doing the work of
your business, right?
And that is like if you, if youwork with clients, for instance,
(03:18):
that's doing the client work andeven maybe some content creation
, uh, or other aspects oforganization, keeping track of
your finances.
For those of you that areentrepreneurs, you know that
there are so many things andaspects of running a business.
Now, I don't recommend you dothem all yourself all the time,
(03:39):
and that's a different, uh,topic, right?
But really taking the time nowout of those tasks to, to take a
kind of a bird's eye view ofyour business, examine what is
it that you've been working on,how are you spending your time?
And when you look at differentbuckets of time, right?
(04:01):
So you can look at, well, whatis my marketing time and how am
I spending my marketing time?
How am I spending my clienttime?
And how am I spending myorganizational time and the
financial time, right?
And so you could even, you know, when you look at how you're
spending your time, look atthose aspects and then look at
what are the results that I'mgetting right now?
(04:23):
What are the results that, uh,I'm receiving from each of those
areas, right?
So what are the financialresults?
What are the marketing results?
What are the client results,right?
And so looking at all thoseresults, and then once you've as
looked at all of those aspects, then you can check in to see,
(04:44):
well, what can I do?
What are the possibilities hereto make this better?
Right?
Looking at what you're actuallydoing and see how you can make
it better, and then see whatcomes up.
So when we wanna make changes, often we're gonna have
resistance come up, right?
I know I've had that so manytimes in my business, and there
(05:07):
are times where I've felt like Iam in that mode of doing, and I
just keep adding, I've done it,right?
Just keep adding, oh, it's notworking.
I'll do another thing.
I'll do another thing.
Oh, look at what this person'sdoing.
I'm gonna add that, that seemsto be working right?
And then pretty soon there'sthis long list of tasks all of
them don't get done.
Probably the ones that get donemay be rushed, and there's a
(05:29):
constant sense, sense of, um,stress, right?
And like urgency going on.
And so what I'm calling like thefrenzy, right?
So it's time to stop that andreally take some time out for
the c e o time as I described.
Now, you may say, I don't havetime to do that, right?
(05:50):
So that's usually a reactionthat I get from people.
It's like, when am I gonna dothat?
I already have all these thingson my list.
I'm gonna ask you.
If you are not getting theresults that you want in your
business, then you have to makethe time.
You have to make the time.
What is one activity or a coupleof activities that you can
(06:11):
postpone, delay, um, delegate ifyou, if you have people to
delegate in your, in maybe ahousehold task to give you some
time to look at your businessand be an entrepreneur, right?
And to be that kind of c e o Clevel role, right?
(06:32):
Of your business.
Because if you're not doingthat, you're just in this, this
kind of frenzy mode, most likelya lot of the time.
Okay?
And then another aspect to this,it's really helpful to have, um,
a fresh set of eyes to look atthat, and not only just to look
at the numbers like I wassaying, but to look at the other
(06:53):
aspects.
Like what are your, what are thethings that you're not seeing?
What are maybe some kind ofblind spots there that you're
not able to recognize on yourown, right?
And so if you have a partner inyour business, um, then maybe
you can look at that together.
I always believe in receivingcoaching.
Uh, if you, you know, having acoach basically is to help you
(07:16):
get somewhere faster than youcould on your own, right?
So, uh, having someone that isgood at that, you know, good
coach that can help you seewhere you are n what you're not
seeing, because sometimes wecan't see it.
Our brain, we have conditioning,right?
We're conditioned to see certainthings, to recognize certain
(07:36):
things.
And there may be things you'renot noticing, maybe areas that
you can improve, areas of thingsyou can let go of, but you are
not really sure what those are,and you feel kind of stuck in
those.
Okay?
So then once you kind of dothat, maybe work with someone to
help you, um, look at what areasyou can change, then it's time
(08:00):
to actually make the changes.
Okay?
And so when you're making thosechanges, that's where a lot of
resistance can often come up,because going out in and making
changes in the way that we'vealways done something is
uncomfortable, right?
That un it's going to beuncomfortable.
It's going to bring up, um, thissense of this doesn't feel that.
(08:24):
Great.
So last week I talked about, youknow, this idea of the
difference between intuition andwhether it's actually just fear
because, um, it's something newor is it actually not a good
path for you, right?
And so sometimes where we canget confused is when something's
(08:47):
uncomfortable, not because it'sthe wrong path, but it's
something we've never donebefore.
It's something new, right?
It's a new direction path,marketing activity.
Um, you know, or even we're soused to doing something and we
don't do that, and we let go ofit, that can also create some
stress and worry.
And then when we let go ofsomething that that
(09:10):
uncomfortable feeling comes, andthen often there's the, the
regret that I may follow, right?
Of the, which may be thisquestioning more than regret,
but the questioning of, was thatreally a good idea, right?
Anytime we make a decision, weare saying yes to something and
no to something, okay?
(09:30):
And so when you do that, thething that you're saying no to,
we can question if that was theright thing.
Was that the right direction?
Did I make the right decision?
Right?
And so, so that is actually anormal and natural part of the
process of change.
So that doesn't mean you'regoing down the wrong, wrong
(09:51):
path.
It just means that you're maydoing something different, okay?
And so allowing yourself to feelthat and really check in with
that and go through that kind offeeling of questioning, maybe
some regret, remorse about yourchoice and continue to move
forward.
Okay?
(10:12):
Um, if you wanna learn moreabout accessing your intuition,
I talk a little bit more aboutthat in a co a few of my podcast
episodes.
And, um, last week I talked alittle bit about that intuition
versus fear, peace.
And so for now, I want you totake a breath and stop, stop the
(10:36):
doing stop the hamster wheel.
Stop the just checking off yourlist, especially if you're
seeing the things that I'mtalking about where you just
keep moving tasks to the nextday, the next week, the next
month.
If you have so many things onyour list that you're not able
to complete everything, um, allthe time, you're feeling
(10:58):
stressed, you're being woken upat night because of this, uh,
worry of or you remember thingsthat you need to do.
Um, so if it's a lot of that andthat's how you're feeling, um,
in your business, then it's timeto take the c e o time and
examine what you're doing.
And like I shared, you canexamine it in buckets, right?
(11:18):
So you can take each differentareas of your business and
examine each thing and then, then look at where you can make
some changes.
And don't forget the internalwork and having a new set of
eyes to help you look at that of, uh, someone else, a different
perspective, right?
There are so many things that weoften don't see on our own.
(11:39):
And so that's the value of that.
And so what I want for you is tohave your purposeful, profitable
businesses, right?
And so, uh, I, I hope that thisdoing this
Speaker 2 (11:53):
Time will help you
see where you can make a change,
even if it's just one changemoving forward and even where
you, if you can let go of somethings and in the future, maybe
even delegate if that's possiblefor you.
Okay?
So until next week, here's toyour success.
(12:14):
Take good care.
Bye.
