Speaker 1 (00:00):
Do you want to five? It's the Erica Show, Crag
and Caroline from This is Raleigh in studio. Of course,
so much going on in the triangle it's hard to
keep up with. So y'all have narrowed down like five
things we got to check out this weekend.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Yes, five fun things. The festive season is here, it's crazy,
and tonight downtown Raleigh tree Lighting Celebration is on and
this year it's in More Square. You can shop at
their holiday market. There's a stage, there's dancing to live performances,
and you can get photos in Santa and of course.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
The tree lighting.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Yes, that's always a big I mean it's packed. It's
always a lot of fun.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
It's fun.

Speaker 4 (00:33):
And then the next day in the morning, we have
the Raleigh Christmas Parade in downtown Raleigh, rolling through from Hills.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
The Street to Vay Atfield Street.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
So come on down, see the floats and support local businesses.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
iHeart will be out there, so you'll see us walking
in our red hats and jackets and all the things.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
You wait bat yeah, yeah, that's fun.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
North Hills also has the annual Christmas tree lighting event
on Saturday evening. They have live music a ton of
kids activities. There's also a cool holiday market, and it's
such a festive atmosphere. It's one of my favorite events.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
I let we go all the time for that too.
It's always great.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
So you're there on Saturday, The twenty seventh Annual American
Indian Heritage Celebration will be on all day at the
North Carolina Museum of Art and the festival includes demonstrations, presentations,
and performances.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
Okay, awesome. And then one more thing we need to
check out this weekend.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Yeah, another tree lighting celebration if you can't get enough
Saturday night. This one's at Fenton in carry another Christmas market,
horse and carriage rides, photo opportunities, kids activities, and ice skating.
Santa will be there of course for the tree lighting.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Santa is busy this weekend. He is all over town.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
