This week on The Final Frontier Podcast, we dive into a certified TOS fan-favorite: “Journey to Babel” (Season 2, Episode 10)—and yes… you can pronounce it however you want. Babel? Babble? Bagel? We cover it all. 😄

Inside this episode:

-Spock’s family drama finally takes center stage (hello, Sarek & Amanda)

-A surprisingly tense whodunit murder mystery onboard the Enterprise

-Federation politics that are… let’s say “messy” (but wildly entertaining)

-The debut of Andorians and Tellarites, plus big implications for future Trek lore

-One of the most emotionally loaded Nimoy performances—without him saying much at all

We also hit some absolutely unhinged highlights:

✅ “There’s an awful lot of emotion in this room… and it’s all coming from the Vulcans.”

✅ Kirk getting lightly stabbed (and still somehow owning the room)

✅ A deep-cut connection between an ancient Vulcan killing method and later Trek lore

✅ The episode’s perfect sitcom-style ending—Bones getting the last word

If you love TOS continuity, Spock-centric episodes, and classic Trek “diplomacy meets chaos” storytelling, this one’s a must-listen.

📺 Watch along with us on Paramount+ and drop your takes in the comments—especially:

How do you pronounce Babel?

Next week: “Friday’s Child” 👀
