Speaker 1 (00:18):
Welcome back to the Freedom First Podcast.
I'm your host, justin Arrington.
Thank you once again for tuninginto today's show.
If this is the first time thatyou have listened to the podcast
, I just want you guys to know.
I appreciate you guys for beinghere.
Thank you for listening.
I drop a new episode everysingle day with little tips and
tricks that I have implementedinto my life, and I hope that
you guys can take nuggets ofyour own, start applying them

(00:41):
and eventually start living lifeon your own terms and building
that free lifestyle thateverybody is dreaming of.
And I know you guys can do itif you really pay attention and
start implementing the thingsthat I talk about.
They're little tips and tricksthat you can honestly start to
apply today.
These are things that I hopeyou guys take seriously, and

(01:04):
today's topic is actually onethat I am a daily practitioner
of and it's something that Idesperately need to improve at
and, honestly, this couldprobably be the fifth pillar if
we had one.
If you guys aren't familiarwith the four pillars, it's
faith, family, fitness andfinance.
Those are four topics that Ifrequently talk about on this

(01:27):
show, because those are the fourpillars of my life.
That's what I built my life on.
It's what I believe and I justhope to share as many things
that I can with you guys on that.
But if there were a fifthpillar, this would be it, and
that fifth pillar would bepatience.
Patience is not talked about atall in today's society.

(01:49):
Everybody wants immediategratification yesterday.
No one wants to put in the work, no one wants to put in the
time and no one wants to wait.
But guess what?
Good things come to those whowait.
Good things come to those whowait.
And as long as you're takingdaily action, as long as you're,
you know putting the work inand you know putting one foot in

(02:12):
front of the other, things willwork out for you.
You know, even though it tookJoe Schmo down the road, you
know a year to become amillionaire, you're not on his
path.
It may take you 7, 8, 10, 15,20 years.
You're on different paths.
God has a different path foreach and every one of us.

(02:33):
So even though success looksbetter over here on the other
side of the hill or yourneighbor over here has
everything that you want and youjust feel like you're stuck, be
patient, It'll come.
Don't give up.
Like it will come.
There's a quote by Gandhi that Ireally, that I really really

(02:55):
love, and it's to lose patienceis to lose the battle.
What's the battle?
What battle are you, are we inright now?
You know.
Maybe you're in the battle ofgrowing a business.
Maybe you're in the battle of,you know, making your body
better.
Maybe you're in the battlefighting for a relationship that
might be falling apart.
Maybe you're battling God.

(03:18):
Maybe you're trying to figureout if he really exists, maybe I
don't know.
But the second that you losepatience, you lose the battle,
you know.
So if your marriage sucks rightnow, it's going to take time to

(03:41):
build that back up.
It's not going to happenovernight.
If you and your spouse havefought for years and years and
have been on the brink ofdivorce but it just hasn't
happened yet, but you're finallytrying to better it and maybe
stay together, just know it'sgoing to take patience.
If you're super overweight andyou're just barely getting into

(04:04):
the gym.
If you're super overweight andyou're just barely getting into
the gym, just know it's going totake patience to get your body
where you want it to be, to losethat 10, 20, 50 pounds.
You got to be patient.
If you're in the process ofstarting a business.
It will come with patience.

(04:26):
Guys, when I went off on my ownand started my own business,
like I went almost five monthswithout making any money, it
would have been way easier forme to just throw in the towel
after a couple of weeks and belike you know what?
I'm not making money, it's notworth it, I'm going to go get
another job, calling it quits.
It would have been so mucheasier and so much less

(04:46):
stressful to just do that, but Istuck with it.
I grew to understand that Ineeded to be patient and to this
day, like, there's still thingslike I wish I could have
instant gratification.
I wish that I could have it now.
Like I remember when, uh, youknow, a couple of years ago, I
remember my wife wanted this carand I remember sticking it on

(05:09):
my vision board and I was like,oh man, I want that car right
now.
I want it right now.
What do I need to do?
And guess what?
That car sat on that visionboard for over a year and the
day that I pulled it into ourdriveway it was 100% worth the
wait to see the look on mywife's face when it was
delivered.

(05:32):
But that required patience.
You know, building a businessto doing multiple six figures
every single year that took alot of patience.
I wanted it right now.
Every single year.
That took a lot of patience.
I wanted it right now.
There's still people that I lookat that, you know, have these
multimillion dollarorganizations that you know are
absolutely crushing it.
And even though I admire thosepeople and I aspire to be like

(05:52):
them one day, I know that mytime will come.
I know that I'll get there.
I have 100% confidence inmyself that I will get there.
I just know, you know, it maytake me a little bit longer.
I've always been.
I've always been a little bitbehind.
I feel like I've been like thatmy entire life.
But guess what?

(06:12):
Your opportunity will presentitself.
And the second that it does, you have to be ready to
capitalize on it.
But you got to be patient.
God will reveal what yourpurpose is for you and your life
when you are ready.
All you have to do is bepatient.

(06:33):
But the second that you losethe patience, you lose the
battle, you lose the opportunityof life and to live.
So be a little bit more patienttoday.
Be patient with your kids, bepatient with your spouse.
If you guys are a dailylistener to the show.
Be patient with me.
I know I'm not perfect.

(06:53):
I'm probably putting a bunch ofthese episodes out that you
know you're just like man.
What is this guy even talkingabout?
He doesn't make sense half thetime.
Be patient with me.
Like, I know what I'm talkingabout, but you know I'm not
super great with words and youknow it just takes me a little
bit longer to get it out.
So start practicing patience.
Be patient with one thing today.

(07:16):
You know, if you, if you'rekind of irritated with your kids
, think about it, oh, you knowwhat, let me just be patient
with them for like 30 moreseconds and just see how it goes
.
See if you can see a differencein your life by being more
patient.
And just remember like goodthings come to those who wait.
But don't wait too long.
Don't procrastinate.

(07:36):
Wait for the moment to presentitself and capitalize and take
action on it.
Guys, that's all I have for youtoday.
Thank you once again for tuninginto the Freedom First podcast.
I appreciate you guys and we'llgo ahead and chat with you once

(07:58):
again tomorrow.
