Speaker 1 (00:18):
What's up, guys?
Welcome back to the FreedomFirst podcast.
This is Justin Arrington, backon the mic with another episode.
Thank you all for tuning inonce again today.
Guys, before we dive into it,all I ask is that if you get any
value from the show whatsoever, that you share it with at least
one person.
Share it with others on yoursocial media.
Maybe you need to text it overto someone, whoever that may be.
(00:39):
That's all I ask.
This is episode number 40.
So we have 40 days or 40episodes that we that I've
recorded.
That, um, you know, is honestlyjust there for you guys to go
and and dive deep into.
If you want to take notes, goahead.
Um, but I feel like everythingthat I talked about on this show
has some sort, could have somesort of effect on your life for
(01:01):
the better.
That's the whole reason that Ido this.
My goal is to make sure thateverybody is out there living
their absolute dream life and ifI can provide you a little tip
or trick here every now and thento to help you along in your
journey, that's great.
That's a win for me and I'msuper excited and I'm glad to do
this show.
It's a it's a grind for me torelease an episode every single
day.
You know, I got a lot going onin my life and, um, you know I I
(01:24):
don't have to do it, but it'ssomething that I want to do.
And, um, I was thinking aboutthat the other day.
Like you know what, I reallydon't even care if there's
people that listen to this show.
Like, if anything, I'm justgoing to have all of these
episodes that I'll be able topass on to my kids someday and,
um, you know that that alone isworth it, worth it to me, um,
but if it helps some of you guysalong the way, even better.
(01:46):
So, guys, we, uh, we talkedabout being a winner yesterday,
uh, versus a loser.
That was a.
That was an awesome episode.
If you guys have not listenedto that one, um, I highly
suggest you go back and listento that uh episode from
yesterday.
But today we're going to betalking about sales and before
you, before you turn the showoff and say, oh, I don't want to
learn about sales, or you knowI'm not in sales, so this
(02:08):
episode is not going to apply tome, I promise you just hang
tight with me for a minute,it'll all come full circle and
you will realize you are asalesman, even if you think that
you're not.
And so so why do I think thatit's important for everyone to
learn sales?
One?
Because I believe that sales iswhere you can make the most
money.
(02:28):
You know, I think that'sactually a fact You'll have to
go ahead and like Google, thator something, but sales there's
a ton of money in sales, youknow, whether that's
door-to-door sales, whether it'stech sales, whether it's any
type of sales, there's money tobe made, and so that that's
actually what pushed me to getinto sales.
(02:49):
When I did, you know, I juststarted my own family and I
figured you know what?
There's no better way to make aliving than than through sales.
And a lot of you guys might shyaway from that because most of
the time with sales, there'sthere's a lot of commission
based jobs out there, and that'sjust where most of the money is
made.
But, guys, if you can learn howto sell sorry, if you can learn
(03:10):
how to sell like, you're notgoing to have to worry about
making money for the rest ofyour life.
Like sales is a skill.
It's something that needs to beperfected, it's something that
needs to be practiced, and thebest way to do that is to
actually get out there and startselling.
And if you have a product oryou have something that you
highly highly believe in, it'sgoing to be a heck of a lot
(03:31):
easier for you to go out andsell that versus you know.
Ah, you know, I think thisproduct's pretty cool and maybe
I'll just throw it out there tosee you know how how the market
reacts.
Guys, like, some things are justnot made for you, and you know,
selling that particular itemmight come to you super easy or
(03:51):
it might be very difficult.
And if it's difficult, it'smost likely because you don't
100% believe in the product oryou know you have some issues
with it.
But if it, you know, just flowsright out of your mouth and
it's super easy, chances are, like, you love that product and
it's going to be very, very easyfor you to sell somebody else
on that product.
Um, you know, I have a.
(04:12):
I have a white monster in frontof me.
Uh, right now, like it'd bepretty easy for somebody to sell
me this white monster.
One, because I'm familiar withit, and two, I know it's good
and it may not be the best forme, but it's, it's good, I like
it and I feel like this is adrink that I'd be able to sell
to somebody else fairly easily.
One, because I'm a consumer ofit too.
I enjoy it and that's all thereis to it.
(04:33):
Like that, that sells in anutshell.
But for all of you guys outthere that are saying, like you
know what, I'm not in sales, sothis doesn't even apply to me,
justin, what are you eventalking about?
You are in sales, no matter howmuch you think you're not, you
are, um, you know, like you're.
You're selling yourself to yourfamily every single day.
(04:54):
You're selling yourself on youremployees, maybe your employer?
Um, you know, let's go downthat route for a second.
You know, if you guys have aboss, like every day that you
show up to work, you have tosell to that person, showing
them that you know what Iprovide enough value to be here.
So you have to sell yourself.
You know, if you're out in thedating world, you have to sell
(05:17):
yourself to whoever it is thatyou're asking out.
They're not just going to.
You know, take you for you, like you have to.
You have to sell them and showthem.
You know this is who I am.
This is what I can do.
Um, you know to your spouse, like I, I try to sell myself on
my, on my wife, every single daythat I can.
Um, you know, we we just hadour third, third baby boy the
other day and you know, now it'stime for me to to step up a
(05:39):
little bit and, you know, maybedo some more chores around the
house while she's recovering, while baby's you know, getting
used to this crazy world that welive in, but that's just little
things that I'm doing to likesell myself, to keep her
interested, and even to my kids, like spending time with them.
You're investing into them.
You're selling to your kids, saying you know what?
(06:00):
I'm a rad dad, I can do allthese cool things with you and
that's a selling point for themand they're going to want to
spend more time with you.
So does that make sense?
Like there's so manyopportunities that you're not
only selling yourself but you'reputting yourself out there to.
You know, get people to likeyou and, and there's nothing
wrong with that and um, I, Imean, I was never taught that
(06:24):
growing up.
Like that's just something thatI figured out, you know, on my
own, through through personaldevelopment and just honestly
through through my life'sexperiences.
So every day you're sellingyourself and even though it may
not apply to you at your job, atleast you don't think it is.
It is, I promise.
If you guys have employeessorry, but you're going to have
(06:45):
to sell yourself to youremployees.
You're going to have to sellthem the dream of what it is
that you're trying to build andhope that you know they latch
onto that they have that samevision and they'll go to the
moon with you.
So, guys, if you're sleeping onsales, I suggest that you really
start diving deep on how youcan better your communication
skills and better puttingyourself out there.
(07:08):
And maybe it's a product thatyou're selling.
Go out and be the best salesmanof that product that you
possibly can.
Maybe you're in sales,door-to-door sales, selling
solar or pest control orsomething like that.
Maybe you're a life insurancesalesman.
Maybe, gosh, I don't know.
Maybe you're a roofing, a roofroofer.
You know that there's so manydifferent.
(07:29):
Every industry has sales.
Everything that you do hassales.
So I want you guys to not shyaway from that.
Like everybody just has thisbad stigma on sales and the you
know everybody thinks thateveryone's a greasy salesman
whenever they're trying to sellyou something.
But you know, the fact is, ifthey believe in it, they're just
trying to make your life betterand if you're showing any sort
(07:50):
of interest, yeah, they're goingto sell you.
You know, there's nothing wrongwith that.
So, guys, get familiar withsales Because, like I said in
the beginning, the second thatyou master sales is the moment
in your life that you will nothave to worry about money again,
because that is a skill farbetter than any other skill that
(08:12):
I can think of right now, because it applies to such a
wide spectrum of things.
So, go out and master sales.
Go learn how to communicatewith people.
That's all it is.
Sales is just communicatingwith other people and getting
them to believe in you and inyour product or in yourself or
whatever.
So don't shy away from sales, because that is where you will
(08:36):
be able to not only make moremoney, but you'll be able to
make a ton of really awesomeconnections.
You'll be able to grow a betterrelationship with your family,
with your friends, anybody thatyou come in contact with.
Sales is the key.
Communication is the key toachieving that success.
So, guys, with that said, that's all I have for you today

(09:00):
about your journey on that.
