Speaker 1 (01:04):
Welcome to season two
.
We're going to have a lot offun.
We're going to start with a newbook and it's a book that so
many people have heard about.
People have seen thedocumentary, people have read
the book and I want to tap intoit and potentially give you a
perspective on this book thatmaybe you haven't heard before,
(01:26):
go deeper on a lot of the thingsthat are said in the book, so
that we see it from a completelydifferent perspective.
Because it's easy again to pickup a book and read it and get
the basic concepts of it.
But, quite frankly, in thisbook, this is a book that can be
studied, because if you justtook the sentence and spent an
(01:48):
hour on the sentence, you couldget so much from that.
But again, a lot of us are busy, we don't have time.
So you luckily have me tolisten to in the gym or in the
car or wherever you might beright now, and I'm going to help
break it down for you and makeit more understandable so that
(02:08):
you can really start to applythis information in your life.
Because that's the key.
We don't want to just readsomething, we want to read it,
get it and then apply it in ourlife, because if we do that,
that's when we're going to seechange.
Change occurs throughapplication, through taking
action.
So welcome back.
(02:29):
Season two, episode one.
We're going to be talking aboutthe book the Secret, and again,
great, great book.
You really could just take thisbook and read it over and over
again and if you do that you'regoing to get an understanding of
how this law of attractionreally works.
(02:50):
We hear it spoken about onsocial media.
You'll see a video come up andsay you can attract whatever you
want in your life.
And without understanding whatthat really means, it's very
difficult to have faith in theprinciple of law of attraction.
But again, we're going to divein deep, hit certain key points
(03:15):
of it and discuss it and giveyou a really, really good
understanding of it.
So let's jump in.
We are on page three.
I'm just starting at what isthe secret.
That's the section that I'mstarting on.
So Bob Proctor starts out bysaying you probably have been
sitting there wondering what isthe secret.
(03:36):
I'll tell you how I've come tounderstand it.
So he's going to give us hisunderstanding of what this
secret is that they're talkingabout.
In the book the Secret he sayswe all work with one infinite
power.
In order to continue with thisbook, we have to be willing to
say to ourselves I'm open toaccepting that there is some
(04:01):
infinite power out there.
It may not be the God that'swritten about in any, and the
cell splits and it splits again, and then ears develop and nose
(04:36):
develops, mouth and arms andlegs.
It's just truly miraculous.
The whole bone structure of thebaby develops.
How does that happen?
From the splitting of a cell, the baby develops.
How does that happen?
From the splitting of a cell.
And people might say well, there's DNA and the DNA.
Well, where does this DNA comefrom?
You know, this is kind of amiraculous code that's written
(05:00):
which tells us how we're goingto grow and how we're going to
develop.
But where in the world did thatcome from?
It's my opinion, and it's animportant thing to accept if
we're going to continue in thisbook, that there is a higher
power of some sort that iscontrolling everything and again
(05:20):
we've talked about this in theother book which is it controls
our heartbeat.
Forget everything else in ourbody, all the organ cells,
everything that's happening onits own, the blood flow, our
heart.
How does it know to do this andhow does it not stop?
Really think about that.
While you're, wherever you areright now, your heart is beating
(05:44):
.
Right now in your chest, it isdoing this incredible thing.
How is that doing that?
What's controlling that?
And again, there is a force, agreater power.
We all work with an infinitepower that controls everything.
And, by the way, that infinitepower is inside of us Again,
(06:07):
going back to talking about thecell that split and it split,
and then there was DNA that'scoding, is built into us, that
part of us that's operating allthese things inside of us, that
subconscious mind, which is adeep part of our mind, which is
connected to this intelligence,to this infinite power, and that
(06:31):
power is controlling everythinginside of us.
So, again, to walk around andsay to yourself I am not
powerful, I am not good enough,I am not strong, I am not smart
enough, there just simply isn'tthe case, because you're walking
around with a power inside ofyou that is so strong and so
(06:55):
powerful that it is literallycontrolling everything inside of
your body.
Your digestive system isdigesting the food.
Somehow, miraculously, thatpower exists inside of you the
filtration system, your kidneysand your bladder.
It's filtering out the bed andit's excreting it from your body
(07:18):
.
Well, how is that working?
And again, I'm using thesepoints because I think it's
really important to have theunderstanding that this infinite
power exists.
And not only does it existoutside somewhere, it's actually
right inside of us.
And so, if we know that, we cannever walk around and tell
(07:40):
anyone anything bad aboutourselves, because that power
lives right inside of us, thatpower controls many things
inside of us and we can tap intothat power, and that's part of
what this book is all about.
It's tapping into this infinitepower that exists right inside
of us and using it to help us,just like it helps with all the
(08:04):
other things that it does for us.
On.
And how often do you think ourheart beats?
How many times do you think itbeats per year?
Our heart, that thing that justcontracts and expands,
contracts and expands, and it'sdoing it on its own and it's
pushing blood all throughout ourbody and it's circulating all
really our life force, becauseif that heart stops, we no
(08:27):
longer exist, at least in ourbody.
42 million heartbeats per year.
Your heart beats 42 milliontimes per year.
How are you doing that?
You're not.
There's an infinite power.
There's a power that's rightinside of you, that power is
(08:48):
doing all the work, that poweris available to you anytime, and
I know I'm repeating this, butit needs to be heard.
It needs to sink into oursubconscious mind that I am
powerful.
I have infinite power rightinside of me.
(09:12):
God, or that infinite power, whatever you call it, the
universe, that power existsright inside of us and we can
tap into it right now.
What else?
How about?
How many times do you breathein and out per year?
(09:33):
How many times do you thinkit's 7.8 million times.
You breathe in and out.
Now, who's controlling that?
How are you actually breathing?
You go to sleep at night.
You're not thinking about yourbreathing, but somehow you're
(09:54):
breathing in, you're breathingout, you're breathing in, you're
breathing out.
Your heart is beating.
How is that happen?
Times we don't really sit backand think about how all of this
stuff is actually occurring, butit's occurring and it's
miraculous and it's powerful andit's something to be
(10:15):
unbelievably grateful for.
Right, because if any of thesesystems stop functioning, we
have issues at least with ourbody.
You get a nice cut.
You don't need stitches, butit's pretty good.
You put a bandaid, something toclean it out.
A, it's pretty good.
You put a band-aid, somethingto clean it out, a little bit of
medicine on there, but whatdoes your body actually start to
do?
It starts to heal, it starts toform a scab, and then the scab
(10:41):
eventually falls off and theskin underneath is repaired.
How is that happening, pair?
How is that happening?
It's this infinite power thatis right inside of us.
It's working inside of us allthe time, and if the only thing
you get from this recordingtoday is that you have this
(11:02):
power inside of you and you arethat power, you are a part of
that power, then never againcould you feel bad about
yourself because you are workingwith this incredible power and
that is a part of you.
Got it, get it Good?
(11:24):
All right, let's move on back tothe book.
So all that time that we justspent?
All right, let's move on backto the book.
So all that time that we justspent?
That was on the first sentence.
Most people would read thesentence we all work with one
infinite power and they wouldn'treally digest what that meant,
like we just did.
But let me ask you thisquestion the fact that we just
(11:44):
spent that time and went throughthat infinite power, doesn't
that mean a whole lot more toyou now than if you just would
have read that really quick andthen moved on to the next
sentence?
That's why we take the time todo.
What we're doing here is toreally digest what it's saying
(12:05):
here.
So let's move on to the secondsentence, which says we all
guide ourselves by exactly thesame laws.
The natural laws of theuniverse are so precise we can
send people to the moon and wecan time the landing with the
(12:26):
precision of a fraction of asecond.
What I want to focus on here isthe natural laws of the universe
.
What are these natural laws ofthe universe?
How do these natural laws ofthe universe affect us?
Let's use a very simple law ofthe universe Gravity.
If you go and walk to the edgeof a bridge and you step off of
(12:51):
the bridge, what will happen?
Of course, you're going to fall.
Why do you fall?
Because gravity pulls you down.
There's a force, there's a lawcalled gravity.
We can't see it, but it existsand we know it because if I take
myself and I walk to the edgeof the bridge and I step off,
(13:15):
I'm not going up in there, I'mgoing to go down and I'm going
to go into the water.
So there are lots of laws inthe universe that are out there.
Gravity is one of them.
There's also one called the lawof cause and effect.
In religious texts it'll saysomething like as you sow, so
(13:35):
shall you reap.
You reap.
In other words, what you putout there comes back.
If you're angry and you put outanger out in the world, anger
is what's going to come back toyou.
If I go up to someone at astore and I'm upset and I start
(13:55):
yelling at them, the chances ofthem treating me really well is
not so good.
Why?
Because of the law of cause andeffect, whatever we put out
comes back.
Sometimes, when we put it out,it comes back instantly.
Other times it doesn't.
It'll come back in other times.
For example, maybe I'm at workand I get into an argument with
(14:18):
the boss and I'm really angryand I'm spewing anger and anger.
Nothing's coming back at meright this second.
Then I get home and my wife isreally upset and she starts
yelling and screaming aboutsomething that happened.
That is part of the law ofcause and effect.
What I continuously put outwill come back in some other way
(14:41):
.
Let me ask you this question.
You go into a store, you bringsomething up to the cash
register, you give them $40.
They're supposed to give you $5back in change.
Instead, they give you $20 backand change.
You see it, you notice it andyou don't do anything.
(15:04):
You stick it in your pocket andyou're like yes, I got it, I
made money on this transaction.
I'm taking the money and I'mrunning Based on the law of
cause and effect.
What do you believe mighthappen as you move through your
day, week or month?
I can hear what you're saying, whether you're thinking it or
(15:28):
saying it out loud.
It's going to come back in someway or another.
Right?
Maybe I'll get a random chargefor 20 dollars that I wasn't
expecting.
Maybe I get a parking ticketand it's $20.
You can't get away with it,even though it feels like you
might be getting away withsomething.
(15:48):
In the moment, maybe, but inthe short to medium to long-term
guaranteed you're not.
That's because there's a law ofcause and effect.
That's the way it works.
I want to tell you a story.
I love this story related tothe law of cause and effect.
There was a homeless man thisis a true story.
(16:09):
It was in 2013, a homeless manin Kansas City.
He finds a diamond ring and heobviously is in a terrible
situation.
He could take that to the pawnshop, sell it and get money and
then be able to at least gethimself food and help take care
of himself.
However, he was able to findthe owner and he gave the ring
(16:35):
back to the owner.
Think about that.
That is someone that's homelessthat could really use the money
.
Takes the ring, gives it back.
Now let's talk about the law ofcause and effect.
What ends up happening?
Well, the owner gets it backand she and her husband were so
(16:56):
blown away that the homeless manactually gave back this ring to
her that she and he on socialmedia started a fundraiser for
the homeless person and ended upraising $190,000 for the
homeless person.
He gave it back and the law ofcause and effect spoke.
(17:19):
It said as you sow, so shallyou reap.
You gave back something thatwas a value that wasn't yours to
someone else.
Therefore, I'm going to giveyou something of value that
(18:13):
wasn't yours and therefore, heends up getting a check and
money for $190,000.
Now, if you're homeless, do youthink $190,000 might change
your life?
That might change anyone's lifeIf you got a check for $190,000
, that's life-changing.
(18:34):
The point to the story is wecan't get away with anything.
So if we have a choice on whatwe can put out into the world,
what do you think would be thebest thing for us to put out
into the world?
Would it be positive, kind, nice, loving, caring things, or
(18:56):
would it be anger, upset,resentment?
Whatever you put out will comeback to you.
As you sow, so shall you reap.
That is the law of cause andeffect.
These laws of the universe areextremely powerful.
(19:20):
You may not know of all of them, and that's fine.
I want to talk about one more, and it's called the law of
vibration.
And essentially, what the lawof vibration says is everything
in this world, on this planet, everything, everything around
you, your iPad, your phone, yourcomputer, your clock on the
(19:42):
wall, your watch, whatever it isit's all vibrating.
What do you mean?
It's vibrating, mike?
Well, if you break down all ofthese things that we have right,
whether it's the table that I'msitting at, the computer you
break it down to its smallestmolecules.
What are they right?
There's atoms and thensubatomic particles.
(20:04):
But those subatomic particles, when you look under a microscope
, you will see that there is aconstant state of vibration.
There is movement in everything.
If you look at your hand undera microscope, you're looking at
it right now and you're notseeing any movement.
But if you look at it under astrong enough microscope, at an
(20:26):
atomic level, you will see thisvibration and movement happening
, even though you can'tnecessarily see it with your own
two eyes.
And these vibrations right, mycomputer is vibrating at a very
different frequency or amount ofvibrations.
(20:47):
The speed of the vibration isdifferent than maybe my hand and
body.
You know, my heart is vibratingat a different frequency than
other things.
My computer monitor isvibrating.
There's all these frequenciesand what essentially a frequency
is?
It's that vibration.
(21:08):
It's the vibration that isoccurring on whatever it is that
we're looking at.
Now.
Here's the interesting thingOur thoughts, our words, all
vibrate at a certain frequency.
So if I'm thinking negativethoughts, those are vibrating at
(21:32):
a different frequency thanpositive thoughts, than positive
thoughts.
So everything is vibrating at adifferent frequency.
There's high-frequency thoughts, there's low-frequency thoughts
.
There's high-frequencyexperiences, there's
low-frequency experiences.
(21:54):
Norman Cousins he wrote a bookcalled the Anatomy of an Illness
.
He had a really crippling andpainful disease and the doctors
were treating him with all kindsof medications and he just
couldn't take it.
So he checked himself out ofthe hospital and into a hotel
room and what he did inside thehotel room was he decided I'm
(22:16):
just going to watch really funnycomedies, really funny movies,
so that I can get myselflaughing and feeling good and
vibrating on a very differentfrequency than he was when he
was sitting in the hospital in alot of pain and thinking all
these negative thoughts abouthow this disease is taking over
(22:36):
his life and will he ever getbetter.
Think about that for a second.
If you're sitting there andfocused on how you're not
feeling good, what frequency areyou operating on?
Would that be a high level or alow level?
Well, clearly, if we're focusedon sickness, that's a low level
frequency.
Well, if that frequency isaffecting the cells in our body
(22:58):
and our cells in our body areoperating on a low frequency and
they're vibrating at a verydifferent frequency than it
would if it's healthy what willcontinue to happen in our body?
Well, we're going to continueto not feel good because we're
consistently thinking thisnegative thought which is
putting us on this frequency ofillness.
(23:19):
If you think that this sounds alittle bit crazy, if you study
it, you'll realize it's notcrazy at all.
This guy, norman Cousins, wrotea book.
He's one of so many people thathave experienced stuff like
this.
So what he did was he spent allthis time laughing and feeling
(23:40):
good and watching these moviesthat made him have this belly
laugh, where he was laughing sohard.
Can you remember a time whereyou were laughing really hard
like that and you're you'recrying like you have tears
coming down your face?
Do you remember how good youfelt after and you're vibrating
on a completely differentfrequency.
When that's occurring and goodthings occur when you're
(24:01):
vibrating on that frequency, youjust feel great.
He decided I'm going to putmyself in that frequency on a
consistent basis.
What do you think ended uphappening?
He healed himself from thisunbelievably painful and
terrible disease.
What power does this give you torealize and understand that if
(24:26):
I can control the frequency,that I'm operating on a
consistent basis, what mighthappen in my life?
If you're someone out therethat's listening to this, that
feels anxious a lot, whatnegative thoughts are you
thinking consistently?
Because I guarantee you you'rethinking negative thoughts.
(24:48):
They're putting you into anegative vibration.
That negative vibration isoperating in the cells of your
body and then you go into afeeling of anxiety.
If you keep doing the samething, you will keep feeling the
same way.
The beautiful thing is, if wecan control the level of our
(25:10):
vibration, that frequency thatwe're operating on most of the
time, then we will literallychange our lives.
If you're operating on apositive frequency, if you're
focusing on things that arefunny and laughing and having
fun, and you say to yourself I'mgoing to work, but I'm also
going to have a lot of fun asI'm working, what do you think
(25:32):
is going to happen to your day?
Will it be a good day or a notso good day?
Obviously it's going to be agood day.
But when you show up to workand we've all done this before
you show up to work you're notfeeling good.
You woke up on the wrong sideof the bed, you had a fight with
someone at home, the kids didsomething that upset you, and
(25:53):
now you show up to work, operating on that frequency.
What starts to happen?
Well, don't people say to youMike, what's happening?
Are you okay?
You seem really likesomething's really bothering you
.
Right, because you're operatingon a specific frequency that is
detectable by other people.
Because if you're not operatingon the same frequency as
(26:16):
someone else.
Won't they sense that?
Haven't you sensed that?
Do you remember going into afriend's house?
They're married.
You go in and you just knowthat they've been fighting and
they've been arguing.
They never said anything, butyou can feel it.
You can feel there's some realserious tension in the air.
(26:39):
Why are you picking that up?
Because that's a level offrequency and your frequency is
very different.
So when you walk into thisfrequency, this vibration, this
feeling, that's what you startto feel.
I don't like this feeling.
That's the law of vibration.
Feel, I don't like this feeling.
(27:02):
That's the law of vibration.
These universal laws are soimportant to understand because
if you just understand this onelaw, the law of vibration, that
you're operating on a frequency, that your cells in your body
are operating on a specificfrequency, and when it's in a
negative frequency, things canhappen that aren't so good,
right, you get sick, you get ill, you get a disease because your
(27:26):
body's operating on a negativefrequency.
But if you can reverse that anddo what Norman Cousins did and
get yourself to laugh and justconsistently laugh laughter
therapy, right, you do that.
What do you think starts tohappen, potentially to the cells
of our body.
They're no longer operating onthat frequency.
(27:49):
All of a sudden they'revibrating at a different pattern
.
And if that's the case, what doyou think might happen to the
overall health?
Clearly, you can get better, and Norman Cousins isn't the
only person that this hashappened to.
Les Brown, who's a hugepersonal development speaker,
had a similar thing.
He was diagnosed I believe itwas cancer, and instead of
(28:12):
getting treatment, he decided todo something very similar with
laughter, and he spent two hoursa day laughing.
What do you think ended uphappening?
He healed his cancer withoutany treatment because the cells
of his body were operating on acompletely different frequency.
(28:34):
Different frequency.
When I say we are working withone infinite power, that power
inside of us.
That is part of the power.
Part of the power is knowingthat we can operate on different
frequencies, and whateverfrequency we operate at is what
we're going to end up feelingand getting more of.
(28:55):
If I turn on the news and Iwatch all these negative stories
, what frequency am I operatingon as I'm watching the news?
Is it going to be a positive ornegative?
Of course it's going to benegative.
Will that have an impact?
Yes, the more negativefrequency we're on, the worse it
(29:19):
is for us, because our cellsand all our body, everything is
operating on a negativefrequency.
That is not good.
You want the cells of your bodyto be in a place that's safe
and good and healthy.
But when you're watching thenews and focusing on negativity
and focusing on all the badthings in life and speaking
(29:42):
negatively about other peopleand not forgiving people and
holding all that resentmentinside, what do you think the
cells of your body?
What frequency are theyoperating on?
They're operating on a verynegative frequency.
When the cells operate andvibrate at a specific frequency,
(30:06):
they act and produce verydifferent results in your body.
So we know this to be true andif that's true, then we can use
this law of vibration toliterally change our life.
And the way that we use it iswe stay in a positive, upbeat
place.
(30:26):
Focus on gratitude and thingsthat you're grateful for in your
life.
There is so much to be gratefulfor.
We've spoken about this before.
Gratitude is key.
It's not making a list of fivethings that you're grateful for.
We've spoken about this before.
Gratitude is key.
It's not making a list of fivethings that you're grateful for.
I did my morning gratitude list.
No, you go downstairs and yousee your wife and you say I am
(30:48):
so grateful to have this personin my life, I am so grateful for
the love and the care and thecompassion, the friendship that
we have.
And if you're not getting alongwith your wife for whatever
reason, think about someone thatyou are getting along with,
someone that you are grateful tohave in your life, and focus on
that and keep going togratitude.
(31:08):
Now, when you're operating ingratitude, what do you think?
Frequency what's happening withthe frequency of your body?
What frequency are youoperating on?
Is it positive or negative?
Positive, and when you'reoperating a positive vibration
and the cells of your body areoperating in that vibration,
(31:30):
people can feel it.
You had the same experiencewhere you walk into a room and
someone is so upbeat, so happy, that it's literally contagious.
They're vibrating at a specificfrequency that you're not on
and suddenly you're affected byit, but you're affected by it in
a very positive way.
(31:51):
I'm going to wrap it up todaywith this what is the frequency
that I'm consistently operatingon?
And if it's negative, that'sokay, but what we want to do is
start working on making itpositive.
And again, we haven't evengotten into this book yet.
Right, we're just talking.
We're on the second or thirdsentence of this book, but you
(32:14):
can see that when it saysnatural laws of the universe,
there's so much more to thatsentence.
You could write books on thelaw of vibration, that frequency
.
You could write books on that, and here it's just mentioned and
most people will read that andit'll just go right by it and it
will mean nothing to them andyou're missing the real meaning
(32:37):
of the book.
So, that said, I hope this washelpful for you today.
I want to ask you a couple ofquestions before we jump off.
How can you use this newfoundknowledge, this law of vibration
?
How can you use that to helpyourself today?
What's one thing that you cando today to make sure that
(33:01):
you're operating on a positivefrequency?
Think about the answer to thatquestion and the most important
thing is, don't just say I'll dothat later.
Just think about the answer tothe question and then give
yourself an action that you cantake now to put this into place.
(33:22):
Because if you just change theway you're operating your
frequency right now, if you justlook at your health and forget
everything else that it's goingto affect in your life.
Everything changes.
You'll start to feel betterbecause your cells in your body
are vibrating at a differentfrequency than they once were.
(33:43):
This applies to money, thisapplies to your career, this
applies to every area of yourlife.
And we're just digging in.
We're on season two, episodeone.
We're just starting.
I don't know how long we'regoing to spend on this book, but
we're going to spend it until Ifeel like we've gotten a lot
(34:03):
out of it and we're ready tomove on.
So until the next episode, juststay really focused on what
vibration, what frequency am Ioperating on?
And number two is I have thisincredible power inside of me.
It's this infinite power.
It's controlling all thesemajor systems in my body and for
(34:25):
that reason alone, I can neversay to anyone, ever again, that
I'm not good enough or I'm notsmart or I'm not anything that's
negative, because you're theopposite of that.
You're unbelievably powerful.
And you were just told over theyears, these lies, these
limiting beliefs, that you'renot good enough.
