Market Capitalization (aka Market Cap) is one of the simplest — and most misunderstood — ways to measure a public company’s value.
It’s calculated by:
Share Price × Total Shares Outstanding = Market Cap
It doesn’t reflect revenue, profits, or cash on hand — it reflects what the market believes you’re worth right now.
