In Episode 17 of the Legal Genie Podcast, your host, Lara Quie, is in conversation with William McLaughlin.

William is a legal business developer and marketer based in Bangkok, Thailand. He specializes in improving back-end legal operations and helping lawyers with the business of law. He is the Business Development Manager at ZICO Law, a regional law firm operating in all 10 ASEAN countries. He is responsible for the firm’s business development operations in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Thailand, where he helps develop regional strategies to further drive client growth across Southeast Asia.

William also runs the BD Roundtable, a global community of legal business developers and marketers. The community brings people together to share tried and tested resources, tools, and know-how through virtual roundtable sessions. 

William is originally from Pennsylvania, in the United States, and has been working in Bangkok since 2010. He previously worked at Baker McKenzie and other consultancies before joining ZICO Law.
