In this fifth episode, Chrissy interviews (Ash and Marcus) A.M. Kusi, co-authors of several romance novels, including Brave Love. Chrissy starts with Would You Rather questions related to nature, love, and books, and then she launches into A.M. Kusi's romance novel, Brave Love.
This story is about Pippa Davis, a bookstore owner, trying to manage her epilepsy, dedicated to giving back all she can to make the world a better place. And Navy SEAL Mason Wright, who struggles with priorities, including with his daughter. When Mason starts taking his and Pippa's intimacy seriously, he accidentally fails his responsibility to his kid and pulls away, pained by his behavior. Can two perfectly matched people find the courage to fall in love?
Throughout the episode, Ash, Marcus, and Chrissy discuss the process of crafting characters, digging into bigger issues like trauma, police brutality, traumatic events, and other controversial issues, Ash and Marcus' love story, and the research process.
