The Corn Corn is sustenance, we eat the kernels and use the rest of the plant to build things and to make fire to warm our homes and cook the kernels. The stalks can be used for roofing and with the mud of Mother Gaia, make walls. Everything about Corn is abundant, it helps us and is tangible. Corn is prosperity in the real, physical world. Corn also says there is more than enough to go around. Let go of thoughts and fears of scarcity and not having enough or that someone will steal your abundance. Understand that the universe will provide, but you must be in a relationship with it in order to receive. You will reap what you sow.  We work hard to plant new ideas, and we hope they will grow and give us goodness and abundance in the future. Even when things were difficult, you did not lose faith in what you have planted. You have kept going. The corn takes time to grow and provide the abundance you are about to reap. It is time to be warry of shortcuts, things that seem to be too good or inner feelings of being entitled to a certain outcome.  Let go of insecurity, feelings or thoughts of there not being enough, or that someone else could take what is yours. You have all you need for success. Remember, it is always darkest before the dawn but you continued on, planting and nurturing. Now the spirit of the Corn comes to honor this and show you how bountiful the harvest is.  Now is the time to reap the rewards of effort, and trust. Regardless of whether the rewards are financial or the kind of prosperity measured in quality rather than quantity. Now is the time to feel blessed but don’t forget to share your good fortune. As we anticipate good fortune and abundance be careful! Do not try to rush the harvest of abundance. Get rich quick schemes and shortcuts will not help, they may damage the things you have planted. The Council In this card I see your guides. Whether you have connected with them or not, these souls, some call spirits, are with us through our physical lives, they love us unconditionally and they help us if we ask them to. But be clear. If you want to drive safely and free from accidents. You have to say that – verbally, or in your mind. When what you have asked for has been manifested, express your gratitude by saying “Thank you.” They do not judge but you will know in some way if you have not done as well as you could have. Always use all of your abilities to the fullest. Look around you, is there a message pointing to a lack of commitment and energy? Is the handwriting on the wall as they say. Or maybe it is the wall itself that is speaking out to you. If you have not connected with your guides, now is the time to spend some quiet time and do that.
