I wanna talk to you about when you get the call, specifically the call.
To be pulled up from the minors to the majors.
Will you be ready?
This stems from a couple of conversations I've had about folks that I called in the last yearor two about opportunities that were really an opportunity for them to advance their career.

When I called on them originally, they just weren't quite ready, and a year, eightmonths, nine months, 18 months later, they call me back with regret saying, gosh.
I didn't think I was ready at the time.
I missed that opportunity.
I see the person that was hired and what they've beenable to do, and I really wish I would've looked into that.
(00:46):
So my question is, at the end of baseball season, whenit's time for you to get called up, will you be ready?
Here are some factors that can help you decide if you are really ready.
First and foremost, you have to look at your current situation.
Are you professionally developing in the way that is gonna get you toyour goals at the three year mark, the five year mark, so forth and so on.

If you're not, that's okay.
Doesn't necessarily mean you need to make a move, but you do have to decide,Hey, how long am I gonna stay here before I do decide to do something about it?
Secondly, of course, this has to be in line with what's going on with you outside of the office.
Anytime you take on something new or different, it takes a tremendous amount of emotional energy.

And if you've got a lot going on at home, chances arethat's probably not the right time to throw gas on the fire.
Third thing is you have to look at the opportunity, andthis is where it takes a lot of objectivity and courage.
It's okay to take a risk as long as it's calculated, so besmart, get your facts, and make a well educated decision.
