Cox is a member of The Shadow SEC, a recently formed independent organization of six current academics that, like the earlier established Federal Reserve Shadow Open Market Committee, is intended to provide, encourage, facilitate and distribute policy discussions and debates relating to the federal securities laws and the SEC.
