- Yes, we knew it! The Texas Democrats who fled their state, headed to Illinois (and they're still there), were promised by several groups that, though those lawmakers are losing $500 a day for leaving Texas and not working, these groups will pay them anyway! Texas Governor Abbot is also taking actions to legally force their return to the Special Session underway in Texas. Oh yes, it's all about the pending realignment of voting districts that reportedly will turn 5 House seats to Republican representation that are currently Democrat.
- Add to that noise that it was revealed former Rep. Beto O'Rourke and billionaire George Soros are paying those lawmakers for doing this! And that includes the salaries they are losing by being away from their jobs, chartered jets to get to Illinois, housing, food, transportation, and covering their lost salary payments while gone.
- Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) announces she's running for Governor in Tennessee, which will leave her Senate seat open. Tim Burchett, a TN House representative, announced he will gladly occupy her seat in Congress.
- It looks like Trump and Putin will meet soon, but no details are available yet.
