When today's show began, House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries was at the podium in the House Chamber, giving a speech that is supposed to talk supporters of the Big Beautiful Bill NOT to support the passage in the upcoming vote to do so. Throughout the show, we monitored the status. Jeffries, who took the podium to begin his speech at 5:30 Eastern this morning, is still at the podium seven hours later! However, we covered a lot of ground:

• We discuss in detail the carryover from Trump's first term, including his need to deal with bureaucrats within the government who use their titles to attack the president in every possible way. In his first term, Trump had to replace many of these folks. It took a considerable amount of time to do that. To some degree, Trump is facing similar issues now.
• Another night of horror in Chicago. There was a mass shooting incident that happened overnight. Details in the show.
• Churches across the nation are making preparations to protect their members from physical harm at the hands of others. Security teams are becoming more necessary weekly as incidents of violence are growing in churches across the country.
• Our nation's interest rates need to be reduced! Details you'll hear in the show suggest that Fed Chairman Jerome Powell is unwilling to lower rates, even as our economic numbers continue to improve. You'll hear about the specifics of dozens of other nations whose federal interest rates are significantly lower than ours.
