Complex PTSD is something neither one of us had heard of until one of us got the diagnosis. That can often be how it goes, but instead of being scary, it put a name to all the symptoms and emotions.

Sarah tells her story of how she got here, a place of loss and grief piled up so high that sifting through was nearly impossible. She shares how the famous line, "It could always be worse," caused emotions to never be dealt with and therefore creating that massive pile of traumatic events untouched. She shares with us how she walks the line between these two worlds. One side full of peace and joy and one side with the drop into the abyss of depression and how the big loss of her mom five months ago shoved her right over that cliff.

Sarah also give us her tips for making it through. Some ideas to add to our suitcase of healing. None of them are the magic fix, but each one does a small thing to help her move a little bit closer to the other side where calmness and peace are waiting.
