Um, you have so many things thatwe're gonna talk about.
You have your hands in a lot ofum organizations and stores and
and all of that.
So welcome and yeah, just tellus about yourself.
Um how did you get started with?
I know you're the author ofWinning the Uh War on Cancer.
SPEAKER_00 (02:45):
Indeed, um the book
Winning the War on Cancer, the
epic journey towards a naturalcure.
Um and uh that that's uh now hasbecome, I mean, a bookseller has
uh has received uh um a lot ofprizes.
Uh it's an easy, easy-to-readstory that reads like a novel.
(03:06):
At the end of the book, peoplehave learned a lot about uh some
plant extracts able to fightcancer cells, about integrative
medicine, about what uh thegovernments can do to uh
researchers when they don't likethe results of the research.
Uh so it's an eye-opening for alot of people and at the same
(03:28):
time a book which is prettyentertaining to read.
I wanted to read it like peopleto read it for the story, also,
not just for the information.

So I know it started
with your your father.
So let's go back to him and thenhow you got into um continuing
his work.
SPEAKER_00 (03:49):
Reluctantly at the
beginning, and now I am so
grateful that uh thisopportunity was given to me
actually to change my life andto make it uh more more uh
meaningful and uh give put me inposition to help people in ways
that I would have never dreamedabout.
But indeed, everything startedwith my my father, he was a PhD
(04:13):
in molecular biology.
Uh he uh was in the 70s, 80s,one of the first scientists to
look at the environment as acause to cancer.
Uh, the famous double elix wasuh discovered by Watson and
Quick in the late uh 50s, early60s, that became the big thing.
(04:39):
And all the scientists at thetime thought that uh only
genetic genetic approach couldsolve all the disease, including
cancer.
And my father said uh if it wasonly genetic, the number of
cancer would stay pretty stable.
But we see the number of canceris increasing.
(05:01):
Therefore, there must be alsosomething else.
And uh he looked at theenvironment uh to understand how
environmental toxins affect ourDNA.
And he made the observation thatthere is a fundamental
difference between cancer cellsand healthy cells.
(05:21):
And you see this differencewhether you look at uh plants,
animals, humans.
Every time you have a healthycell, the two strands of the DNA
are nicely interwoven.
It is the famous double helix.
And the two strands of the DNAare well kept together with
hydrogen bonds.
(05:42):
But when you have a cancerouscell, the hydrogen bonds have
broken, and the two strands arenot well kept together, and they
have some big loops.
And that's when there is anincreased rate of synthesis of
the DNA, meaning the cellmultiply much faster than you
(06:04):
see those tumors that you do notsee with healthy cells.
So my father tested, hescreened, I mean, and that was
something really new back in the80s, a number of molecules to
see what would induce thisincreased rate of synthesis of
the DNA.
And then he used his test tolook for compounds, natural
(06:27):
compounds, that would do theopposite, that would
specifically recognize thosecancerous cells and selectively,
and so that's a very importantword, selectively prevent the
duplication of the DNA, destroythose cancer cells.
And selectively means that thenyou have products that are going
(06:53):
to recognize cancer cellswherever they are located.
What they recognize is adifferentiated uh DNA, okay,
wherever it is.
So you stop thinking in terms ofovarian, pancreatic, prostate,
brain cancer.
It doesn't matter anymore.
What matters is do you havecells with a destabilized DNA or
(07:16):
not.
And then the selectivity alsomeans no toxicity, no side
effect for healthy cells,because uh because what you can
see under the microscope, it'sabsolutely fascinating because
those plant extracts I'mspeaking about, and the the name
(07:37):
is Paopera and Rovolfiavomitoria, they both happen to
be naturally fluorescent.
So under the microscope, you cansee how the fluorescence, the
halo of fluorescence, whichmeans the plant extracts, is are
able to stay around healthycells.
(07:59):
But they penetrate, they reallyinvade cancerous cells.
And then they induce apoptosis,which is the death of cancer
cells, but selectively with notoxicity to healthy cells.
So if you do not have any uhcancerous cell or precancerous
cell, the product is not goingto penetrate any cell, and you
(08:22):
are going to naturally eliminatethe product in a matter of hours
without side effects.
So my father published all thoseresults back in the 80s, 90s,
and he got the interest of a lotof French doctors who were very
excited because it was kind of auniversal approach to fight all
(08:43):
cancers without any toxicity.
So um he got very, verysuccessful.
And in the early 90s, um one ofthose doctors called my father
and said, Well, I'm being askedto help François Mitterrand, who
was a French president of theFrench Republic uh in the early
(09:07):
90s.
It was the beginning of thesecond term of François
Mitterrand, and he was diagnosedwith advanced prostate cancer.
And the surgeon had come to theFrench White House and said his
cancer has spread everywhere,he's not going to be able to
finish his second term.
Terms were seven years at thetime.
(09:29):
And uh we are going to put himunder morphine, we are going to
prepare the country for earlyelections.
But Mitterrand had a mistresswho knew about one of those good
doctors got good results uh withprostate cancer, and that's how
Mitterrand started to take uhthe Beljansky products.
And against all odds, uh to theamazement uh and dismay of the
(09:56):
political class uh who have theopposition, political
opposition, the presidentstarted to get better and
better.
And uh he finished his secondterm.
I mean, that lasted years, andit was very visible to the
public because I mean he he wasa president.
There was no social media andall those things at the time,
(10:17):
but still he was appeared backon TV, he was giving press
conferences and things that uh alot of people thought he would
not be able to do.
So uh everything was okay aslong as Mitterrand was alive.
When finally Mitterrand passedaway in a matter of months, the
(10:39):
French army uh sent uh a SWATteam to my father's laboratory
to destroy his laboratory, todestroy him, to destroy his
research, to destroy anyinformation.
I was at the time, I was um uh Idid not I mean five, I come from
(11:00):
five uh generations ofscientists.
So I thought, I mean, I we aregoing to break the curse here.
I'm never going to be involvedwith health.
Uh, this is not for me.
I grew up seeing all thosepeople coming at home uh crying
because I'd been diagnosed withcancer and then coming back with
flour chocolates.
(11:20):
I said, I don't want to beinvaded when I grow up.
I want, I want, I will dosomething else.
And I went to law school.
So I was working in the New Yorklaw firm as a foreign legal
associate when I on in October996, when um I was a little bit
(11:40):
homesick, and I decided to callmy father at the laboratory.
And uh it was ringing, ringing,ringing.
So I thought it was prettystrange.
And I called my my my mom uh inParis at home, and I have a
voice saying, excuse me, who isthis?
I said, uh mom.
(12:03):
And then the voice says, Oh, youcannot speak to your mom, she's
under arrest.
So what?
And my first reaction was, I'm alawyer, I want to speak to my
client.
Wow, wow, okay.
And that's how I learned thatboth of my parents had been
arrested, that the SWAT team hadcome to the laboratory with
(12:27):
machine uh guns, dogs, and thatthey they had an helicopter uh
circling over the laboratory,and that both of my parents were
arrested.
The doctors working with themwere arrested, the pharmacists
were working with them, whereasthe damning 50 people were
arrested.
There was a laundry uh list ofcharges, and um that really did
(12:50):
not make sense.
Absolutely from day one.
As a lawyer, I knew it did notmake sense, and this was not
about uh bringing a man tojustice, it was about destroying
evidence.
And uh I, you know, that mysense of justice was like uh I'm
never going to allow that tohappen.
(13:10):
I I kind of know I'm going tofight that.
So I first started withfighting, I mean, diving into uh
my my parents' legal defense,and the more I was uh looking at
this legal file, the more fishyit looked.
And then when I started toorganize a defense and ask uh uh
(13:31):
for for for dates and forexpertise and a trial date and
counter expertise and so on, itwas no, no, no.
Delay, deny, delay, deny, delay,deny.
And we were absolutely goingnowhere.
And my father uh becameextremely sick.
We believe he was um poisonedduring the time of um of this uh
(13:55):
raid against the laboratory.
Two months later he wasdiagnosed with advanced myeloid
leukemia, and uh for a man inhis 70s that was absolutely
fatal.
So uh then my my focus shifted alittle bit.
Uh I took the case to theEuropean Court of Human Rights
(14:15):
because I wanted my father tohave a day in court.
They were refusing to give him aday in court.
I mean, you cannot let somebodyrot in house arrest without ever
giving him his day in court.
And actually, we won anunanimous decision at the
European Court of Human Rightsbecause the French government
(14:37):
would rather lose the case thanexplain what they did and why
they did it.
Wow.
SPEAKER_02 (14:45):
How long did this
whole process take?
Like how long was the innocent?
SPEAKER_00 (14:49):
It took four years.
They were also uh stalling asmuch as they could, postponing,
uh asking for delays.
It took me four years, but I wonan unanimous case.
And then I quickly realized uhmy father had passed in the
meantime, and a lot of peoplecame to my father's funerals
(15:11):
telling me, you know, withoutyour father, I would not be
here, I would not have been ableto walk my daughter down the
aisle, I would not have beenable to play with my
grandchildren.
And I felt the most importantwas not so much a legal win, it
was about carrying on with thisscientific legacy, continuing to
(15:35):
make the products available tothe people who need it and want
those products.
And uh also I was very affectedby the way uh my father's name
was um slandered in the Frenchpapers.
Uh I mean it was Hocus Pocus, myfather was kind of described as
(15:58):
a crook.
And uh I felt very, very, verybad about that.
It was, and I decided to startthe Here, the Belgianski
Foundation as a uh 501 uhorganization, and start some um
uh uh partnerships with academicinstitutions and confirm my
(16:22):
father's work.
And at first, that's what we wedid.
We worked at uh ColumbiaUniversity on prostate cancer,
Kansas University Medical Centeron ovarian and pancreatic
cancer, and uh and then so wehad the confirmation that indeed
those plant extracts were ableto work on different kinds of
(16:44):
cancer cells, different stagesof cancer, no toxicity on
healthy cells, the synergy ofaction with different kinds of
uh chemotherapies, which is veryimportant because people don't
want to sometimes to have tochoose between conventional
treatment and uh and integrativemedicine.
(17:08):
Uh but then we were able to gobeyond that.
And at the time of my father,nobody was speaking of cancer
stem cells.
Cancer stem cells are thosecells within the tumor which are
embryonic, and they are, let'ssay, tumorose cancer cells.
(17:29):
Uh they they areundifferentiated, they are the
babies, the next generation.
And it happens that they resistchemotherapies.
So when you go to havechemotherapy, the doctor is
saying, Oh, you are doing well,you are um uh uh responding to
the treatment, the tumor, thetumor is shrinking.
(17:52):
But in fact, they are destroyingthe uh adult and least
aggressive cells.
The embryonic ones,undifferentiated ones, they are
able to resist, they are able tostay in the body for a long
time, and maybe one daysomething will trigger those
(18:12):
cells and they will start a newtumor, and that's cancer
relapse.
So we know that about one out offive cancer do relapse, and uh
five out of five people who havehad cancer live in fear that the
(18:33):
cancer relapse.
So having a solution, a naturalnon-toxic solution for cancer
stem cells, seemed like uh thegrass, the goal, the that a lot
of scientists around the worldare looking for that, for that
solution.
And um, we tried our littleplant extracts, and they both
(18:55):
work.
We have had some research doneon already on ovarian and
pancreatic cancer uh stem cells,and that has been published
already.
Uh, the research was done atKansas University Medical
Center.
The publications are availablelike all the other publications
uh that stem from the researchof funded by the Beljanski
(19:17):
Foundation.
Everything is on Beljanski.org.
Everybody can look at thosepublications, print, download
them, print them, share themwith their doctor, ask if that
would be a good idea.
And uh we recently um uh fundedresearch on breast cancer stem
cells.
(19:37):
Breast cancer is the firstkiller when it comes to cancer
for for women.
So uh having something that wecould offer to women from to use
from day one of diagnosis,because you don't want to let
that to fester those cancer stemcells.
You want to destroy them forfrom day one.
(20:01):
And we had just completed theresearch in vitro and in vivo on
mice grafted with veryaggressive breast cancer stem
cells.
And it's amazing.
I mean, we see the mice nottreated with the Pauperandra
volfia vomitoria.
They develop metastasis, a lotof metastasis.
(20:23):
And then the mice treated withthose plant extracts, zero
metastasis.
So the publication is not outyet.
It will come soon, hopefully,and will be added to our
collections, uh collection of uhof publications on the
beljanski.org.
And we are uh already uh tryingto find a new research project
(20:46):
on prostate cancer stem cells,because of, of course, men have
the same problem of uh of cancerrelapsing, and we think that
those plant extracts will workjust as well on prostate cancer
stem cells, but of course, wehave to do the research.

So um Shiny, this is Shiny, umSylvie.

So with the supplements, are youI was reading that you're not
saying don't do chemo, you'resaying that this complements it.
Are they pills?
Are they like how does thatwork?
SPEAKER_00 (21:20):
Yes.
So uh it is very, very it wasvery, very important already at
the time of my father, and uhthat's something that has been
repeated uh by the BelznikiFoundation is to show the
synergy of action between thoseplant extracts and uh
chemotherapies.
And I say when I saychemotherapies, it's because it
(21:43):
was done at the time uh I mean,the synergy was demonstrated
already at the time of my fatherwith uh the chemotherapy which
were very common at the time,like 5FU or cyclophospamide.
And now we have done theresearch uh again with gem
citabine and carboplatin, whichare the the premium
(22:05):
chemotherapies for ovarian andpancreatic cancer.
Uh so yes, what we see is thatthose uh chemotherapy works by
itself.
Uh those plant extracts workalso by themselves, but when you
put them together, you reachlike uh an inhibition of up to
85 to 95 of cancerous cellswithout uh without any added
(22:32):
toxicity.
And that has been documented onovarian and pancreatic cancer
stems uh cancer cells in vitroand in vivo.
SPEAKER_01 (22:42):
Um pardon me for my
uh my delay, but I've been
listening to you from the secondI I dropped in.
Um it's fascinating work youhave done, and it's incredible
what you've done for yourfather.
I have a question.
What what is the specificcriteria that a patient must
meet to have this?
(23:03):
Is or is there a criteria?
SPEAKER_00 (23:07):
I mean, uh everybody
can take those supplements.
Uh, Pau Pereira uh is a plantcoming from the Amazon
rainforest.
It was traditionally used uh inSouth America to fight malaria
because it has also some uhantiviral uh benefit.
And um what my father is thefirst one to have uh seen the
(23:31):
benefit for for can for cancer,but the plant extracts has been
available uh now for uh 50years.
And uh because it's also as anantiviral benefit, if everybody
can can can take it, I've seenas you feel some some beginning
of flu or or whatever.
(23:51):
Um there have been also some uhtestimonials saying that it
works very well uh for uh peoplewith uh uh HPV, um papioma
virus, uh herpes.
Uh there was at the time of myfather back in the 80s, of
course, the big thing was uh theEz virus, and uh at the
(24:16):
beginning of the pandemic, myfather was approached with a
number uh by a number of peoplewho had been recently diagnosed,
and uh there was no drug uh towhich had been already developed
at the time.
So they benefited greatly uhfrom the the Paupera extract.
(24:38):
And my father was able to have aclinical trial in a French
hospital for uh patients we hadbeen followed for one full year
uh with the AIDS virus andtaking Paopera.
And you could see that their uhimmunity was improving instead
of declining, which is what isexpected when a patient has uh
(25:01):
the ADS virus and is not doingany, not taking any treatment.
And the the Ravolfia vomitoria,uh Ravolfia uh is coming uh
historically from from India,it's a very well-known plant in
uh Ayurvedic medicine.
Uh, what my father discoveredabout the Ravolfia vomitoria is
(25:25):
that uh there is a component ofthis of this extract which which
may be toxic and actually inducecancer, and that's the alkaloid
reserpine within the Ravolfiaextract.
So he went at great lengths touh develop a filtration system
(25:46):
that allows to remove thereserpine and the Ravolfia
vomitoria extract that he isusing and we continue to use,
uh, is devoid of reserpine, isand the the the alkaloid that uh
is a biomarker for this uhextract is uh uh alstonin.
(26:08):
And alstonin acts very much likeuh flavoperin, which is a
biomarker of Paopera, and bothhave this uh large spectrum
anti-cancer uh effect.
And uh Paupera has also theantiviral benefit of olfia is
(26:29):
more about uh regulating thehormones.
It has been very helpful for uhwomen uh undergoing menopause,
also uh people with having uminfertility issue, uh, if there
is no mechanical uh problem, ofcourse.
I mean the best the goodapproach is to remove the
(26:53):
toxicity uh in the body as muchas you can, a good detox, and
then Rovolfia vomitoria for theuh father to be and for the
mother to be.
And uh the results are amazing.
And I have been speaking with anumber of uh of doctors who have
uh confirmed that to me.
My father actually had a wall uhuh covered with pictures of
(27:16):
babies that he called theRovolfia babies, and uh and uh I
wish that was would we couldmore do more research about
that, but we cannot doeverything.
SPEAKER_02 (27:29):

So Shiny and I can take yoursupplements, is what you're
saying.
SPEAKER_00 (27:34):
Yeah, yes, the
supplements, the supplements are
available.
There is also uh ginkgo extract,which is completely different
from the gold, uh from the greenginkgo that everybody knows.
It's made only of golden leaves.
And uh those uh those leaves uhwhen they turn yellow in the
fall, this is uh the change ofcolor is a result of the change
(27:58):
of chemistry.
So what you extract is differentfrom the commercial green ginkgo
extract that you findeverywhere.
And this golden ginkgo extractuh helps with skin fibrosis that
can reduce from radiation and uhalso uh helps uh inhibit
(28:21):
angiogenine.
Angiogenine is the enzymes thatcancer cells uh develop to
create new blood vessels.
And they need all those bloodvessels to uh feed themselves in
order to grow, to spread andcreate those big tumors, but
also to spread to other organs.
(28:43):
So by inhibiting rangiogenine,we are starving cancer cells and
preventing them from spread.
Uh, so that's a very also umuseful um extract that can be uh
benefiting to everybody uhsuffering with cancer, and
especially those uh going underradiotherapy because of uh it
(29:08):
helps avoid the the burns.
It helps actually regulate theenzymes of the liver, and the
liver creates a collagen, andthat's how uh this product can
help uh limit the side effectsof the burns resulting from
radiation.
SPEAKER_02 (29:25):
So, I mean, from my
point of view, this sounds
amazing and it's wonderful, andand your dad's work seemed like
it's you know, he wanted to helppeople.
I don't understand why that wasa crime.
So the why?
What's the why?
SPEAKER_00 (29:44):
If it was really a
crime, they would they would
have I mean uh defended the caseat the European Court of Human
Rights.
But you are absolutely right,it's not a crime, and that's why
they came zit nothing, they hadnothing to say.
Uh it was a political offense.
Uh it was a political offense tooffer something natural that
(30:09):
worked better than whatconventional doctors had to
offer.
It was a political offense to uhthe opposition party who came to
power after that, and have feltthat because of those little
plant extracts, they had stayedin the opposition for several
years and uh had not been ableto uh take over sooner because
(30:36):
the president did not die andthere was no early election.
Uh so there was some uhpharmaceutical companies and
some uh government officials uhwho colluded actually uh to uh
to make sure that uh those plotextracts would not uh would not
(30:58):
continue to see the light of theday in France.
Uh that what they did notforesee is that uh I would
decide to stay in the states anduh carry on with this legacy.
And that has been 30 years.
I could not be more proud ofwhat the Beljanski Foundation
has achieved and uh and thebeautiful results.

I mean, my joy is to in my lifeis to be able to present those
results, and uh that's why I'mso grateful to be here with you
today.

Uh this year it's going to beour third Belgian ski

experts in cancer and beyond insupporting the immune system
that are uh coming together anduh and give lectures.
So I think it's a greatopportunity for everybody
concerned with cancer to come,to listen to all those doctors,
(33:37):
to see if there is something uhthat uh is I mean resonates more
with you, and you want to stayin touch with this doctor and
become one of his patients.

I um I I think I'm
just I was in awe of everything
that you were explaining becauseyou know um, you know, from
everything you're saying, youhave legal you have legal
background, medical background.
SPEAKER_00 (34:04):
Um, I don't have a
medical background.
I am not a doctor.
Uh I just learned a lot uh alongthe way when I was uh when I was
confronted with the urge ofmaking sure that this knowledge
would not disappear.
First, I had to make the learnas much as I could, as quickly
(34:28):
as I could.
Maybe my legal background uhhelped me helped me there, and
then make the products availablehere.
Uh do the filing with the FDA.
Those products have been havebeen filed with the FDA back in
1996, 97 as new dietaryingredients, so to make them
legally available here in theStates and that uh uh make sure
(34:50):
that what happened in Francewould not repeat here.
Uh and I have to say that uh I'mvery grateful with uh with um
for everything here in thiscountry for America, which have
given me the opportunity topursue my dream, uh to create a
company, to uh create thisfoundation, to continue the
(35:14):
research, uh, and to continue tohelp people.
And uh I could not be more uhmore proud to be American of my
country and uh to to have thisuh this opportunity to um to to
to carry on with this legacy.
I had I stayed in France, thatwould not have been possible.
SPEAKER_02 (35:38):
I'm sure your father
is so proud of you, so so proud.
Was your mom able to live longenough to see you continue his
work?
SPEAKER_00 (35:46):
Yes, yes, I got my
mom a green card, and she came
with me uh and stayed in NewYork for the past 20 years of
her life, and I was able to takecare of her.
And uh until like uh two weeksbefore she passed, she was
coming every day to the officeand she was making a point to
(36:08):
help answer the phone, to becontinue to be useful and to
reassure people.
Of course, she was doing thatfor French people because her
English was not good enough, butuh she she continued to make
herself useful and to help witheverywhere she could to carry on
(36:29):
with this legacy.
And she was really she helped,she taught me a lot.
My parents have been workingtogether for for many years.
She was my mom was the one whouh explained to me at the
beginning the science in reallyuh simple words, and the first
