You can have the affirmations, the routines, and the “strong mind” and still feel strangely disconnected inside. That’s the moment we lean into here: not more hustle, not another identity upgrade, but integration. I’m joined by Marvin L. Wilkerson, a spiritual coach, hypnotherapist, and astrologer with decades of experience helping people uncover karmic patterns, release emotional blocks, and align mind, body, and soul.

We talk about why healing often stalls when it stays purely mental, and how the subconscious mind quietly runs the show through conditioning, fear, and negative self-talk. Marvin shares how evolutionary astrology can act like an energy map for what your soul came here to learn, and how hypnotherapy and quantum healing states can help you soften the ego’s grip so your nervous system can finally settle. We also unpack “soul fragmentation” and the real-life ways it can show up, from chronic stress and grief to feeling drained in relationships or stuck in compulsive loops.

You’ll leave with grounded takeaways you can try right now, including a simple gut-check practice for separating intuition from anxious thinking, plus a clearer framework for change: beliefs shift over time, and real change usually asks us to risk something. If you’ve been craving peace, clarity, and a more centered version of yourself, press play and come sit with this conversation.

Integrating Mind, Body, andSoul.
Welcome, Marvin.

SPEAKER_01 (02:37):
Well, thank you for having me.

SPEAKER_02 (02:40):
So I always love people's origin stories.
So let's start from thebeginning.
Like, how did you get into thispassion for astrology,
hypnotherapy, um, spiritualcoaching?
What led you to that?

SPEAKER_01 (02:54):
Well, it all got started in when I was 18 years
old and uh read the book UmThink on These Things by Judah
Krishna Murdy, which moved metowards a more metaphysical,
spiritual uh ideas about thingsthat I could think for myself

(03:14):
and come to um beliefs that werethat felt better than um the the
religious um programming that wewere in as uh growing up as
children.
Um so then I got you know anastrology reading, a psychic
reading, card readings.

(03:36):
And of course, um I lived inVirginia Beach, which is uh the
Edgar Casey Foundation, isthere.
So I did a lot of research inthe Edgar Casey Foundation and a
lot of their a lot of hisreadings.
So that's kind of where I got mystart.
And then, of course, in the 80s,I uh started really getting

(03:58):
deeply into astrology and umstarted doing it professionally
uh in the early 90s.

SPEAKER_02 (04:07):
So, with all of these things, how do they come
together?
Like how do you coach someone?
Obviously, you're about themind, the body, and the soul.
Um, how do you bring all thesethings together to help us um be
at peace with ourselves and youknow come to terms with any
trauma that we've had?

SPEAKER_01 (04:28):
Well, all is energy, so that's where the astrology
comes in.
And then all is in thesubconscious mind, and that's
where hypnosis comes in.
So when I get people that cometo me with conflicts or um
struggles in their life, thenI'm going to do both of them.

(04:52):
Um the astrologically, I'll beable to understand the energy.
It's a map of energy of their uhof their life, and it's what the
soul came in to accomplish.
As a spiritual astrologer, Iwork with evolutionary astrology
based upon the principles of youcame in to accomplish uh certain

(05:17):
goals, certain perspectives andperceptions that have been error
in your past.
And so you as we go through lifeand and uh go through the
experiences, well then thesekind of come up as uh what is a
another perspective than the onethat I had that is um not

(05:40):
aligning up with me.
Um Carl Jung said, you know, when the when the conscious mind
knows what's in the subconsciousmind, you'll be enlightened.
And so what we've got to do isevery conflict, every illness,
every disease, everymanifestation of energy is is uh

(06:07):
is the conflict that uh if we'renot aligning with our authentic
self, our self-realized self.

SPEAKER_02 (06:16):
Okay.
So give me an example of like,I'm coming to you.
Do you deal with all types oftrauma, or is there certain
things that you deal with, or isit just a matter of the
individual?
How do you how do you walksomeone through through that?
Like I'm curious, like what theprocess is, or does it just
depend on the individual?

SPEAKER_01 (06:34):
I mean, the first thing that I do is I pull a
chart, um, the astrology map,and as you're talking to me
about different issues, I cansee what energies that you are
struggling with or working with,or see what energies are uh
dominating you right now, causing the the conflict.

(06:57):
And then once I once Iunderstand that and we can we
relate to that, then I can uhonce I find the source of that
conflict, then I can find thesource of what is the
programming from your earlychildhood, what is their
conditioning um that you areoperating with versus operating

(07:22):
how you would prefer to see it.
So we break it down into somesomewhat of uh it's it's always
a conflict between the head andthe heart.

SPEAKER_02 (07:32):
Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (07:33):
And when there's a conflict between the head and
the heart, that's a problem.

SPEAKER_02 (07:37):
Oh yeah.
So how do we bring those twothings together so they align?

SPEAKER_01 (07:42):
Well, because we've got to understand that what is
in your mind, uh, yourself-talk, your ego, um, your
personal consciousness is has uhprograms and conditioning that's
an error to who you are as asoul, as a person.

(08:03):
And so my job would be to helpyou get that aligned so that you
see where you're operating ortalking to yourself through
self-talk that's negative, sothat you can then get much more
in alignment with how you preferto believe and communicate with

(08:25):
yourself.
And so the problem is, is Imean, you know, however, um
whatever the subconscious mindis feeding you, then that is a
chemical reaction in the brain.
And the chemical reaction, I Ilike to make it simple.

(08:46):
In other words, if you have anissue, then there is a
connection in one part of thebrain that is connecting to a
negative part that's causing theproblem and it's causing the
imbalance chemically.
And so that's what we'reultimately trying to do is get
into uh alignment with what youwould prefer to respond to in

(09:12):
life, how you would prefer torespond in life, and then that
would require a new connectionin the brain that is causing
some of the um the basic issuenow with the clients that you
have.

SPEAKER_02 (09:30):
How long is this process normally take for for
someone just to get it?
Or does it depend?

SPEAKER_01 (09:37):
Well, I work with a package of five.
I like to work with fivesessions and they listen to
recordings because anytime yougo into hypnosis, you're you're
leaving the ego structure, you're leaving the conscious
mind.
And that's where all that thethe language you're using in

(10:01):
life is causing the problems.
And the ego is always trying toprotect you because it's in it
wants to be in charge.
So as you go into hypnosis andyou start seeing the relaxation
you're capable of, if you startseeing the high awareness that
you're capable it of, if we gointo quantum healing, well,

(10:26):
you're losing a sense ofidentity, a separateness from
universal consciousness or Godor whatever you uh aspire.
Um and so once you'veexperienced all that, well, then
you come more in alignment withyour authentic self, your true

(10:46):
self, how you would like to bein balance, or how you would
like to be centered, or how youwould like to think about things
um that are different than whatthe ego mind is thinking.

SPEAKER_02 (11:02):
So let's can we talk about your book?
Because I'm sure all thesethings are in this book.
So you you wrote a book, SoulFusion, um, healing, integrating
mind, body, and soul.
What is um what inspired you?
Like, is it years of all yourresearch, or how did you get to
writing your book?

SPEAKER_01 (11:23):
Well, I mean, you know, above all, I'm a
metaphysicist, metaphysician, soyou know, I'm always seeking
truth for many, many, many, manyyears.
And um I I I frequently tellpeople that um there's universal
laws, and universal truths andlaws can come from many

(11:46):
different ways.
Um, from esoteric traditions toHermeticism, uh, Vedic
philosophies comes from naturallaws through physics.
I just love quantum physics, uh,biology, um, and then
philosophies like the great umPlato, Aristotle, uh, Marcus

(12:10):
Aurelius, Stoicism.
And then, of course, we havemodern psychology, it's a body
mind sciences, like a Carl Jung, like um and New Thought, um,
Neville Goddard are um are justsome of the sources where what I

(12:34):
try to uh understand universallaw as if if Lazou said it 1500
years before Christ, and everyrealized being since then has
been saying the exact same thingup to modern day psychology,

(12:56):
that must be true.

unknown (12:58):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (12:59):
And that becomes a universal law.
It's a universal truth.
And then the final step is whatmy teacher taught me in the 90s,
and that's walk the talk.
Yeah.
If you can't walk the talk, throw it away.
Yeah, but whatever you believein, and I don't care if you're a
Christian, if you're a Buddhist,or you're any number of

(13:23):
religious orientations, oryou're just a spiritual
metaphysician, walk the talk.
And then that will bring youinto balance, and that will make
correction in the ego structureand your heart.
And it will make corrections inthe chemical uh responses in the
brain.

(13:45):
And so when I wrote Soul FusionHealing, um I I put all that
stuff in there.
Everything that I've beenstudying for 50 years in
astrology, for over 25 yearsdoing regression therapies back
when us hippies did it back inthe 70s.

(14:05):
So all these things arecombined.
And then, of course, uh, aswe've um come to get into a
ability as a hypnotist to getinto higher consciousness, to
where we lose that sense ofseparateness, that really

(14:26):
magnifies true healing.
So when you think about it, ifyou align with universal
consciousness without theseparate identity, well then
whatever is there is healedbecause all there is is
perfection.
And that's ultimately uh what wetry to do through ultra height,

(14:52):
through quantum healing, and umthrough uh uh a number of
different um hypnotic um uh uhsuggestions and inductions to
get you into a relaxed state.
So the Buddha says if you youare you you are relaxed, that's

(15:19):
who you are.
And so it's not your thinking,it's your relaxation.

SPEAKER_02 (15:27):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (15:29):
That allows you to get a sense of who you truly
are.

SPEAKER_02 (15:34):
Yeah.
I love that.
I love that.
Um you mentioned what when I wasresearching your book and
researching you, um, soulfragmentation kept coming up.
What what is that exactly?
What's the definition of that?

SPEAKER_01 (15:49):
Well we we can fragment out of our our if we
start from our authenticself-realized self, everything
that you go through fromemotion, from psychological,
from spiritual, even from thephysical, detaching from the

(16:11):
physical body in some way.
That's all fragmentation.
You're fragmenting off away fromwho your authenticity and who
you really truly are.
So um it can happen in a numberof different ways.

(16:31):
Um, if you go under anesthesiain surgery, this can cause a
fragmentation.
Uh, if you get into an emotionalum orangutan, emotions cause a
separation.
Um if you get into a uh energyleakage where other people or

(16:56):
situations drain you.
You know, one of the things thatI like to tell people, you know,
you've you've seen people overuh that have passed on, and then
the the loved ones were saying, standing over the casket,
weeping and saying, Don't leaveme, don't leave me.
Well, you know what?
Sometimes they don't.

(17:17):
Wow, yeah.
And they attach energetically toyour auric field, which then has
repercussions in your character.
So there's lots of differentways, behaviors, addictions,
compulsions, self-sabotagingbehavior, um any of these

(17:40):
things.
When you get overtired, um andyou start acting out of out of
your normal patterns of things, your normal rituals, well,
there's a fragmentation there.
So the fragmentations that we'retypically trying to um bring
together are the emotional onesand um and the attachments.

(18:08):
So that you know we are umgetting more into our
authenticity, self-realization.
We're acting more like ourselveswhen we when we have um, you
know, I'm always uh talkingabout beliefs.

(18:30):
You shouldn't have beliefs.
No, there are no beliefs.

SPEAKER_02 (18:35):
Okay, what do you mean by that?

SPEAKER_01 (18:37):
Well, when you have a belief, you're in a structure
within that belief.
And that doesn't leave open thepossibilities of things in life.
When you when you ascend, there's no beliefs on the next

(18:58):
level.
None.
You're in universalconsciousness, universal
awareness.
What is there to believe?
So the more we can live in themoment, the more we can stay in
the now, the more we can operatefrom feelings instead of
thinking, the more we are inalignment.

(19:23):
And that's what we're allstruggling to do through
relationships, through uh ourour feelings about things, but
feelings are true.
Emotions are true.
The problem is we can all havelove, joy, peace, happiness, and

(19:44):
this these are good emotions.
And that's the gift tohumanities to have good emotions
about things.
The the negative emotions, whichcan come up as fear, doubt,
anxiety, depression, all thenegative self-talk that don't
make us feel good at all.

(20:05):
These are all negatives that weneed to come to a balance with.
So we need to change aperspective about them, a
perception that we've hadcarried on from lifetime to
lifetime.
So we have past experienceswhere we come to a certain
perspective or perception aboutsomething, and it's an error.

(20:30):
You're all gods.
Why why are we creating anythingbut that creations that make us
happy and joyful?
How come we can't just live inthe moment and accept everything
that goes on in our life asopportunity?

(20:52):
It's teaching us to become morein alignment.
So that's what I've tried toconvey in the book.
Um, is how to get in alignmentwith yourself on a body, mind,
and soul relationship.
You know, I have a lot of peoplethat come to me sometimes and
say, Well, I I meditate four andfive hours a day, and I'm trying

(21:16):
to be a good person and all ofthat.
I'm trying to be spiritual.
I says, Well, how about quittrying to be spiritual because
you are spiritual?
And how about just being ahuman?

SPEAKER_03 (21:29):
Yeah, yeah, that's funny.

SPEAKER_01 (21:31):
That's where you're getting the opportunity to learn
and grow in this world.
Yeah, that's the opportunity.
So, this is all an opportunityfor us to grow and to become
self realized.
Jesus said, Ye are all gods.
I am uh what I am, you shall be,and even greater things than I

(21:55):
have done, you shall do.
Well, if you're the co creator.
Creator of your life, well, thenyou are responsible for looking
at your life and saying, Well, how did I create this?
Why did I create this?
Is a better question.
Why did I create this conflictin my life?
How do I need this person torespond to me to show me what is

(22:21):
inside of me that I'msuppressing or hiding?
Because that's whatrelationships do.
Yeah, they teach us who we areby reflecting what's going on
inside of us externally, so thatwe can decide.

(22:42):
Yeah, I mean, I see I had skinin the game there.
I I take responsibility forthat.
This is the way I would preferto act, believe, and to relate.
Or I don't have any skin in thegame at all.
I'm neutral.

(23:04):
So what are you what you'reshowing me is your anger, your
frustration, your emotion.
So it's about takingresponsibility uh w for our
intentions.
If we have intention somewhereof not getting along or whatever
the in uh intention is to do,well, we have to take

(23:28):
responsibility for our intentionbecause that's what the universe
is looking at.
What's your intention?
I want to know what's in yourheart.
Yeah, and so does your universalconsciousness.
I don't care about your everydaydrama.
Yeah, I don't care about your, you know, having some driver

(23:49):
pull in front of you.

SPEAKER_02 (23:51):
How do you how do you deal with people that, you
know, if if you're you're moreaware and you and obviously you
done a lot of research, soyou're practicing what you
preach, and there's many peoplein this world that just don't
get it.
How do you deal with how do youinteract with those people?

SPEAKER_01 (24:10):
Oh, well, you deal with not the level they're at.
You don't you don't you don'tyou you don't go there.
I mean, I do I'm I'm uh I uh Ilike to tell the story about you
know I work out with in aerobicswith 15 women three times a
week.
Do you really?

SPEAKER_03 (24:29):
I love it.
I love it.

SPEAKER_01 (24:31):
And I I I pick on all of them.
They all love me.
I'm kind of like a mascot.
Oh, I love that.
And it's the YMCA, so it's avery Christian-oriented
organization.
I don't have a problem withthat.
I I used to read what Jesus saidin the Bible from a little kid,

(24:51):
reading the red in the in thefamily Bible, just page after
page of the New Testament, reading what Jesus said.
And so I know the Bible prettywell.
And uh so when you tell meyou're a Christian, well, then
I'm gonna find out how authenticChristian you are.

(25:13):
And so that's where I come from.
Um I don't try to show people, you know, things that I mean,
you know, I guess I guess thebest verbiage to that is don't
cast before pearls before swine.
Or they may render them untoyou.
So I don't tell everybody I'm anastrologer.

(25:36):
I don't even know that some ofthose women even know I'm a
hypnotist.

SPEAKER_02 (25:40):
Oh, really?
Okay, okay.

SPEAKER_01 (25:42):
They know I love to have fun, they know I like to
tease, they know I love to play.
I love that.
I love that.
And I know I, you know, I givethem jade plants that I grow,
you know, profusely.
I have a I have a wine andcheese party that they can come
and, you know, outside of the uhworkout arena.

(26:04):
So, you know, I'm just a regularperson.
I just worked hard to be in morein alignment with who I am.

SPEAKER_03 (26:15):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (26:16):
And I try to learn from my relationships of what I
would like to change or how Iwould like to respond.
So it's always you're always ina working atmosphere for
yourself, and then you're in acommunication atmosphere when

(26:38):
you're just communicating andtalking to people.
And if there's something you canhelp them with, I do.
And if there's, and if I'm notasked, I don't give it.
Okay.

SPEAKER_03 (26:49):
Okay.

SPEAKER_01 (26:51):
So I mean, I can, you know, I can walk in and just
say, you know, and I used to beearly on in my earlier days, I
used to, you know, say, well, what's your sun sign?
Because you moment you tell meyour sun sign, I get a whole
catalog of who you are, what'sgoing on with you, what energy
is happening.

(27:11):
Okay.
And that's not and that's notfair.
I mean, I I don't want to uhlook, I can't heal people if you
want if you don't want to behealed.
So it has to be an equalexchange of energy.
The greater burden or thegreater sin is to lift the

(27:35):
burden from the one that'ssupposed to carry it.

SPEAKER_02 (27:38):
Oh, wow.
That's deep.
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (27:42):
So you know, it's um uh so that's why I talk about
working with conflict.
What's what's the conflict?
I mean, you know, uh, as ahypnotist, I'm the last person
you come to.
You've already been the doctorsand psychologists and and
soothsayers and everybody beforeyou get to me.

(28:06):
Yeah, and the truth is, is Ishould be the first one.
Really?
Okay.
The subconscious mind is is iswhat you heal.
And you know, you're not goingto heal somebody through taught
therapy.
So there's lots of differenttherapies you can go through.

(28:27):
Uh, my preference is, of course,uh hypnotherapy, but you know,
I've studied emotion code, bodycode, EMT, uh, EMD.
Uh so I have all of them, I haveexperience in all of them, but I
found that hypnosis is the umit's the deepest and easiest

(28:51):
recognized healing.
And when you're healing thesubconscious programming and
conditioning, well then you'rehealing the chemical responses
in the brain.

SPEAKER_02 (29:03):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (29:04):
And so you're healing your life.
I mean, I've worked with peoplethat's had strokes, I've worked
with people that's got hadcancer.
And sometimes it's, you know,it's important to just come to
terms with where you are in anillness.
Come to terms with where you areafter having a stroke.

(29:26):
You see, because everything isopportunity, and everything has
some sort of connection to whatyou're needing to learn in the
present.
The Buddha said, if you want toknow the past, look at the
present.
If you want to know the future, look at the present.

(29:47):
There's only now.

unknown (29:49):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_02 (29:51):
I love this message.
This is where um my journey hasbeen.
You're saying it veryeloquently, but this is the
stuff that I'm trying to learnand I'm trying to take in and
and grow from it.
So I I I love everything thatyou're saying.
Um, what is something from yourbook, just a simple practice for

(30:12):
anybody listening that can theycan do it today, they can start
like right now.

SPEAKER_01 (30:17):
The biggest difference everyone can make is
to realize that your consciousmind doesn't need you.
It's a liar, and it it is tryingto get control over you because
it's fearful.
You see, we're all born with theseed of destruction.

(30:42):
You know what that seed is?
Fear.

SPEAKER_02 (30:45):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (30:48):
And of course, I'm a big David Hawkins, Dr.
David Hawkins fan.
So I tell people, look, you giveme 101 fears, and I'll give you
101 things you've made up inyour mind.
There are no fears.
You make them up.
And so what I try to help peoplewith is when you understand the

(31:12):
ego mind is only out for itself, then what is the truth is your
feelings that is in the middleof your chest, that is in your
gut.
And when you get something inyour head that says something

(31:33):
and it makes you feel bad, orwhatever it says, you run it
down to your gut and you say,How does that feel?
And if it feels good, well thenyour thinking and your feelings
are in alignment.
If it doesn't feel good, thenyou reject the thought, you

(31:54):
reject the thinking.
That's negative self-talk.
So if it, you know, I joke withpeople, I mean, you gotta come,
you gotta, you gotta start doingwhat I grew up with in the 60s
and 70s.
If it with us hippies, if itfeels good, do it.

SPEAKER_00 (32:12):
And if it don't feel good, don't do it.

SPEAKER_02 (32:17):
That is funny.
That's funny, but I do love thatbecause for for me, it's
something that I've been doing.
Like if I get anxious or I'mfeeling something heavy on my
chest, I literally say, like, let it go.
I literally just go like thisbecause it's like I'm trying to
get it out, reject it.
And it sounds so silly, but I'vebeen doing it the past few

(32:37):
months and it's actually works.
It just, I'm like, just take itaway, just get out of here.
Cause um, you know, a lot of mylife has just been based on like
fear and anxiety and and thatthat that talk, man, that
negative loathing, justself-talk has just been
horrendous in my life.

(32:58):
So the past few years, that'swhat I'm trying, I'm trying to
get to exactly what you'retalking about.
Just letting go.
Because obviously things aregoing to come in.
I mean, you can't, you can'treally protect that as it's just
what you do with it, is when I'mrealizing let's think about it
like this.

SPEAKER_01 (33:17):
You're a soul that has come in to experience
specific things for soul growth.
Not human growth, soul growth.
All desire is sent to you byyour soul.

(33:37):
You're not making it up, you'renot creating desires if they're
being given to you.
Okay, and they're being given toyou for a specific reason to
face a specific event, relationship, or experience so
that you can reconcile, you canchange your perspective, your

(34:02):
perception that's been an error.
When you face a fear, when Istarted working on that, I mean,
if I felt the fear, Iimmediately faced it.
Immediately.
Really?
Yes, really, really.
I remember being doing ahypnosis class, and somebody

(34:26):
said, um, something about doing,we're looking for a stage
hypnotist.
And I and I immediately had thisgut feeling of fear and just
anxiety.
And I said, no, no, no.
I said, I'll do it.

SPEAKER_02 (34:44):
Okay.

SPEAKER_01 (34:46):
And I went and took two courses on stage hypnosis,
and I learned from one of thebest in the world, and I went
and did it for a high school, and I hated it, but I did it.

SPEAKER_00 (35:05):
But you did it, so just do it.
I did it.
Yeah.
So I faced my fear, yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (35:13):
Because it's not who I am.
I'm not a, I mean, you know,when you're a stage hypnotist,
you're kind of uh on the uh Imean, you're you you need to
have a little bit of humor andyou need to have some, you know,
a pizzazzzy personality.
And I don't have that.

(35:33):
I'm a very serious kind of guy.
Now, if you give me a projectthat you want to get done, I'm
your man.

SPEAKER_00 (35:42):
Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (35:43):
But if you want me to be all funny and crazy on the
spur of the moment, I'm not yourguy.
I mean, it's not that I can'ttease and I can't be funny, but
it ain't gonna be when thecameras are on.
So I recognize it as me.

SPEAKER_03 (36:01):
That's okay.
And it's okay.

SPEAKER_01 (36:04):
But when I had that feeling of fear and anxiety
inside of me, I said, oh no, no,no, you're not gonna be there.
I'm gonna face that.
And that's how you face one fearat a time.

SPEAKER_02 (36:16):
I love that.
I love it.
Um, starting this podcast wasvery, I was very fearful to
start.
Um, and I started five yearsago.
But I, but you like you said, like that desire, like there's
just something in you that justdoesn't go away.
And I'm like, because I believein God.
So I'm like, Lord, I know youput this on my heart, but I

(36:37):
don't really, I'm like freakingout over here.
And and so I love that you saylike these desires that are
given to you.
Um sometimes I just want to pushthem away.
And how do you how do you knowif a desire is um because
sometimes I feel like sometimesmy desire is maybe selfish
because it's about what I feellike I need to accomplish in

(37:00):
this life, in this world.

SPEAKER_01 (37:02):
Well, yeah, but I mean, if you have a selfish
selfish desire, well then you'vegot to get to the place of why
you think it's selfish.
Okay.
That would be the lesson, wouldn't it?

SPEAKER_02 (37:14):
Yeah, yeah, okay.

SPEAKER_01 (37:15):
You're not a selfish person by nature.
That is not a normal response tolife.
I mean, we're all here to helpeach other.
We're all connected universallyto each, to humans, to animals,
to nature, to the universe.
There's always a connection.

(37:36):
And the thing that I uh I liketo help people understand is
universal consciousness is withyou all the time.
All the time.
You are never disconnected fromyour maker.
Now you may block it through allof your emotions or your

(37:57):
programming or conditioning orwhatever, but you're always
connected.
Yeah, you're always a spiritualbeing, and so you have to decide
that I'm having this desire.
So what I try to do is I say, okay, what is this teaching me?
What is this showing me?
Okay, and that's the way I takeresponsibility for everything

(38:22):
that happens in my life becauseI created it.
And if I created it, well thenwhat is why did I create it?
What's it showing me?
What's it teaching me?
And this goes intorelationships, to experiences.
And so, you know, when your bodytightens up, uh when I call that

(38:45):
the the third brain is calledthe gut brain, because that's
where all your nerve bundlesmeet.
And then those send informationup your vagus nerve in your back
up to your subconscious mind, which is always going every
second.
Am I safe?

(39:06):
Am I safe?
Am I safe?
Am I safe?

SPEAKER_03 (39:11):
I laugh because it's so true.
It's like constantly like,what's what's happening?
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (39:18):
Yes.

SPEAKER_01 (39:19):
And so uh you're you're actually responding to
some sort of fear, and thesubconscious mind is going
through the Rolodex of when youfirst had got that fear, and
it's figuring out how youresponded, and that's the
response that it's going torecreate in the moment.

(39:40):
And so when you have an anxiety, let's say, well, that anxiety
came from a past event that youexperienced that could have been
hurtful.
And now every time thatpossibility of that event comes
up in the moment, well, yoursubconscious is going to respond

(40:04):
like it responded to thathurtful event back there and
protects you againstexperiencing that again.
Because this mind can walk intowork late and go, Oh my God, I'm
late.

SPEAKER_00 (40:20):
And then this mind, this ego mind, goes, Well, you
could lose your job, you couldget fired, how you gonna put
food on the table, how you gonnafeed your family, how are you
gonna pay your mortgage?

SPEAKER_01 (40:32):
Yeah, even though you know that's not gonna
happen, it still runs throughyour mind, and that affects your
feelings and emotions as anegative.
David Hawkins talks about, andhe's a supreme uh kinesthetic
guy of measuring musclestrength, muscle testing.

(40:55):
When you have a negativethought, just a negative
thought, you lose 50% of yourmuscle strength.

SPEAKER_02 (41:05):
Wow.
50%.

unknown (41:09):
Wow.

SPEAKER_01 (41:11):
And you can test it using kinesthetics, raising an
arm and having somebody, I mean, you can do it, anybody can do
it.
Have somebody raise an arm, think of a positive, feel how
strong the arm is stretched out,and then think of a negative,

(41:32):
and it'll immediately go weakeror limp, depending on the
negative look or the negative umimage in your mind.
And so that's how we canevaluate everything in our life.

SPEAKER_02 (41:53):
Is it more common for people to first notice like
an imbalance in their mind, their body, or their soul?

SPEAKER_01 (41:59):
The body responds to your conscious mind.
So everything is coming out ofyour conscious mind, your
conditioning and yourprogramming, and it's responding
in the body.
And so you want to go to thesubconscious mind to correct how

(42:21):
the chemicals and how the bodyis responding to that, and at
the same time, what is thebelief that caused the problem?
Because every problem has abelief.
I like to walk up to peoplesometimes when they when they're
kind of rubbing their shoulderand say, Well, what's wrong with

(42:45):
your shoulder?
Oh, it's it's achy or hurts orwhatever.
Well, what's the belief that youhave that's holding on to it?
And so to change your life, youhave to change the beliefs.

SPEAKER_02 (43:00):
That's really hard.
This is why I say Marvin, that'sreally hard to change beliefs
that are so ingrained in likeyour whole psyche, that's so
hard.
Oh man.

SPEAKER_01 (43:10):
Well, and that's why I say it takes time.

SPEAKER_02 (43:12):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (43:13):
I mean, you gotta this isn't something you just
get rid of all beliefs in oneday.
That's true.
I mean, you gotta you gotta workon your beliefs and find out
well, why do I why am I findingsecurity in this belief?
What makes you think you needsecurity?
What makes you think you aren'tsecure?
Wow you see, yeah.

(43:34):
And so you you you you you tryto understand.
I have a thing on the back of mycomputer where everybody sits
across from me, but they have toread it.
Before you'll change, somethingmust be at risk.

SPEAKER_02 (43:53):
Yeah, say that again.
Say that again.
That's deep.

SPEAKER_01 (43:56):
Before you'll change, something must be.
at risk.
So you see theinterconnectedness to all of
this.
And it's and it's, I mean, youknow, I'm an old geezer, so I've
lived a lifetime of working onthis.
But you know, when you're uhwhen you're a young person or a

(44:16):
middle-aged person, you got alot of years to keep growing and
amassing knowledge and truthsand becoming more self-realized,
becoming more livingauthentically in balance.
I like to you know we used totalk about in the early days

(44:38):
about getting in the center, center yourself.
You know, and I had to learn howto do that when I'd have a
driver pull in front of me orsomething or do something.
I mean I'd get all kind of rangyand I go, sinny yourself,
Marvin, sinny yourself.
You know you've done the samething in the past.
Forgive the person and move on.

SPEAKER_03 (45:01):
Oh so many pep talks we have to give ourselves.

SPEAKER_00 (45:05):
You know and so this doesn't happen the first time it
might take a couple months.

SPEAKER_01 (45:10):
It might take a couple years to learn how to
stay calm and stay peaceful whenthings are presented to you
experiences.

SPEAKER_02 (45:20):
What other messages from your book that you would
want people to to take away fromtoday that we haven't touched
on?

SPEAKER_01 (45:28):
I like the three mind concept.
I think that's kind of whatwe've been talking about.
But once you separate the egomind, the subconscious mind and
the unconscious mind unconsciousis where you're getting from
your family your heritage yourepigenetics the subconscious is
the file cabinet of everythingthat's ever occurred in your

(45:52):
soul's existence and your egomind is what you use to be able
to to traverse this planet tosee hear taste smell and touch.
Your instincts your intuitionyour intuitive abilities are
what really guides you and leadsyou into following a truth.

(46:17):
And so it's it's very importantto trust your intuition and a
lot of times I teach people Iknow they're intuitive I as a
matter of fact I know people arejust full blown psychic and I
and I might say that and they gowell I'm not psychic I said
you're so psychic it ain't evenfunny.

SPEAKER_02 (46:38):
Really so they don't know that about themselves but
you see it in them?

SPEAKER_01 (46:41):
Oh yeah.
And so you got and so what Itell them I said do this for me.
When you have a question don'tjust keep it in your mind and
think of the question in yourmind.
Ask out loud because you gotangels guides and teachers that
all hear it and they will giveyou answers to questions or

(47:05):
whatever you want to know.
Whatever you want to know isavailable to you anytime you
want to know it.
And so you I I try to get peopleto say out loud especially
spiritual people.
Don't be thinking it in yourhead say it.
I want your ears to hear it andnow you can fix it.

(47:29):
I love it because you want toget the answer.
Yeah I mean and it can be assimple as I'll I'll misplace a
tool and say where in the heckdid I put that and I'll look
right at it and I'll oh thankyou spirit something as simple
as that I love it.

SPEAKER_00 (47:45):
Just as simple as that yeah I mean we have so much
guidance and so much help and werefuse to use it.

SPEAKER_02 (47:54):
That's a great message.
It really is that's a greatgreat message.
One of the things that I've beenasking for because I believe in
that um if you ask for wisdom orask for clarity that it is given
to you.
So one of my prayers that I'vebeen praying the past few years
is Lord give me wisdom.
Just give me wisdom give meclarity give me knowledge and

(48:16):
open my eyes and so those arethe things that I'm always
asking for.
And you know like you said ittakes it takes a long time to
get there.
So I feel like I'm I'm I'm inthat in that on that journey on
that healing journey of justasking for what I want asking
for clarity.
Because a lot of the way I movethrough this world is when you
were talking about stability andfear, like those two things ring

(48:41):
so true to me.
And like feeling um like my Ifeel like my childhood was a lot
of just a lot of moving notfeeling uh stable not feeling
centered not feeling a part ofsomething because we moved
constantly I was always the newgirl it's it's like so ingrained
in you it's it's it's crazy.

(49:01):
So I love everything you'resaying I'm gonna soak it all in
and um and use it.
I'm gonna use this yeah becauseI'm already there so you're just
giving you adding more to ityou're adding more to to things
that I'm already aware of.
So I appreciate you.

SPEAKER_01 (49:16):
Well I appreciate you having me and I appreciate
the work you're doing onyourself.

SPEAKER_02 (49:21):
Oh thank you thank you it's it's it's a journey but
man I I feel like once you justget tired of feeling a certain
kind of way and and movingthrough life and just uh yeah
like that heaviness I just gottired and and it's like I I have
to do something different.

(49:41):
I have to show up differently Ihave to communicate differently
I have to yeah show up inrelationships differently it's
yeah so it's it's been a journeybut it's exhausting Marvin it's
exhausting well just remember ajourney of a thousand miles
