In this episode of Vivid Talks, I am joined by Syed Rizvi, an educator and the Founder of Rev Med, a company that provides online medical education for healthcare students. Syed has an amazing group of artists, professors, and content marketers, who together as a team, help create notable content to learn from! They have also released a much-lauded book on COVID, called “COVID-19:The Reason Why The Earth Stood Still in 2020”.
It was when Syed was in an anatomy class, and he found that all the students were struggling with what the professor was teaching that he thought to himself, “Maybe I can teach this better.” Wanting to bring some positive change, Syed started taking the same lessons in his unique way to 4 different students in his class, and they absolutely loved it! The audience has incredibly increased since then. From 5, 6, 8, and10 students to the whole class and then his professors even, people were amazed at his ability to take classes so well!
One girl at the back of the class recorded the videos and asked him if she could put them on YouTube. The audience this gathered was so massive that he became a mini viral YouTube sensation!
Syed has today talked about criticism, about YouTube as a University, and his inspiration in life. He says, “I get the inspiration from legends; they teach in a way that’s organic, I recreate what they do.” He wants to entertain people while also giving them quick little pockets of information, and while they scroll to view houses, beauty, wellness, health, and all that stuff, he adds in a little bit of education to the process!
