In episode 24, Jerry and I dive into the deep waters of the classic war drama "Das Boot" or "The Boat". It was released in the US February 10 1981 and starred Jurgen Prochnow as a veteran German U Boat Captain and Herbert Gronemeyer as a visiting Naval War Correspondent trying to document the true heroic tale of the U Boat crew, but quickly gets more of a story then he planned. It was also directed by Wolfgang Peterson and was based on the novel written by Lother Buchheim.
