SPEAKER_02 (00:04):
Good evening, ladies and gentlemen.
Welcome back to another episodeof the WBM podcast.
This is one of your hosts.
It's your boy Merc.
It's your boy XFAN.

SPEAKER_04 (00:13):
And it's your boy Oski in the middle.

SPEAKER_02 (00:16):
Guys, we got a fun one for you today.
A quick little burger.
That's right.
We're gonna go ahead and talksome Predator Badlands that just
dropped.
Some chainsaw.
And then we're also gonna talksome One Piece, right?

SPEAKER_04 (00:27):
They got so many like little announcements
lately.

SPEAKER_02 (00:29):
Bro, so much is happening in the world of One
Piece right now, and I love it.
I'm so excited.
I hope you guys are too.
It's been a little bit since wegot a chance to nerd out on it.

SPEAKER_04 (00:36):
Yeah, but this is gonna be a quick and dirty, just
quick and dirty way.

SPEAKER_03 (01:19):
I am the devil.
You know what I mean?
That is hilarious.

SPEAKER_04 (01:29):
I mean, some of those heavy metal bands or death
metal go hard, don't you?
Yeah, bro.
And the way they do it, they cando it on a nightly basis.

SPEAKER_02 (01:36):
Like your mom is crazy.

SPEAKER_00 (01:37):
Every nightly ever so rightly.

SPEAKER_04 (01:39):
You know who also could do it on a nightly basis?
Bingling?
Alright, so Badlands, right?
Yeah, who's I thought that was asetup.
I think it was too.
Oh, that was great.
Well, before we get intoBadlands, okay, here's my hot
take.
Hot take, hot take.
If you follow the show, you knowI'm a big nerd nerd about
basically every franchise outthere.
This is true.

(02:00):
But Predator is one of thefranchises that I'm not too
excited about.
I've never been a big fan ofPredator.
To me, it just never like a goodcomparison is against the alien
franchise.
Yeah.
To me, it just doesn't meetthose heights of alien
franchise.
You know, those those 80s, themovies from the 90s, I'm sorry,

(02:20):
it just never met those heights.

SPEAKER_02 (02:22):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_04 (02:22):
That's not an outrageous statement.
So that's my hot take.
Now the latest movies I feellike have come up.
But then you had those earlyarts movies that just didn't
know where to take thefranchise.

SPEAKER_02 (02:32):
Well, was it Alien vs.
Predator?
Didn't know what to do with thefranchise, in my opinion.

SPEAKER_04 (02:36):
The Predators were a they put a bunch of like
commandos in uh in an alienplanet.
Do you remember that one withAdrian Bordy?
There's like five of them orsomething like that.
And then The Predator, wherelike it was kind of a comment.
No, I actually really like thePredator because they had like
humor in there.
You know?
But at the end of the fuckingmovie, they have a mechanical
predator suit for no reason.
I don't know if you guysremember that.
No, I don't remember that.

SPEAKER_02 (02:56):
That's interesting.
A mecha suit?

SPEAKER_04 (02:57):
Yeah.
They have like a the predator, the plot of the well, you want
to go through the history of thefranchise?
If you know it, yeah.
Yeah, let's fucking nerd out.
Okay, I you know when I hate, Igotta hate something.
Absolutely.
You're like, I'm gonna hang withresearch.
I'm gonna hang with research.
Okay, so I went back andrewatched the first one, right?
Arnold Schwaxneger.
Now, here's the thing.
Me watching that as a kid.

SPEAKER_00 (03:17):
Oh I just want to say that one of my favorite
things about The Predator, whichis because you're you're hitting
that butt that movie, it's justthe gadgets.
I just want to nerd out realquick on the gadgets, because I
always love that.
Just before you move on, Ialways thought that was cool
with like the his hiscomponents, his grenades, his
little like slasher, and ofcourse the little gun thing.

(03:39):
I always thought that was likegenius, because like mechanical
genius, but I at the end of theday, I always thought it was
cheating, because I was like, bro, that's not hunting, puss.
You know, grab a knife or barehanded, right?
But being lazy, but being cloak, like one thing as to like like
Arnold, like with the mud, that's cool.
Right.
But like to do that technology, that's kind of like alien kind

(03:59):
of like it's cheating, bro.
Yeah, right?
It's cheating.
Okay, sorry, okay, on pause.
I just thought it was coolthough, because even the scenes
that she like I just found thatcool, like the alien's gadgets,
I always found that fascinating.
And I I wish they showed more.
Alright, that's enough.

SPEAKER_04 (04:13):
No, no, no, that's a good point.
Because you know, that one whenthe first movie came out.

SPEAKER_00 (04:16):
80 something.

SPEAKER_04 (04:17):
80 something.
Bro, in the beginning of themovie, they showed a ship like
coming to Earth.

SPEAKER_00 (04:22):
Yeah, from Spain.

SPEAKER_04 (04:23):
Oh, I forgot.
Yeah.
I was like, holy shit, this ispretty good for an 80-something
movie.
And he's right.
At one point, the brothers heardand he pulls out a first aid kit
alien first aid med kit.
He pictures himself.
I was like, oh, that's dope.
Yeah.
But one of the things, one ofthe reasons I hit it as a kid
was that this guy hadinvisibility and a fucking hit
ticker gun.

(04:43):
Thermal building was crazy, bro.
He's not hurting shit.
Arnold he took out the wholeteam, everybody died, but Arnold
took him 1v1 and won.
With the tree.
With a fucking alien.
And you know what's worse?

SPEAKER_00 (04:58):
When that fucking alien died, that predator died,
instead of saying, Oh, you gotme, you know what he did?
You muck them.

SPEAKER_04 (05:10):
I was like, what the f so I did not like the first
movie just because I was likepredator hater.

SPEAKER_00 (05:16):
Like, like, I hate the predator because of those
logics.
Like, you depend on all thisadvanced technology, where
honestly the human will beatyour ass.
Like, get Mike Tyson.
Run the ones with Mike Tyson.
See what you know, do that, butno technology.

SPEAKER_02 (05:33):
Aliens, bro, they're not monsters, Joe.

SPEAKER_00 (05:35):
I'm a hater towards the predator, as in like human
pride.

SPEAKER_04 (05:40):
Same, same, brother.
And here's the thing, bro.
I did rewatch it and I enjoyedit more as a as a as a as an
older.
Like, I get it now.
Like, I see how it's become somuch part of the culture.
And not only that, that moviewas such a manly like movie, you
know?

SPEAKER_03 (05:55):
Oh, everybody was fucking jamming, bro.
You son of a bitch.
I forgot what the guy's namewas.
Just Carl Weathers.
Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (06:05):
Just Ventura had the fucking gallery slicing treason
highlight, brother.

SPEAKER_02 (06:11):
Everybody was just I remember that one guy who had a
whole scene.
He like fucking, I don't evenknow, he liked slashed somewhere
on his body.
He fucking did the hellheadband.
Immediately, as soon as he goes, cuts up a guy.

SPEAKER_04 (06:23):
Bro.
I thought they were gonna atleast because I didn't, I hadn't
seen the movie in so long.
He fucking prepared.
You know, if the one that's beenwith nature the whole movie,
yeah, dice off scream.

SPEAKER_03 (06:37):
With a horrendous scream, bro.
They were hyping him up thewhole time.
The silent one, the dangerousone.
You guys go.
I got this.

SPEAKER_04 (06:49):
I'll cover you.
Then that one other one, Iforgot who he is, but that black
guy that was all bold, and hekept like shaving his face the
whole time.
They also hyped him up becausehe was like crawling, he's like,
I'm gonna sneak up on thispredator.
And then the predator just comesup on on top of him.

SPEAKER_03 (07:06):
And just like cheating.
Yeah, you can't think her.

SPEAKER_04 (07:11):
That guy was funny, he kept shaving his face.

SPEAKER_02 (07:14):
So that was that was the uh the first predator.

SPEAKER_00 (07:16):
And at the end of the movie, they all like have
like a memorial pose in the Ohyeah.

SPEAKER_04 (07:22):
With the muscles and the guns, yeah, bro, sweaty as
fuck, shirtless for no.

SPEAKER_02 (07:34):
It was like G.I.
Joe versus a monster, it was, bro.
But that was like a thrillerstyle last movie, bro.

SPEAKER_04 (07:39):
Yeah, but here's my take.
I always I always considerPredator more of an action
movie.
I never thought it was scary atall.
Nah.
Nah, the Predator alien himself,I mean, I guess it's pretty like
Rose and taking off the mask.

SPEAKER_00 (07:53):
What's the name of the corporation?

SPEAKER_04 (07:57):
Weyland Utani.
There you go.
Weyland Utani.

SPEAKER_00 (07:59):
So Whalen Yutani plays a very important role in
that in the Badlands movie.
And I without give you anyspoilers, Tico.
One of the things is like thespoilers.
Okay, it's pretty much like amirror like the original one.

SPEAKER_04 (08:10):
Spoiler alert for everybody.
Oh, I don't know.
I want to do the spoiler free orspoiler.
No, spoil the shit out of it.
Spoiler alert.

SPEAKER_00 (08:15):
So it's kind of like a mirror of the original one,
right?
Because the original one takesin the jungle, so does this one,
right?
Yeah.
And then in like this one, isinstead of being an experienced
hunter, it's everything we talkshit about, but finally the
juggler having like a okay.
If you think, well, actually, even the sword is cheating.
Okay, okay.

SPEAKER_02 (08:34):
But he does but he gets nerfed immediately, though.
He gets nerfed.
Because he's the runt.
He's not a badass.
That's the whole thing in thismovie, is that like there are
other badass versions ofpredators.

SPEAKER_04 (08:42):
I saw an extended preview, yeah, that like his dad
like puts him out because he's arunt or something.

SPEAKER_02 (08:48):
Yeah, exactly.
And he sends his brother, he'slike, we gotta call the week in
our family.
He sends his brother to killhim?
Yeah, and the brother's like, well, I'm not down for that.
It's my brother, right?
Interesting.
And that's when the brother endsup sacrificing himself.
He ends up fighting the dad inorder to save the brother.
Oh shit.
Okay.
And like you're spoiler.

SPEAKER_00 (09:08):
Inspiring the brother, you know, to like fuck
this.
Yeah, I'm a brother.

SPEAKER_03 (09:12):
Bring back the trophy.

SPEAKER_04 (09:14):
I like I do like that in this movie we're seeing
it from the predator'sperspective.
Yeah, and that we're getting waymore of uh ja ja culture.

SPEAKER_00 (09:21):
Well, in that movie.
I don't know if I'm pronouncingthat right, but wait the
Wayland, the Wayland foundWayland, what is it called?

SPEAKER_04 (09:27):
Utani.
Or you could just say Weyland.

SPEAKER_00 (09:29):
So what's the timeline here?
Because Weyland here are in parin pretty much in technology
with the predators.
So this is way after the 80s.

SPEAKER_04 (09:41):
Yeah, I'm thinking this is like already like in
alien timeline, where it's like24, 21, 22, 100.

SPEAKER_02 (09:46):
Yaocha, that's what they're called.
Sorry, Yaucha.

SPEAKER_04 (09:48):
Yaucha.
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (09:50):
Hunting with the Yaucha.

SPEAKER_04 (09:51):
That's the thing about the old predator movies.
Like in the second movie, weskipped to the 90s, but we're
still in the 90s.
So the predator's fightingDonald Glover, right?
Yep.
But he's fighting Donald Glover, and old Donald Glover has his uh
fucking uh revolver.
That's it, bro.
That was crazy.
And he takes him in the concretejungle this time.
Yeah, that's right.

(10:12):
I haven't watched the second onein forever, man.
It's been forever.
Is that what I remember?

SPEAKER_00 (10:16):
That one at the end of the at the end one, Donald
Glover gets kidnapped by like 20aliens and they take him off
predators, yeah.

SPEAKER_04 (10:23):
Oh, they can't take him off of the ship and they
give him that trophy, which isthat pistol for the parents from
17th to one of the NativeAmericans.
Oh no, it's actually from apirate that was uh that he
appears in Prey.
Oh, that's cool.
That's how they connected allthose movies.
The climb.
After Predator 2, then we havePredators, which is completely

(10:45):
disconnected, where they takeall the commandos to an alien
planet and you knowfree-for-all.
And then we had the Predator, which is again completely kind
of disconnected.
They want to take the franchiseon a more action vibe.
It is.
And then we have Prey.
Prey went back in time.
Yeah, Prey was like NativeAmerican aspect.

SPEAKER_02 (11:02):
That was supposed to be a movie, but then it went
straight to Hulu, right?
It was supposed to get atheatrical movie.

SPEAKER_04 (11:06):
It came out during the pandemic.
Yeah.
Had the pandemic not happened,Prey was gonna go to theater.

SPEAKER_02 (11:11):
Yes, that's right.
Because we we saw the trailerfor it during Comic Palooza.
Remember, we're like, oh,extended trailer, this shit
looks crazy because it fightsthe grizzly, remember?
Yeah.
When it goes toe-to-toe with thegrizzly, you're like, oh shit,
it broke its back.
That was sick.
Yeah.
You know?

SPEAKER_04 (11:23):
And speaking of the predator being like, there's
y'all remember, obviously inPrey is the is the girl that
beats the predator.
Yeah.
But there's that one dude thattakes him on 1v1.
Yeah.
And fights him.
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (11:35):
Not in their nature.
Alright, alright.

SPEAKER_02 (11:38):
But Prey was really good, but it was also short.
It was only like 90 minutes.
Not even 90 minutes.
Yeah.
It was like 75 minutes.

SPEAKER_04 (11:44):
I mean, they gotta be short movies because there's
not much to it.

SPEAKER_02 (11:46):
Yeah, there's it's it's a big badass fight.

SPEAKER_04 (11:49):
Inspred are hunting down a group of like.

SPEAKER_00 (11:50):
I wonder if that's why they hunt us.
Because they know, like, ohfuck, these humans are so
dangerous.
I'm gonna go ahead and goinvisible.

SPEAKER_04 (11:56):
If I didn't have my gear, is that why we're worried
about the hunt?
Yeah, it's interesting becausethe whole culture is like they
send the predators to likethat's this is your proving
grounds.
This is you testing yourself.
Because over time they kind oflike adapted the retro feed
retro back in the canon.
They send predators to Earth.
The predators that they sent toEarth are actually young links.

(12:17):
Trying to get their fuckingbearings, trying to get trying
to get their trophies orwhatever.

SPEAKER_02 (12:20):
That's what it is, they're trophies.
Remember, that's what they'retalking about.
Yeah, and badass too.

SPEAKER_04 (12:23):
So the the ones that they send to Earth are are small
ones.
Because as the movies go on,then the predators, you know, we
start seeing all these predatorsfucking huge.

SPEAKER_02 (12:32):
They get to select their prey in the very
beginning.
Remember, that's what rememberthe brother, the older brother
is showing the younger brother, like on the certain planets have
certain creatures or whatever, and he goes to point to one
specific badass one thatnobody's been able to kill.
And that's when he's like, Iwant that one.
And he's like, nah, bro, you'renot.
Is it the one that mostrecently?
Which is Badlands, yeah, whichis the plan that Badlands.
Yeah.
So that's how it plugs into thatof like, oh, well, the

(12:52):
younglings go there, they'relike, well, no matter what, the
only way you're gonna be a partof the clan is you have to claim
your trophy.
So you come back basically withthe skull of whatever you've
killed.

SPEAKER_00 (12:59):
Big ass fucking monster looking thing.

SPEAKER_02 (13:00):
But for them, they're like, if you kill a
human, it also counts.
So I could see that that's whythe younglings will go and get
to Earth.

SPEAKER_00 (13:05):
And they're like, I wonder like they thought they
oh, these motherfuckers aretough, bro.

SPEAKER_02 (13:09):
Don't understand.

SPEAKER_00 (13:11):
You let small part, he won't hit you.

SPEAKER_04 (13:12):
He running wrong.
But a little Dicky video, Earthgo hard.

SPEAKER_03 (13:16):
That'd be it, bro, right there.

SPEAKER_04 (13:18):
But then after Prey, the same director also came out
with the animated movie, KillerKillers.

SPEAKER_02 (13:23):
I didn't get a chance to watch that, but I
heard it was fucking dope, man.
For an animated movie, it'sreally good.
They have like samurais and shitlike that that they go against,
whichever was.

SPEAKER_00 (13:33):
Which again show you that they've been hunting, well,
fighting against us for like inVikings era, yeah, that's cool
as shit.

SPEAKER_04 (13:40):
And they connect uh and then at the end of Killer
Killers, we see uh Homegrow fromPrey, we see Arnold, we see
Donald Glover, all in likefreesting capsule.

SPEAKER_02 (13:49):
Whoa.
Yeah that's cool.
So like these are our champions, basically.

SPEAKER_04 (13:54):
Pretty much, but they've been captured, like they
say Yeah, they say that that'seventually gonna connect to some
kind of storyline, like wherethey put all the champions, like
all the best of the best thathave killed predators.

SPEAKER_03 (14:04):
That's epic, bro!

SPEAKER_00 (14:05):
Did they make a movie like that with Adrian
Brony?
Remember it was Adrian Brony, itwas Danny Trejo.

SPEAKER_04 (14:11):
Yeah, that's the one I've been bringing up.
The one with Adrian Brony, wherethey put them all in the alien
planet.
Oh, okay.
I didn't even think about that.

SPEAKER_02 (14:19):
You think about something else?
Yeah, I was.
I wasn't my bad.
Is that predators?
Is that what the one you weretalking about?
Where's it the favorite?

SPEAKER_04 (14:25):
With the plural.

SPEAKER_02 (14:26):
Okay.

SPEAKER_04 (14:26):
That one's pretty good too.
It wasn't that bad.
On that one, it's like supposedto be the best of the best of
like Earth's like tacticalteams.

SPEAKER_00 (14:33):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_04 (14:34):
But they haven't killed predators.
So these are actual killers ofpredators.
Yeah.
Killer of killers.
Yeah.
That's dope.
Down the line.
Well, I don't know, becauseit'll be hard, because obviously
you're not gonna, who's gonnaplay Arnold again?
No, you have to see G3D, bro.
Yeah.
So if it's animated, yeah.
But they put the predatorkillers in in like a gauntlet or
something, and they sendpredators in.

(14:54):
Connected, bro.
And these are people, these arepeople that have already taken
predators, so it's like, youknow, it's not outrageous, yeah.
For them scared of predators.

SPEAKER_02 (15:01):
Look, what be crazy?
Look, the predators give themtheir weapons.
They're like, hey, you guys arepretty dope.
Here's our shit.

SPEAKER_00 (15:07):
Wait, it can work out.
It can work out.
I can see how.
Because like this is part of it.
In the bringing the circlingback of why the name of the
alien companies cause Wayland,Wayland Corporation Oh shit.

SPEAKER_03 (15:19):
Okay.
Here we go.
Here we go.
Here we go.
Spoilers.
Okay.
So they want to capture theoriesfor the next one.

SPEAKER_00 (15:24):
They want to capture a monster, just new Bad movie.
And the reason when they capturethis monster is because it has
very fast regenerative features,right?
Crazy bad.
And so that I win it tohumanity.

SPEAKER_04 (15:34):
Is it the same monster that Homeboys hunted?

SPEAKER_00 (15:36):
Yes, which is that one, which is the call the
impossible monster to kill,right?
That's what they're reallytrying to hunt it.
So Wayland wanted to capturethis animal.
Now here's where this is whatI'm gonna connect it, right?
These regenerative features maybe applied to like the Arnold
character or the uh DonaldGlover character.
For if they do live actionkiller of killers, that's for

(15:58):
that's my theory.
And then Wayland technology willbe the one because they show you
how they're like they put likelike little putting like organic
things back together.
Yeah, that's how I figuredthey'll do it.

SPEAKER_04 (16:09):
I love how they like running the the Weyland uh
homegirl.
Oh, she's a sim?
Yeah, she's synth?
A synth?
Yeah.
A synth.
Yeah.
I love how they run it as synth, and I haven't seen the movie,
but it perfectly fits in theuniverse.
Yeah.

unknown (16:21):
Right.

SPEAKER_04 (16:21):
Because of Alien and stuff like that.
I like that.
I like that.
Like it doesn't melt it soquickly.
Does it even explain it at all?
Or is it like just trust theaudience, hey, this is a synth.
We're in the same universe asalien.

SPEAKER_02 (16:31):
At this point, yeah, that's it.
That was all they gave you.
They're like, I'm a synth, allmy whole group here is synth.
We work for the Wayland, whatever, Utani Company or
whatever.
And even if you didn't butthere's nothing on Expo Dump.

SPEAKER_00 (16:41):
But even if they didn't, it was like the the the
structure of the of the uh oflike of the humans, like the
purpose of the humans, even ifyou didn't know who they were,
you know, that's a corporationwill organize with the secret of
agenda, with the secretiveagenda.
Like even if you did it, like itwas well written where you
didn't even have to know it.

(17:02):
Yeah, it was well written.
It was good.

SPEAKER_04 (17:04):
It was good.
Yeah, bro.
Watching it, I heard that uhwhat's her name?
Something fanning.
She gives like a really goodperformance.
She's phenomenal.
The robot chick, the synth, she's she's funny.

SPEAKER_02 (17:14):
Yeah, she did a great job.
She was really, really good.

SPEAKER_00 (17:16):
L fanning?
I forgot.

SPEAKER_02 (17:17):
I don't know.
No, Thea.
Thea is the character's name.
Yeah, Thea's.
But yeah, Thea's character, shewas very, very funny.
She was like very witty on topof it the entire time.
She added to the entire and shewas thick, her lower half was
thick.
It's crazy.
Way Lane Corporation.
Shout outs.
Come on, guys.
Come on.

SPEAKER_00 (17:34):
They took their time.

SPEAKER_02 (17:36):
And you know, it was actually features.
I saw the behind-the-scenesfeature or image.
So she has her stunt double forthe upper half, and then she
actually has somebody who doesthe lower half.
It's a totally different person.
It's not even her.

SPEAKER_04 (17:45):
So that ass belongs to somebody else.
You guys are dumb.
Just saying.
But I was uh I know shecommunicates from what I think
on the trailer, she communicateswith the predator, right?
Yes.
Uh does the predator speakEnglish?
No, he still speaks hislanguage.
Portuguese.
How do they understand eachother?

SPEAKER_02 (18:00):
Uh universal translator is what she has.
He speaks his language.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Universal translator, that'strue.
That's what she says.
That's what she says.
Chacha?
Yeah, she says, You hear Cha.
Jar Jar.

SPEAKER_00 (18:09):
Yeah, pretty much a Jar Jar.
Like with that concept, there'slike, oh Jar Jar.
You know, a Jar uh Jar J was histask.
I was gonna think Chewbacca, same shit.
No, no, Jar Jar's job as in thein Star Wars was a universal
translator.
Is that really what he did?
He knew all the languages.
What?
Yeah, so he'll be like, oh,they're they're telling I tell
you this, you know?
Yeah, Jar Jar makes sense whyJanet translated for everybody.

(18:29):
It makes sense why he was at thecouncil shit then now, you know.
Okay, bro.
I totally fucked this up.
C3PO.
I'm so sorry, C3PO! Oh likethere.

SPEAKER_02 (18:54):
C3PO was at.
Yeah, no, but she C3PO.

SPEAKER_00 (18:59):
C3PO, C3PO.

SPEAKER_02 (19:00):
Yeah, it does, actually.
Anyway, but that's what shedoes.
She was funny, man, the entiretime.
I liked her.
My dog was in the movie.
My dog Venom was in the movie.
It was hilarious.
It's uh it was funny becauselike there's uh like a little
alien, bro, and it looks reallyugly, but it's adorably cute at
the same time.
Like my dog.
Yeah, it looks like a pug, bro.
And he spits on the predator atone point, and he's like, What

(19:21):
the fuck?
And the girl's like He spits atlike your mom's Right.
Your mom does it on me.
She hucked two on that thing, and she's like, You're a part of
the clan now, right?
Later on, he's about to getkilled by the callus because he
did everything he could.
He fucking cut his head off, bro.
Spoilers.
Cut his head off, it grows backbecause he's like, It's that
fucking dope.
And it immediately pins thatdown.
He's about to kill him, but hesmells the spit.

(19:42):
And unbeknownst to him, it wasthe child of the actual callus.
Oh yeah, so that's how theyconnected in later on in there.

SPEAKER_00 (19:48):
So essentially, if you're gonna be a big thing.

SPEAKER_04 (19:49):
So he turns around and kills his still.

SPEAKER_00 (19:52):
Well, more like Wham, Wham, singling, and the
sad.
It's Guardians of the Galaxy.
It's family.
He taints.
Guardians of the Galaxy, yeah.

SPEAKER_04 (20:02):
Nigga's gonna pull up on his dad with a callus.

SPEAKER_00 (20:04):
Well, okay.

SPEAKER_03 (20:09):
That's pretty much the family.

SPEAKER_01 (20:12):
No, he's like, man, you can join our clan now.
He's like, I have my own clannow.

SPEAKER_03 (20:18):
I'm gonna do it.

SPEAKER_01 (20:21):
I have family.

SPEAKER_03 (20:25):
Okay, then you gotta get some.

SPEAKER_00 (20:30):
Well, he had to dress just like everybody.

SPEAKER_03 (20:32):
Everybody, bro.
I'm telling you.

SPEAKER_00 (20:33):
He had a ride and everything.
He had it, bro.
He had the dog, the blonde girl, bro.
He had the ride.

SPEAKER_02 (20:40):
That was it, bro.

SPEAKER_00 (20:40):
And he got the keys to the car, bro.
He got the dude.

SPEAKER_02 (20:43):
And he got all right.
We're gonna fit.
Let's get there.
We're gonna get there.

SPEAKER_00 (20:46):
Okay, you guys get the little.
That's how I ended, actually.

SPEAKER_02 (20:51):
So he ends up growing a heart, right?
Because uh the the synth ends uptelling him she's like uh there
are alphas, blah, blah, blah, whatever, whatever.
And he's like, Yeah, alpha, I'msure gets the most kills.
She's like, nah, he's actuallythe one that takes care of the
group the most, right?
And he's like, I'm gonna doboth.
Watch me, I'm gonna do my ownthing, right?
So uh he ends up uh leaving thelittle animal behind.

(21:11):
He dips out on the girl and thenrealizes like ah I fucked up.
These people were actually hereto fucking help me.
Oh, actually, the girl fucks himover.
The robot, he was like, becauseshe was like, you can use me,
you know, I'm very useful foryou in this area.
And he's like, Oh, like a tool.
He's like, Bet, no worries, youknow, bitch, I'll use you like a
tool, it's not a big deal.
And then he finally gets her tothe base and she starts fixing
herself from her legs and stuff.
She's like, she hits the alarm.
She's like, You gotta get out ofhere, my people are on the way.

SPEAKER_04 (21:33):
Well, she still works for Wayland.

SPEAKER_02 (21:35):
At the end of the day, he's like, nah.
She's still got her own up here.
You don't use me, tool.
I use you.

SPEAKER_03 (21:40):
What are you talking about, bro?
He loses.

SPEAKER_02 (21:41):
I am cop to and then he causes a big ass explosion,
he gets the the callus to comeover, he has a gangsta ass fight
with it.
I thought it was like a like aboss game, like a like a boss
match.
Immediately came up, bro.
Immediately came up.
Boss music played.

SPEAKER_00 (21:55):
You know how like in a boss fight, you gotta hit
objectives that the objectivesdamage the boss.
It was that kind of boss fight, and I was like, damn, this is
like a video game.
Like it's been a badass videogame.

SPEAKER_02 (22:04):
It was cool, dog.
It was cool.
So they end up kidnapping it.
They kidnap said creature, theykidnap him.
What else?
As I said, he grows the heartafter being separated from
everybody.
He goes back with the group, helearns everything that he's uh
acquired over the that time ofthe discovering the jungle,
because it's like the planet ofdeath.
So he like uses a little fuckinguh what was it, like that eel
thing, bro?
It's like a shoulder cannon.

SPEAKER_00 (22:25):
Yeah, he had a so okay, so I was talking shit
earlier about technology.
So this guy, respectfully, actually uses nature as his
weapons, you know?
He's in like spikes or like awhip of grass he found.
Like he's interested.

SPEAKER_04 (22:41):
That would be like a reversal of like the first one.

SPEAKER_00 (22:43):
Yes.

SPEAKER_02 (22:44):
Yes.
So he honored Schwarzenegger'sthe robots.

SPEAKER_00 (22:47):
Yes.

unknown (22:47):
Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (22:48):
Yeah, but the human, yeah, yeah, perfect.
Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02 (22:51):
Yeah, absolutely.
Uh I like it.
I like it.
Okay, real quick.

SPEAKER_00 (22:53):
But it's all actually because it's pretty
much all like one versus ahundred, so he's going full
fucking John Claude Van Dam onthem and shit.
He made a valid point.

SPEAKER_04 (23:02):
Y'all want to know a little Easter uh tidbit?
Sure.
On the original Predator,Jean-Claude Van Damme was
supposed to play the alien.
What and actually film scenes,so there's some footage of it,
and the alien costume lookedcompletely different because
Jean-Claude Van Damme is a short5-2 dude.
Right.
It was a full costume, and helooked kind of like an insect
type thing.

(23:22):
But they're in the fuckingjungle of Central America, so it
was fucking miserable and hot inthe fucking costume.
So he quit.
And they and after a few days offilming, they were like, no,
this shit looks kind of silly.
It's not gonna work.
And it's when they switched tolike a six-foot dude, honest
watch nigga, badass.
Made more sense.
No, no, no, the alien.
Oh, the scary one.

(23:42):
John Club was gonna play thealien, and it was an insect type
suit.
Are you talking like alienatedor the predator alien?
The predator.
Oh, okay, okay, I'm sorry.
John Club and now was supposedto play the predator.
Uh he got casted as thepredator.
They went to the jungle, theyfilmed some scenes, he was in
like an insect type thing, butit was hot and miserable, so he
quit.
And they thought that the sceneslook silly because it was like

(24:04):
an insect in the in the jungle.
Oh, that makes sense.
And that's when they switched tothe six-foot predator, and it
was just like, you know, whatyou know now.
No, yeah, yeah, yeah.
The rest is history.

SPEAKER_02 (24:14):
That's interesting.
So John Black, if he could havebeen that, that'd have been
insane.

SPEAKER_04 (24:17):
Yeah, John Club and Dam.

SPEAKER_02 (24:18):
I bet you the fights probably would have been way
more hand-to-hand, though.
Yeah.

SPEAKER_04 (24:21):
Well, that's what he thought.
He was like, they hired JohnClub Madame, and he thought he
was going to be able to showcasehis martial arts because that's
what he's known for.
Yeah.
Well, he really wasn't able toshowcase it because he's in a
fucking rubber suit.
Oh, dude, that sucks.

SPEAKER_02 (24:32):
I can imagine in the fucking jungle.
That would have changed the loreof everything.
That would have changedeverything.

SPEAKER_04 (24:37):
Yeah, that's wild.
That was a whole differenttimeline.

SPEAKER_02 (24:39):
But there was a certain scene where they were
where the aucha was givinghimself up on the base of it.
Remember, everybody was walkingup and they had all those badass
scents working in unison to comeand hunt him down.
That moment, bro, in the movie,he was like, bro, they can
totally make a Metal Gear solidmovie, dog.
And when I saw it, I was like, this is Gundam.
Deadass.
I was like, that's Hido Yui inthe middle.
You know what I'm saying?
Everybody's getting ready.

(25:00):
And he's about to hit the bombsof fucking doo doom doom doom.
I was ready for it.
But I was like, when I saw that,I was like, there's no reason
why they can't make movies likethat now, dog.
Yeah.
Especially like it just it looksso good.
It looked just like out of theworld.

SPEAKER_00 (25:11):
Predator showed a lot of potential, not only in
like for movies, but othermovies as well.
Like a mecha fight happened.
Yeah.
The story life, the even thevillainist, the villain of the
story, felt like an actual gameantagonist.
Like her wardrobe, her her lookin her eye, like she looked

(25:32):
legit as fuck, like as avillain.
Even like her motive as avillain was legit.
The bad guys, everything, bro.
It was like a great movie, bro.
I recommend it.

SPEAKER_04 (25:41):
Isn't it?
Yeah.
Action.
All action.
All action.
I haven't seen it, but Idefinitely gotta watch it.
The last thing I wanted tomention is that it's all the
same director.
The same director that did Prey, did Killer Killers, and did uh
Badlands.
Oh, that he's he's like he'ssingle-handedly saving the show.
Same in the franchise.
Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02 (25:57):
On top of that, he's already giving you a sample that
I alright.
We could do a Viking movie.
We can do a samurai movie.

SPEAKER_04 (26:02):
It could work and I would watch the fuck out of
Samurai, you know.

SPEAKER_02 (26:06):
I would watch it out of Vikings pro fucking 6'5
blonde dude with axes comingout.
Oh, that'd be insane, dog.

SPEAKER_00 (26:12):
In a historic moment.

SPEAKER_04 (26:13):
So he can like actual fight like a berserker
dude and that would be Badlandsprobably sets up some seats for
some sequels, right?

SPEAKER_02 (26:22):
So it ends with uh he kills his dad, right?
He ends up like learningeverything.
He and like expert said, hecomes back with his cyborg
chick, with his dog that's nowadvanced because the mom died.
She's like fucked up crazy way.
But she dies, but you know, itgets its little revenge.
It gets older, but now it looksmore badass, and it's just him
by himself.
He ends up the whole thing islike earning your cloak.

(26:42):
Once you've claimed your trophyor whatever, you you earn your
invisibility cloak.
His dad has it.
He goes and fights his dadone-on-one.
His dad fucking hits theinvisibility cloak.
He uses his ship to like blowthe sand and dust so he can
actually see his dad through theinvisibility shit.
Bam, kills his ass, takes hiscloak, and he's about to bounce,
and out of nowhere, he turnsaround and his mom's ship's
about to pull up.
He's like, oh shit, yeah, it'sthe queen.

SPEAKER_03 (27:04):
And do you actually see the female Jonathan?

SPEAKER_02 (27:09):
No, no, we don't get to see it.
We just see their ships in thedistance that are pull up.

SPEAKER_04 (27:12):
TikTok that said that the females canon, the
females are.
They're towering.
Yeah.
They're bigger than the males,bro.
Okay.
And it's actually, you wouldthink that it would be a
patriarch culture.
But no, the females arestronger.
So the men do the hunting.
The men do the hunting.
The females are like, they don'teven bother because they know

(27:32):
they're damn more stronger.
It's like the like the male lionin the pikes.

SPEAKER_02 (27:36):
Yeah, bro.

SPEAKER_03 (27:38):
I did see that.
Dead by Schnoo Snoo.

SPEAKER_04 (27:42):
Oh, so this is what I In order to like fuck, you
gotta be able to take her on ina fight.
Oh, wait, for real?
I didn't know that.
Yeah, because they're stronger,so they gotta prove themselves.
So these motherfuckers are outhere, like getting trophies to
get that trophy.

SPEAKER_02 (28:00):
I'll kill an unkillable thing for some pussy.

SPEAKER_04 (28:06):
Oh I mean, we don't know.
I mean, that's that canon iskind of establishing the comics
and books.
So the movies are maybe gonna dotheir own thing.

SPEAKER_00 (28:16):
But the females are supposed to be like one thing I
want to bring it back becauselike bringing it to Prometheus,
or probably bringing I don'tknow which was the most recent
movie.
I know it's a series of alienout.
Yeah.
But I'm talking about movies.
Romulus was the last one.
Romulus.
There you go.
So circling back, which is theone where like the theory is
from Berks earlier, they'relike, hey, the mom's here to
pick you out because we're gonnado the great hunt.
It's time.

(28:37):
So my theory is like the alienshave like kind of overtaken
Earth or something because ofthe uh Sims, the one that went
crazy.

SPEAKER_02 (28:44):
Yeah, remember the one that brought him back to
Earth still?
Remember for the mission orwhatever?
So hey, they got out.
Hey, uh, we're gonna go aheadand start of him like starting
to shit with his mom, she'slike, I was just about to get
your dad, but you just cappedhis ass, so you gotta be
somebody now.

SPEAKER_00 (28:59):
Yeah, I need you.
Hey, yeah, you leave the crewnow.

SPEAKER_04 (29:01):
Yeah, I mean, I do like okay, the alien vs.
Frederick movies might not bethe best movies, but I like
them.

SPEAKER_00 (29:06):
I like them.
I'll never forget that scenewhere it was, I forget what was
that movie where it was like thequeen and she was chasing this
one girl.

SPEAKER_04 (29:13):
Oh, yeah, the first one.
That's the thing.
And the motherfucker doesn't.

SPEAKER_00 (29:17):
He does a 360 No Sco 520 four spin on the fucking
back.

SPEAKER_05 (29:23):
And then somebody else, yeah!

SPEAKER_04 (29:25):
That was so dumb because the girl gets an alien
head as a shield.
Yeah, pyramid out of an alientail.

SPEAKER_03 (29:32):
And then at the end, he stars her like he marks it
with the tears and shit likethat.
I thought I was like, yo.

SPEAKER_02 (29:41):
I want to be.

SPEAKER_04 (29:43):
But uh now that the movies have gotten so good, like
Romanus was so good.
It was phenomenal.
Went back to like scary basicsand like added so many more to
the to the to the lore.
And predator is just on the upand up.
If they actually connect andmake another ABP movie, yeah.

SPEAKER_02 (30:00):
Because the lore is so much more filled out this
time now.
Yeah.

SPEAKER_04 (30:02):
They're not just like feeling it.

SPEAKER_02 (30:04):
Here's my thing.

SPEAKER_00 (30:04):
Here's a third one though.
They say I'm not, I'm not, Igotta do my research on it, but
if hey correct me if I'm wrong, chat.
The the the uh the the BladeRunner movies are connected to
the same corporation.
It's the corporation that makesthe robots.
It's the same one.
That's the way because you seetheir logo throughout the movie,

(30:25):
and this is like this supposedlytakes like before Alien Blade uh
Blade Runner.
Blade Runner Alien.
So can I see Blade Runner Alien?
Oh wait, Predator, Blade Runner,Aliens.

SPEAKER_05 (30:38):
Oh, that's so Waygo.

SPEAKER_00 (30:40):
Because you see, if you see Blade Runner, the logo
is everywhere of that company, the Wayne company.
Right now, the new trailer?
In the new movie?
The 80s one, the one from theHarrison Ford.

SPEAKER_04 (30:49):
Oh yeah, I didn't know that.
I didn't know that.

SPEAKER_00 (30:51):
So we've seen, yeah.
So that's where they're thewhole story takes place about
these androids are looking tolive longer.
Because these were like theearlier versions.
So they're looking for thescientists to like, hey, make me
a wait to live longer.
They're scientists are like youexpire in three days is how I
made you, and then like they gomad at the scientists and they
kill them.
And to Harrison 4, when you shutthese crazy ass androids down.

(31:12):
And that's where the story takesplace about Blade Runner.

SPEAKER_04 (31:16):
You brought up the Alien series.
I haven't watched it but heardnothing but good things about
it.

SPEAKER_00 (31:21):
Yeah, my dad's seen it.
Oh, Alien Earth, right?
Alien Earth.

SPEAKER_04 (31:25):
I haven't had a chance to watch it.
They say that it explores likesynths.
It explores sense.
And like the call the uh thesense versus like uh hybrids and
versus androids.

SPEAKER_00 (31:35):
Yes, yes, and and and it's not to spoil anything,
but uh it does take place likein a time of Badlands.
Like it's all connected in thefuture.

SPEAKER_04 (31:45):
I think so, yeah.
But Alien Ern does take placebefore the alien movies somehow.
I haven't seen any, so I don'tknow for sure.
But it's it's weird the way itfits into the time of movies.
Is it on HBO?
Is it on Hulu?
It's on Hulu.
I gotta check that out.
Yeah, yeah, I gotta watch it,man.
Especially I gotta I gotta catchup on this Badlands thing.
I didn't think it was gonna begood.

SPEAKER_03 (32:05):
I didn't know what yeah, it was really good, man.

SPEAKER_02 (32:10):
Like I said, I didn't know.
Oh, we saw it in 4D, bro.

SPEAKER_03 (32:12):
You saw it in 4D?
I saw it in 4D, but it wasreally fun.

SPEAKER_04 (32:15):
Yeah, bro, like the spaceship crashes.
You convinced this guy.
This guy to watch it 4D.
Yeah, bro.

SPEAKER_02 (32:20):
It was actually just I was like, hey, we're we're
going.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (32:26):
But I was like, okay.
I was fine.

SPEAKER_02 (32:28):
It was dope, man.
It was a really, really goodtime.
So yeah, got a recommendation.
Go watch it in Regal 40.
We are 35 minutes in.
All right, we said 50 minutes.
Let's get the fuck out of here.
