And in today’s very special episode… we turn the mic one last time to host Kate White, as she records her final solo episode before passing the RV Queens torch. (Tissues not included. You’ve been warned 🤧)

Kate gets real about the journey behind the brand—how RV Queens started, what it gave her personally and professionally, and why her family made the bittersweet decision to settle back down in the city where it all began. She shares memories, milestones, and the lessons she’s taking with her into this next season of life.

👉 Whether you’ve followed since day one or you’re brand new here, this episode is a beautiful close to one chapter—and an exciting intro to the next.

In this episode, Kate reflects on:

  • How RV Queens began as a way to spotlight other women on the road
  • The behind-the-scenes story of building the community
  • What RV life taught her about family, rhythms, and creating your own version of “home”
  • Her return to Nebraska—and what’s next for travel, business, and freedom

This episode is heartfelt, hopeful, and full of gratitude. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s really like to grow something from the ground up and then pass it on with confidence—you’ll love this conversation

(00:00):
Welcome back to the RV Queens Podcast, where we celebrate and
support women making money on the road.
And this is a very special episode of the show.
Whether you've been on this journey with me since the
beginning or even if you're new here today, this episode is
going to be a little different. It's reflective, it's

(00:21):
celebratory, and it's also a little bit emotional for me
because today I am sharing my final solo episode as the host
of RV Queens. I've got a lot I want to say.
So grab your coffee, cozy up, and let's walk down memory lane
together for a minute. OK, you guys.
So I started RV Queens because back in 2022 when we started RV

(00:47):
Life, I kept meeting these unexpectedly incredible,
inspiring women out on the road who were also living full time
in RV's. And I've said this 100 times and
it's true, we had no idea what astrong subculture the RV
community is and that it includes young families like

(01:09):
ours. We hit the road and thought we
were just joining retirees and empty nesters in this lifestyle.
So when I started connecting with high caliber women and
noticed that no one was shining a spotlight on this group, I
thought to myself, people need to hear these stories.
And I wanted to shine a light onthe women choosing this

(01:31):
unconventional lifestyle, raising kids, building
businesses and you know, chasingfreedom and their RV's.
And I thought a podcast would bea beautiful way to do that, to
shine that spotlight and to share the stories.
What I didn't realize at the time was just how much I'd fall
in love with the community side of running this business too.

(01:55):
Personally, RV Queens gave me anoutlet to learn and grow.
You know, I'd always loved interviewing clients in my past
jobs, and this let me keep building that skill.
But the surprise gift was the community and getting to support
and encourage and connect women living this unique, intentional

(02:16):
life on the road. You guys, it's been the easiest
and most cup filling business I've ever run and I will be
forever grateful for this experience.
This chapter is closing for me Running RV Queens, and I'll talk
a little deeper about that in a bit, but I'm more excited than
ever for its future. So real quick, I want to

(02:36):
highlight a favorite moment of Running RV Queens.
You know, there are so many moments that have meant so much
to me. I've recorded over 100 podcast
episodes in just a couple years, but I want to share one that
will always stick with me. I remember the first month that
we had over 25 new members join the RV Queens Circles community.

(02:58):
I sat at my laptop, you know, myjaw dropped watching these
orders come in and it felt surreal.
That might seem like a small number to you, but it was like,
it was awesome to me because this was all just one big
experiment. I was like, I don't know if
anyone's going to want to join this, but you guys, that was
largely thanks to you, that initial group of like, I don't

(03:21):
know, 6 to 12 women, I'd say, who started in the community
with me, who promoted the group through word of mouth and on
Instagram as affiliates. It was this beautiful, you know,
kind of grassroots women supporting women type moment.
And I loved it. And there's something really
special about how many of you have been here from the

(03:44):
beginning, like cheering me on, cheering each other on.
And you've cheered me on throughevery experiment and shift and
plot twist in this business. And there's been a few.
And you've made this such a safe, supportive, and empowering
space. I could not be more proud of
what we've built together. And I'm just so grateful for you

(04:06):
all. I'm sure you're wondering what's
up with me behind the scenes, solet's just talk about that for a
SEC. If you've been listening for a
while, you know that my family originally hit the road with one
goal in mind, which was to find a new city to live in.
And we searched you guys, we traveled the whole country in
like 3 years. We visited places, debated our

(04:28):
options, and for a while it looked like we might settle down
somewhere totally new. We had narrowed it down to a
list of like, you know, 3 or 4 cities and got pretty serious
about it. But here's what we discovered
over time, and I'm guessing thatsome of you can relate to this
too, is that home isn't really aplace.

(04:50):
It's something that you build together.
So during these like 3 years of travel, we stopped what I call
outsourcing our life. You know, we took ownership of
our school and our school schedule and work and our work
schedule and of our family time because we were together

(05:10):
literally 24/7. And we had to figure out how to
do every aspect of life togetherinstead of looking to anyone
else or any organization to figure out our day-to-day
rhythms and our schedules. You know, like we created our
own family culture that that fitus, us for humans and a dog.

(05:32):
And what we found is that home was already within us.
We didn't have to look outside ourselves to a city to provide
that home that we were looking for.
So in the end, and a funny twistof fate, we chose to return to
the city where we started, Omaha, NE, and where we already

(05:55):
have a baseline of community, you know, like our kids, to get
to grow up near the family that they completely adore.
There's a strong homeschool network here that was important
to us. And there's even a good local
food scene here. And yes, that was on our list of
requirements for a city. So we have settled back into a

(06:16):
house, but we're not saying goodbye to travel.
Not at all. We still own the RV and we've
talked about what model, you know, we want to get next and we
plan to hit the road, you know, about every quarter, sometimes
in an RV and sometimes not, but always with intention, you know,
and hopefully with friends to meet up with because as we've

(06:38):
discovered, that is a really funway to travel.
Shout out to all the friends that we've traveled with over
the past few years, especially the Ammons, the Fogarties.
The cost goes, and I know there's more that I'm
forgetting, but we've really, really enjoyed our time
traveling with you guys. The biggest things I've learned

(07:00):
through this transition back to life in a house, and I'm going
to take this a little sentimental for a second, is
that I am not the same woman wholeft the city three years ago.
I have gained so much confidencein the way that we live, the way
we raise our kids, the time freedom that we prioritize, and

(07:21):
the other priorities we've created in our little family
culture. You know, such as getting into
nature everyday, hopefully multiple times a day.
I'm proud of how I've changed and how our family has changed
and grown together and how we started living more
intentionally based on our own rhythms.
And, you know, we're excited to continue that lifestyle.

(07:43):
Even as we settle into city lifeagain, We want to still host
campfires and bring our city friends into the culture that
we've created. And maybe they'll see the light
that, you know, gathering the family and sweatpants and
sweatshirts and just living lifetogether.
That's all you really need. What happens now with RV Queens?

(08:05):
RV Queens, including the podcastand the online community, are
not going away. In fact, it's entering an
exciting new chapter with someone new at the helm whom I
know you're going to love. If you've been around the RV
space at all, you probably know the name Charlie Grace.
She runs her own online brand called Charlie Grace Adventures,

(08:28):
and she's been active in RV niche for nearly a decade here.
So she actually first started talking to me about RV Queens
about nine months ago, and we did a few podcast episodes and
YouTube live together and stuff like that.
We met up in person several times in Florida and I got to
see up close how much she reallyvalues community and especially

(08:50):
for women just like I do. So when my family and I, you
know, we made the decision to get off the road, I reached out
to her and after a few conversations, the stars aligned
and we both knew this was the right fit.
If you're not too familiar with her, Charlie is a passionate,
well connected woman and she is full of vision.

(09:12):
I genuinely believe you guys that she's going to take RV
Queens to the next level in the way that I couldn't, and I'm so
excited to see where she leads the brand from here.
This is my final solo episode, but Charlie will be taking over
as podcast host from here on out.
And I know you're going to love her.
You'll get to know her voice andher story and her heart in the

(09:35):
next few episodes, and I think you're going to love it.
So before I go, I want to say a few thank yous to every woman
who's listened, who's shared thepodcast, join the community, or
just sent me an encouraging DM. Through the years, you have made
this the easiest and most wonderful business to run.
So thank you. Special thanks to the Ride or

(09:57):
Die listeners who've been here from day one.
You guys, there are so many of you and I wish I could just list
every name. Oh, I know you all and I know
your stories and I know you knowmine.
I just, I, I see you and I am sograteful for you all.
Special thanks to Kim Graham. You are like a sister to me.

(10:18):
You've helped run this communitybehind the scenes and in front
of the scenes and you keep things moving.
And I'm thrilled that you will still be involved as RV Queens
grows. And to Charlie, thank you for
saying yes to this next chapter.I couldn't be more confident in
you and where you are going to drive the crew next.

(10:42):
Yes, I had to throw a pun in there about driving because it's
an RV podcast. OK, as far as I go, if you want
to stay connected with me, I will always be part of RV Queens
as the founder and cheerleader in chief.
You can also find me over at Instagram at Midwesterners Gone

(11:02):
Rogue. My husband and I are still
building our life around freedomand flexibility and fun, and
just with a different backdrop now.
And if you haven't already, be sure to hit subscribe on your
favorite podcast app so you don't miss a beat as Charlie
takes the reins and join the RV Queen circles if you haven't
yet. It's still the best, most
supportive community of travel women out there, I promise you.

(11:26):
So my friends, this has been a wonderful creative adventure for
me and I'm walking away so proudand so full and so excited to
see what's next for me and for you and for this amazing
community. So until we meet again, keep

(11:46):
travelling boldly and living intentionally and building the
kind of life that most people only dream of with all my love.
And I say that sincerely, you guys, with all my love, This is
Kate signing off and I will see you on the road.
