我们本专栏的上篇文章已经介绍了前广东省政协主席陈绍基落马后，墙内权威党媒，人民日报社旗下的环球网适时刊登了《揭秘陈绍基情妇 美女主播粤剧名伶共侍一人》一文。同样是人民日报的子刊《 人民文摘 》也不甘落后，接着刊登了《落马高官和他的亲人们》一文。文章介绍包括文强、陈绍基在内的“一批在2010年内被治罪的前高官们和自己的妻子、儿女、兄弟姐妹或情人一道落入法网或同台受审。为了追逐金钱和美女，他们在失去了官位、党籍和公职的同时，也失去了幸福、自由甚至生命。需要特别说明的是，他们在接受刑罚的同时，还领受了‘没收全部财产’的附加刑。这意味着，他们已经一无所有。”
文中说：“其中的陈绍基的腐败既涉及女人，又涉及巨额财物。在陈绍基长达17年的犯罪生涯中，他的儿子陈子翊和他的情人李泳作为受贿的共同犯罪人牵涉其中。”
2010年7月23日陈绍基被一审判处死刑缓期两年执行。两个月后，李泳在同一个法庭上被判处有期徒刑3年。之所以被从轻量刑，是因为此前没等陈绍基把她供出来，她本人就主动到广州市警察局投案自首去了。
