Speaker 8 (04:29):
The search for missing flood victims is still ongoing in
Central Texas. For the first time since the deadly fourth
of July flooding devastated that area, there's been no flood
advisories or rain in the forecast. They're finally getting a
little bit of a break. Officials in Kirk County had
to put a hold on search efforts after three days
of heavy rain. Cruz, we're searching for the bodies of
(04:49):
ninety seven people still across the entire state. At least
one hundred and thirty four have died due to the floods,
and they still have a lot of cleanup and a
lot of things that they need to get fixed over there,
so you can help.

called Chat GPT Agent and Artificial Intelligence that can handle
some advanced tasks using its own virtual computer. It can

Speaker 2 (06:07):
One of my favorite quotes we keep hearing about is
from Sigmund Freud. He says, before you diagnose yourself with
depression or low self esteem, make sure you're just not
surrounded by assholes.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
Oh perfect.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
He said that he may have used the word jerked.
So before you diagnose yourself with anything, just consider the
people you're hanging out with, because you are a product.
You are a product of the people you're hanging out with.
Are you ready for your product?
Speaker 11 (06:38):

Speaker 15 (08:33):

derail you get frustrated about it, and then shake it off.
Your days of nine Libra.
Speaker 17 (09:14):
If you wouldn't say it to a friend, don't say
it to yourself. Kindness starts in your own head. Your
day's a five Scorpio. Clean out that junk drawer, literally
or emotionally. You're due from many detos. Your days an eight, Hey, Sagittarius,

Speaker 2 (10:09):
Hi, Danielle, I see you working feverishly over there. What
do you have coming up?
Speaker 18 (10:12):
Which TV show theme song will you never skip? And
Stephen Colbert has been canceled.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
Boo, he has the show's done. That's uh m, I
don't what to think about that. Many ways to look
at it. Hey, back to the TV theme song. It
gets to the point now where, especially when you watch
the show on Netflix or whatever, the theme song or
whatever the intro is, you can just skip right through it.
I don't know if I wrote those theme songs, I'll
(10:39):
be a little pissed off at that feature totally.
Speaker 3 (10:42):
But I definitely have one or two that I don't skip.
Speaker 6 (10:44):
Same.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
All right, let's get into that in a few minutes.
Speaker 1 (10:46):

Speaker 2 (11:08):
Welcome to the.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
Elist in the Morning show.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
You know it's yesterday morning. Danielle reported on our show
that the tomorrow Land set for the Tomorrowland Festival this
weekend was had had a little fire, but it looks
like the whole thing almost burned down.
Speaker 18 (11:23):
Yeah, the fire was insane that they said there's no
way they can even use that area.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
And that's a sad thing because that Tomorrowland set. I
don't know if you are familiar, but every year in
Brussels when they have tomorrow Land, that set is like
the Star. Oh yeah, it is just full of water,
fountains and fireworks and different stages and it's just in
pools of water and everything. That the whole thing, the
whole thing burned down. Yeah, is a living world, right,
(11:50):
so so but tomorrow And is still on though, right
They have lost stages.
Speaker 18 (11:52):
Oh yeah, yeah, they've been posting. They let people in,
they have more stages. They're just keeping people updated with
exactly you know what's happening.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
Was it last year that Swedish house Mafia played Tomorrowland.
That was the big That was the big one, I
think I believe so was it scary, scary.
Speaker 19 (12:10):
So yeah, no, I am. I'm also trying to I
think they're supposed to be there this year. They are,
they are have a show.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
Yeah yeah, well they would have been on that main
stage without that, of course.
Speaker 4 (12:19):
I'm just trying to see if anything was altered because
of the fire.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
Well, we just found out they're coming to New York.
Should we not talk about it?
Speaker 19 (12:26):
I mean it's been announced. I have it on alert.
I have an alert in my phone. They got announced
the show. They're playing at Arthur Ash on September eleventh.
It's one show, Swedish House Mafia. It's so rare that
three guys come together and pre sale is on Wednesday,
and I'm signed up for that.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
Let's come, let's come. Let's put that on the list. Okay,
So we have we have a growing list. We have
a growing list our vision board. Let's see. We have
Backstreet Boys at the sphere right in Vegas. We have
Bad Buddy in Puerto Rico. We added another one yesterday.
What was that?
Speaker 6 (13:04):
I thought it was Tomorrowland but in Europe.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
Well, yeah, that that, but there was another one.
Speaker 3 (13:10):
I think that's what we added.
Speaker 6 (13:11):
I thought that's the one we added tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Yeah, we added that, let's wait to a next year
when they have a new stage.
Speaker 3 (13:16):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 19 (13:17):
Now Swedish House Mafia September eleventh, Arthur Ash Right, oh god,
let's go.
Speaker 2 (13:23):
I've got the song right here. We can either play
that or do something else.
Speaker 3 (13:26):
Play it, play it.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
Can you imagine being at a festival watching this with
just saying love them?
Speaker 4 (13:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (13:38):
The Swedish House Mafia did play last year with that
huge stage. This year, I don't know. We'll find out
if they're still going to play. Hey Danielle, yes, it's
time to go. What do you have going on?
Speaker 18 (13:46):
All right, Well, we're gonna start with the thing everybody's
talking about, the jumbo Chan kiss cam.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
During Couick.
Speaker 18 (13:53):
Caught a married tech ceo canoodling with one of the
company's h rploy He's got nice.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
It went viral.
Speaker 18 (14:02):
Of course, it was everywhere because they kind of panicked
when they realized they were on camera. And then, of
course Chris Martin says, look at these two.
Speaker 3 (14:10):
Either they're having an.
Speaker 18 (14:11):
Affair or they're just very shy, and we all know
the answer.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
Actually, did you know? That didn't really help.
Speaker 18 (14:17):
Anything, And later on he said something like Oh, I
really hope I didn't do something really bad. Well, guess
what they were doing something really bad, So don't worry
about it. That a statement came out supposedly from the
CEO apologizing. Now, according to TMZ, they're saying that that
statement is not real that so who knows?
Speaker 3 (14:34):
Who knows? I'm sure it's gonna unfold and there's gonna
be more.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
Wait, what's the sound we have here? Oh from Garrett
CEO or coworker Coldplay kissing him?
Speaker 4 (14:42):
When's the famous moment that Chris Martin announced it on stage?
Speaker 20 (14:45):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (14:45):
Okay, okay, I thought he was an announcement for the CEO.
All right, okay, go ahead? Sorry, are you.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
Gonna play it?
Speaker 2 (14:50):
Or no?
Speaker 1 (14:51):
No?
Speaker 3 (14:51):
Okay okay.
Speaker 18 (14:52):
And unfortunately, Stephen Colbert announced at the top of his
show last night that his program was canceled. His finale
will be twenty twenty six. Of course, he is not
happy about this. CBS execs released the statement, saying that
this is purely a financial decision.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
It's you know her exactly.
Speaker 18 (15:09):
They say it's not related in any way to the
show's performance, content or other matters happening at Paramount.
Speaker 3 (15:15):
So yeah, it's sad.
Speaker 18 (15:17):
So Toy Story will be re released in movies September
twelfth for its thirtieth anniversary. So if you want to
see the original Toy Story back on the big screen,
that's gonna be happening. And then Toy Story five comes
out next year.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
So that's cool.
Speaker 18 (15:30):
And I'm also hearing that the live action Tangled is
back on because it had been kind of put in
the back burner because you know, Disney's you know, live
action stuff hadn't been doing so well. But Lelo and
Stitch did so well that they brought this one back.
There's a rumor that Scarlett Johanssen will be the voice
of Mother Goffle and that they are kind of looking
(15:50):
at unknown Broadway talent to possibly be Rapunzel, So I
will can you posted a lotch no when that happens.
Speaker 3 (15:57):
H So, when we watch.
Speaker 18 (15:59):
Television in or you know, when you're streaming something, there's
always that theme song in the beginning, and you can
skip it on a lot of you know, occasions, and
a lot of us do now. I know that when
I would watch The Perfect Couple, I'd never skip it
because the Making Trainers song Criminals was one of my favorites,
and I got so excited and I get up and dance.
When I watched Pretty Little Liars, I never skipped that
(16:20):
because I loved it.
Speaker 3 (16:21):
Or True Blood certain ones. Do you guys have ones
that you never skip?

husband for me. I had no idea. I honestly was shocked.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
It was amazing. The same for me my big party
last year. I had no clue and which made me
mad at me.
Speaker 4 (20:12):
They hired a belly dancer from my fortieth It was awesome.
Speaker 3 (20:15):
Oh yeah remember that.
Speaker 2 (20:18):
Yeah, unfortunately I was the belly dancer at this part. Hey,
so we heard from a listener. But go ahead and
pick her up. Let's call her Rebecca, not her real name,
and Rebecca if if you had also just kind of
changed your voice a little bit too. Oh no, no, no, okay,
(20:40):
see you're gonna give it away. Okay. Here's the thing.
So you found out that there's a surprise birthday party,
a big one for you tomorrow, that someone you're very
close to is throwing for you, and you know about it,
but they don't know you know. So your question to
us is should you just walk in with I'm surprized
face or should you say something? So that's that's what
(21:03):
you're wondering.
Speaker 23 (21:03):
Yes, I'm torn because I feel like I'm the one
keeping a secret now and I'm just like, I'm not
sure what to do with this. No, I found out
completely innocently. Okay, that's that's my gut. I'm like, I
just have to go with it, and because I don't
want to ruin the surprise for them exactly.
Speaker 18 (21:20):
They went through a lot to plan this for you,
and this is a special night, So just go with it.
Speaker 3 (21:25):
Don't go with it for them.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
Yeah, practice, Okay, let's go ahead and let's practice right now,
shall we. Okay, you walk in the room. They all
goes awry.
Speaker 24 (21:38):
And you go, oh my god, well you know what
I did? You know what I did?
Speaker 2 (21:49):
I walked back out of the room. I'm like, uh, silently,
I did.
Speaker 17 (21:55):
That's a great idea that I slowly shoveled out of
the door.
Speaker 2 (21:59):
Yeah, and be just walk out. They'll be like they'll
be like, oh, Rebecca, you're crazy, you crazy girl.
Speaker 4 (22:08):
I feel awful.
Speaker 23 (22:09):
I feel awful that I know.
Speaker 9 (22:11):
I think you have to put up a little bit
of a fight at whatever fake plan you are being
taken to, Like, I don't want to go to.
Speaker 5 (22:17):
This stupid dinner.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
I did do yeah, yeah.
Speaker 23 (22:22):
Well I actually did that because I was like, they're
talking about this band that's going to be a disband.
Speaker 2 (22:28):
Wait, don't give too much information.
Speaker 23 (22:30):
Oh that's right, Oh my gosh, right, never mind, I
take it back, are you?
Speaker 3 (22:34):
I'm afraid that someone's going to hear you though, and
that they're going to know.
Speaker 17 (22:37):
You know.
Speaker 23 (22:39):
No, I'm not because my husband doesn't listen. My daughter
is in bed, she's not awake. No, I'm safe. I'm
pretty safe.
Speaker 2 (22:48):
Aren't there other people invited? There's other people invited. Look, okay,
let's not get into that. Let's just say we we
all vote, and we believe you definitely should throw on
the I'm surprised act now. Down on the road. Maybe
months or years later, maybe you could say, you know,
you know, I don't know. Maybe you never have to
do that. Why do that?
Speaker 23 (23:09):
I know, I know. I just might just have to
take it to the grave.
Speaker 3 (23:12):
Yeah, but that was my day.
Speaker 23 (23:14):
I think I just have to go with it. But
I had to get someone else's opinion, and I couldn't
talk to anybody else.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
Hey, so you can't really tell us how, But was
it easy to find out? Is it something you just
accidentally saw? Did someone say something.
Speaker 23 (23:30):
It was just completely accidental? It was There was a
spreadsheet that I.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
Saw stop saying, don't give details. Wow, it must be.
It must be quite a party if it's got a
spreadsheet involved, so awesome. Just just for the sake of you, Rebecca,
not your real name, We're going to We're going to
hang up and then discontinue the conversation because I don't
want you to give any more away. But tomorrow night whatever,
(23:56):
keep in mind, it's a night for you. You have
a fun time. Obviously, they're doing this because they love you.
You are very loved.
Speaker 8 (24:02):
Okay, Yeah, you need practice more though, you gotta practice more.
Speaker 7 (24:07):
Okay, we'll.
Speaker 23 (24:09):
Repeat.
Speaker 2 (24:09):
Yes, you can you cry on command, cry on command.
It's very good.
Speaker 23 (24:15):
Oh my god, Dad, I cannot do all right.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
All right, it's okay, all right, Rebecca, not your own name,
Thank you, good luck, bye bye. If she went on
with us, she should not have come home come on
the air with us.
Speaker 18 (24:28):
Have you ever been at a party though, where the
person walks in and they right away were like.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
I know you. That's a good point, Danielle. Don't do
that takes it away from someone. If you're going to
her party tomorrow tomorrow and you know who she is,
don't give away.
Speaker 3 (24:44):
The seat that is so stupid.
Speaker 1 (24:47):
Now, mister Rann in the Morning Show. If mister Ran
in the Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
Wow, Uncle Johnny, there is hey, Uncle Johnny. Uh you
know the windshi in the tree outside. Every time they ring,
We're like, hi, Uncle Johnny. We're convinced it's him. Okay,
let's talk about corn and coffee. Which one do you
want to start with?
Speaker 5 (25:09):
Coffee?
Speaker 6 (25:10):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (25:10):
Coffee?
Speaker 5 (25:11):
All right?
Speaker 4 (25:14):
To me?
Speaker 2 (25:14):
Coffee is coffee either it's good or bad. It's like wine.
I love wine. I love wine more than normal people.
I'm abnormally in love with wine. But I can't tell
you anything about wine. I'm not a whino. I mean,
I'm a whino, but I'm not a wine like a psalm.
You know, when it comes to coffee, I either know it,
I like it, or I don't. It's bitter or it's not.
It's burnt, you know, or whatever. So I was reading
(25:37):
this morning about how to order the perfect cup of coffee.
You guys know more than me, especially you scary Yeah, well, no,
order the right roast of coffee. I'm like, what, Well,
so if you like to drink it black, they say, well,
you should do more of a mellow roast if you
like to put a lot of milk and sugar in there,
you should do a darker roast. It tastes better together, right, Yes,
(26:00):
And I love ice coffee, but a lot of people
need to know there's a difference between iceed coffee and
cold brew two different things.
Speaker 5 (26:06):
What is the difference.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
Ice coffee is regular hot coffee that has been cooled
down with ice cubes and whatever. Cold brew is they
use a cold brew process where it Brewis it cold?
Did you know that? So it's less it's typically less
bitter to have cold brew than it is to have
ice all.
Speaker 3 (26:23):
I was gonna say, which one's more potent?
Speaker 2 (26:27):
Yeah, I'm not totally convinced that it may be less
more maybe more potent because they sometimes put ice in
hot coffee.
Speaker 5 (26:35):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (26:35):
I don't know it's more concentrated.
Speaker 2 (26:39):
Well, I know how we just sit there and throw
out facts and then we don't really know that they're fact.
Speaker 9 (26:42):
It's how you can brew something without boiling it, because
it doesn't brewing it mean.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
You boil it, Okay, col brew is they steep it
in cold water for hours, which makes it smoother and
sweeter and work and actually more caffeinated, so you're right scary.
So there you go, and in the flavored syrup thing.
If you overdo those flavored syrups, it's a sugar bomb.
There you go, and there you have it. A latte, okay,
(27:10):
a latte is mostly steamed milk with a shot of espresso.
Creamy and smooth. It's the gateway drink for those who
aren't sure they like the taste of coffee. So a
latte is a good way to get started. An Americano,
as I have been explained, is espresso with hot water.
Speaker 5 (27:24):
Okay.
Speaker 9 (27:26):
If you're in Europe, they don't have brewed coffee. You
have to get an Americano correct most place.
Speaker 2 (27:33):
And a cappuccino is kind of in the middle. It's
it's part of espresso, part steam, milk and that frothy milk,
phone on top, foam on top. And by the way,
as Italians would tell you, never ever order any milk
in your coffee past ten or eleven am.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
Oh, I'll do it.
Speaker 5 (27:46):
I will do it.
Speaker 2 (27:47):
Okay, don't put cheese on fish. They get really pissed
off at that. I don't know. I'll love a good crappucino.
Whi's a flat white. I would think you're pretty much
a flat one.
Speaker 14 (28:01):
No.
Speaker 9 (28:01):
I see it on the menu all the time and
I always want to order it, but it doesn't sound
like it has coffee in it.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
I think there's in yeah, I ask, ask, ask someone else.
I don't know. Okay, So coffee all I know is
good or bad. I usually drink it black sometimes in
the mornings, if for a special occasion, I'll throw a
little steam in there, steam milk. Any questions, coffee? Can
we move on?
Speaker 6 (28:23):
No, yes, we can move on.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
Okay, now corn as you know, you know, Nate, You're
you're with me on this.
Speaker 5 (28:30):
I'm a corner file.
Speaker 2 (28:31):
I'm a corner file as well, not a porno file,
a corner file. I know Scotty be'es in the corn
world as well. Corn season. I have to have corn
every single day, every single day. I have to incorporate
corn into almost everything I cook. If it's just on
the cob, off the cob, however you want to do it.
Last night I did pasta narana, which it's pasta with zucchini,
(28:53):
and I put corn in it. I put kernels of corn,
and so people A friend of mine, who's it taling
you looked at me like, Okay, I don't care.
Speaker 5 (29:02):
Who cares.
Speaker 2 (29:03):
I have to find new creative ways to eat my corn.
So it is corn season. The new Jersey corn is
now officially out. It's almost there. It's almost sweet enough,
but it's it's perfect. I put corn in my coffee
just to.
Speaker 8 (29:16):
Be honest, a combination. So does this be our favorite pasta?
Is that our favorite place?
Speaker 1 (29:24):
Now?
Speaker 6 (29:24):
If the corn's out?
Speaker 2 (29:26):
Oh, we haven't checked that out. Yeah, they usually tell me.
If Odeon has its corn ravioli out, we call it
opening day.
Speaker 3 (29:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (29:37):
If it's on the menu and they didn't call me,
that means obviously we're having some sort of tip. I
don't think the corn's ready for that yet. If I'm
not mistaken, I could be wrong on that. Usually it's
later in July. Anyway, Corn and coffee.
Speaker 6 (29:51):
Anyone, I love both of those things.
Speaker 3 (29:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (29:53):
How do they get those big what do they call
it lotase or something like that.
Speaker 2 (29:58):
The big, big, big.
Speaker 5 (30:00):
Kernels of corn?
Speaker 21 (30:01):
How do they make that's?
Speaker 2 (30:03):
I think that know what I'm talking about, right Well,
I think that's more of the presentation of how they
make it with the cheese and the restaurants where they.
Speaker 5 (30:11):
Have massive kernels of corn. I don't know.
Speaker 6 (30:13):
I have no idea what just a different strain of corn.
Speaker 5 (30:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (30:17):
Maybe anyway, maybe does that makes sense?
Speaker 14 (30:20):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (30:20):
I love harmony.
Speaker 3 (30:22):
Kernels are called harmony maybe.
Speaker 2 (30:24):
Well, which you can do in pizzola. You've hit the
soup right. What they do is they take the kernels
of corn and they soak them in lime and they
make them expand and blow up. Got know way too
much about corn, you really do. I love harmony, by
the way. It's a great consistency. Yes, gry and so.
Speaker 14 (30:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 19 (30:38):
I don't like it on the cob because it gets
between my teeth, but I will say the elote the
street corn Daniell'll cover your ears.
Speaker 4 (30:45):
It's made with mayo.
Speaker 2 (30:46):
Sometimes it's so good though it is great.
Speaker 4 (30:50):
That's flavorful corn.
Speaker 2 (30:51):
You can do it on or off the cob. Hey,
uh sweet corn. Raveota is on the menu.
Speaker 5 (30:56):
It's on the it's on the website.
Speaker 8 (30:58):
And they never told us.
Speaker 6 (30:59):
So we are fighting.
Speaker 2 (31:00):
There's a problem. We got to get to the bottom
of that. And then you know. There's an ice cream
place used to be down on Bleaker Street to Scotty Bean.
I used to go to called Cones cones still there.
They closed it, right, they closed. Tell tell them our favorite,
our favorite ice cream every summer.
Speaker 16 (31:17):
We walked in and they had corn ice cream. You
look at it and you're like, ew, but it is
so sweet and so delicious. What an interesting combination. But
it was the best ice cream I've ever had in
my life.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
Yeah, corn gelato. It was amazing. And then more now
more people have it. All right, let's move on to
something less boring.
Speaker 4 (31:36):
Remember the corn pizza that was awesome.
Speaker 6 (31:39):
This is moving on.
Speaker 2 (31:42):
The first time I had corn pizza was surprisingly in Italy.
I never knew that they would do that, but it
was pretty amazing. Let's talk about something else. Come on,
spend the wheel of things to talk about.
Speaker 8 (31:53):
Go do we talk about the Coldplay incident? Such a
lesson and just being man, just be cool.
Speaker 2 (32:01):
Okay, tell the story so in case someone doesn't know it.
Speaker 6 (32:04):
So it was one of those basically like kiss cam
kind of things.
Speaker 8 (32:06):
But it was at the Coldplay concert and it zooms
in on a couple that is, as Danielle said, canodling
up in what looks like a luxury box. And as
soon as the camera hits them and they realize it,
they both freak out. The guy ducks, the girl walks
in the other direction. Then he like hops behind this
glass thing where you can still see him and their friend,
and her reaction next to them.
Speaker 6 (32:26):
Was like, oh damn, they just got caught.
Speaker 8 (32:29):
At that moment, Chris Martin says, Wow, they're either really
shy or they're having an affair. Turns out, in fact,
they were having an affair, and now everybody knows. And
I have never seen a story covered more than this.
It's crazy, fabulous.
Speaker 2 (32:44):
Yeah, and it was everywhere. We were talking about how
if you're even on social media for ten seconds yesterday,
you saw it. It was everywhere. It was actually, as
I keep saying, it was obviously the story we needed.
Speaker 8 (33:00):
He's the CEO of a company called Astronomer, and allegedly
she's the chief people officer over there, so she works
in HR and now you know, that's another scandal. And
now all these things are coming out, like a fake
tweet from Coldplay, a fake statement from the guy. We
don't know what's going on, but it is chaotic. His
wife allegedly already changed her last name on Facebook.
Speaker 2 (33:17):
It's getting crazy, Yeah, I mean it's growing. All these
stories and now it's to the point where you don't
know what's true what's not. Also, I heard a rumor
that that couple was stranged and they already filed for divorce,
and we don't know. We just don't know anything.
Speaker 6 (33:32):
But regardless, it is a lesson and just being cool.
Speaker 1 (33:35):
Man.
Speaker 8 (33:35):
Had they not overreacted like that, the camera would have
moved on and nobody would have cared. But that reaction
got all the attention. So if you're doing something bad
and you get caught, just keep doing the thing.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
I keep doing it. Just this thing that Garrett just
sent us in the chat room. Coldplay hasn't made a single,
and years last night they made too.
Speaker 6 (33:53):
I saw that.
Speaker 2 (33:58):
Yeah, you know, this happened here in New York and
we'd told this story before. You know how sometimes when
they do the weather segment on the local news on TV,
they'll send the weather guy out to the local park,
you know, like life from Central Park. Just's check out
the weather. Here's Alan Broker. And one year there was
a couple canoodling in the background behind the camera, just
(34:20):
walking by, and they were caught right there on National TV.
This guy, you know, cheating on his wife. She was
cheating on her husband and they were right there behind
Al Roker on National TV or Al Roker or someone
who cares, but it was someone. And then we know someone.
Speaker 5 (34:42):
There was a.
Speaker 2 (34:43):
Snowstar here in Jersey on the turnpike of one of
the gas stations. It was a blizzard. It was a
blizzard and he for some reason he had to pull
off the road with his girlfriend right yes, and because
the blizzard was blizzarded, blizzarding, And then of course there's
a camera from the local state channel four there and
then they're they're in the background like, oh my god,
(35:06):
oh god.
Speaker 8 (35:07):
I wonder how much this happens all the time, because
you hear about like Google Earth, when those those jeeps
are driving around with the vans driving around catching people
or cars and driveways, and I'm so interested to know,
like the stupidest way you got caught, like you did
not anticipate this at all.
Speaker 19 (35:21):
Well, in this case, it was snowing so hard and
they just wanted to get reaction off of people.
Speaker 4 (35:25):
Can you believe this?
Speaker 18 (35:26):
The roads are starting to call these are idiots out there,
and this person happened to be one of them.
Speaker 8 (35:30):
Can they just can we just do that with the
camera just approach people without telling them, Hey, you're going
to be on the news.
Speaker 19 (35:35):
They tell you right there, say hey, by the way,
we're live on god channels eight.
Speaker 4 (35:38):
Whatever.
Speaker 6 (35:40):
Did your friends duck and dodge out on the interview?
Speaker 2 (35:44):
Yeah that's not good.
Speaker 4 (35:45):
Yeah what up?
Speaker 7 (35:46):
Nate?
Speaker 9 (35:46):
Not advocating for this, Danielle. But if you are cheating,
how do you get away with it in public? Like
if I was going to do it, I would be.
Speaker 2 (35:58):
I'm not indicating you know what. You get away with
it because you're lucky. Because you know what, if you're
cheating and you're out in public at a cold a
cold Play concert or what a cold Play cold brew?
When is it with the cold brew concert? Or you're
going out to dinner at restaurants, there's a good chance
someone's gonna see you. It's it's like, oh, well, I'm
(36:18):
not gonna get caught, you know, because your ego is
too big?
Speaker 5 (36:21):
What it is?
Speaker 8 (36:22):
Maybe it's like it's so obvious if I were cheating,
I would never be out in public. That's the thought
behind it. So then you just go out and well,
actually you are caught, idiot.
Speaker 4 (36:30):
You all say, keep calm whatever the case. If that
it'd be cool. But if that camera just.
Speaker 19 (36:35):
Comes on you right there, you you have to you
flinch because you just it's a reaction that you're like,
you know, you're doing something like you're in headlights.
Speaker 4 (36:44):
But yeah, I know it may.
Speaker 8 (36:45):
It's flying practice.
Speaker 4 (36:47):
The thing is, I wear my emotions on my sleeve.
I can never do that.
Speaker 18 (36:50):
Don't do something stupid, but that way, you know, nowadays
and in this world that we live in nowadays, there's
cameras everywhere, there's people Instagram, there's the ttok, there's someone's
going to catch you somewhere.
Speaker 8 (37:04):
In fact that anyone gets away with it anymore.
Speaker 5 (37:06):
What do you go? Name?
Speaker 25 (37:07):
I got?
Speaker 4 (37:07):
Maria?
Speaker 2 (37:08):
I can't hear Maria was there? Okay, Maria, you were
at the Coldplay concert that's getting all this?
Speaker 11 (37:17):
Yeah, Hi, yes, good morning. I was there.
Speaker 2 (37:21):
It was insane if this was in This was up
in Massachusetts. Are you following cold Play to all the concerts?
What's your deal?
Speaker 14 (37:30):
No?
Speaker 11 (37:30):
I live in Massachusetts. I'm about an hour and ten
minutes west of Foxborough, so we were just there for
that one concert.
Speaker 2 (37:39):
All right, Well, while you were there, it was just
it didn't seem like it was anything that drastic, did it.
Speaker 12 (37:47):
No.
Speaker 11 (37:47):
But you know, as soon as you know, the camera had,
you know, shown a couple of different people up on
the jumbo tron and as soon as you know, panned
to that certain couple and they duck. Immediately everybody was like, oh, no,
something's going on. They were not supposed to be here together,
so we knew we knew it was going on.
Speaker 2 (38:09):
Right, So here's the thing. What's your what's your advice
for people who are cheating and go into Coldplay concerts?
Speaker 11 (38:17):
Well, I mean probably either you know, stay out of
the limelight or like you guys mentioned, act like nothing's happening.
You know, if had they not react in that.
Speaker 14 (38:28):
Manner, easier said than done.
Speaker 11 (38:33):
Yeah, well let me I guess.
Speaker 4 (38:36):
But you know the camera cuts to you.
Speaker 19 (38:39):
Your first instinct is you're like, oh, you have a
second half a second to react.
Speaker 4 (38:44):
Most people are gonna be like do what they did.
It's hard to do.
Speaker 3 (38:47):
It's the guilt between.
Speaker 2 (38:51):
Here's the thing. You well, you're very messy, and it's
gonna get messy er. We think, we don't know, we
don't know the full story yet. But you know, if
you're going to be cheating on someone and you're going
to go out in public. Just assume you're going to
be caught. Yeah, now, just assume because you're cheating, you're
cheating on someone. If if, if he indeed was cheating,
(39:13):
we still, like I said, don't know the full story,
but you're going to get caught. And to have that
ego to think that you can do something so crazy,
I mean and not get caught and hey, well yeah
it's that that. Well I'll never get caught because I'm
a billionaire. Okay, Well I.
Speaker 3 (39:32):
Need to kissed off.
Speaker 18 (39:33):
He didn't invite me to the Coldplay concert wife.
Speaker 3 (39:37):
I want to go see Coldplay.
Speaker 2 (39:40):
Yeah all right, well, Maria, thank you for listening to us.
I hope you have a great weekend. And uh, you
know wherever you're going next, we're bringing cameras, it sounds like. Anyway, Wow,
So that's the big story and it's going to continue.
It's going to continue to snowball today and you just
know it. Well again, it's the story we needed. I
hope it doesn't turn out sad though.
Speaker 14 (40:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (40:02):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (40:03):
Anyway, into the three things we need to know from Gandhi.
We do have a one thousand dollars free on the
phone tap on the way thanks to our friends at
Atlantis Bahamas. All right, Gandhi, you're up.
Speaker 5 (40:11):
What's up?
Speaker 6 (40:11):
All right, there's a lot happening.
Speaker 8 (40:12):
Plans to build northeast Florida's version of Alligator Alcatraz are
on hold. Governor Ron DeSantis announced this week that he
won't move forward with the plans to build an immigrant
detention facility at Camp Blanding in Clay County. He says
he wants to wait for the original Alligator Alcatraz to
fill up first. The facility in the Everglades can hold
up to four thousand detainees. Despite DeSantis's announcement, protesters are
(40:34):
still planning to rally at Camp Blanding on Saturday. The
nation's home builders are apparently cutting prices due to weakening
demand from potential buyers. According to a survey from the
National Association of Homebuilders, thirty eight percent of builders say
they cut prices in July, which is the highest rate
that they've cut since the association began tracking the metric
(40:54):
back in twenty twenty two. The latest data shows builder
confidence has now been in negative territory for about fifteen
straight months. So if you're thinking about building, this might
be a slightly better time for you. And finally, a
new technique is helping people with a rare genetic disease
have healthy babies. Scientists at Newcastle University in the UK
say that they're using a new treatment that involves using
(41:16):
the genetic material from three people, which prevents mothers with
mutations in their DNA from passing that condition on to
their children. The scientists say that the new IVF technique
has led to eight at risk babies being born with
no signs of the disease. Opponents of the procedure, however,
of course, fear that it could lead to more genetic
modification that always makes people nervous. And those are your
(41:38):
three things.
Speaker 13 (41:39):

I'm not breaking it. I never even broke it. How
could you? Why would you be talking to me like
this when I'm the one that was inconvenience this whole time.

Speaker 3 (45:36):
Okay because you oh, because what, I.
Speaker 14 (45:38):
Have no more patience for this. Why would I break
something that I need for my work.
Speaker 3 (45:43):
I know that a lot of people do that. They
break it, don't.
Speaker 14 (45:46):
So everyone does that. That's very rude. You're blaming me
and someone in my family. How good are you?

First of all, I'm recording this whole conversation. Good for you.
Speaker 14 (46:52):

but he now is rude.
Speaker 18 (47:00):
You're correct, don't you think that's pretty quick turnaround? That
I've already contacted you. I tried to fix the problem.
Speaker 14 (47:05):

Are you finished yet?
Speaker 14 (47:28):

Speaker 14 (48:58):
To deal with this lasting pisk Oh my god, you
it's insult you moreis I.
Speaker 3 (49:06):
Didn't insult you?
Speaker 14 (49:08):
Well, let's play about the conversation and let's hear your
prissy little attitude when you called me miss Pisswell.
Speaker 3 (49:14):
Maybe I'll just play it on the radio. Hey, Jackie,

Speaker 14 (49:17):

Speaker 3 (49:31):
I guess what I'm from. The Bronx.
Speaker 14 (49:35):
Can't tell me I'm from New York. Here we have
your attitude and excuse.
Speaker 1 (49:38):
To do that Elvis's phone top.
Speaker 2 (49:43):
I love the fact that Danielle had to point out
that she had the accent and she did much more
than yours. That was excellent. Thank you, Danielle. That was
your free money free trip. Phone tap, phone tap, Does
it make sense. Let's go talk to call them one hundred, Jasmine.

I was actually gonna call out today, but.

It's more reason to call out. Go spend your money, honey,
go out and have some fun.
Speaker 26 (50:34):

Speaker 7 (50:38):
To walk in so oh no, you're not.
Speaker 2 (50:41):
You know, until your your hand is on the doorknob,
you're not there yet.
Speaker 14 (50:46):

I'm sorry, that's wow.
Speaker 4 (52:03):
I'm from the Elvis Dran Show.
Speaker 2 (52:04):
Oh god mark the country's most popular tour.
Speaker 1 (52:13):
Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (52:15):
You can always text us at fifty five one hundred.
Here's a question for you, Danielle. Okay, So I know
Danielle sounds tough at all because she's from the Bronx,
But I'm curious. Has she actually thrown them hands in
her life?
Speaker 21 (52:27):
Well?
Speaker 18 (52:28):
I have, but it was only in defense. I never
started the issue. I was defending myself.
Speaker 6 (52:36):
What a sandwich? Was that defense or was that offense?
Speaker 3 (52:39):
What? What's it?
Speaker 8 (52:40):
Didn't you throw a sandwich at someone like a mcfish?
Speaker 26 (52:42):
Oh?
Speaker 18 (52:43):
That was defense, took They said something nasty to me. Yeah,
it was a fish file at McDonald's.
Speaker 3 (52:48):
What's it called mcfish? I don't know what it's called.
Speaker 4 (52:52):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 2 (52:54):
Here's the thing. My theory is, do they really have
those fileo fish ready to go?
Speaker 15 (52:59):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (52:59):
But that was the issue.
Speaker 18 (53:00):
So somebody came into McDonald's and what the thing was
is we always tried to make sure everything was warm
at the same time. So say the filal fish wasn't ready,
but the fries were ready, I wouldn't like servey your fries.
Speaker 3 (53:14):
I would wait, you know what I mean.
Speaker 18 (53:15):
So this guy walked in and he was really pissed
off that all his stuff wasn't ready, and he started
saying nasty things to me, and he's like, well, I
don't understand why my filale fish isn't ready yet. And
then he said like, you have such a hard job.
How hard is it to take it and put it
in a bag or something like that.
Speaker 3 (53:32):
And at that point I was like, listen, it ain't
just about putting it in a bag. And so we
had some words.
Speaker 18 (53:39):
I got taken in the back and had a conversation,
but I didn't hit him.
Speaker 3 (53:43):
I got taken in the back. He was a customer.
Speaker 2 (53:45):
All right, Well, if you're to walk in to McDonald's
in order of old fish, yeah, I don't think they're
usually ready I think that they're like, oh god, here's
another phone.
Speaker 3 (54:00):
I don't think it's the most popular thing on the
menu exactly.
Speaker 2 (54:03):
So they're like, got it put at.
Speaker 3 (54:06):
So you gotta be patient or someone's gonna throw a fish.
Speaker 2 (54:11):
I mean, isn't that like the ultimate sign of disrespect,
either throwing your shoe or a filet o fish at someone?
Speaker 4 (54:17):
That's worse than throwing hands, because he's just like, here,
here's some.
Speaker 3 (54:25):
I didn't throw it in his face. I kind of
just like tossed it at him.
Speaker 2 (54:28):
Good next time, get better aim. All right, So there
you go. She has thrown She has thrown them hands
in her life, not only in defense, but a fish. Donald,
Now we know what about you, Gandhi? Have you ever
thrown them hands?
Speaker 8 (54:42):
I have, But to Danielle's point, it was really only
defending myself or I intervened in a fight one time
and then somebody grabbed my ear ring, and then, you know, do.
Speaker 2 (54:52):
Not grab my earring? Yeah, do not? All right, let's
go around the room on the minds of those who
are in the room. Froggy is out today, by the way,
if you're wondering, he had a very special assignment in Jacksonville.
He will be back with us Monday, but we'll start
with scary, scary, what's on your mind today?
Speaker 19 (55:06):
You know, I'm eyeballing this Met game that's happening on
Wednesday coming up, and it's a one o'clock game. How
awesome would it be if we all just left here
from work and all gone over to the city field
and gone to a Met game?
Speaker 3 (55:20):
Let's go?
Speaker 4 (55:21):
Do you think we can do it?
Speaker 19 (55:22):
Coming around up a group? I go because it's such
a summer day. It's such a summer thing to do, Elvis,
and here we are in the dead of summer. I
don't want to put you on the spot.
Speaker 3 (55:30):
I can't see what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (55:33):
Daniel can't go. She's a Yankee fan. Thanks.
Speaker 3 (55:36):
I actually really do have a whole schedule that day.
Speaker 4 (55:38):
SAE, all right, but let's get a few of us.
Speaker 2 (55:41):
Danielle use, Danielle use the Yankee fan thing.
Speaker 3 (55:43):
That's more time, wouldn't go anyway?
Speaker 4 (55:46):
Yeah, So I mean I want to round up the
posse and let's go.
Speaker 2 (55:50):
No, well, okay, well we'll talk about it. I don't
I didn't know being put on the spot live on
a show is the way to do that, but we'll
get to that. I feel that that's my only outlet.
I used my around the road. It's only outlet to
say no, we're not going. So I don't know. I'm
thinking about it. I love going out. It's summertime. You know,
we'll see. I do have something on Wednesday anyway, So
(56:12):
what about you, Gandhi? What's on your mind today?
Speaker 8 (56:14):
I think it's important for all of us to make
sure that we have at least one, if not more
than one person or people in our lives who keeps
it real and tells.
Speaker 6 (56:22):
Us when we're being ridiculous.
Speaker 8 (56:23):
Because for the last couple of days, something's been grinding
my gears, and almost to the person, everybody I talked
about it was like, absolutely, you should be pissed, make
a big deal out of it, until I spoke to
my sister, who said, hey, take a seat, Mary, what's
the big deal here?
Speaker 6 (56:39):
And she got into why.
Speaker 8 (56:40):
She thought I was being a little dramatic and needed
to just back off and let people do what they
do and not worry about it. It was not the
hill to die on, and as irked as I was
for just a second, I was like, you know what,
that's what I need in my life. I need the
one person who tells me to take a seat, even
when everybody else is like, burn the house down.
Speaker 6 (56:59):
But it worked. He did a good job.
Speaker 5 (57:00):
What was it?
Speaker 2 (57:01):
Who was it? Give us names?
Speaker 6 (57:04):
How many names? Where I start? I will tell you
off the air, because I'm pretty sure.
Speaker 1 (57:11):
I'll tell you on the air.
Speaker 2 (57:12):
Okay, all right, what's up, Danielle?
Speaker 18 (57:16):
So yesterday I went to the Liberty Science Center with
my neck. Oh, it's such a great place, Gonda you.
I know you'll love it, so you have to go.
And we had the best day with my sister, my
mom and my sister's kids, and my sister's son is
going to second grade, her oldest, and he's so smart.
At the in the planetarium, he got every single answer right.
My mom got an answer wrong and he got it right.
Speaker 3 (57:37):
It was so funny. I was like, you just got
schooled by a second grader.
Speaker 15 (57:40):
Mom.
Speaker 3 (57:40):
Anyway, but he was in the bathroom, right.
Speaker 18 (57:43):
So you know, I take him into the ladies room
because I don't want him to go in the men's
room by himself. So he sees the paper towel roll
and the paper towel comes out and it says Scott
on the paper towel roll because Scott paper towels. And
he says, Aunt, Danielle that paper towel, says Scott. Does
that mean it's made in Scotland?
Speaker 3 (58:03):
But it was the cutest, most innocent question.
Speaker 18 (58:07):
And I know so like you know, we always just
say like kids just say the funniest things. And I
just I was dying laughing. The other people in the
bathroom were dying laughing because it was just so cute
and in is and you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (58:17):
Like he doesn't know made as I did. I said, yeah,
in Scotland. Shared No, No, I told him the truth,
told him that's the name of the brand.
Speaker 2 (58:24):
That's all is Irish Spring made in Ireland.
Speaker 3 (58:28):
If it's not, this is nonsense, I bet Andy would think.
Speaker 6 (58:30):
So can I Can I.
Speaker 8 (58:32):
Say thank you to Danielle for the shirt she brought me?
Thank you, daniel You're welcome from liberty science.
Speaker 2 (58:37):
Yes, let me let me see what.
Speaker 8 (58:38):
I'm just here for the reaction and it's test to.
Speaker 2 (58:41):
The scientific reaction. I love that. That is so Gandhi,
I see why you got it for her? Hey, producer, Sam,
what's up with you?
Speaker 15 (58:46):
Something that restores my faith?
Speaker 17 (58:48):
In humanity is whenever I see people helping out an animal,
And yesterday cookie happening. I was walking down Grove Street
where I live, and you just hear like this, bang
bang bang bang. A dog must have gotten scared and
was tied to a chair. So he is running down
the street with this metal chair still attached to him,
this poor thing, and there's just like five of us
(59:08):
coming from all angles to catch this little guy. He
got he got stuck, but I don't think he was hurt. Actually,
If anyone knows what happened to that dog, please let
me know. But it was great to see so many
people just rush toward an animal that was clearly in distress.
I know, yeah, please if you for real, if you
know what happened to that dog, messaged me. I think
he was okay, but the human just walked off embarrassed.
Speaker 15 (59:28):
So I don't really know for sure.
Speaker 2 (59:29):
How light was the chair, how heavy was the dog?
Speaker 17 (59:31):
This album thirty to fifty pound dog, and that it
was like a standard outdoor metal like bistro chair, you know.

full price. They're not a client. They did such a
great job.
Speaker 9 (01:00:15):

gone forty five years doing that crap myself. I hate moving. God,

the people like me, Just hire somebody.
Speaker 4 (01:00:28):
Hire somebody to do it.
Speaker 9 (01:00:30):
You hate doing it, nobody likes doing it. Just have
somebody do it for you. Trust me, it will be
that much bag. You will feel that much better about yourself.
I'm in Yeah, I'm with you.
Speaker 5 (01:00:40):

New Jersey state lawmakers are considering a bill that would
find or place in jail pair pants of a child
involved in a public brawl. The proposed law would find
parents up to one thousand dollars and give them possible
jail time for a neglectful supervision. Earlier this year, lawmakers
passed a bill that hands down a penalty for inciting
a public brawl. Violators face hefty penalties and up to
(01:05:16):
eighteen months in prison. The bill follows a violent Memorial
Day weekend in Seaside Heights where more than seventy people
were arrested and the boardwalk was temporarily shut down. Could
you imagine, Danielle, one of your kids gets in.
Speaker 15 (01:05:28):
A fight and you go to jail.
Speaker 3 (01:05:29):

Speaker 8 (01:05:34):
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and other company executives are settling
a lawsuit in an eight billion dollar privacy case brought
by a group of shareholders. The investors wanted Zuckerberg and
others at Meta and its social media platform Facebook to
repay the company for fines that had to be paid
out because they allegedly allowed continual violations of Facebook's user privacy.
(01:05:54):
In one instance, the Federal Trade Commission find Facebook five

with a twenty twelve privacy agreement signed in the fallout
from the Cambridge analytical scandal. And finally, tonight might be
a good night for skywatchers. The Media Shower will offer
skywatchers of view of what's considered the best meteor shower

than an average medior and are created by debris left
from the Swift Tuttle comet. The shower is expected to
begin actually kind of early this morning and last until
at least August twenty third, So you're going to have
some time, take some time, look up at the sky,

job a couple of years ago. He adopted a rescue dog,
(01:07:52):
Elko the Travel Dog, and his goal is to take
Elko the Travel Dog to over thirty five countries around
the world. His posts on Instagram are nothing but this
dog living, This amazing life with his amazing partner who's
just what happens to be there to feed him, and
you know by the airline tickets. But this dog is
(01:08:13):
going to every iconic UH tourist spot in the world
and climbing mountains and swimming in oceans. And what he's
doing with this dog and what this dog is doing
for him, I'm assuming is pretty muzy. I wish we
could get him on the show.
Speaker 8 (01:08:29):
Sure if we do, can we force him to bring
Elco with him?
Speaker 2 (01:08:33):
Of course? Well, I think Elco probably travels more than
most people.
Speaker 3 (01:08:37):
Take good in Paris with his Bereton, and here he is.
Speaker 2 (01:08:44):
I think he's looking at the pyramids.
Speaker 17 (01:08:45):
Here.

I liked Elcho at the zoo, being fascinated by the elephants.
Speaker 2 (01:08:51):
Amazing, so away on. So he's looking at a pyramid.
Actually that's the pyramid. It's a lover, so it makes
that up. Uh, it's a way on Earth. Follow this
guy away on Earth on Instagram and he'll capture your heart. Absolutely.
Let's get into Daniel's report that we have sound, with
Garrett coming up in a second. Danielle, you're up first,
going on.
Speaker 18 (01:09:10):
All right, you probably know by now, but on the
jumbo tron, the kiss cam at Cold Plays the concert,
it was a little whoops. There was a married CEO
canoodling with one of the company's hr employees.
Speaker 3 (01:09:23):
Yes, we saw them on the big screen.
Speaker 18 (01:09:25):
They panicked, he ducked, She just like put her hands
over her face, And of course Chris Martin responds on
stage with look at these two.
Speaker 3 (01:09:33):
Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy.
Here's what it sounded like.
Speaker 2 (01:09:37):
Oh look at these people.
Speaker 5 (01:09:39):
All right, come on, king, what you think. Either they're
having an affair, well they.
Speaker 2 (01:09:46):
Shut they were having a boy.
Speaker 18 (01:09:51):
Anyway. Supposedly, the CEO put out a statement saying that
he was sorry, he knows he made a mistake, but
his company is now saying that that's fake.
Speaker 3 (01:09:58):
It's not real. So you know, we'll see what happens.
We'll be following this for you.
Speaker 18 (01:10:03):
So Simon cow did it with One Direction, right, a
huge boy band. Well he's got a new docu series
that he's working on with Netflix. It's called The Next Act,
and apparently he is hoping to assemble the next global
boy band sensation, just like he did with One Direction.
So we're gonna get to see the six episodes of
this on Netflix in December.
Speaker 3 (01:10:24):
Also, Jennifer Lopez has been married.
Speaker 18 (01:10:26):
Four times, so recently at a concert a fan held
up a sign that said j Lo marry me, and
she started laughing and she said, yeah, no, i'ven't done
with that. I've tried that a few times, so it
doesn't look like a fifth time is on the horizon
anytime soon. Christina Applegate will release her very first book.
It's called You with the Sad Eyes. She decided to
(01:10:48):
write it when she was forced to slow down because
of her multiple sclerosis diagnosis back in twenty twenty one.
She said she's had this career on TV in film
since she was three years old, and she loved it,
but with MS, all the things I thought were important shifted,
and she said, for a long time it felt impossible
to find the meaning and everything I've been through. But
(01:11:08):
for the first time in my life, I've been able
to stop. I reflected, I wrote this because I truly
believe that books can make people feel less alone. I
promise it won't be some big violin scratching for my life,
but it will be real. So she's putting that out
March third of twenty twenty six. Starting next week, guys,
the subscription rate to stream Peacock without ads will rise
(01:11:30):
to seventeen dollars a month or one hundred and seventy
dollars annually. I think it's less expensive if you get
the subscription plan, which it usually is, so you know,
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:11:41):
And tickets for this movie.
Speaker 18 (01:11:44):
It's called The Odyssey, and Christopher Nolan is putting it out.
You know, he's an a time Oscar nominee. So these
tickets have sold out already at Imax theaters a whole
year in advance.
Speaker 3 (01:11:55):

Matt Damon and Hathaway, Tom Hollins and Deya Leapedoong Niongo,
Robert Pattinson, Charlie Tharone, they're all in it. And like

a lot anyway. So it's back this weekend. Are you
gonna see it? Well, we'll convince you to see it
(01:22:01):
when we speak to Jennifer love Hewitt coming up. I'm sorry,
was that funny?
Speaker 1 (01:22:06):
Elvis ran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (01:22:24):
And we say good morning to Jennifer love Hewitt.
Speaker 22 (01:22:26):
Hi, Oh my goodness. Can you guys do that every morning?
Speaker 23 (01:22:32):
That's amazing.
Speaker 2 (01:22:37):
Opening up your eyes and your bedroom and boom.
Speaker 5 (01:22:39):
There we are.
Speaker 22 (01:22:41):
Wow, that would be so creepy and amazing.
Speaker 2 (01:22:44):
I know, creepy and amazing, which describes, of course, I
know what you did last summer.
Speaker 1 (01:22:50):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (01:22:50):
You know there's so many Jennifer that, there are so
many genres of film. There's historical, there's a horror. We
use the word slasher. Is that okay?
Speaker 9 (01:22:58):
Is that?
Speaker 2 (01:22:58):
Is it offensive to be called you're a star of
this slasher film?
Speaker 4 (01:23:01):
Is that good?
Speaker 14 (01:23:02):
No?
Speaker 22 (01:23:03):
I think it's cool. It makes it like edgy.
Speaker 19 (01:23:04):
I like it.
Speaker 2 (01:23:05):
Yeah, right, But I know a lot of work has
gone into promoting the release today of I Know What
You did last summer, but something that Gandhi noticed in
the streets of New York City. You want to tell
Jennifer about this, ask her if it was her radio.
Speaker 6 (01:23:19):
Yeah, I need to know who the marketing team behind.
Speaker 8 (01:23:21):
This movie is, because they've got this dude out in
a rincoat with a black mask and a look chasing people,
actually slowly walking behind people down the streets of New
York City. Most of New York not phased, but other cities.
I was like, this could go sideways so quick.
Speaker 22 (01:23:38):
Oh my gosh, it's been so fun. They released a
Fisherman also like on the beaches here in LA and
people were like, legit, running for their lives. It was
awful but really funny. And you know what, they finally
got a little taste of like what I've had to do.
So it's it's okay, it's okay.
Speaker 2 (01:23:57):
I remember when the dark Man first appeared, Who are
asking who is this guy? Why is he doing it?
Then we found out, you know, it's because of I
Know what you did last summer. But again, you know,
it's seeing a guy with a hook running around New
York City. It's like it's a Tuesday.
Speaker 22 (01:24:09):
Yeah, Okay, that odd, right, it's fine.
Speaker 5 (01:24:12):
Yeah, there you go.
Speaker 2 (01:24:13):
So are you getting great response so far from people
that have seen it and are taken back to the
days when the first one came out? I mean, what
are the things you're hearing?
Speaker 14 (01:24:24):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 22 (01:24:25):
Well, first of all, everybody's screaming at me what are
you waiting for? Which I love. But it's been the
response has been great. You know, the film is really awesome.
It's like such a great capture of nostalgia from the
nineties and all the things that people you know, know
about it from the original, but also the freshness of.
Speaker 15 (01:24:43):
The new cast and all of that.
Speaker 22 (01:24:46):
It's it's been really fun. I mean, it's such a
trip twenty seven years later to be talking about this
movie again. But I really love it and I'm just
grateful to have been a.
Speaker 12 (01:24:55):
Part of it.
Speaker 14 (01:24:56):
Now.
Speaker 18 (01:24:56):
Your kids, I know, they're like, you know, they're not
all they're on the younger side. Are you letting them
see the movie?
Speaker 14 (01:25:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 22 (01:25:03):
So their first horror movie was the original, and then
they followed it up with the second. And my son
Atticus is like a horror movie guy. So they've they've
watched it and they really liked it.
Speaker 8 (01:25:17):
Do they have any tips for you on how to survive?
I mean, obviously you figured.
Speaker 2 (01:25:20):
It out, but.
Speaker 22 (01:25:23):
No, but they they they really do like they loved it.
They have not seen this one yet, the new one,
but I think they're going to see it and they
think it's really cool that I survive and uh and
that you know that Julie James keeps going twenty seven
years later. So it's made me. It's made me cool
in the house for five seconds.
Speaker 3 (01:25:44):
Yeah, isn't that the best?
Speaker 2 (01:25:46):
And by the way, a lot of spoiler alerts going
on here, your characters surviving saying oh.
Speaker 22 (01:25:51):
My gosh, oh no, no, no, I meant I survived
the first one.
Speaker 1 (01:25:54):
Yeah, so no, no, no, I.
Speaker 22 (01:25:58):
Give no spoilers. I spoil nothing for anyone. No, no,
I measured they thought it was cool. No, I know,
I'm not saying anything.
Speaker 11 (01:26:06):
I have to go.
Speaker 2 (01:26:07):
This has been great you guys, Oh no, oh no,
we're just getting warmed up with you, Jennifer jen Jennifer
Love Hewett as here we're talking about. Of course, I
still know what you did last summer. I know I
know what you did last summer, which is out today
twenty seven years later. I mean, if you go back
to see the original twenty seven years ago, I mean
it's I don't want to use the word hokey or
you know, back then the slasher films had that recipe
(01:26:29):
they use every single time you kind of anticipated things
about to happen. So the music they're playing this and
that has Has it evolved at all in twenty seven
years the slasher film or is it the same fun
way to do it?
Speaker 22 (01:26:41):
I mean, I think they're sort of like a rom com,
like you, of course know what's going to happen. I'm
that sort of the fun of it. I think that
the point is to see in what ways you can
sort of freshen the kill. For lack of a better word,
that sounds terrible, but you know what I mean, it'll
feel a little edge year. There's a great sense of
humor to them. This one that I think people are
(01:27:01):
going to really enjoy, Like it doesn't take itself too
seriously except in the moments that it's supposed to. And
uh yeah, I think I think people are gonna love it.
I mean what excites me about it is that the
moms who saw it the first time and loved Julie
James and love this movie. Are now like, you know,
giving their daughters popcorn money to go and see this one.
And I just think that's a trip. It's really fun.
Speaker 18 (01:27:22):
I love going to see this type of movie and
sitting there and like everyone in the theater goes.
Speaker 3 (01:27:26):
No, don't go in there, don't be stupid. You know
what's about that happen? Like everyone's yelling together.
Speaker 1 (01:27:31):
It's I love it.
Speaker 3 (01:27:32):
It's so much fun.
Speaker 2 (01:27:33):
Do you like that part? You if that happened in
any other film, you're being pissed off, But it's okay, Yeah,
this is to do that. And also, you know, for instance,
I need to go see Superman. I'm gonna go see
Superman by myself. But when you go see I know
what you did last summer, that's something you take all
your friends to see at the same time. It's a
group group ever and maybe a couple of cocktails.
Speaker 22 (01:27:52):
Yeah, don't see it alone. That's that's scary.
Speaker 2 (01:27:53):
Don't don't see it alone and don't see it sober.
We have rules.
Speaker 5 (01:27:56):
We have rules.
Speaker 2 (01:27:57):
Yeah, yes, scary had something and say what do you
want to say?
Speaker 19 (01:28:00):
It is scary, By the way, all these years later,
I still think it's really funny to go to family
restaurants with my four friends and put my name down
as Bailey just so.
Speaker 4 (01:28:07):
Look I can hear them call out daily party of
five over the laud speaker.
Speaker 5 (01:28:12):
Is charged.
Speaker 2 (01:28:12):
And if I'm with four of the people, I do
it every time.
Speaker 22 (01:28:14):
All right, Oh my god, this well, I I actually
do have a family of five, And so whenever I
have to say that the restaurant, it's always super embarrassing
because I like.
Speaker 2 (01:28:25):
It's supposed to be.
Speaker 22 (01:28:27):
So like, oh, she's that kind of actor.
Speaker 2 (01:28:30):
Okay, anything you can do to get it. So you
look back to twenty seven years for the original movie
to out and when you're in party five, this and that,
how in your eyes has the industry changed? Has it
changed in your mind for the better for the worse?
Is it about the same for you?
Speaker 22 (01:28:47):
I mean it's yeah, I think it's it's definitely changed.
It's definitely kind of gone in and out of different
phases and all of that. I mean, I truly just
pinched myself all the time that I'm still allowed to
be here, that they haven't figured out yet to kick
me out. So I'm super excited to still get to
do what I love and be here. I mean, the
one thing that I think is really cool about the
(01:29:08):
horror genre in general is that I feel like the
rest of TV and film sort of needed some time
to catch up on the fact that women can be
strong and badass and survive, you know, movies, and kick
butt or not survive and try really hard and you know.
But like girls in horror movies are just always kind
(01:29:28):
of kick butt, which I think is cool, and I
do think in other places in film and TV it
took them a while to realize that women could do that.
So I do love the horror movie genre for that.
They just always have had a lot of faith in
women being able to, you know, be chased and fight back,
which I think is cool.
Speaker 8 (01:29:47):
So, speaking of being chased and fighting back, how many
times do you actually have to scream during the filming
or do.
Speaker 6 (01:29:55):
They have it and they add it in later.
Speaker 21 (01:29:58):
So it's interesting.
Speaker 22 (01:30:00):
In the first two movies, I screamed all the time,
and I was always screaming, and then sometimes if there's
like a random noise or something, you'll have to go
back out and like a d R the scream again.
Later in this movie, we didn't actually catch it until
the first day that I was on set that there
was no scream for me in the movie, and I
was like, wait, I have to scream, Like I have
(01:30:22):
to come back twenty seven years later and like actually
do this. So we were trying to find like the perfect,
you know, places for that to be, and we found
a good spot that I think people it's like, it's
a fun moment, and so I think people will like that.
But the first things that I said to Chase when
I met her on this side is I was like,
(01:30:43):
how are you doing with this screaming? And she was like,
it's a thing. It's a lot, And I was like, yeah,
it really is.
Speaker 6 (01:30:48):
Yeah, I imagine you just blow out your vocal cords
doing that.
Speaker 22 (01:30:51):
Yeah, you do, you do.
Speaker 2 (01:30:53):
I can hear the promotion of the production meeting miss
Love Hewett is throwing a talent fit. She wants to scream.
Speaker 22 (01:30:58):
Yeah, you know right. That was like my one demand.
I'm my guys, I am not coming out of my
trailer until there's a scream.
Speaker 2 (01:31:08):
How fun. You know, every time we speak with you,
it's there's a smile on our faces because we can
hear it on yours. And today is the day. I
know what you did last Summer is out today. Jennifer
love Hewett. You will see and hear her screaming in
this film, and it's all because she's do a talent
fit and that's allowed.
Speaker 22 (01:31:24):
And will will I survive? Who knows?
Speaker 2 (01:31:26):
Who knows? We have no clue, but thank you Jennifer,
love you Wwett. We'll see you in the theaters this weekend.
And come see us when you're in New york'sop By.
We'd love to see you in perfect Yeah.
Speaker 22 (01:31:36):
Well, I love you guys so much.
Speaker 14 (01:31:38):
Thank you.
Speaker 15 (01:31:40):
Elvis Duran, he just keeps opening his mouth.
Speaker 8 (01:31:43):

you can venmo everything. Your favorite bands merch, you can

Speaker 12 (01:31:55):
The Venmo MasterCard is issued by the bank or bank
and a pursuit to license by MasterCard internationally incorporated, maybe
used everywhere.
Speaker 2 (01:32:00):
Master card is accepted. Alvista ran In the Morning Show,
Ladies and Gentlemen, Comedy Royalty has entered the room. Caroline Hurst, Hi, Carolina,
good morning. It's time for the twenty first, the twenty
(01:32:21):
first New York Comedy Festival. Of course, the world famous
Caroline from the world famous Carolines. Actually the world famous
Carolines came from the world famous Caroline the other way,
I ram Do you remember the very first New York
Comedy Festival twenty one years ago? How was it different
now then versus now? Because now it's gargantuan.
Speaker 21 (01:32:39):
Oh the span. I think we had maybe six headliners
for the first festival and it was Thursday, Friday, Saturday
and Sunday. And that was the extent of the festival.
But we've grown over the years. To us, Greg Charles
always says, it's over three hundred shows. Wow, we're finished.
That is amazing announcing Yes.
Speaker 3 (01:32:58):
I am one last year. I remember you did, and
you showed up like I feel like you show up
to a lot of the shows I do.
Speaker 21 (01:33:04):
I try to be all over.
Speaker 3 (01:33:05):
That's amazing.
Speaker 2 (01:33:06):
We're just gonna drive you insane traffic. Yeah, that's gonna
drive you insane. Caroline going to eat? Do you try
to make each and every show? There's no way you
can do that.
Speaker 21 (01:33:14):
No, it is no way I can do all of it.
But I catch somebody at the front of the show,
then at the back of the show, then at the
middle of the show, ran over to see Danielle's show.
But you were at our hub. You were at the
hard Rock Hotel, which is again the hub of the
New York Comedy Festival.
Speaker 3 (01:33:28):
Yes, and we did a charity show and we raised
a lot of money thanks to you guys.
Speaker 2 (01:33:31):
Yeah, yeah, let's talk about it. The twenty twenty five
talent lineup for the New York Comedy Festival. You're going
to give us. You're gonna throw a couple of names
out there and impressive.
Speaker 21 (01:33:41):
It's throughout like the Basement Yard, which will be at
Madison the Big Room at Madison Square Garden kind of
burn us back with us again. Michael Blaxon and Ryan
Long will be at the hard Rock and Don shows there,
which is the greatest little venue in New York. I
just love that place. Market shows back again, and Market's
an old favorite from Caroline S days of way way back,
(01:34:02):
and she'll be at Town Hall. Alex Edelman is going
to be at Carnegie Hall. He had a sold out
show on Broadway bringing him back. He's doing stand up
at Carnegie Hall.
Speaker 15 (01:34:11):
We've had him here.
Speaker 2 (01:34:12):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 21 (01:34:14):
Yeah, a Nurse John is great, John Nurse Jones back again. Yeah,
Johann Sponder Israeli comic that's coming to visit us at
Town Hall. And we have Strangers with Candy, Stephen Colbert,
Pulldnello and Amy Sdaris. And it's the twenty fifth year
of their cancelation of the show. Twenty fifth year of
(01:34:38):
their cancelation of Strangers with Candy on Comedy Central.
Speaker 2 (01:34:42):
Wow, oh wow, that was a long time ago.
Speaker 21 (01:34:44):
Yeah, Trevor Wallace. I mean, you know, there's something for everyone.
And then in the next few weeks or so, we
do a whole other announcement of all the other shows
that we're bringing out. So by the time we've finished,
it's over three hundred shows. Way a three comedians amazing
the city for ten days.
Speaker 2 (01:35:04):
Yeah, you do, and you do take over the city.
And we're talking about she just mentioned Carnegie Hall, the
Big Room at Madison Square Garden. I mean, all of
these venues are booked that week. Don't even try to
have a wedding any of these venues, because Carolina has
them all. This is the largest and longest running annual
comedy festival in the United States. It is and in
all these moving parts with now how many how many performers?
(01:35:26):
Over three hundred comics were involved in one week?
Speaker 21 (01:35:29):
Oh yeah, oh e sye. Over three hundred shows in
one week, over three hundred comedians in one week. Oh yeah,
it's it's it's it's it's really when you really do
the final count and Greg, this year we have to
do a real, real final count. It'll be up there.
It's where it's it's way, it's where everybody comes in
for this. We have panels, we have live podcast tapings,
we have brand activations going on. So we we try
(01:35:52):
to incorporate all different forms of how we can work
around comedy.
Speaker 2 (01:35:56):
Do we all agree that New York City is the
comedy capital of the world.
Speaker 21 (01:36:00):
I mean, yes, yes, yes, yes, of course of course.
Speaker 2 (01:36:05):
And uh, you know, like you go to Chicago, they
have the t he Hut or whatever it's called, comedy club,
a comedy club called knee Slappers Home. No, but New
York is bigger than LA. Hello? Is scary? Is trying
to say that LA is bigger than New York with comedy?
Are you go ahead?
Speaker 14 (01:36:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:36:24):
You're saying is that LA is a close second?
Speaker 21 (01:36:27):
It's a close second. I mean, it's the melting pot
of the world. It's where everybody comes, and everybody comes
from the United States too, because that old saying if
you can make it in New York, that's true, you
make it anywhere.
Speaker 2 (01:36:39):
That isn't rhyme. If you make it here, you're gonna
make it anywhere. Hey, So, Caroline, I mean, you, of
all people can answer this question, and it may take
a moment to put it together, maybe not. How has
comedy changed in these twenty one years you've been doing
this comedy Festival. I mean, I'm sure that it's changed
in a million different ways, but how do you see
(01:37:00):
it evolving? Well from your point of view, Well, you know,
we talk.
Speaker 21 (01:37:03):
About the greats. I think we were all part of
when I opened Caroline Set's over forty years ago. Those
were some of the greats. And then there was another
generation between that of the greats. And I'm hoping for
that next great generation and I hope they're there, you know,
to be really the old guard of comedy. You know,
I have the old guard as Jerry Seinfeld and Jay
(01:37:24):
Leno and Gary Shanlings and the Paul Rubens and the
Billy Crystals and now you know, I hope this generation
that we're now presenting can go on to do be
the greats like that old guard was, but the way
comedies presented. Look at what you know the Internet has done.
I mean, it's given everybody this great platform to get
(01:37:45):
their work out there, and that's really changed the game,
and it's built brands and with all of the new
streaming places to go to. You know, remember years ago
it was only HBO or Showtime where you had a special.
Now it's all over. Just make your own special and
send it out. It's like, it's very democratic how you
can get a following.
Speaker 2 (01:38:04):
A great example of Matt Rife is a good example
of friends.
Speaker 21 (01:38:07):
Yeah, and I hope that Matt Riyfe is a very
good example. And I hope that you know, the quality
stays there. We have the quantity, but we need the quality.
Speaker 6 (01:38:16):
Do you have your eye on anybody right now who
you think this is one?
Speaker 21 (01:38:20):
Well, this is a young gentleman who was in our
last year, Jamie Wolf that was in our what we
do every year is called New York's Funniest and he
was one of the gentlemen in that and he's really hilarious.
Speaker 2 (01:38:32):
Caroline Hirsch is here we're talking about the New York
Comedy Festival. Tickets go and sell by the way Monday
on Monday. The shows are going on in November. But
I'm I know for a fact, I have friends that
live in other cities. They come in every single year
for this comedy festival. It is a yearly trek to
New York City and you can't get away from it
during New York Comedy Week. I kid, you know, I
(01:38:54):
hear New York City. You see it everywhere, every sign,
every times Square turns into the many festivals Central. Let's
talk about somebody scary. And I were talking about this
earlier about how cancel culture kind of rolled in and
took a part a lot of comedians. Do you see
that reversing a little bit? Do you see it's okay
to be racy again and to understand there is humor
(01:39:15):
behind some things that can be offensive, You know what?
Speaker 21 (01:39:18):
I think? You know? Ali Wang once said it. She
had a quote which I will always remember. It's the
fine line of a great joke to make the point
of almost crossing the line but not And I think
that is the best comedy around. And she kind of
does that. But she said that in an article once
and I just said, wow, that she really pinpoint. It's
(01:39:40):
that best joke that you can get there. Don't cross
the line, but you get the point. And I've always
said that, and I think, look, I think when people
apologize they make mistakes, they were young, they were foolish,
they grow up, they apologize. I mean, we let them
out of jail. And I think that that's really what
(01:40:01):
needs to happen.
Speaker 2 (01:40:02):
So it's okay for me to whip out my danger
and just kind of if you promise to let me
out of jail, if you promise to let me out
of jail, I'm gonna do it right now here. Caroline, Caroline,
seen my d.
Speaker 18 (01:40:21):
Happen at a show like that where you had to
like apologize after the fact.
Speaker 6 (01:40:25):
No, no, no, no, no, not yet.
Speaker 8 (01:40:30):
No, Elvis hasn't taken the stage.
Speaker 2 (01:40:33):
I mean, Caroline, in all your years and owning the
world famous Caroline's I mean if they a lot of
times people go on stage to do something that would
make the press it was offensive, but that's not your responsibility.
That's on them. No one ever hold you responsible for that.
Speaker 21 (01:40:46):
No, we've had naked people on the stage. Yeah, we've
had that. Okay, Yeah, we've had naked people on the stage.
Speaker 8 (01:40:51):
You know, God, I feel like the last thing you
would want to get left at private parts.
Speaker 2 (01:40:56):
Yeah, scary. This is a great challenge for Caroline. Do
you want to do it?
Speaker 23 (01:41:03):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (01:41:04):
Okay, no, no, nothing bad of comedians, no pressure.
Speaker 21 (01:41:10):
Okay, Well okay, So then we have the o g.
We we have the Jerry Seinfeld's, the you know, the
j Lenos. Then we have the other generation. We when
we have the Bill Maher I got to Bill there.
Then we have the John Stewarts. Then we have the
Bill Burrs. Then we have the Trevoroa's Chelsea Handler. Sorry,
(01:41:34):
well yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:41:37):
How many four people a.
Speaker 21 (01:41:42):
New place?
Speaker 2 (01:41:44):
Come out to your house and.
Speaker 21 (01:41:45):
Create a new place.
Speaker 2 (01:41:46):
You got to come out to Elvis's house. He charges
five daughters to see the Mount rushmore of comedians.
Speaker 14 (01:41:51):
Why not.
Speaker 2 (01:41:54):
Get start a new thing.
Speaker 21 (01:41:55):
Maybe we should do that up in at the Comedy
