Speaker 1 (00:02):
Take me to Judge Chuck, crawl through the fog into
show me a gammel the way we're starters online Tay
gown June my.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
God, and he'll begin. Pa and church.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Take me to charge last time.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
What's going on their church?

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Heat?

Speaker 4 (00:21):
How you doing, Bud, I'm I'm my man, I miss you.

Speaker 5 (00:25):
Likewise Paul Charchim at Paul Charchi and via x Uh,
it's take me to church time weekly nine to noon
around eleven o'clock. Who are the fantasy place tonight? Jets
at Patriots?

Speaker 4 (00:38):
Well, there's you know, they're all on the Patriots side
for sure. This is uh, this is a bad Jets
defense that got worse obviously when they moved Sauce Gardner
and Quentyn Williams. So this should be should be a
lot of opportunities on the Patriots side. And Drake May
obviously Paul has been fantastic. If you want, if you
want your the first example of what would ultimately be

(01:02):
beny on just how important a coaching staff is. Look
at what has transpired in two seasons with the Patriots,
and how can you not give Mike f Rabel credit?

Speaker 3 (01:14):
Right?

Speaker 4 (01:14):
I mean, it's just this is a lot of the
same roster, and Drake May in year two has turned
into an MVP caliber quarterback. And that doesn't happen by accident,
and just the fact that we've we're seeing this from
Drake May's second best in completion percentage, which wouldn't mean
a lot except he's throwing the second longest passes in
the NFL and he's still second best in completion percentage.

(01:37):
He's been Drake May has been such, has been, you know,
arguably the most the most improved player in the NFL.
And what the Patriots are doing right now, I just
think a great testament to Mike Rabel and you know,
bringing in competency and experience at the head coaching position.

Speaker 5 (01:54):
Drake May is favored in a majority of not all
the betting chops to be the National Football League MVP.
I mean into the year or doing like you do,
you know, in March or April, getting those those sneaky
long futures. I mean, you probably could have got him
for MVP at thirty forty to one, right.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
Yeah, maybe more, Paul, maybe more, you know, and for
whatever it's worth, Sam Darnold was sitting at one hundred
to one when the season started, and now he's down
to like twenty to one. He's in this conversation. The
other thing with New England that nobody talks about it
not enough, although I think you know you and I
have talked it a little bit. Patriots run defense is
the best in the league. This is the number one

(02:35):
run defense by many metrics. Another huge turnaround, Mike Rabel.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
They get this.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
No runner has top fifty three yards against the Patriots
all year. No runner has scored against the New England
by air or ground since Week three. And they're gonna
be up three point two yards per carry opposing running backs.
It's it is insane. They are so good against the run.
It's gonna be another tough day for Breese Halt, much

(03:02):
like last week was. And this is going to be
is gonna be problematic for him tonight.

Speaker 5 (03:05):
And I'm taking a look at some Jets run defense
numbers here, Oh not great. Romandre Stevenson is out. Trevion
Henderson has gotten hot, but with the Ohio State rookie,
let me ask you this. He he he got off
to a slow start.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
It's about the only way to put him.

Speaker 5 (03:24):
And you know there were there were three players but
maybe two Stevenson and Henderson along with I think Gibson.
You know, they were kind of cutting carries. Did you
did a lot of people drop Henderson early in the
season because it was slow to go.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
Yes, and he was objectively bad for the first I
don't know five weeks of the season. He was getting
no run. They wouldn't put they wouldn't put him on
the field. His pass blocking was a disaster, and you know,
the runs just weren't going anywhere for Trevion Henderson. Then
Romandre gets hurt two weeks ago and it really forced
their hand. They had to give a ball to Henderson,

(04:02):
and he's responded with two good games, including last week, Paul.
He had the two long runs. Did you see what
he did on his second long breakaway run?

Speaker 5 (04:10):
Brilliant? Yeah, it's brilliant. He looked at the bench to like,
should I go down here or go in?

Speaker 4 (04:18):
Exactly, he's so far ahead of the defense he turned
his head back to his coaching staff mid run to
see if he should score the.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Touchdown or go down early.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
Unbelievable, unbelievable. The only knock on Henderson is I don't
know that he's a goal line guy. They tried running
him at the goal line last game. He got stuff
a couple of times. They've got another young kid most
people don't know, nam Terrell Jennings, who might be their
goal line player. But other than that, it's gonna be
really fun to watch this kid with a long run.
He had two of the four fastest runs of last week.

(04:50):
He had two different twenty one mile an hour runs.
This kid's a lot of fun.

Speaker 5 (04:54):
The Birch some really good games this weekend. Do do
you ever look at over under number to determine what
may be the highest scoring games and subsequently plug fantasy
guys in that way.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
A little bit?

Speaker 4 (05:08):
It's one of It's one of the things that we
look at, but it's not. I'm much more. I'm much
more I look at individual one on one matchups for
each player. But I think there is that it is
an indicator. And I'm gonna guess that you're going to
pivot over to Chiefs Broncos, two teams that do not
give up very many points. But I'm not sure necessarily
where you're headed with.

Speaker 5 (05:26):
This now, Chiefs Broncos. You like, what fantasy guys do
you use from that game?

Speaker 4 (05:32):
Well, this is going to be problematic because these are
two really, really good defenses, Paul. And here's where it
gets fascinating for Patrick Mahomes in particular. No, No, Patrick Surtan,
who won't play in this game, but we're not expected to.
Even so, the Broncos have been given up a passing
touchdown in the two games Certan has missed.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
Paul.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
Eight of ten opposing quarterbacks against the Broncos are thrown
zero or one touchdown. And if you look at what
Sean Payton Anti Vike has done against Mahomes, maybe he's
the anti Team two with Vance Joseph. Last year, Mahomes
one game against the Broncos two sixty six and one touchdown.
Two years ago when they played twice, Mahomes combined for

(06:13):
just one touchdown. Pass They've done a great job. And
this Broncos pass rush, Paul, potentially all time great. They
have fourteen more sacks than the next closest scheme, and
the pressure rate for the Broncos right now is the
highest in the next gen era. They're at the forty
three percent pressure rate, Paul. It is it's staggering levels

(06:38):
of awesome pass rush that the Broncos have got and
If the Chiefs lose this, that's their run of winning
the AFC West is effectively over. Paul, I don't see
I don't see a way where they make back four
games on the Broncos and get past the Chargers if
they lose this game.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
All right, let me ask you this charge.

Speaker 6 (06:55):
So you just went down the road on the Chiefs
and how difficult it will be for them A mile
high Russhi Rice, we know what he can do versus
an AJ Brown, who's out there with Philly ask and
get like, Hey, if you have me in fantasy, just
dropped me now because it ain't gonna work. Like if
you like, who do you have more faith in Rushi
Rice or a Xavier Worthy getting into the end zoneer

(07:18):
aj Brown this weekend, given what he said and how
things have gone.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
This AJ Brown thing is amazing, you know. So he
played Madden on Monday night on Twitch. So he played
at least one whole game, and over the course of
that time, he described his own team as an s show.
He at one point through the ball he's playing as
the Eagles. He threw the ball to himself in this
game of Madden, and he said that's the only positive
I got was thrown to himself in Madden and that

(07:45):
he said, if you got me on fantasy, get rid
of me. You know, we've talked about the sabotage drop
on Fantasy football weekly for years. It's the boldest of
fantasy football moves, totally incompatible with the innate cowardice of
ninety five percent of fantasy managers. This is where you
out right drop a big name but frustrating player, hoping
somebody else picks that guy up and then it's their

(08:08):
problem now. And that's what AJ Brown is saying. He
said that we should sabotage drop him now. So let
me ask you two. Would you drop if you had
AJ Brown on your team? Would you comply with his
request and drop AJ Brown?

Speaker 3 (08:24):
Well?

Speaker 6 (08:24):
I have AJ Brown on the team, and I also
have Rashid rice chart, which is secretly why I asked
the freaking question. If you don't, well the way Paul
laid it out, if you don't drop AJ Brown, you're
a coward.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
I'm a coward.

Speaker 5 (08:36):
Or you know, in a world where all of a
sudden they're like angle related, subterfused things taking place in
pro sports, we'll just leave it at that. Maybe Aj
knows he's a major part of the game plan the
rest of the way. He wants his foes to drop
him in leagues so his dogs can win.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
Oh, I like that.

Speaker 4 (08:58):
I like that angle. Here here's why I wouldn't drop them.
And it's not cowardice. Lions, Cowboys Bears coming up next
three games. Their rank against wide receivers for fantasy points
allowed twenty seventh, thirtieth and dead last, respectively. Lions, Cowboys, Bears.
I just think you know a lot of times. Well again,

(09:19):
I'll throw it back to YouTube. For players at AJ
Brown's level, the squeaky wheel oftentimes gets greased. If your
offensive coordinator, Kevin Patulo, your job is on the line,
do you pull levers to get Aj Brown the ball more?
I think squeaky wheel gets fed here. What do you think?

Speaker 6 (09:36):
I think it does too, And I think you primetime
at the Kitties and an opportunity or home against the Kitties.
I should say, given what has transpired in the fervor
around it, there's a ton of tension. Like Philly tough
fan base, and they win a lot, but they constantly
I wonder how much of this is manufactured charts where
in a way. You have disgruntled stars, you have some negativity.

(09:58):
Maybe some of it's overblown, some it manufactured inside the building.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
I lean towards the squeaky wheel getting greased on Sunday night.

Speaker 4 (10:07):
I think so too. I think so too. And Kevin
Patula's got to He's got to figure this thing out
or it's going to be just like Brian Johnson was
three years ago, where they're gonna it's gonna be a
one indunant offensive coordinator because it's mostly the same offense
that got the Eagles to the Super Bowl last year
personnel wise, and they look absolutely different and so much

(10:28):
worse right now. I think they got they have to
get their superstars the ball. And you know, maybe we're
just tainted because we saw what they could do against Minnesota,
but they got to they got to work harder to
get aj Brown the ball. And I think it starts
on Sunday night.

Speaker 6 (10:40):
Hey, charge one one left in the division before we
get to Vikings Bears maybe for one and two Jordan Love,
you know, they just come off the lost. Speaking of
the Eagles, you know, any anybody other than Josh Jacobs
are you looking at You know, we're low sample size
without Tucker Craft and very discombobulated unit the other night.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
What do you think about Green and Gold.

Speaker 4 (11:00):
It's going to be all Josh Jacobs in this game
against the Giants. Their run defense is awful, their Giants
pass defense is pretty good. So it's going to be
a lot of Josh Jacobs and they want to settle
down Jordan Love, and I don't blame him. I think
it's going to be a low volume, quiet efficient game
for Jordan Love to just try to restabilize him and
build some confidence. These last two games have been terrible

(11:22):
and there with all Elton Jenkins and I know you
two both know that he's one of the best centers
in the league.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
He's good.

Speaker 4 (11:28):
Losing him is he is, That is a major loss.
They use a guy named Sean Ryan who's going to
try to fill in for him. He got benched earlier
this season at guard and now he's the starting center.
So I think it's just going to be it's going
a game that's just set up perfectly to be all
Josh Jacobs here and just try to rebuild some Jordan Love.
But let me mention this about Love, and I don't

(11:49):
think this is too fantasy centric, But you tell me
sooner or later you need your quarterback to throw touchdowns
and get points. And I don't think it's too fantas
related to say Jordan Love, over his last twenty games,
has thrown zero or one touchdowns in thirteen of the twenty.
I mean, just eventually, doesn't your quarterback, especially if you're

(12:11):
the second highest paid quarterback in the league, don't you
have to just get points on the board at some point?

Speaker 5 (12:17):
Yeah, yeah, that's a that's a that's a phenomena that
Nine to Noon did not know. Bears Vikings, which Bears
do you like this weekend against Minnesota?

Speaker 4 (12:30):
I think they're going to employ a run heavy approach
here against Minnesota. DeAndre Swift and Kyle mcnungui have turned
into freaking terrors.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
Now.

Speaker 4 (12:37):
I don't know, I don't know if Viking fans are
following this very closely, but Ben Johnson is basically found
is new Jamiir Gibbs and David Montgomery stylistically not exactly
the same, but this one two punch has been great.
If since the Bears Week five by DeAndre Swift is
running its six and a half yards per carry, Kyle

(12:57):
mcnungui at five point eight yards per carry, and we
are going to see a concerted effort to make sure
that Caleb Williams does not give the game away against
the Vikings defense that has has historically put him into.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Some bad spots.

Speaker 4 (13:16):
So I just I think you're going to see a
ton of swift and menung guy in this game. Paul,
how do you see this shaping up?

Speaker 5 (13:22):
I agree they're going to one to eighty five per
over the last five Yeah.

Speaker 6 (13:27):
Last thing for you really here charts is on our
side of the things, how much trust do you have
and put in a group like a Jefferson or in
Addison out there's seven catches on twenty three targets?

Speaker 2 (13:35):
Is it better this weekend?

Speaker 3 (13:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (13:39):
You know, we're still starting JJ for sure.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
The uh you know.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
And I like the fact that we've gotten nine and
I think twelve targets to JJ last two weeks, which
is which is helpful. Obviously the learning curve is is
not perfect right now for JJ McCarthy. But this is
a bare secondary that could be missing, and you alluded
to this last segment could be missing. Cornerback one, cornerback
two definitely out, and cornerback three if Tyreck Stevenson isn't

(14:06):
able to play. They're out there starting cornerbacks one, two,
and three. That should provide a lot of advantages for
the Vikings. They're getting killed in the slot in particular, JJ,
Naylor and Addison can all run from the slot and
that can be a bonus as well. So I'm you know,
we're gonna be cautious with the Vikings. With the Vikings offense,

(14:26):
but and and their bears run defense has turned out
has gotten a lot better as well. But I think
the way that you're going to see the Vikings attack
here is going to be is going to be through
the air if they're missing three cornerbacks.

Speaker 5 (14:35):
Thanks, my brother, have a wonderful day. Best of luck
this weekend. All right, Love you guys, talk to you
in a week but back love you too. Each and
every Thursday, about eleven o'clock Fantasy Fantasy.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
First with Pa and Chart Nor do buy our side.

Speaker 6 (14:49):
Hey we got this now the fan along with two
men in a junk truck want to give you a
shot at some bonus bucks with the National Cash Contest.
This hour's keyword is money. You might make some money.
With the keyword money. All you gotta do enter. The
keyword at KFA n doc.

Speaker 5 (15:03):
Is Alan Roach and at mile high roach is where
you can follow him via x if you are so
inclined nine to noon does we hope you will too?

Speaker 2 (15:12):
And the box joins us.

Speaker 5 (15:14):
Now he'll be on the microphone for the Bears this
weekend with a noon boom at US Bank Stadium. Alan,
welcome to Welcome to nine to noon. How are things.

Speaker 3 (15:25):
Good morning, Pa. I'm just working on my aimin ogbung
amiga pronunciation this morning.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
Yeah, how do you say it again?

Speaker 3 (15:37):
That is aimin.

Speaker 5 (15:40):
Yes, And and he's quite the special teamer. So from
what I hear, so that that that could hit the
US Bank Stadium airwaves from a mile high Roachy this
weekend for sure. Back to last weekend for a second,
Alan the uh the offense was introduced when Aaron the

(16:00):
Aaron Jones introduction, he runs out carrying the American flag
and into the arms of his mother and Aaron had
no idea she'd be on the field for that moment.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
It was a very touching moment, wasn't it.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
Yeah, And you know, touching for all of us watching
that you know knew it was coming, but imagine how
Aaron Jones felt in that moment. You know, he you know,
he talks about his mom and his family all the time,
so the love that he has in the relationship that
he has with his mom. When you know, kind of

(16:37):
the crowd cleared at the end of his runway and
he saw his mom standing there in the military Viking jacket,
I'm sure that was incredibly special. And then you know,
it was I think later on in the first quarter
that they recognized during a TV timeout Aaron's mother and
what she has done in her military career, and then

(17:01):
we welcomed her as she stood on the corner of
the end zone with her family. Well, Aaron Jones ran
off the sideline and ran down to the end zone
to join them in that moment too. So really a great,
a great family thing. And you know, Showtime is just
such a class act.

Speaker 5 (17:18):
So I'm guessing Defense introduced this weekend, which means if
that's the case, I mean, I've Harrison Smith's two hundred
regular season game.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
He's either going to be first or last, right, Yeah, I.

Speaker 3 (17:31):
Wonder if that will make the introduction. I assume Hitman
would be last. And you know, I only I only
say what's written in front of me. So it's very
possible that the last name will be and starting his
or playing in his two hundredth NFL game. Is it
starting his two hundred NFL.

Speaker 5 (17:51):
Game, playing in his two hundredth regular season game, playing
in Yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:57):
That may make the introduction and we'll see.

Speaker 5 (18:00):
Well, hip man make the introduction or is it just
Harrison Smith.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
You know, I've never done much with nickname. I do
nicknames every now and then during a play call, and
a lot of that, I'll be honest, is precipitated by you, Pa,
and hearing all of your great calls on the radio
for years, and how exciting it is when you know
you whether it's the greatest running back in NFL and

(18:27):
he's loose and you know he's JJ, and all those
nicknames that you throw out in the course of your call.
I hear how exciting that is. So I've emulated some
of that, and I throw out the nicknames during during
gameplay that I haven't done it during lineups.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
Well, that's sweet and that's kind of you.

Speaker 5 (18:45):
But but where I find it to be moderately let's say,
duplicitous or moderately different than what you do with ball Arena.
Then how come when you introduce Nathan McKinnon you always
say number whatever. Nathan better than Wayne Gretzki. Ever was
mauck kennon?

Speaker 3 (19:07):
How about that team? They're eleven to one and five.

Speaker 5 (19:09):
Yeah, they're unbelievable, right, And you know I was the
Wild host your beloved Aves the Friday after Thanksgiving, and
so I went to look into the schedule. I'm like, damn,
that'd be really cool if Vox could come in a
day early take in that game at in Saint Paul.
Then you know, maybe we get together on a Saturday

(19:30):
night and have some fun that way with Hartbur and
some other people and not to bug each other. And
then the next day you got a game. But actually
the Vikings will be at Seattle. But what's strange here
is is, Okay, the Avs are here day after Thanksgiving.
The Wild don't go to Colorado until February twenty sixth
of next year.

Speaker 3 (19:50):
That's crazy, wow, So they'll they'll privee is it three
games that we play home and away? Ors are just
two home and away. You know they'll be here in
February and again in April or March. So hopefully the
wild are in a position where those games have lots
of postseason implication.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
Were all those false Yeah?

Speaker 3 (20:12):
I can tell you this. The secret for the Avalanche
this year is get them to overtime. Really, they've played
five overtime games and they've lost all five.

Speaker 5 (20:22):
Yeah, that's the secret for our team, too, beloved Box
of All Boxes ever to box Alan Roach at Mile
High Roach via Twitter? Were all those false starts working
on your last nerve?

Speaker 2 (20:32):
Box?

Speaker 3 (20:35):
Yeah? It was a great listening to k Fan on
Monday and basically every show replaying each one of those
eighth fall starts and hearing you and the analyst stuff
in the booth. And although I don't get to say
those things out loud, I was certainly saying them to

(20:56):
the room around me. It was how was this happening?
Why is this happening? What is going on? We would
be winning this game if we weren't doing this stupid.

Speaker 5 (21:05):
Stuff the the and I don't feel this way about
every game, but it's kind of hitting me hard on
this one. I not only fully expect the Vikings to
win the game, I don't know how it's going to happen.
I don't know if it's going to be close blowout
or whatever. O'connells six and one lifetime against the Bears
area beat him once this year. It's the bounce back
off the abnormalities of losses. And you got that bad

(21:29):
Chargers game Atlanta here Sunday night football sky Yu mah
Roachi's all fired up for that game. We don't score
a touchdown. And then in the Baltimore game, what's abnormal
close game, we're minus three in the take give with
those eight fall starts. So the team just bounces back
from from those types of games incredibly. Well, I think

(21:50):
they should win this weekend.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
What do you think?

Speaker 3 (21:53):
Yeah, we've seen a time and again the bounce back.
And I think you can attribute, you know, that bounce
back obviously to the coaches and the game planning that
goes into it. Also, you know what they like to
talk about, the the in the locker room. What I
can't think of the word that is so the culture

(22:16):
in the locker room. And so for those veteran players
that bounce back, I think they're more used to that
or more able to dig deep and grab onto that.
But for our quarterback, you know, yep, we can say
it's a bounce back, but I think for the quarterback,
it's still just learning. Every day is learning, every play

(22:40):
is learning. And I don't know that you can count
on a rookie quarterback to quote unquote bounce back. But
hopefully we can just count on our rookie quarterback to
to get better every play every quarter.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
I'm not dumb.

Speaker 5 (22:55):
I'm not a big video game guy, but every so
often I'll play Madden with my son, Derek Allen.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
Is the box of all boxes ever? To vox?

Speaker 5 (23:03):
Also, and is it Madden twenty five or twenty six?
Madden twenty five?

Speaker 3 (23:07):
Right? I think the game that's out now would be
called twenty six.

Speaker 5 (23:13):
Yeah, that's what I think. Yeah, But it's it's so beautiful.
Like if one of us plays the vikings and we
turn up the sound when the vox is saying something,
you put a little more umph into those vikings names
in the old EA Sports Madden twenty six, don't you.

Speaker 3 (23:30):
That's a good time Every year is sitting down with
those EA Sports guys. I've done it now, I don't know,
probably ten years. Yeah, And every now and then they'll
say that to me too during the voiceover recording. Is
you know I think he had a little extra on
justin Jefferson there, Why don't you give me one that's
a little more monotone?

Speaker 5 (23:48):
Hey, Alan, seriously, though, how long does that take? You know,
with you got thirty two teams? Like, how long does
that take? And what do you do for EA Sports
when you're voxing a Madden game?

Speaker 3 (24:00):
The very first year that I did it again ten
or twelve years ago, was probably thirty hours of recording.
Certainly not all in a row, but each year just
because of technology and what they're able to do with
computers and sound. Each year, basically I just need to

(24:21):
do rookies, the guys that get drafted, and whether it's
offense or defense, just each name for whatever it is
that they might do, catching a pass, making a tackle.
Players that change teams in the off season don't really
need anything. The computer system itself can correct all of

(24:43):
that and put the right team name with the player.
So each year there's probably I don't know, three or
four hours in June to get ready for the release.

Speaker 5 (24:54):
Yeah, but I mean hopefully they're not cutting that number
for the mailbox money like it used to be a dollar.
Now it's sixty five cents because they got computer generated names.

Speaker 3 (25:05):
Well, I can't give away any of my secrets. Let's
say a couple of years ago. Yeah, that was the
deal was. You know, when we started, we decided we're
going to pay you X amount of dollars. Well, you're
doing like one fifth of that work now, so we're
going to cut that down to one fifth. And oh good,
I said, Hey, No, the point is you're getting me
in your game. Doesn't that worth something?

Speaker 2 (25:26):
Amen?

Speaker 3 (25:26):
Yeah, no, it's not.

Speaker 5 (25:27):
Hey, you know, I'm sorry about what happened on Monday
because I know it was greatly troubling to you.

Speaker 2 (25:33):
Have you bounced back.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
Okay on Monday? Please remind me.

Speaker 5 (25:38):
Yeah, the Packers loss, and the Packers lost, and I
know that always greatly troubles you out Red Rocks away.

Speaker 3 (25:46):
What was the staff that I just heard from Church?
I only heard the end of it that in the
last twenty games, there's been like sixteen games where Jordan
has thrown only one touchdown or none. There's what's numbers?

Speaker 5 (26:01):
Do you thirteen games zero or one touchdowns out of
the last twenty Holy cow?

Speaker 2 (26:08):
Wow, that was shocking, all right, my brother.

Speaker 3 (26:12):
Yeah, it's always a good day when the Packers lose.
And of course, it's a much better day when you
get the double whammy.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
Slayton, Slayton, Minnesota, go crazy Red Rocks.

Speaker 3 (26:24):
Oh, by the way, Slayton Minnesota is in the US
Benk Stadium on what's Saturday morning? What Murray County Central do? Rebels?

Speaker 2 (26:34):
Yeah, go Rebels, go rebell.

Speaker 5 (26:36):
I mean, why don't you should fly in and box
it in the name of Murray County and Slayton.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
I am boxing the outdoor gate messages telling people welcome
and where to sit, and I am flying in early.
I'll be in attendance at that game, but not working.

Speaker 5 (26:52):
Right on my man. I can't wait to see you
this weekend. Save travels.

Speaker 2 (26:56):
Thanks for the time, Thank you, Pa, school Byke see you.

Speaker 3 (27:00):
But that's a.

Speaker 5 (27:01):
Roachy Alan Roach at Mile High Roach VX voice of
US Bank Stadium. He is the vox of all voxes ever,
the vox, and we love him. Our final Thursday segment,
isn't it.

Speaker 1 (27:16):
I can't wait.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
I can't wait until tomorrow. Go tomorrow mine very well
be truly can't wait for tomorrow nine and noon. Can't wait.
I can't wait. I can't wait until tomorrow.

Speaker 5 (27:33):
Buffalo Wild Wings Lake Field for the Feast. Tomorrow is
the Friday Football Feast, be A Nordo and young Alec.

Speaker 3 (27:44):
Man.

Speaker 5 (27:44):
We got some we got some nice sweet tricks up
our sleeves for tomorrow. Let's preview it for a little
bit here, just about a minute and change, and I
have a question to ask the co hosts of the
Friday Football Feast, Nordo and Alex Lewis. Alex joins, Now,
what's going on there? Alex Lewis from the athletic how

(28:04):
are you?

Speaker 7 (28:06):
I'm great, Pa, I'm getting ready to go to the facility,
going to try to get to get a bite to
eat and then hop out there for practice. I'm not practicing,
but I'm gonna watch it, you know.

Speaker 5 (28:14):
Okay, Well, Joe, quick question off that because Nordo hit
me with it earlier and I just kind of guessed
with McCarthy and this hand thing and comes up limited
on the practice report at the end of the equation.
Nothing to see here, right, It's.

Speaker 3 (28:31):
Not nothing to me.

Speaker 7 (28:32):
It is not nothing to me.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
He had the bandage on.

Speaker 7 (28:35):
But I'll be very curious today when we're out there
how much he's using the right hand. If you know
how much we're seeing under center snaps. I would just
say it originally I was with you, and then I'll
just say, after doing some due diligence, I'm not totally sure.

Speaker 3 (28:52):
It's not nothing.

Speaker 5 (28:54):
Okay, Well that's great, thank you much about which to
chat at the feast tomorrow Buffalo Wild Wings, Lakeville. I
have a respectful request I would like to make of
the two of you. You're not going to like me
for it, and we will see if you acquies or
if you push back. Are you guys ready ready? Are
you about to give us homework?

Speaker 2 (29:15):
No, here's the deal.

Speaker 5 (29:16):
You know we have that I hop segment in honor
of Paul as in Paul Charchian.

Speaker 7 (29:22):
I would never forget it.

Speaker 3 (29:23):
Of course.

Speaker 5 (29:23):
The fantasy football segment, well, we have quarterbacks tomorrow and
just you know, by fate, the way things worked out
last week, the one that I selected, Jonathan Taylor, got
eighteen points and he had three touchdowns, and I already
was in first. So I've pulled away by a little
bit from you guys. It's like fifty four for me,

(29:45):
twenty eight for the con twenty two for Alec. So
here's my request, if you guys don't mind, okay, because
it's Friday.

Speaker 2 (29:55):
We do this.

Speaker 5 (29:56):
There's a game tonight. I'd like to take Justin Fields.
Come on, here's the day.

Speaker 2 (30:06):
Yeah you can.

Speaker 5 (30:07):
No, The answer is no, thanks, But I just want
to put the I hop part of the equation with
me on a heat check. I just want to see,
indeed how hot it is. So I'd like to take
Justin Fields tonight in the touchdown only bit uh, alec,
Are you.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
Cool with that?

Speaker 3 (30:27):
Yeah, that's fine.

Speaker 7 (30:28):
Do you get rushing and passing touchdowns?

Speaker 3 (30:30):
You?

Speaker 7 (30:31):
It's a Thursday night game and it's gonna be.

Speaker 6 (30:33):
The greatest game. Justin Field, I was thinking passing. I
was thinking passing. That's a what do you think you're
gonna get six for the feet? You're gonna have four
for the passing. I see that the feet make more
sense to me than the passing does with this situation,
So I would I would personally lean towards No, I
will go, I will yield the floor, and I will

(30:55):
I'll co sign on whatever Alex says. I'm out on it, though,
And see the reason I brought it up ally because
you're getting cocky now, was simply from a heat check standpoint,
to see how hot these mindless picks are and I'm like, well,
then the worst one potentially available of all the games
plays tonight, right, and I'd like to take him just

(31:18):
to see what the heat check, you know, how the
heat checks out.

Speaker 3 (31:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (31:22):
Well, I was gonna say, first of all, I'm okay
with it because I think justin fields against the Patriots
defense is a losing battle. But I thought what you
were gonna say is you were just gonna go ahead
and stamp Jak McCarthy to use your heat check power
on that. Like that's where I thought you were going
to go.

Speaker 6 (31:40):
That's not a bad idea. Actually, he's manufactured. I mean
in the two wins. If you think they're going to
beat the Bears, he manufactured what three tds in each
of those victories.

Speaker 7 (31:48):
Yea, I will say. I will say Nordo went with
Jordan Mason last week. Yeah, so I'm not sure we
men might not have the touch with that.

Speaker 6 (31:56):
So all right, Well, the fields bets off, but the
rest so the stuff is on, And I'll see you
tomorrow Buffalo Wild Wings Lakeville for the Friday Football Feast.
We'll talk about Hitman's two hundreds regular season game, McCarthy's
wounded hand, and a lot more.

Speaker 2 (32:13):
Can't wait to see you tomorrow.

Speaker 7 (32:16):
You two p I see you guys and enjoy tonight's game.

Speaker 2 (32:19):
And if Justin.

Speaker 7 (32:20):
Field goes on, I mean, I don't know now. It
just adds a layer to this thing. So I'll see
you guys soon. Looking forward to.

Speaker 6 (32:27):
Thank you, Bud Alex Lewis you were getting talking about it,
I was not. I'm three in with dont no. It's
like like, I mean, say like I and we don't
play slots, okay, but say we went and played a slot, right,
I'll put one hundred dollars into it and bam, it
hit for twenty five hundred. Oh nice, And I'm like, okay,
I got this nice fat voucher. We'll put it in

(32:47):
the machine next to it, yeah, and then hit the
button max for a dollar machine whatever, and it hits
again for like, you know, fifteen hundred.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
Sure. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (32:57):
Well then I would go find another machine and say,
all right, well here's the heat check. This is a
five dollars machine, and I'm going to play five consecutive
times maximum amount you can hit for.

Speaker 2 (33:08):
The heat check.

Speaker 6 (33:09):
That's true, not for the cockiness the heat check, but
it's all for not now well that the heat check
would be tomorrow. Again, you're you're running away with this.
You're trying to intentionally sand bag it so that Alec
and I can get more back into this thing, and
so you don't get disinterested in three weeks for it
the best and the heat check would be you take
Purdy or mac Jones into the weekend or at Jakobe

(33:31):
Brissette or something like that, not knowing. You know, on
the one side of either our going to play, I
got it, and on the other side you got a
guy Marvin Harrison's out the team's falling apart in Zona.

Speaker 2 (33:41):
That would be a little bit of a heat check.

Speaker 6 (33:43):
Yeah, because then it's just everything you touch turns to
gold from a fantasy perspective. So yep, I think I might.
I might have to pick JJ tomorrow. I might have
to pick JJ McCarthy. You got the second pick, so
it works. Great job today.

Speaker 5 (33:58):
Thank you very much for listening to everybody, and Buffalo
Wild Wings Lakeville tomorrow for the feast. If you would
like to join Alex Lewis, Nordo and yours truly, Paul Allen,
have a wonderful day. May God bless all of you
and your families, and here comes big Daddy Khan with
that patented wrap on the show.

Speaker 2 (34:15):
Jiff Lessen, jiff Lesson. The game is over. Now what
did I do wrong? Good stuff?

Speaker 6 (34:25):
You didn't ask and maybe nobody cares. But I feel
like McCarthy runs it up on the Bears. I got
this whiplash from the up and down starts. Maybe I'm
just a roobe and throwing darts. But despite all the
bad vibes and derision, both the kids win came in
the division.

Speaker 2 (34:41):
Now front's not bad and the box is really stacked.

Speaker 6 (34:43):
They're pulling fans from the stands to play cornerback.

Speaker 7 (34:46):
Now.

Speaker 2 (34:47):
Sure, they're absolutely.

Speaker 6 (34:48):
Gonna run Manung guys saying the name will be fun.
They're gonna try to hit us with him and Swift
a bunch. Jalen Redman's gonna meet that duo for lunch.
We'll talk about all of this time tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (35:00):
Beat ups Lakeville be there.

Speaker 6 (35:01):
If you've gotta beg or borrow, take the morning off,
ask a buddy to drive.

Speaker 2 (35:06):
Pump it up. Team's gonna get a win. Number five

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
