Speaker 1 (00:00):
Borny News. All right, the group is called the New
Tolerance Campaign. They've got a hate map out there documenting
political vines violence part of me by leftist organizations. Not
to be confused with the Southern Poverty Law Center, which
has the hate groups Conservative hate groups. So Gregory t
Angelo is the president of New Tolerance Campaign. Gregory, is

(00:20):
there a pattern to where these groups are geographically located
in the country.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
I think generally that you will find them in more
metropolitan parts of the United States. However, that's not the
case exclusively. I mean, we have cataloged and maps on
hatemap dot com leftist groups that were perpetuating violence in
states like West Virginia and Montana and West Texas, et cetera. So,

(00:49):
but generally, yes, it's more metropolitan parts of the country.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Yeah. I looked at your map and for the state
of Texas, it looks like Dallas area, and we know
that we've got organizations up there that have been very leftist,
and even here in Houston it looked like it was
kind of hard. I was on a plane and I
was having a hard time seeing the little bots.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Yeah, I mean, most definitely. You know, the frightening thing
is that, as you mentioned at the start of the segment,
I mean the Southern Poverty Law Center that has long
been seen as this objective monitor of hate. Right when
people think of the SPLC, they usually think of the
SPLC monitoring groups like the KKK, Neo Nazis, legitimate hate
that you're seeing from organizations, but over time their map

(01:30):
has become this catch all for conservative organizations that they
don't like. So I mean, right now, we have Moms
for Liberty, all three hundred and ten chapters of a
parental rights group that are on the SPLC's hate map.
You have doctor Ben Carson was on their extremist list
for a period of time, the Alliance Defending Freedom, This
is a nonprofit that has argued in one cases before

(01:50):
the United States Supreme Court. They're all considered hate groups. Meanwhile,
the SPLC does not monitor groups like James Revenge that terrorizes, vandalizes,
and attacks pro life pregnancy centers across the country. They're
not tracking Antifa, and they're not even tracking groups like
Students for Justice in Palestine, which are almost exclusively responsible

(02:11):
for all of the antisemitic violence and hate that we
saw rocking college campuses across the country, including in Texas,
until Governor Abbott put his foot down.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
I think that's the biggest difference is that with your
map in their map, is that you are actually showing
organizations that actually do support violence and have perpetrated violence
on other individuals.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
Yeah, you know, we have a very strict criteria and
the same cannot be said for the SPLC's hate map,
right like, if you use the wrong pronouns or misgender someone,
you are in danger of being placed on the SPLC's
hate Map. Well, at the New Tolerance Campaign, we didn't
want to be seen through that same corrupt lens that
the SPLC has come to be seen in over the years.
Our map tracks legitimate hate perpetuated by leftist organizations that

(02:54):
inspire and sadly and frighteningly frequently engage in physical violence
against those with whom they disagree. The SPLC has had
an absolute abdication of mission and duty and responsibility when
it comes to this. People have been telling you over
the course of the last week since we launched, that
they were hoping that an organization like New Tolerance Campaign
would be doing exactly a project like this. The response

(03:17):
has been great, and we're going to continue to track hate.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
On the left.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Yeah, getting your word out? How are you being received
across the country?

Speaker 2 (03:26):
I will say we had a really tremendous launch, especially
on social media last week on x formerly known as Twitter.
If you go to at new Underscore Tolerance, you can
see a pin video right at the top of the
screen that really summarizes everything you need to know about
our hatemap and hatemap dot com. It's been amplified by
social media influencers across the country and has received I

(03:46):
think at this point we're fast approaching over three hundred
thousand views on that video. So getting the word out
organically has been great, but hey, you know, I'm also
relying upon news outlets like you just to get the
word out to the people, because this is designed to
be used as a resource as much for academics, civil servants,

(04:06):
and members of the media, but also the general public
just to kind of know what's going on in your
neck of the woods. So I appreciate you having me
on today.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Glad to have you on. Thanks for joining us. Great
appreciate it. Greg Greay t Angelo, President of the New
Tolerance Campaign. It's five fifty seven
