freedom will make you smile, orfor suit of happen and us on your
radio to al just as cheezburgers livingit rise at Donald Trump was really disappointed

(00:24):
that he didn't get a hung Jerry, but nowhere near as disappointed as Stormy
Daniels was. Good night, folks, have a good night every No,
I'm kidding, Hi, everybody, thanks for tuning in this afternoon. I'm
Kenny Webster. I would assume thatby now, if you've listened to talk
radio over the past twenty four hours, if you listen to cable news,
there's probably nothing you haven't already heardabout the results of this trial. And

(00:45):
if you're curious what my take ison it, go ahead and listen to
the first hour of this morning showwith me and Billy Ed and Steve and
the boys. There's nothing I couldtell you about it now that I haven't
already said, and I don't wantto repeat all the things I already said,
so we'll discuss it a bit overthe next hour. Michael quinn Sullivan
stopping by from Texas scorecard dot Com. He'll give you the Texas Conservative position

(01:08):
on it. Theodore Ammy Taylor, stand up comedian stopping by. He's going
to give you the black man's perspectiveon it, So stand around for that.
But I'm not going to talk aboutit right now because I already told
you what I thought, and Idon't want to be redundant. I don't
want this radio show to be boring. Instead, I feel like you're underserved
as a media consumer. You probablydon't know about all the wild things happening

(01:30):
in the city of Houston right now. So to open up the show this
afternoon, I'm going to do somethinga little different. Instead of giving you
a monologue, a diatribe, goon some political rant about whatever the the
topic a of the day is,I want to talk about Houston for just
a second. There are a handfulof stories I want to cram into this
segment as quickly as we can aswe get started here, and we're going
to start off with this. JohnWhitmeyer's your mayor. He has just announced,

(01:53):
along with District Attorney Kim Ogg,who isn't going to be your DA
for much longer, there are goingto be corruption charges linked to city contracts
former city employees and contractors will befacing felony charges related to emergency water repair
scams. You know, they talkabout all the people that got weird water
bills in the city over the pastfew years, or all the water that

(02:14):
we're wasting along because our infrastructure's fallingapart. Holly Anson's here from the Texan
Dot News. Holly, what's goingon with this? Yeah, So it
sounds like wit Meyer, our newmayor, is working with the DiscT Attorney
to look into some of these thingsthat happened during the previous administration. And
you know, we talked about thison the show a couple of times,

(02:36):
but there are a lot of scandalsthat happened in Houston under Mayor Sylvester Turner
for two terms and then term limitedout. And one of those regards those
water charges. And apparently there wasyou know, a relative or something that
was hired to complete these emergency waterrepairs and there were a lot of bills

(02:57):
that were sent to the city andpaid, but not a lot of repairs
actually took place. There's been questionsswirling about that that we're all looking forward
to hearing what the district Attorney hasto say. It sounds like they are
going to be filing charges, andwe'll have more details on that pretty soon.
But it's certainly been an interesting firstcouple of months for our new mayor

(03:19):
as he digs down into a lotof these things, and we've seen shake
ups and different departments in the Cityof Houston, and I'm sure there's going
to be more to talk about more. Come all right, Something else,
speaking of John Whitmyer, our mayor. Something else that did not get a
lot of attention this week because ofeverything else going on with Dade Fallon and
Tony Gonzalez and the hush money trialin multiple wars, is the fact that

(03:40):
someone had to replace John Whitmyer afterhe became our mayor several months ago.
He's no longer a Texas State Senator. They had a primary runoff the person
replacing him as Molly Cook. Shejust defeated Representative Jarvis Johnson. I don't
let's say, let's pretend people don'tknow anything about Molly Cook. What do
they need to take away from thisrace? Well, and let me just

(04:01):
clarify to that race has actually notbeen called yet because she is separated from
the other candidate by seventy four votes. Declare victim. So she's probably not
might not even be the winner.Okay, well for me, yeah,
so, but it looks like rightnow she is the winner. We're just
waiting for that final call and forall the mail in ballots to be counted,

(04:24):
and we'll talk more about that ina minute. But Molly Cook is
an activist. She actually ran againstJohn Whitmeyer a couple of years ago and
unsuccessfully. She won a special electionto fill the unexpired term just earlier this
month. But this is for youknow, I guess to fill the term
during the full session next year andgoing forward for the next six years.

(04:48):
Activist. She's an emergency room nurseand her campaign has basically been she's a
woman who's experienced having an abortion instate of Texas. But she also says
she is a representative of the LGBTQcommunity. So I think she's you know,
I don't know anything about her personallife, but that's what she is

(05:12):
saying, and so she's kind ofushering in this sort of new attitude.
And she defeated a well known, well supported state representative by the name of
Jarvis Johnson. He's a member ofthe House and he ran for this seat
too, kind of surprising. Hegot sweaty endorsements from his fellow House members

(05:34):
from the Houston Chronicle, big newspaperhere in the Houston Harris County area,
and yet he was unable to defeatMolly Cook. And you know, I
mean to be fair, she's ayounger, attractive woman. I think she's
very attractive to a lot of peoplein this in these races, but also
emblematic of a shift in the DemocraticParty towards very progressive candidates. We also

(05:59):
saw another local Democrat unseated in herprimary race. That was sean theory.
She is a black woman who's typicallyvoting with her Democratic Party except on one
issue in particular, she voted toban gender modification procedures for children, and
the Democrats in Houston came after herand successfully unseated her in this race.

(06:24):
Wow. Interesting. Okay, onemore question I want to ask you about
in terms of elections. Everybody knowsback when alex Emilaire ran against Lena Hidalgo,
that race was full of suspicious, weird things, and so there were
all these lawsuits and finally a judgedeclared that one of those one of those
elections from that year is going tobe redone, and we talked about that

(06:45):
before on the show. What's thelatest on that? Well, the latest
on that is a ruling came outjust last Saturday, in the midst of
the holiday, and then was prettymuch overshadowed by all the news. As
you reference. I can't wait tohear the rest of the show today.
But yeah, the new election isbeing set for May of twenty twenty five.

(07:06):
So we're talking about an original electionthat took place in November twenty twenty
two. We talked about it alot. There were a lot of bad
things that happened. It was verychaotic. But in this case, the
prosecutions actually showed that there were illegalvotes counted in this race, at least
fourteen one hundred and thirty illegal votesand then another couple of hundred in question.

(07:30):
But it was enough to cast thetrue outcome of the election under suspicion
and so there must be a newelection. However, it was complicated by
a couple of factors. Being defendantjudged to Shawn Jones, who purportedly won
this election a Democrat. First ofall, he filed a something called an

(07:51):
anti slap motion to dismiss the case. The judge said it was frivolous and
intended to just delay the case, but it did successfully delay the games because
then he appealed that decision to theappeals court and tied it up for quite
some time, so it was atleast six months later than the other cases

(08:11):
and being adjudicated locally. The secondthing, though, DeShawn Jones is now
on the ballot again. He isrunning as a Democrat for the Supreme Court
of Texas. Wow. And soyou cannot you can't be on two ballot
or in two contests at the sametime. And so the judge judge set

(08:33):
his hands basically are tied and hecan't order the new election to take place
at the same time DeShawn Jones isrunning for the Supreme Court. So you
know, it's really frustrating for peoplewho would like to see some sort of
accountability for this very botched election thattook place in twenty twenty two. But
you know, justice delayed. Justicedeny Holly Hanson find her work at the

(08:56):
Texan Dot News. Michael Quinnsullivan rightafter this, if you can hear my
voice, you're still above ground alivein listening to Kenny Webster on KPRC nine
point fifty plus, you don't smelllike a dead person. Donald Trump says

(09:26):
Mother Teresa could not beat the chargesagainst him. That's true. I mean,
he's right. That's the reason whyMother Teresa was very discreet whenever she
paid hush money to a porn star. That's a known fact. I'm kidding.
I'm kidding. I'm Catholic. I'mallowed to make that joke. Thanks
for turning on the radio. Kids. It's Friday, and it was,
to put it bluntly, a prettywild week for news. There were some

(09:46):
ups, there were some downs.I think I'll remember this week besides being
the hush money trial week when Trumpgot his l I mean, okay,
it's not over yet, we knowthat, but also the week when Dade
Failin got reelected, Tony Gonzalez gotreelected. At the end of the day,
I would say this was not agood week, other than the school
choice thing, which was something ofa victory. But look, I am

(10:09):
not an expert on Texas politics.I'm an enthusiast somebody that I do fancy
to be something of an expert.A good friend of the show, Michael
Quinn Sullivan of Texas scorecard dot Com, probably the most knowledgeable and therefore one
of the most dangerous people in Texaspolitics. He has destroyed careers before.
Michael has a report today that theyjust published about how people are reacting to

(10:30):
the Trump verdict. And what's sointeresting about this. It's not so much
who is saying something, but who'snot saying something. You would think some
of these prominent Republican leaders would havea lot to say about Donald Trump being
found guilty in what is probably themost bizarre and broken legal trial in modern
history. Michael, Okay, whereto start with this? Well, so,

(10:54):
first thing I gotta say is beof good cheer, Kinney. This
was a fantastic week. There's notwo ways about it. You cannot in
any way see this past week asnow a crazy week, a frustrating week,
but at the end of the day, a strong week. No.
Number One, I must start withthe most recent thing, Donald Trump.

(11:15):
With that verdict on Yes, onThursday, Donald Trump basically just secured re
election to the White House. TheAmerican people are disgusted by seeing the United
States judicial system perverted into some youknow, banana Republic. There was a
video or of a picture floating aroundof Joe Biden wearing kind of a you
know, Banana Republic dictator, youknow, with all the medical kind of

(11:39):
uniform and all it lacked with himwearing the mirrored sunglasses, you know.
And and quite honestly, that's wherewe are so so one absent, you
know, other things happening. TheAmerican people are not excited about what we
saw happened, that the Democrats enthusiasmfor a perversion of the judicial system.

(12:01):
Notwithstanding, people aren't finding this nearlyas cute as some of the Democrats are
in the same way. But Iwould sit back even a couple of days
before that. Okay, crimea River, the speaker of the Texas House one
quote unquote one doing big air quoteshere. He won re election. He
spent one thousand dollars of vote toget re elected. That is an insane

(12:26):
that that is an amount of moneynever spent before in any campaign in Texas
or probably anywhere else in the country. One thousand dollars vote for a stay
aous position. Michael, that's alot of money for a stayrup That's all
of money, and that's money thatwas therefore not being spent you know we

(12:48):
all of us, I don't carewhat sign you're on. All of us
think the other side has an unlimitedsource of money. That's not true.
Now every side has limitations on money. And therefore the millillions, third,
thirteen or more million dollars that waspaid to get Daide Feeling and re elected
by three hundred and sixty six votemargin, that money was not sent in

(13:11):
all these other races where incumbent afterincumbent after incumbent fell, all of whom
close allies of Daide Feeling. DaideFeeling is the is the biggest loser in
Texas history. More incumbent politicians havelost elections under his watch. His right

(13:31):
hand men, his loyalists, hislieutenants have lost this election than we've ever
seen in Texas history. It's beenan absolute blood path for incumbent crony establishment
and Republicans in the Texas legislature. So so the fact that Dade Feeling barely
one what that told everyone else inthe Texas House, all the what his

(13:52):
remaining allies was Day doesn't care aboutyou. Dad is going to make sure
he wins about three hundred and sixysix votes, even if it costs a
fout dollars a vote to do so, and you you're going to lose when
some homeschool mom runs against you, spending a fraction of what you spent,
and she's going to beat you tothe ground, which again is what we
saw in race after race after racearound the state. So be of good

(14:15):
cheer Kenney. Don't let the leftwing media get you down. You're winning.
The people of Texas are winning, and I'm not tired of it.
But the more point is, wecan't stop. We've got to keep our
foot and when you've got your opponentdown on the ground, keep applying the
pressure with your foot to their throat. And that's the mistake conservatives often make,

(14:35):
is we step away. I lovethat. I think that is a
great explanation, and you're right,it's true sometimes we give up too easily.
Our our spirits are broken too easily. But on that note, so
Dad fail goes back to the TexasHouse. He got re elected. That's
theres nothing we could do about thatfor the time being. But that doesn't
mean he has to be the speaker. Now. The problem is I've noticed
a couple of the people that arechallenging him for his speakership are not exactly

(14:58):
conservatives. But on the other hand, when's the last time we had a
conservative House speaker in Texas? AmI is it too much to ask for?
Is it? Is it more realisticto just hope for kind of a
limp wristed moderate who's not a crook? Look at this moment, the limp
wristed moderate who's not a crook doesactually sound like a good deal. All
right, Sure we do that.Sure, the the the raging right wing

(15:24):
Uh, you know, crazy personof today in the popular imagination was actually
what you called a normal person twentyyears ago. So you know, the
world has shifted, right. Uh. The ideally, who the next Speaker
of the Texas House would be wouldbe a conservative in the in the fashion
of Dan Patrick, in the fashionof Kim Paxton, someone who is going

(15:46):
to every day wake up and say, how can I fight to make Texas
better? You know that that's that'sthe ideal. The reality is what we
probably need is someone who's going towake up every day and say, how
can I unravel the complete utter messthat is the Texas House culture? How

(16:07):
can I make sure that members ofthe Texas House are able to move and
advance their legislation without the Speaker's officeand the crony establishment democrat lobbyists, you
know, putting their thumbs on thescale and playing games in the back rooms.
We need a speaker who's going todecentralize the power of the Texas House

(16:29):
and really defying the office of theSpeaker. That's actually what we need.
I would like to have someone who'sboth, but the reality is, I'm
not sure that you're going to necessarythat. I'm not sure going to be
able to find both. I thinkthat the problems in the Texas House are
so herrendous what we have watched overthe past not the past year with the
impeachment of Ken Pankston, and noteven just the past four years of David

(16:52):
Feeling, but really going back tothe past fifteen years, of speakers of
the Texas House consolidating so much powerto themselves. That is an office unrecognizable
to that laid out in the TexasConstitution, and that I would argue,
we as conservatives need to first andforemost be about the business of fixing the
policies, the policy reforms that weall want. They will slow from that,

(17:18):
but right now, the Texas Houseis a toxic environment. Not even
good things that come out of atoxic environment are themselves toxic. Therefore,
we need to fix that toxic environment. And that's why I think every one
of us should be asking that. You've got Tom Oliverson running for speaker,
a fella from the Houston area. You've got Shelby Slawson who is from Stevenville

(17:38):
kind of taking them to the westof Fort Worth. You've got them running
and others are probably looking to run. The questions who should be asking them
is not yeah, where do youstand on tax relief? Where do you
stand on you know, saving babies? Those are important things. But the
more important thing to ask is howare you going to defang the tech the

(17:59):
speakership? How are you going tomake sure the legislators aren't blackballed by the
crony lobbyist Democrats? How are yougoing to fix that? That's the most
important questions should ask him. Yeah, and you know they all act like
conservatives until they get a little powerand then suddenly they're dad failing On that
note, I noticed Date is oneof the only so called Republican leaders in
the state that's not said anything aboutTrump's trial. I mean, you guys

(18:22):
have an article here, Greg Abbott, Dan Patrick, Ken Paxton, Sid
Miller, Don Buckingham. These areall the elect John Cornyn Ted Cruz was
on our morning show yesterday talking aboutwhat was going on in nothing from Dad.
What makes you wonder? Yeah, look very significant, two very significant
people who have said nothing about dayField, about the the verdict in New

(18:48):
York. One, of course DadeFeel And now you say, well,
you know, Dave just petty becauseDonald Trump endorsed against him. It is
petty and we kind of expect pettinessout of drunk day. More significant,
maybe than than Dage Feeling saying itabout it is our comptroller Glenn Hager saying
nothing in Controller Glen Hager was onTwitter yesterday's tweeting about various things, saying

(19:12):
nothing about this. Here's a Republicanwho's been allowed to skate, you know,
through the state House, the stateSenate, and now holding the state
wide office of comptroller saying nothing. Now, remember this the same Glen Hager
who decided, without any sort ofauthority to not pay Ken Paxton for the

(19:33):
multiple months between the House impeachment andthe Senate acquittal and has still not paid
Ken Paxton to back pay. SoGlen Hager has clearly decided as a Republican
he is not on team truth justicein the American way. And so we
probably shouldn't be surprised that Glenn Hagerhasn't said anything about Donald Trump, because

(19:56):
of course he was quietly as themoney man, you know, putting the
screws to Ken Paxton last year.So we we should all ask a few
more questions of mister Hager when heis up for reelection next year or in
the twenty twenty six. I gottathink Trump endorsing your opponent is not a
good excuse today if you've got anR behind your name, Because even Ron

(20:18):
tell me RFK really not RFK Junior, and Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley have
come out and said something in favorof Trump in this case in New York
City. I if that's not anDad does not get to pass on this,
Michael. Yeah, Look, DadeFeeling is one of those guys who
what he secretly wishes for is thathe had the power to orchestrate a trial

(20:41):
like Donald Trump went through. Whathe wishes you know, he didn't count
an amateurist job with going after KenPaxton. Dade Feeling is one of those
guys who really wants to use thelovers of government against all of his enemies,
and quite honestly that that's reason enoughto find yourself a new speaker the
exercise. Michael, I haven't evenworked. We've gone long on this segment.

(21:03):
I haven't even had a chance toask you about Daniel Perry, the
military veteran from Austin, Texas whojust got a pardon from Governor Abbott after
shooting a guy in self defense duringBLM George Floyd critical race theory riots back
in twenty twenty. There are nowDemocrats that are calling for something to be
reversed. Here. Can you hanginto another segment with us to discuss this?

(21:23):
Oh, I'd love to more withMichael Quinnsullivan Texas scorecard dot Com.
Don't go anywhere. That's a lot. I look you just such a pie
hole and keep working. Back tothe pursuit of happiness radio. This business,
it is a happiness radio, saidRazing Liberty and Region Texas is.

(21:49):
I mean, it's rained all day. It feels like it's rained a lot
this week. But Florida is apparentlyfacing the worst hurricane season in years,
And all I know is if ithits mar A Lango, you can expect
to find some classified documents just flyingup. And't that amazing? The FBI
actually showed up promised use of force. They said, okay, we're prepared

(22:11):
to kill. We're going to goto the President's house. We're prepared to
kill. That That was in theirreport. And then the other thing we
learned from that case was that theyused props, they used false they put
fake cover sheets on the documents thatsaid classified. Do you remember those photos?
There's something about that that just stinks. The rule of law nowadays is

(22:33):
a vague term that means almost nothing. And I think a perfect example of
that is the case of Army SergeantDaniel Perry. The guy has just been
pardoned by our governor this week. This would be pretty big news if it
wasn't for all the other things goingon, if it wasn't for all the
Do you understand Joe Biden just toldUkraine they can use US weapons to launch
attacks inside the country of Russia. That happened the same day that the verdict

(22:56):
was reached. Nobody's talking about thattoday, just like nobody's talking about this
today. But that's a tragedy becausein downtown Austin on July twenty fifth and
twenty twenty, Black Lives Matter rioterssurrounded this man's car pointed a gun at
him. But they were prepared tokill this guy, and he defended himself.
And now, according to a reportat texascorecard dot com, fourteen Texas

(23:19):
No. Fourteen Democrat attorney generals, presumably from around the country are urging the
Department of Justice to look into thiscase. Michael Quinnsullivan from Texas scorecard dot
com is here, Michael. Ifthe DOJ looks into this case and they're
being honest, what are they goingto find? Look, if they were
being honest, what they would found. What they would find is what the

(23:42):
parole board sound in Texas, whichwas this man acted in self? Dessent
Daniel Perry. Look, I don'tknow Daniel Perry, never met him.
He may be the nicest guy onthe planet. He may be a scumball.
I don't know sure. Back thematter is, even scumballs have the
right to defend themselves when they arethreatened. You know message, you know

(24:03):
you and me, scumballs. You'rein radio I work in the news.
We're both scumming people, but I, but you and I have not sacrificed
our right to self defense. Weare allowed to defend ourselves. And Daniel
Perry, you might think that,oh, well, you know, I
would have just reasoned with the guypointing his AK forty seven that you know,

(24:25):
at me. Oh really, then, apparently you've never had an AK
forty seven pointed at you. There'svery little reason when an angry mob surrounds
your vehicle begins pounding on the carand someone points an AK forty seven at
you, reason is out the window. At that point. All you're doing
is is trying to defend your ownlife. Now, look, if Daniel
Perriquin honestly should have been thanked inreal time, because you know what he

(24:49):
could have done. He could haveput his foot, his right foot down,
slammed on the accelerator and probably killedfour or five people with his vehicle.
Instead, he pulled out his handgunand he neutralized the most immediate threat,
the guy with the AK, andthat calls everyone to scatter her at
that point, right, so youknow he actually saved lives when being threatened

(25:11):
again. Whatever else might think ofhim. That's literally what he did.
That's a great point. That's areally good point, Michael. I don't
think anybody said that. I've neverheard anybody point that out about the case
before. This guy not only savedhis own life, it might have helped
other people absolutely. And look,if you you know, I guarantee you
that the fellow plenty AK forty sevenwas not what you would call well trained.

(25:33):
And I'm relatively sick. If thatguy started pulling the trigger at at
att Sergeant Perry, other people wouldhave also as the gun starts moving around
with very little you know, guncontrol, hand control of his gun,
other people will have gotten hurt. Not to mention Dango Perry hitting the cast.
So you know, all those thingscame into play, and he should

(25:56):
have been acquitted. But as we'veseen in New York, as you've seen
in other places, a a juryis is prone to conductor to law and
order. People. Oh yes, this the police say, the guys,
you know, the the left wingpolice union, the left wing prosecutor all
say this guy is guilty. Let'sfinding guilty, right, And so fortunately

(26:18):
the pardoner rolls word uh suggested thegovernor to pardon him, which he did,
and the d J should should ratifythat sign if they're to look into
it. Instead, what's going tohappen is this is another case of the
process being the punishment. Sergeant Perry, the guy making you know, at

(26:41):
most twenty two thousand dollars a year, and the you know, as an
illisted man in the in the army, He's now going to have to figure
out some way to defend himself fromthe Department of Justice coming after him.
They will probably find find no reasonto to take him to trial. That
doesn't he won't spend hundreds of thousandsof dollars defending himself in the process.

(27:04):
The process is the punishment, andthat's what the left has been specializing in
this law fare, using the courtsto go after people to make an example
of them. They don't have tofind you guilty, Kenny. All they
have to do is destroy your lifein the process of deciding, yeah,
we're not going to prosecute him,But that doesn't mean your life hasn't been

(27:26):
completely destroyed, right, And that'swhat they're looking to do to Daniel Perry.
Isn't it interesting too? I Mean, I know other people who pointed
this out, how similar to DanielPerry case is to the Daniel Penny case,
the guy in New York City,And I mean, obviously their names
are similar, but at the sametime, both of these guys in a
big blue city defending themselves, asyou pointed out, protecting other people's lives.

(27:48):
Daniel Penny was the marine on asubway who watched a guy flip out
and threaten to hurt everybody, puthim in a neck hold that ended up
killing the guy, which is sad, But you read the guy's criminal history
and you realize going around endangering people'slives all the time. Michael, his
trial starts in October. I don'tsee a scenario in which both of these
cases don't affect the presidential election.Oh absolutely, well, I mean you

(28:11):
just take a couple of years. My good friend Kyle Rittenhouse. I helped
him write his uh right, hisearly memoirs last year quitted. You can
find out a Amazon. By theway, did you help write that?
They asked us if we want tointerview it? I didn't know that.
That's so cool. Yeah, Ihelped helped him write it. I wrote
the wrote the uh uh, theintroduction to it, helped him write a
great kid. Again, the verysame situation. You know, you're allowed

(28:34):
to defend yourself. It doesn't matterwhether you like the guy now that happened
to like Kyl a lot, reallynice kid. But then that it doesn't
matter if you like not. Theyhave their constitutional rights and in all these
cases which you find is the leftusing using the courts to attack the people
they don't like, again based aroundthe presumption, and it's particularly it's not

(28:56):
aim at their own people. Yetit makes their own people happy to see
Kyle Rittenhouse, Daniel Perry, DanielPenny under them up, you know,
being accused of horrible things. Itmakes them feel giddy. But they're really
goodly after a seep like you andme. They're kind of law and order
types. Oh well, yeah, you know, it's almost accused of a
crime, they probably did it,you know, kind of thing we need

(29:17):
to be. I'll start asking alot more questions because our courts and our
prosecutorial arms have all been turned intotools of the left. Boy perfectly explained
my man. You guys have anotherreport today on your website about school choice
and we Cardi Angelis was here earlierthis week. You and I were just

(29:37):
talking about that interview we did withhim. He's a lot of people consider
him to be the leader of theschool choice movement around the country. Guy's
got a great new book out,and people in his movement are declaring a
victory right now in the school choicerace. Here the content, you know,
the movement in the state of Texas. Because we had twenty one Republicans
that were against it, we gotrid of what fourteen of the if I'm

(30:00):
not mistaken, pretty big numbers werereplaced with people that claim to be pro
school choice. But as you justpointed out to me off the air,
the war isn't over yet. Imean, we still don't have school choice
right. Yeah. The worst thingpeople can do in politics is declare a
victory before victory has been achieved.Very often when grassroots activists, when when

(30:22):
people like can meet here, ohhey, you know, the proponents say
it's one that means I can stopfighting. You know, if if on
D Day Dwight Eisenhower had put outa communication saying, hey, we won,
it's very likely we'd be living inthe Third Reich at this moment.
Instead, Dwight Eishower said, Hey, good day of battle. We've got

(30:42):
a lot more days of battle aheadof us, right, oh, okay,
setting reasonable expectations. And it worriesme when I see folks and look
Cory Dandlis is one of my heroes. He's a great guy. I love
him dearly. He's a good friend. But it worries me when people on
our side start, you know, making a broad generalizations about things that happened
yet happened. We need folks understandingif you care about school choice, you

(31:06):
need to be paying attention. Notyou know you you got a you got
a victory in the battle over thepast couple of months, but there is
a more important battle for that issuecoming up in twenty twenty five. And
if if you're not putting the sameenergy into that in twenty twenty five,
with the legislation they put in thesein these elections, you're going to lose

(31:26):
the The idea of conservatives like touse is all. You know, A
good idea will always prevail. Nogood ideas die all the time because their
proponents get lazy and fat. Weneed to be pushing forward harder. I'm
on school choice. If that's anissue you care about, Uh, the
other things got to recognize in alot of these races. Again, I
don't want to take we have anyonesale, but you know, to declare

(31:51):
that an issue is what won allof these races, and Corey's not saying
battle a lot, you know, the promotion. I think the there's this
common thread of because of this issuein every single race for any office,
for every single voter, there isa reason they voted for the candidate and
the reason they voted against the candidatethe other candidate, which means there are

(32:15):
thousands of reasons that people one andI don't like taking away from the hard
work and effort of the candidates andtheir volunteers and their campaigns in making those
cases, sometimes thousands of individual casesin order to in order to secure victory.
Certainly, school choice not just theissue, but what the issue represented,

(32:38):
the idea that we've had a Republicanlegislature that for twenty two years has
had complete control of the state andyet hasn't delivered on some very basic promises
like tax relief, like school choice, and that I think that that's why
that issue quote unquote is so powerful. This year had less to do with

(33:00):
school toye itself and more to dowith the fact that voters have gotten tired
of being lied to by the Republicanincumbents, and I think that maybe,
just maybe Republican incumbents are starting toget the message that maybe they need to
start delivering on things like school choiceor just the things on the Republican Party

(33:21):
priority list. It's the reason whywe make it. Hey, one more
quick question for you before we runout of time here, Michael Quinnsullivan from
Texas scorecard dot com. You guysdid something really interesting on the topic of
school choice. I think a lotof the reason why people are pushing this
so hard is there are so manynews stories about teachers in public schools doing
inappropriate things with students and lo andbehold, parents in those districts, parents

(33:43):
in those parts of the state don'thave any alternative or anywhere else where they
could send their kids. Well, these incidents have become so common that you
guys made an interactive map. Itwould be funny if it wasn't so sad
about all the incidents around the statewhere this stuff has happened. In the
interactive map, it's very interactive. It tells you about, like what did
the teacher get into trouble for traffickingchild porn, grooming sex with a student,

(34:07):
making port production of pornography. Wehad one case this week where there
was like a chubby Hispanic woman outin the West suburbs. Quanta Lex made
a funny video. Everybody's been sharingit around of him reacting to it where
he talked about her cellulite hanging outin the video, and it's pretty disturbing.
But if people look up that articleon your website, they'll find the
interactive map. In the Houston areaalone, there's dozens of examples of this.

(34:30):
How far back does this go?Yeah? Look, the thing that's
most troubling about that map is thatthese are the things we know about.
Yeah, And what we know foran absolute fact is there a lot of
these a lot of these cases,a lot of these instances that get swept
under the rug and so we don'tfind out about. So you can reasonably
double or even triple what you seeon that map to reflect reality. And

(34:55):
the instance on this map go backabout a year and a half, So
this is relatively recent incidents. Wow, Michael, And there's so many of
them. Boy, you really gotto see it to believe it. We'll
do that, go to texascorecard dotcom. Look up the article I just
described about the teacher from lamar Istate. It's you got to see it

(35:15):
to believe it. And while you'rethere, why not subscribe to the Texas
Scorecard email list. It is soeasy to do. You could donate,
you could you could subscribe. Iam a loyal brand evangelist of the Texas
Scorecard. You should be as well. Texas Scorecard dot com. Michael,
I thank you for your time thisafternoon. Brother. Oh, we'd marijuana.

(36:01):
Pott Cannabis was found growing at theWisconsin State Capitol. Yeah, I
had me thinking, there. Haveyou seen the size of the people there.
That may explain it. I thinkthey just have the munchies up there
in the state of Wisconsin. Iwould not have expected they found cocaine at
the White House, they found potat the Wisconsin State Capitol. I guess

(36:23):
I know which group of people Iwould trust around my daughter if I had
one, which I most certainly donot. I do, however, have
a black friend, though I'm goingto brag about that. I got it,
guys. I have a black friend. Okay, I have a few
black friends, but I know afunny black guy. His name's Theodore Emmy
Taylor. He's a stand up comedianand he is performing coming up in Houston,
Texas. I really want you guysto go. He's going to be

(36:45):
filming a comedy special. This isgoing to be so cool. It is
happening, and it's happening well nextmonth June, which is coming up really
soon. And if you guys wantto go, I will give away some
tickets at the end of this segment. It's going to be Saturday, June
fifteenth. I'm going to give awaya pair of tickets to the Deluxe Theater
three three zero three Lions Avenue,Houston, Texas. I want you to

(37:07):
be there. They want to packthe house, so it's gonna be a
lot of fun. As you guysknow, Theodore has performed before at Operation
Comedy Therapy. He's a big supporterof military veterans. The event will be
a They're gonna raise money and awarenessfor our friends at Wheelchairs for Warriors,
so important to me. Also onthe show that night, stand up comedian
Tim mathis two comics that a lotof you have already seen and love.

(37:30):
So that's gonna be a lot offun. But before we get to any
of that. I gotta ask aquestion after the first of all, THEO,
thank you for your time. He'sa Texas comedian. He's live from
Hollywood right now, THEO. It'sa big difference. Do you miss Texas?
I mean in California, the food'sgotta suck. God. Oh,
everybody has badvctos with the Midwest paletteout here, so you don't get you

(37:51):
get next food with no spikes.Uh, how is that possible? You're
close to the border. It's reallyI think they like watch every single burrito
before they service. It's it's prettysad. It's our Mexicans are way better
than their Mexicans. You performed ata really cool club in Hollywood recently,

(38:13):
didn't you. Yes, I did. I'll let the Hollywood improv. It's
a pretty big deal, is this. Yeah, man, that was really
good. I was hoping that theHollywood and prom Yeah. I love that.
Well, congratulations, dude. It'scool to see you and Tim blowing
up out there. And but you'recoming home, all right. So you're
a brother, THEO, and youknow you you make fun of people on
the left and the right, butyou're not like a textbook conservative and we're

(38:37):
not trying to pretend you are onthe radio. The last time you and
I spoke, you told me thatyou thought some of the reports that black
people are going to vote for DonaldTrump was exaggerated. You'd pointed out,
it's possible some of these people willjust stay home because they don't like Joe
Biden or Donald Trump. Do youstill feel that way? Absolutely not.

(38:59):
I will totally know now that Trumphas gotten the thirty four forty six for
thirty four, I don't I thinkhe's actually going for the black vote like
I think he is. I mean, the guy sweeps around, he has
different baby mamas, he sellsue.I mean, I think he's like one

(39:23):
session phone away from doing Bill Clinton. It's amazing. I think going Donald
it's gonna be awesome. You don'tknow he wanted to vote that bad.
You know what I never understood aboutlike Trump and the black voters is before
he was a politician, Donald Trumpwas mentioned in so many rap songs.

(39:44):
There were so many rap songs aboutpeople that wanted it rich, like Donald
Trump, blowing up like Donald Trump. I got money like Donald And then
when he became a politician, it'slike everybody just forgot about that, and
those same people that loved that songdidn't vote for him. Yeah, well,
I mean, the the thing is, Trump's name is easy to rise.
You know what I'm saying. Well, you know Trump rock nineties,

(40:07):
it was Krunk was a thing. So Krunk and Trump that's close. No,
you're right, it writes itself.I never thought about it that way.
That's that's actually a no. Thatmakes perfect sense. All right.
Donald Trump spent a lot of timehanging out with Don King, and he
spent a lot of time hanging outwith Mike Tyson. Uh, that fight
is coming up, Mike Tyson withJake Paul, Mike Tyson. Mike Tyson

(40:30):
just had a health issue on anairplane the other day. I gotta think
he still beats up that. Imean, Jake Paul's famous for doing white
boy dances on TikTok. How doesmy Mike Tyson not destroy this guy?
The thing is, and Mike Tysondoesn't win this fight. Boston is a
sham. There has never been.I swear if he's I grew up in

(40:53):
the eighties where this band was abeat and I was thinking tired of his
Like Grandpa Mike Tyson that everybody loves. I need to go in their bike
ears and punch him all That's whatI mean. He does live on a
marijuana farm, and apparently you couldpay to visit it, or at least
you could. I don't know ifthat's still a thing, is it?
I think I think what I thinkthis should show you how armed with marijuana?

(41:16):
Is it? Calm the mic typon. That's such a good point.
That is a great point, allright, speaking about black people in sports.
Something that changed this week we've neverseen before. Major League Baseball has
reclassified the am I allowed to saythis word? Is it? What is?
What? Do I call it?The N word? League? I

(41:37):
feel it. I doesn't feel Idon't feel comfortable saying it. THEO well,
I mean we could, I meanwe can still call it the Negro
League. I mean, you know, uh uh mid rest of this league.
I don't know. I think it'sawesome. I think I'm glad that
it happened because but a lot ofpeople think it's a little Wilton Jima,
and I don't think it's Alton gymAlex might be one of this. You

(41:58):
got Lucas joking, you got LucaJokings and Clayton Clark. White people are
taking over basketball and we need theone of them. No, you're right,
the white women and then European dudesthere. How is this happening done?
It's killing me inside. So we'regonna take that little home run on

(42:20):
trophy from baby, you know, and get one of like the Negro leagues
up there, and missus lecole Nwith the Negro League, we can bring
like the Negro League mains bag, like you know, blond wolln Lomax,
you know, uh jig of SelJohnson. I don't know. I don't
know, kid, Kayla Clark doesn'tdo anything for me. Do brothers?
Are brothers attracted to her? Oh? God? No, It's like watching

(42:45):
a pole play basketball. It's aneavor. I mean, she's gonna know
what she's done, you know, but he's in the league, and I
think everybody's giving a rancome aside. What I'm hating is, uh, people
who don't watch basketball in Opatian allbasketball, like, you know, like
she does something that's like, youknow what, this is the reason why

(43:07):
women like no i'ld be the overanaim the game or what this is doing
for women's just suit the ball.I love it. Theodore M. Taylor
is doing a comedy special Saturday,June fifteenth. People. You got to
get tickets to this. It's atthe Deluxe Theater. Cheap cheap tickets start

(43:28):
at seven bucks. You can geta pair of tickets set and they go
up to ten. And the reasonthat it's inexpensive. Theodore would normally fill
a comedy club if he came toHouston, but this is a relatively bigger
venue and they want to pack theplace because they're filming a comedy special.
The event is called Theodore Emmy Taylor'sbow Tie Guy Live Comedy Special taping.
You could get tickets at on eventBright just search for that. You can

(43:51):
look him up on Instagram. Butfor bow Tie Guys if both Tai Guys
dot even Bright dot com. I'mgonna give away a free pair of tickets
right now on the air because Igot some tickets to this and it's great
to I mean, it's for wheelchairsfor warriors, but for some reason you
can't afford tickets and you want togo. Theodore is going to ask a
trivia question right now about the stateof Texas and whoever tweets me the answer.

(44:15):
I'm on Twitter at Kenneth our webster. Most you already know that if
you send me the answer to thetrivia question, the first person I see
is going to get a pair oftickets THEO What should the trivia question be?
All right, I've been thinking aboutthis for a minute now. All
right? What is our rap Stateof Texas national dish? The State of
Texas dish, the official food ofTexas in a very unique food as a

(44:39):
matter of fact. All right, that's the question. Somebody's gonna get tickets
to this thing. In the meantime. Whoever can answer that, send me
the tweet. What is the officialstate dish? The official cuisine of the
State of Texas. And if youdon't know the answer, I mean you
could google it whatever. But whileyou're on the internet, get some tickets
at event bright follow my buddy TheodoreMmy Taylor on social media. You're gonna
