no doubt that female dogs judge you more than male dogs.
No one has ever looked at me in such disgust
is my dog when I come home later than usual
and a little tipsy.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Yeah, that's based off article I saw that says female
dogs judge you more than male dogs. Study fines your
mom's dog.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
Yes, Dulce is the biggest judger I've ever seen in
my life.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
She's an Axel bougie because she's like chubby in a
no but she like.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
I said that to your mom. I'm like, she's judging
me right now.

Speaker 4 (01:04):
I have it.

Speaker 5 (01:05):
So I have three dogs. One is a female and
she judges the other dogs. I see her give them
looks like are you serious?

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Yeah, I don't like that. I do.

bone up on our Turkey Day knowledge. Time for another

(02:03):
many Thanksgiving pop quiz.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Pawned with Mario pop Quiz.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
We did around to this yesterday I dominated. Let's get
our hands on the buzzers.

Speaker 5 (02:13):
Yes, you did win yesterday. Today we'll see how you do.
Here's the first question. This one again is going to
be closest without going over. According to the Guinness Book
of World Records, how much does the heaviest turkey on
record weigh?

Speaker 3 (02:29):
That was Courtney four thousand pounds.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
No, what do use?

Speaker 4 (02:34):
This is Jurassic Park turkey, mister Lopez.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Wow, just yeah, I'm gonna go with two.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
Hundred and ten pounds.

Speaker 5 (02:43):
You both are incorrect. You've both gone over eighty six pounds.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Okay, I just thought they might have been a monstrous
turkey back there. By the way, eighty six pounds is
enormous for a bird.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
A whopping eighty six pounds.

Speaker 5 (02:54):
According to Guinness, a turkey named Tyson who ate eighty
six pounds was sold at a charity auction in low
In in nineteen eighty nine for sixty six hundred dollars.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
A bridge turkey at that.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
All right, so it's zero zero two questions left?

Speaker 5 (03:06):
What professional football team has played almost every Thanksgiving since
nineteen thirty four.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
That's Mario.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Well, there's two. There's the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions.

Speaker 5 (03:15):
That is correct. The Lions has played more. They played
more than the Cowboys. But yeah, it's just one point.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
That's not fair that the same two teams play play
every year and get highlighted.

Speaker 5 (03:25):
All right, final question, it is one zero. This will
be your three points. So it's anyone's anyone's game.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
Here we go. How long was the first Thanksgiving? Mario?

Speaker 5 (03:34):
Two weeks incorrect? Courtney five days incorrect? Three days. They
went on a three day bender.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
That's a sick one.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
More Mario Lopez coming up?

Speaker 2 (03:48):
What a Mario Lopez here? What's some holiday buzz for you?
The lineup for this year is Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
filling out nicely. Kobe Calais, Sierra, our Buddy, Gavender Grau, Foreigner,
Shaggy Little John, Jewel, Cool in the Gang. Yeah, some
fun throwback artists. That's Thanksgiving Day. And make sure to
set a reminder for NBC on Wednesday, December third, as

(04:09):
I will be back in the Big Apple to help
kick off Christmas by lighting the Rockefeller Christmas Tree alright
dot com to find. I'm Mario Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Here.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
We treat every day like a holiday. What are we
celebrating today, honey?

Speaker 3 (04:22):
It's delicious and I never think about it until it's
out for like a holiday, and then I cannot stop
eating it. It is National French Dip Day.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
You know what's funny you say French dip. In my
mind went to the sandwich, the French dip sandwich, which
you're talking about, the actual.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
With the potato chips.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Potato chips.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
See, I was thinking sandwich too.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
Well, a sandwich.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
You know what I just got the other day of
prop You dip it in a in the ju sauce,
and I put the horse strategy.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
That's for me.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
That's too like.

Speaker 4 (04:51):
So you just want French dip for chips exactly. Okay,
I'm a Danny's girl.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
You're all Maril Courtney Lopez. That's time for another helpful
holiday life hack. What you got in Courtney's corner, honey.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
So this is the four gift role for kids during
the holidays, and this is destined to keep everybody happy.
And I think it's really great for adults too. You
get them one thing that they want, one thing that
they need, and as a parent, we know what they
need more than they know what they need. One thing
they'll wear, okay, and one thing that they read.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
I like that rule.

Speaker 6 (05:28):
More details and on with Mario dot Com. Happy Holidays
from the entire On with Mario Fan more fest and
fun coming up, You're all.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
Marrow Courtney Lopez's put on our thinking caps. It's time
for Courtney's random question. What you got, honey?

Speaker 3 (05:42):
So, if we as a society were forced to replace
turkey as a main dish, which I'm all for on Thanksgiving,
what would you choose to replace it?

Speaker 2 (05:52):
I love it. I love a turkey. You only really
have it around Thanksgiving other than like a sandwich here
or there. Gotta go dark meat though I'm a dark
meat guy. I would replace it with another bird, and
it would be the duck. I know you were going
to because you know how I feel about ducks. Very underrated,
very tasty, all dark.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
That doesn't make them happy.

Speaker 6 (06:11):
Let us know what you think on Twitter at On
with Mario. Happy Holidays from the entire on with Mario

Speaker 3 (07:08):

Did you know that scientists have discovered what is believed
to be the world's largest bed sheet. Really more on
this story as it unfolds.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
Hey, okay, not bad, not bad, very good. You're all
Mario Courtney Lopez. In every week we like to search
the net for good news and honor a good deed
with a Lopezzy award. So let's see who gets the
honor for our good deed Lopezzy this week.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
Well, this week we are honoring John Richert, who lives
in Iowa. So John who's created a heartwarming tradition for
his wife, Joe, who has Alzheimer's disease. So John and
Joan got engaged on Christmas Eve fifty four years ago,
so the holiday, of course, has always been special to them.
This year, to bring joy to Joan, John convinced all

(08:14):
eighteen homeowners in their neighborhood to put up tons of
Christmas decorations. John even helped them all decorate their homes
and this collective effort has transformed their street into a
festive wonderland to lift Joanes spirits. John says that every
effort and expense was worth it just to see his
wife happy, and even better, it brought the community much closer.

(08:36):
I'm sure working together on something like that you get
to know your neighbors a lot more.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
Good for John out here being a real Chris Kringle
with his festive joy.

Speaker 6 (08:46):
Nice happy holidays to you and yours. This is on
with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
We'll be right back.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Mario Courney Lopez here with details on the next game
to be made into a movie. This time it is
the Oregon Trail, a gaming as essential for all eighties kids.
Apple TV is making it. It's going to be an
action comedy. Oh my gosh, wait a minute, that was
a video game.

Speaker 5 (09:07):
It was a computer game because we used to play
it in like computer lab. After we finish our typing assignments,
it will be the best game ever.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
It will be in action comedy. I can't believe that
I am not familiar with this game.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
It's from the producers of La La Land and The
Greatest Showman, so it should be fun for the whole
entire family. More than sixty five million copies of the
game have been sold.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
Music rolls on Mario Courtney Lopez. Here was some quick
food buzz. After fifteen years of development. Grocery stores about
to get a new fruit, the Kalada Royal pineapple. This
sounds amazing. This is from the Doll Company and they
say it tastes like a pina colada with hints of coconut.
Wait a minute, this is a game changer and it
packs two and a half times the B six of.

Speaker 4 (09:47):
A regular pineapple. There's no booze in it, though, no
would you go quickly? You could add it?

Speaker 2 (09:51):
Yes, if you want to try it. The fruit is picked,
riped and ready to eat and it's.

Speaker 4 (09:55):
Only five or six bucks.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
It's going to be in stores later this month while
coming out in winter two. I like that.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
I love it.

Speaker 4 (10:03):
We're going to be all over this.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
I'm telling you, I'll get it. I'll get it. You
get to get this. Let's get this. Start putting it
in a blender, Throw a little malibu rum with some
vodka and tequila. Bam.

Speaker 4 (10:12):
You've got very specific how he wants to deliver it too.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Happily, I know exactly want this is a boat drink,
right if we made jon Mark Courtney Lopez time for
that yearly reminder to wash our hands. Coal and flu
season is here, and the CDC says regularly washing your
hands can help reduce the spread of germs, including respiratory
illnesses by up to twenty one percent.

Speaker 4 (10:33):
Were there people that didn't know this or do this.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
You have to remind people. You really do have to
remind people. The Cleveland Clinic says that means after a cough, sneeze,
bathroom use, handling food, taking out the garbage, being out
in public. Effective hand washing takes at least twenty seconds
at the very least, get one of those little hand sanitizers.

Speaker 4 (10:51):
Yeah, you can have it with you.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
That helps.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
This is up there with reminding people to not leave
pets in the car when it's hot outside.

Dwayne Johnson Karen Gillen, Kevin Hart, and Jack Black are
all on board for Part three. It's scheduled to hit
theaters in December of twenty twenty six. This will be
the final chapter in the franchise. The first modern Jumanji
movie made more than nine hundred and sixty million at
the box office. Part two made eight hundred million. That's

(11:51):
a fun franchise. You're on, Mario Courtney Lopez. Time to
dish out some common sense. Just as all rise, Courtius
cord is an ounce session. Tonight's case comes from out
Sarah Toovan. She says, Thanksgiving is and has always been
a big deal in our family, and with my parents
being older in age, I think it's even more important
for everyone to show up. But teenage daughter is rebelling

(12:12):
and refusing to go. Every interaction seems to push her
further away. Thoughts, Oh, we've got thoughts.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
I'm sorry you said, teenage daughter. You need to make
her go. There's no she doesn't make the rules, she
doesn't make the decisions, and she does what you say
at period end of discussion.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
This is a time when they try to push you
and see how far they can get away with things,
and they want to be independent, but no, they're still
part of the family and they still got to hang out.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
So they don't pay the bills right.

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero.
