eighty three. Fellas, here we go, Here we go, turn
on the smooth jam sounds, because here we go. I'm
about to ask them how their weekend is going. Here
(01:29):
we go, Here we go, Here we go. Hey, t
J Plex, how y'all doing today? Man? Man, we're good.
Weekend just got started, baby, so we we're good. We're good.
Heyn feeling good. It's a beautiful day in California. Man. Yeah,
I don't get to say that too often, so I
gotta take advantage of when he waking up to these
clear skies and palm trees. Baby does have his pros.
(01:54):
It definitely has a lot of prose, that is for sure.
And speaking of pros guys, well, one of the most
pro guys in the Pros got into a little scuffle
fight Aaron Donald Uh out of scrimmage. And it's interesting
because we we had some UH. Dan Patrick had Ross
(02:18):
Tucker on UH and he was talking about he makes
it a point. I think Ross Tucker became famous off
of talking about UH. The scuffle that he and I
had during a practice. Uh well, by his account, I
guess he was punching me in my helmet. Um, I
don't recall all of those things. What's that. I never
(02:39):
understood that, by the way, punch helmet. Yeah, I'm telling
you right now. And it's so funny. One of the
most accurate parts that he got about the story that
he got right was I removed his helmet before cracking
his head. Well, yeah, I mean so I didn't. I didn't.
I didn't hear the story. So that's the most accurate
(03:00):
part of the story. So just uh well, my version
of the story is we were in we were in
a an early period of practice. It was a blitz
pick up package or something to that effect. Where we were.
We were with the ones, the starters were with the starters,
and they were going through kind of three quarters speed,
(03:23):
you know, even less than three quarters speed of of
seeing what the defense was doing, right, and he was
grabbing me like it was a full, all out, all
out period, like it was a scrimmage. So he paints
the picture like, oh, I'm a vet and I didn't
I didn't want to to practice hard because I'm a
(03:43):
diva or some some something to that effect. Nobody. If
you know me and you've ever played with me, you
know I practice like I play. So the way you
see me playing the game is the way I practice.
But if we're in a period where you you don't
have you're not full go then and I'm not full go,
I'm going out the speed that they tell you to go. Well,
(04:04):
he was grabbing me like we was a hundred percent
full going. I kept telling him, like, bro, like relax man,
to stop grabbing me like that, like and you know
what he was doing? What what was? What was what
was bothering me? Was it was that extra grab and
push at the end of it, you know how like
like it's almost like a manhood challenge grabbing push. And
I was like, bro, you got one more time to
(04:25):
grab me like that in this in this period, finish
off with a little push, bro, Like like you're like
you are all pro, like you grabbing me in in
a period where you don't go a hundred percent as
an all pro. Now, now, granted we're so far removed
from from that, like we're so so many years removed
from from that moment in time. So to say, I
(04:48):
remember every moment in every every you know, detail of
the story would say that Ross Tucker's significance and in
that moment to me was significant, which we you know
it was. It so, but what I do remember about
the fight was Ross grabbed me. I told him, you
got one more time to grab me like that before
(05:08):
I jack your big ass up we come back out.
He did it again. So when he did it, I
grabbed it. I grabbed him up. I grabbed his face
mask and and I I do believe I socked him
right and then and from that moment on, all I
remember was guys jumped in it. Guys jumped in it.
(05:33):
And I turned to walk away and Ross I saw
his shadow. This is what happened. I saw his shadow
coming towards me, and I still had his hand, his
helmet in my hand, and I threw the helmet like
swung the helmet at the shadow. And they follow you.
I mean, you have his helmet in his hand. What
did you say for him to do? I rafiki his ass.
(05:55):
That's what I did. Donald him, well, Aaron Donald was
facing them like it was in the scrum like you
he y'all still, why you turning your back? You know
you're getting as I was done. I was that everybody
had grabbed us. It had subsided, seemingly had subsided. I
was walking, yes, but it almost appeared like he was
(06:20):
trying to creep me. And his story from he put
them hands on you, upside of your helmet and you
walked off basically No. No, his story was we locked
up and he started punching me a whole bunch of
times in my helmet and bruised his helmet and someway,
somehow I got hit. While he's punching me in my head,
I'm grabbing his helmet and then I swing the helmet
(06:40):
and with charity, y'all can go around to just set
it up, y'all go round to you know, we don't
need to do that for charity. We don't need to
do that. He said. He called his wife and said
he had a bad day. If if we did a
charity round that that wouldn't be no good, you know,
because I'm nice with these um But that's that's what happened.
(07:01):
That's what happened. Now. The bottom line is Aaron Donald
gets into that that was like a that was a melee,
like that was a whole bunch of guys going at it.
You see the helmet going going back and forth. And
my whole thing is my whole thing is the question
is should he be suspended? Should there be a a
(07:25):
stiff penalty for what took place? I've never heard unless
somebody really really was was injured, Like I I can recall, Um,
there was I believe there was a settlement with Stephen
Davis and the Washington team when he got into the
fight with Michael Westbrook. People may remember that. Um, I
(07:45):
wasn't there. That was the year before I got there.
But but I believe I believe Steve Smith got fined
for uh when he did that. The Ken Lucas Yeah,
because I can. Yeah, but he I think when something
um see, I think when somebody gets injured outside of
(08:06):
the perimeters of it happening during the course of a play,
which I think is weird because everything in the pro
even in college culture, fights happen. I don't know that
people are aware how many fights out practices. Yeah, they happened.
But when you're talking what you get to talk about
swinging helmet, that's a whole different Okay, let's talk about it.
(08:30):
Let's talk about it. But I think Cameron Heyward said
the best, you know, the I would listen to what
he had to say about it. He said, guys do
things in these and these uh you know, these team
practice of scrimmages that they would never do in the game.
And it makes absolute sense because you are definitely going
(08:52):
to do everything in your power to get an advantage,
especially when you won't when you won't be penalized, and
and nothing will happen because of it. I mean, it's
it's some extra holding going on, for sure, I mean
defensive pass interference. I can't even imagine some of the
egregious things that are happening during these scriminals and practices
(09:13):
because there are new consequences and and guys don't have
to burn about being suspended or being fined. But behold
and I don't think I don't think it's uh suspendable
because of the time frame and what it what it
happened during practice. But I do think the team or
the league will find him because of what he does,
(09:35):
because of what he did. But as far as being suspended,
I don't think. So what what what do you think?
T J? Because I got a second question to as
one v a legend. One said, man, we're talking about practice.
Come on, man, this is practice and see plexus calm like,
you know how many fights I used to get in
and practice. We had one joint practice with another team.
(10:00):
It was a Saints. Marvin did not coach Lewis. Marvin Lewis,
he didn't even let me practice. He comes up to me.
I was like, if you promise me you won't fight,
I'll let you practice. And I just started laughing I'm like,
I'm not gonna fight. He did not let me participate
in the practicing because he knew I probably would have
(10:20):
gotten I got in so many fights in practice and I,
I don't know, I don't like this. One would irritate me.
You know. You you catch the ball and you running
down the field and they come try to knock it out.
They hit you in the elball. That's a fight. I
throw the ball at him, they throw it back, and
I'm not punching you in your helmet. As soon as
you take your helmet off, I'm gonna take my helmet off.
(10:41):
Then I'm gonna run up on you. You will fight
somebody over there if you punch me. And so. But
after a while, the DVS knew that I would be fighting.
So they stopped doing it. They stopped doing it, and
everybody that played with me, Notice, and I don't say
that like, oh, I'm this tough guy. That was just
it's practice. Never once would I do it in the
(11:02):
game because you know, because now reporters have phones and
cameras on the sideline ever so instant. We didn't have
this getting out when we played. That's what take some
reporters off the field. Now this footage doesn't exist. This
is things going on forever, but it never gets out
(11:24):
because characters get right. Is Aaron Donald wrong? Yeah, he's wrong.
Should he be suspended, absolutely not. Should he be fined,
absolutely not, because it happens all the time. It happens
all the time. Now they're not swinging helmet, Like if
this was his teammate, he wouldn't have swung the helmet
because it was an opponent. Well that's not true. I
(11:46):
swung my helmet out of teammate. Uh. These things happen though,
These happen, and that's the point of it. So now
the question becomes, that doesn't make it right, That doesn't
to find that it happens all the time. But what
you said was the key part of it, And that's
what I was gonna ask, do you have to find
(12:06):
him or suspect him because of the optics, because now
now regular to see it. No, I'm not. I'm not
finding him at all because we put him in this
position by having these joint practices. And then you touched
on Stephen Davis when Michael Westbrook that was hands on.
And then I touched on when Steve Smith hit Ken
(12:29):
Lucas and he got in trouble for the team. But
but in both of those situations, that was in the game.
But in both of those situations, it was a team
on team and both of those guys got snuck. They
didn't get a fair one. Stephen Davis was on the knee,
he got punched. Ken Lucas was sitting down, he got punched.
That's a different situation, man, Ross Tucker, that was a
(12:52):
fair one. In fact that I even warned him like
quick grabbing me, Like those situations are different. You're fighting
the game. You know what, gonna get kicked out the game.
You're gonna get fine. You already know. And there ain't
no fight worth it because you don't get that money back.
You never see it. They take it right out your check.
But I do. I do believe this though, because of
what just happened with Aaron Donald, I think that I
(13:12):
think the league is going to kind of put some
stipulations on these joint practices moving forward. There will be
fines and possible suspensions of when you play with the
Steelers are the Giants. The only joint practice we did
that I ever participated in was against the New York Jets,
because you're talking about twenty years ago, man, dude, like
(13:33):
when people were doing on when we were playing, and
I was like, man, I want to do a joint practice.
Then we do want that. Markets like you can't practice
I mean people when I tell people the stories, like
when I was in Pittsburgh, there were no joint practice
because we would actually have live run I mean periods. Man.
It was like tackling to the ground, soef we didn't
have to uh have a joint practice against it. You
(13:55):
had crazy dudes on your picense barrier was a quiet
crazy dude. These practice was crazy. I mean you got
all these dudes yeah yeah yeah, full contact. You're like, man,
(14:16):
this no, man, this ain't right. Yeah. Defense. So the
final result from from you guys, a final verdict from
the jury of t J and Plexico is suspend fine
which one? What is? Nothing? Guilty? Nothing? Nothing. I think
the RAMS will take some responsibility for his actions, uh,
(14:39):
to show the NFL that they don't support his what
he what what he what he did at the joint
practice and the RAMS will find for optics. Okay, all right.
I think he'll probably get a fine some type of
penalty too. But I don't from the team not to leave. Yeah, man,
they better hope Aaron Donald don't get piste off by that.
I tell you that find him that him alone. Mama, man,
(15:08):
all right, this is up one game. That's t J.
Whischmans out of his Plexico birds. Make sure you stay
tuned in. On the other side of the break, we
got James Jackson coming up with that. I'm on your head,
all right, all right, Welcome back into up on game.

(15:57):
up on your head. Come on, it's like I'm on
your head with James Jackson. Alright, what are we doing all?
How are we doing right? You don't know. It's my
job to get on in teams when they're lacking right.
But this time I got to talk to my own
(16:18):
team because we got the leaders of one of the
best radio shows and podcast networks in the game Up
on Game, touching out all the great contact for football season,
and within that feature is one of the top rosy
sports podcasts in the game, Straight Facts. Well, I got
three seasons or Straight Facts and no guest appearances from Lvark,
(16:38):
Toxico or t j oh Man. I'm on y'all head,
So I'm I'm sure broth of my listeners. Note, but
for those who don't, let me put you up on
Game Straight back to my podcast. We call it the
sports show that educates an entertain So we take them analytics,
stat break them down, put them into context. So even
(16:58):

It's a great listen. We put a flight with two

need y'all on the podcast with me. Man, Hey, plush,
I know we used to see and you make big cheches,
so don't let this opportunity slipt be your hands. No
appearances on the part. Say it with me, shy keeping
(17:21):
and t J. Man. I know every since we talked
about Maddens, you've been scared to come face me. But
you an't gotta be heptace to come on the part. Man,
this is one place that we don't keep scoring when
you're wrong. Trust me, it's all good at Lavart. Man,
I think you're the only one that may be safe here.
So we're playing all coming out the gate hot in
season three with the first episode, and I can tell
(17:42):
that episode it's gonna hit harder than number eleven coming
off the edge against the State. So let's listen. I
make a lot of jokes, but it's all in good
fund no hard feelings. I just can't believe we haven't
made this happen yet. To me, it's more head scratching
than the Seahawks named Gino Smith the week one started.
What I've done, here's your cracial invitation to come on
a pot for season three. But if you'll don't, you
(18:04):
leave me no choice. I'm on your head, you know, Smith, Like,
why am I in the crosshairs? Quite a crazy straight?
He didt a crazy straight real quick. I'm sorry, Hey,
j J, all you got to do with Aggs bro
Like I haven't even I ain't been asked to be
on it. I had to do it. T J. Had
to do it in a way that you couldn't say no.
How to make sure he did put Yeah, I would
(18:27):
not have approved of this had I known this pre show,
If this was pre show protection, did you come on
my show telling me what I need to be doing? Yeah?
He got pretty codess. Okay, that is straight facts right there, Like, okay,
I'm going to do it. I'm on I'm on the
air live, and I'm saying I'm committing on air that
I'm gonna do. I'll do I'll do an interview. That's
(18:49):
that's no problem. Oh yeah, you know, I'll come in
and you know, uh, you know, talk some straight facts
on straight facts. Let's get to it, all right, And
I got you all right Now, I was gonna say,
(19:10):
now that we've we've been ambushed by by James Jackson. Uh,
you gotta tell me because I know you guys are
like like super football and in the most respectful way,
y'all like sports geeks. Um, that's what we we love
so much about the show is how well you guys do?
What what are you expecting? And Week zero for college football? Like,
(19:32):
how excited are you guys? I mean we're we're up
and getting ready from from all levels. I mean there's
a lot of intrigue, especially when you look at kind
of the close hometown teams. You got the pen States
are looking to have a bounce back here on how
the State coming in with still just absolutely loaded offense.
Michigan looking to bounce back and finally get back to
(19:53):
the mountaintop. So all the all this intrigue with with
college football is great. And then you go back down
to the C season the SECS with you know, the
little rivalry that Nick Saban and Jimbo Fisher are starting
to have down there. We can't wait to see what's
going on with that. Well Clemson bounce back, will l
s U start to bounce back? Like college football is
is so hype, So of course with a football we're
(20:15):
gonna get into it. We're gonna get into college football
as well. We're gonna get into NBA when it comes
to me. We get into all things. But the hype
is real. Hype is defintely real. Down the Straight Facts,
we can't wait to get into you. Alright, make sure
y'all check out James j J Jackson on Straight Facts podcast.
It's a it's a three man show. Pretty pretty dope.
Jay Guiley's on there. Yeah, listen, you want to get
(20:38):
some information, fantasy football stuff, betting tips, all that type
of stuff. They got some great information jumping off on
that on that podcast, So make sure you check it
out up on Game Presents, Uh, feed on on I
Heart sports radio platform. That was that a good enough
plug for you, j J. Is that can get you
off of our heads. Appreciate it? All right? All right,
(21:00):
that's James Jackson right there. When I'm all your head, Uh,
that's pretty good. All right, Let's go to my man,
the legend I Low Isaac for a little bit of news.
What you got Are you guys ready? Because for the
first time, Yes, I've got actual live college football score
(21:23):
for the first time this season. Yes, it might only
be Western Kentucky and Austin P. But it is a
college football score. Western Kentucky seven Austin P. Three, five
minutes out of the first quarter. Western Kentucky getting on
the board not a sixteen yard touchdown pass from Austin
Reid to Malachi Corley, but Austin P just coming back
(21:46):
moments ago with a field goal. By the way, Austin
P home to arguably the greatest students section chant in
all of college sports history. So fellas, back in the day,
Austin P used to have a star basketball player named
Jay Games Fly Williams, and the actual student section chant
was the fly is open, let's go pee for my money,
(22:12):
creative greatest chant in student section history in college sports.
One other game about to kick off? What how exactly
what that had sounded? You want to give it a try,
you guys, give it a try. So the words were
the fly is open, open, let's go pee. Somehow, I
think the enthusiasm is entirely with LaVar and participating in
(22:34):
this chance. Did you like that? I mean, I gave
it a go. Are they giving you? Are they giving
you the side? I LaVar? I mean they're they're in studio,
they're probably giving each other the sap out, like what
is wrong with LaVar Man? Hey, you tried, you tried,
I did try. Let's participation exactly. That's that's what we
do around here. We have. But also kicking off right now,
Nebraska and Northwestern in a game being played. Yeah, and
(22:55):
Dublin Ireland. I went on the honeymoon in Dublin, Ireland.
By the way, that is actually a big ten conference
games that counts in the standings. Guys, We've got a
ton of NFL news, so we'll get to that late
Friday night to Seattle Seahawks officially naming Geno Smith their
starting quarterback. NFL media reporting Carolina Panthers number two quarterbacks
Sam Darnald believed to have suffered a high ankle sprain
(23:16):
in Friday's game against the Buffalo Bills, and we'll have
an m R I today. Buffalo held rookie punter Matt
Rise out of that game. Rizal was accused of sexually
assaulting a seventeen year old girl in a civil lawsuit
that was filed on Thursday in San Diego. During the
course of Friday's game, Arise actually released a statement saying, quote,
the facts of the incident are not what they are
(23:37):
portrayed in the lawsuit or in the press. I look
forward to quickly setting the record straight. Unquote. Here is
Buffalo Bill's head coach Sean McDermott after last night's game.
Is extremely serious, just hard to go through. And it's
not a situation that that I or we take lightly whatsoever.
It's very serious. I understand the sensitivity of the situation
(24:00):
and we got it's clear we have work to do
to continue to figure this thing out. Here. Finally, NFL
media reports New Orleans Saints rookie first round offensive tackle
Trevor Pettings suffered what's believed to be a bad case
of turf toe Friday night against the Chargers. And we'll
have an m R. I Fellas back to you. Appreciate
that Illo, thank you for the updates, sir. And yes
(24:22):
it is week zero and we do have college football scores, Fellas.
Nebraska Northwestern are on their own Fox right now. Shots
out to a Fox for all the great things they do. Yes,
shameless plug for Fox. Uh Fox Sports? Uh? What what
what do you what do you guys thinking, like, what's
your biggest storyline in terms of this year? What are
(24:42):
you excited about. What are you looking for in this
college football season. I'm not gonna lie. I'm really looking
forward to uh in this later in the sea boat. No,
I'm looking forward to and then playing Alabama just because
of the riff with Jimbo and Nick Saban. Yeah, that's
I mean when you say big tim, the big Tent
is gonna always gonna be competitive? How State is the
(25:03):
best team? Is it gonna be fun? Is it gonna
be fun to always? You can keep you can keep
your little darts. You know you can keep your little
darts on you. I'm just saying they're the best team
in the big team. I would she would not be
surprising for how State I'm sitting over, had he totally disagree.
I'm just saying, who's gonna be? Hile State, who gonna be?
(25:24):
We're gonna be there. We gotta be a homely ship. Listen, Oh,
how State embarrassed us last year and they're gonna embarrass
the Columbus. How State, man, My word might be the word.
My boys will win the big team this year. When
that good, Now I'm gonna do some big I will
(25:46):
give Mail Tuckers pap. We are that good wrestle around.
I will give him, give him watch for Portal and
and some cash and to watch this. You sound like
you sound like saving. You know we used to say
about basic against State. Look, look, look when we was
(26:09):
at Pitts State when we hit Salt game, We've been
looking at the scout report. We see Saginaw, Virginia Beach Detroit. Hey.
We was like, hey these different. Look. Look, we was
making the joke. We were like, all right, dude, do
(26:30):
we got uh? Do we got much shots? Huh? Well,
Penn State have a better year? Well, we had a
better in terms of back this year. You know, this year,
will Penn State be a better football team? And put
that pressure on me. I was trying to talk conversation
(26:52):
about Michigan Me, he don't year. Here's what I'm Here's
what I'm gonna say about in State. We are some
of the best recruiters in the game. Are our recruiting
classes for the last five six isn't that show up
on the field. It kind of is showing up on
(27:15):
the field. The one thing that we have have have
needed to solidify as our offensive front, our offensive line. Um,
we lost a lot of senior leadership on that team
last year, so I'm curious to see we got some
studs on that team, but I think we'll be young
in a lot of positions. So I'm just curious, you know,
(27:37):
with with what we have, what we will look like.
But make no mistake about it, will will most likely
beat Michigan State. Will most likely beat Michigan. Um that
I'm I'm worried about trap games. We've been susceptible to
trap games, and I don't like that. But we are
susceptible to trap games and we still have yet to
beat Ohio State in in in the last few tries.
(27:59):
That to probably continue this year. But by the way,
for what it's worth, we are the most competitive team
against Ohio State in the Big tent. So hopefully we
figure it out that we're the most competitive team based
off of how how we lose to him, right said
(28:24):
I'm saying. I'm saying we, as in all the other
teams in the Big Ten, we have been the most
competitive to try to beat him. I mean, he only
lost his first game. You do know this, He only
lost his first game. The head coach, he only he
only lost his first game last year to Michigan. That
was his first loss as a head coach. You can
(28:45):
believe that is the team to beat Reivers, the team
the bottom. They might be the best team in the country,
let alone. We don't see when they gettings. That's what
we're gonna see. I can't wait what I'm looking forward
(29:06):
to it. It does sound topic cab bits spicy. It
does sound the tab bit spicy. I will say this,
I am super excited about the season to be I
am so happy that we have a game that matters
Day one for the Big Ten, Nebraska and Nebraska. Why Ireland,
(29:30):
Nebraska is gonna run through Northwestern today, that's my prediction. Huh. Well, well,
here's what's interesting is there's been a lot said about
UM obviously Scott Frost and what his future is in Lincoln,
so that should be interesting to watch. Ryan Fitzgerald has
been an amazing coach for the Wildcats and always seems
(29:52):
to be able to get more out of less. That's
going to be interesting to watch. And it's two Big
Ten teams, so it counts towards somebody get in one
game a hit and one game behind UM and the standing.
So that's I'm pretty pretty pumped up about that. Guys,
But I digress. You know, another another team I'll be
looking out for and wanting to see what goes on
(30:13):
is obviously Oregon State. I want to see how those
Beavers chew on would this year and and see how
you know that all play you know plays out for
them in the Pac ten I mean the Pact well
for now UM and then the Pac ten soon to
be UM. Do you think that the states are higher
for your team to perform um better so that they
could become more attractive to possibly go to another another
(30:36):
conference or absolutely the way college football has transformed into
a business publicly technique, meaning that everybody sees what's going on.
Now we were going to the highest bid of the
conference that can make us the most money. Yeah, absolutely,
every Every university needs to look at this as an audition,
so to speak, UM, to keep your university viable. That
(31:00):
that's just what it is. And so Oregon State without
having outside of baseball, that type of team in any
sport to be consistently good. Baseball has been good, women's
basketball has been good, men's baseball, women's basketball, but outside
of that, they haven't had any consistent team. And so
(31:21):
Jonathan Smith he when he was my quarterback. He's now
the head coach. He's getting the players in there that
that he wants is just now they gotta start performing,
uh up to their abilities. It's not gonna be easy.
It's gonna be interesting, though. How are they gonna How
are USC and U c l A gonna be treated?
Know when they're leaving to the Big ten, people will
(31:42):
never think this will happen. I just don't see them
getting many favorable calls. Every close call I believe it
was gonna go against him. Take that's a hot take,
t J. I really like that take. Man, Hey, Ryan,
make sure you clip this and and send this one
out there. Man. That's that's it. That is a great thing.
All the true schools are auditioning like I would. I
(32:03):
would assume that's gonna make college football even more fun
to watch because of the the You're not only competing
to try to be relevant to get into a ranking
or a playoff, you're competing for money. You're basically competing
for money now, like I need to be able to
get into one of these super developing conferences in Washington.
(32:23):
Those schools, because of the history, they'll be fine outside
of that. Who else Stanford is good in Olympic sports,
but they ain't been good in football since Andrew Luck
golf and women's basketball. Yeah, that's so, that's a great take.
You just go. It's gonna be tough. So they auditioning
who All right, this is up on Game. That's t J.
(32:46):
Hutchmen's out of that's Plexico Bursts. I'm Lavara Arrington. We're
gonna take a quick break and we're gonna wrap up
this first hour, and you know what, We're gonna wrap
it up with the Steelers to start, Plexico Bursts. Pick
his man, his main man, Majamma, Mitch Drabinsky. That's right,
But is that a mistake sho Jinny Pickett be getting
(33:07):
the ball? Should he be benched this year? I just
want to know. And we're gonna talk about it on
the other side of this break. You're listening up on Game.

All right, welcome back into the show. This is up
(33:51):
on game Plexico Burr's t J. Hushman Zada. I'm LaVar
Arrington uh in Pittsburgh, guys, Mitch Drabinski is starting the
final preseason game. This means one or two things. One
they're either about the name Kenny Pickett. I told you
you're saying Mason Rudolph, it don't matter. I said, it's
(34:15):
it's hard for me to believe that Mitchell Trubisky is
the best option at quarterback for the Pittsburgh Stills. An
I did said that, and you know what that means.
If he's starting the last preseason game, that means he's
not going to be the opening day starter. You're starting
quarterback where you're giving him the opportunity to continue to him,
(34:37):
I'm not mistaken, Um, the starting quarterback does not starting
the last some preseason games. Yesterday and quite a few
starting quarterbacks started. I'm just saying to me, it might
be he's getting ready for this. It's easier. It's easier
to bench Mitchell Troubisky than it is to say Kenny
(35:01):
Pickett's not playing well. After week six, They're gonna give
Mitchell Trobiski at least three to four games. And if
he does not play, yes, and if he does not
play well, it will be Kenny Pickett's job. If he plays,
if he plays, Believe Mike Tomlin's mindset is to really
proved to Kenny Pickett and himself and the team that listen,
(35:23):
you are are guy moving forward. As in Mike Thomlin
made the playoffs every year he's been well. No losing
season is correct, and they are anticipating this being first Roger,
he had a phenomenal See we had a great run
game and great deal start Kenny Pickett first time for everything. Tomlin,
(35:48):
huh starting I think I think it would be not
not in that division. You want Pittsburgh ridden all over him.
Not in that division. He has depitted me of what
a starting quarterback for the be toughing that North place.
Baltimore gonna be much better than they worry. They were
good like it's a defensive conference. There's no doubt about it.
(36:08):
The baby Tyler Vonnes wearing that that a d in Pittsburgh,
they don't look tough out there. He nice, ain't he?
He looked nice. You know, I'm gonna have to connect job.
You know, he's from from out this way, you know,
you know, I'm from these parts. That's gonna be an
uphill battle for him. Man, with the depth they have
at receiver. They do have some depth. But he's been
(36:29):
looking good in the priests. And one thing about the
Pittsburgh still is when it comes to scouting and traffic,
they always find a gym wide receiver. Yes, they do
shout out, you know, hey, I'm gonna have to be
a homer. You know what's crazy because people say that
all the time, and that is very true about the Steelers,
that they do a hell of a job with receivers.
(36:51):
But so do the Bengals. Yes, they do. Like it's
really crazy, like the ste lose. They canna always have
a good receiver, It doesn't. They just do a really
good job. And people have said that lately, and then
I thought about and the Bengals do. It's just that
(37:11):
earliest two thousand part where they didn't really have a
whole bunch of this is what the Pittsburgh Stills do
every year. I think of no other team does the
hater Hey, this is the one thing that the Stealers
do every year. I don't think any other NFL team build.
They draft on wide receiver every year. They do do that,
(37:31):
they draft for and then they go find those those
drafting them in the first round. They were in the
first round though they died, But does that mean that
they'd be popping off like because they you know, didn't
go as early as they like for them. Now at
the four years they started hagging out with h you know,
(37:53):
Kanye West and all of them. You know how that goes. Anyway,
you're listening up for a game, legendary moment, a whole
lot of stuff coming up. Hour to O
