couple of months. You might if I go back in
time a couple of months, Brady Quinn, alright, because I
(01:33):
just want to tell you a story. So it was
early on in the football season, and it was a
Saturday evening and I'm on a walk with my son.
He's got one of these little like these little cars
you push him in and you know, it's nice out
and he just kind of we're hanging out. It's like,
you know, early evening. Yeah, And I also have kind
(01:56):
of my phone propped up because I was walking saching
a big time game that was on and again a
Saturday evening. No, no, no, I didn't, but I had
a lot of interest in this game because it was
a great matchup to start out the year. It was
Ohio State and Notre Dame. And so I'm kind of,
you know, peaking at this and then I see like
Jackson Smith and Jigba, you know, comes up lame a
(02:20):
little bit like there was some sort of an issue,
like an injury or whatever, and then I just it
occurred to me a few minutes ago. I've really seen
him much since then for some reason for Ohio State,
and I'm starting to look and go, well, he's he's
kind of appeared in a couple of games, like the
Iowa game and then he played a little bit against Toledo.
(02:40):
But he just and I'm assuming they're playing for a
national title that he would be a part of this
run for a championship for the Ohio State Buckeyes. That
would be my assumption, since they're playing for a national
title because they did make the College Football Playoff and
those semi final games aren't until the end of the month,
So like I would assume we'd all be ready to go.
(03:03):
And as it turns out, now that'll do it. So
do you run for Jackson Smith? And Jigba the stud
receiver from Ohio State has come to an end. He's
gonna go ahead and focus on his NFL career and
get ready for the draft. And that's a wrap on
a disappointing final season for him in Columbus. What the hell, man,
the hell's going on here? I'll tell you what it is.
(03:25):
Be very blunt with this. Okay, agents are getting dug
into these kids while they're in college and they're persuading
them not supply that is the bottom line. Once you
showcase the ability to play at the next level, they
start to sign with these agents or they have a
wink wink nod not agreement because technical you can't sign
with an agent um but where you can sign with
(03:47):
an agent and this is the ancestuous I guess world
that you're living in college football. You can't sign with
a contract agent for once you get to the NFL,
but you can't sign with that agency for marketing for
an n I L. So, so think about that for
a second. If you're an agency that once this player,
once they get you know, out from college and go
(04:07):
into the draft, you can't sign with them for your contract,
but you can you can't sign with them to do
marketing for you while you're in college. So that decision
has already been made as far as who he's signing
with now as he heads into the draft, and so
he's receiving advice from that agency, from that group as
to how he should proceed in college football. And so
it's one of two things. Either it's that or he
(04:29):
has the worst hamstring injury in the history of hamstrings,
Like since God first made Adam and Eve and created
their hamstrings, he has somehow throughout humanity the worst hamstring
injury we have ever seen in the history of the world,
which I highly doubt, and and so it irks me,
(04:50):
it bothers me that you know, this young man has
the opportunity to play for a national championship, which should matter,
and instead he's opting out to look onto his future,
which which is great. Look, your future is gonna be
the regardless, all right, if you're worth like wondering how
bad is hamstring injury be? Give me a break, Like
(05:11):
I'm not even sure that any sort of insurance policy
out there would exist to make a hamstring injury worse.
Like usually when you go into those bowl games, you
can get an insurance policy where if you get injured
in your draft stock is impacted by that, you can
get paid out millions. I had one that would have
paid me fourteen point four million dollars going into my
(05:33):
final year and enter name, And that was back in
two thousand and six. I can only imagine what it
is now. So there's all sorts of ways of protecting
yourself financially. A lot of times the schools will do
it for you because they have the funds available to
do so, and your your agents that are helping you
will help you find those policies to protect you. So
if you're really about ball, if you're really about winning championships,
(05:55):
you could have it all set ups. You don't have
any concerns whatsoever walking on the field. It's a potentially
facing an injury. So there is no explanation outside of
he's gotten advice from an agent that he showcased enough
that he's gonna be drafted and he just need to
play anymore at the college level. And I would sit
there and say anyone who wants to refute that or
(06:16):
wants to say, oh, you're being hard on this kid.
At some point you have to know what these kids
are about, what their true intentions are, because when they
get to the NFL level like that only goes so far.
And I think he's the type of kid by the way, that,
based on his film, looks pretty good a year ago,
obviously didn't do anything this year. I don't know that
he's a four or four forty guy. He's probably a
(06:36):
high four or four guys not the fastest. He's not
the biggest. He's six ft one pounds. So it's gonna
impact is draft stock now. The only thing that helps
his draft stock is k Shawn Bouette at an l
s U, who was you know, draft eligible, could have
been one of the top guys at A He didn't
have great film either. He actually just declared to come
back for another season at L s U. Marvin Harrison Jr.
(06:58):
His teammate who's better than him and is a better
draft prospect than him. He's probably gonna win the politicof
this year for the best receiver in college football. He's
not draft ols well yet, He's gonna wait another year.
So the best thing he has going for him is
the fact that he could still get drafted high because
it might not be a very deep class for the
wide receiver position because of you know, some of the
(07:20):
guys that are out there, the season they had, etcetera.
I mean, he you know who's great last year he
had ninety five catches, he had over six yards, like
he put up the numbers. But I think that like
here's where people are gonna maybe push back, But I
know what you're saying, and I agree with you. People
are gonna say, well, you know, it's his choice, he's
looking out for his future. Okay, that's fine. But this
(07:40):
felt like this was a three month build, Like it
felt like he was maybe kind of well, I'm trying
my hardest, trying my hardest. Man, I'd love to be back,
I'd love to play, I'd love to participate. And I
would just imagine if there's probably guys in that locker
room or maybe coaches on that staff that are like,
are you serious, like like this is still going on
and then ultimate le this is what they ended up
(08:01):
deciding to do. Yeah, we're just going to focus on
our NFL career. I think that's the problem. Like, look,
Christian McCaffrey, Leonard four Nett not wanting to play in
their Bowl game or not wanting you know, as you know,
and I remember they were getting a little bit of
heat from some people. But it's like, all right, they're
running backs, they've taken a beating. They're not playing for
national championships. This is for a national champion And it's
(08:25):
not like they did this months in advance. I mean,
this injury occurred on September three, like it wasn't a
season ender. Like he came back a couple of weeks
later and then he appeared he had a catch against Iowa,
you know, in October. It's like, at some point, what
are we doing here? Like that? I think that's the
part that would probably piss a lot of people off
(08:47):
and probably rub a lot of people the wrong way.
So I I just don't buy the whole We'll let him.
You know, it's his future. He can do what he wants. Okay,
that's fine, But at the same time, kind of a
bad look. And I would imagine if you're one of
these NFL teams and you're having a conversation with them
at the pre draft meetings, isn't this something you're gonna
be asking them about for sure? And here's here, here's
(09:07):
the one of the deeper issue too, for Buckets fans
out there, and I think for any other school out
there that's got, you know, players that you know are
playing for a team that has a shot at winning
a national championship or at least on one of those
Bluebud teams that's in contention for it. It's one of
the reasons why Michigan's kicking your ass the past two years.
It's because I think there's more of a concern about
your draft status, your draft stock for these guys at
(09:29):
Ohio State right now, as opposed to trying to win
a national championship and understanding that with winning a championship,
all good things are gonna come from that. You know.
One of the things that I talked to you know,
Matt and Reggie about when they went on that kind
of historic run their USC is you know, they had
guys getting drafted left and right and left and right,
and and you could sit there and say, well, they
(09:49):
were really talented team, and they were, but you know
what helps make you look a little bit even better
than you are when you win a national championship, like
when you're when you're a part of championship caliber winning
teams and may so you look even a little bit
better than you actually are. And a lot of those guys,
I don't say a lot, but someone got overdrafted. They
were drafted higher and they should have been, but it's
because they had the the gold shiny luster of of
(10:11):
a national championship or back to back national championships kind
of you know, surrounding them and wind streaks surrounding them.
So it's just you know, to to me, like looking
at that, I hate it for the game. I hated
for all his teammates, his coaches, everyone else who's sacrificed
and has done the exact opposite. You know, guys who
have played through injuries. And it was Tommy, I Getberg.
(10:33):
I think their linebackers, and one of them was playing
with like broken thumbs. It's just the whole thing is nuts.
He's got two broken thumbs. Yeah, well one of them
was playing with like two broken thumbs. And I could
have to me up literally like just tap me up,
let me go, coach. You have guys who are sacrificing
like that, then you have other guys who just go
out there and they find a you know, a life
vest and they jump overboard like I'm good, I'm gonna
(10:55):
go away for someone else coming. I look at DeVante Smith.
So DeVante Smith not only so he wins the heisman,
it's the COVID year. He wins the heisman, still decides
I'm gonna play in the National championship game. They go
to the College Football Playoff. He plays in the National
Championship Game. He gets banged up in that game. No regrets, no, no,
(11:16):
should I have done it? Should I not have done it?
And what is he like a five pounds like and
still was out there and got drafted? And is it
is a pretty damn good NFL receiver? I just yeah, man,
I don't know. And then that was the year, if
any year, that you were going to go ahead and
excuse a guy who was going to be picked near
the top of the draft. The COVID year they were
giving everybody an out. That guy didn't take the out
(11:38):
and was still there and still playing and got injured
but wore it and then went to the next level.
By the way, Jalen Smith, didn't Jalen Smith Smith having
a like a he had something like that set up
when he got injured in the Bowl game? Didn't he
have like what was it like eight to ten million
dollars or something like that. Yeah, And then then, by
the way, like that's the thing that rubs me the
(11:58):
wrong way to is eight time your cre cool of
someone who's in this position you're gonna get Some people
are like, well, you don't know that family, you don't
know that kid, you don't you know what I don't.
All I know is my experience when I decided to
come back for an additional year, could have could have
gotten drafted after my junior year. Decided not. They decided
to come back risk whatever injury risk, whatever came along
with that, and made sure I had an insurance policy
(12:18):
is set up to protect me, which, by the way,
now universities pay for it. Didn't used to be like that.
You know, back then, I had to take out that
insurance policy myself. The premium on that alone was two dollars.
So think about that, like, I'm leaving school at that time,
having debt that I had to pay off purely because
(12:39):
I wanted so badly to come back, to get my degree,
to try to win a national championship, to be with
my teammates, all those things. And yet I didn't pay
that off as soon as I got enough money from
playing in the NFL because I wanted that additional opportunity
to do all those things right, a chance of doing
all those things. So if you feel like I'm being
unfair and being critical right now, kick row box because
(13:00):
you don't know what the hell you're talking about. Don't
kick him too hard. You might hurt your hamstring. And
we've seen that can really derail an entire season, so
I would I would advise you not to do that. Also,
again going back to the creation of Adam and Eve,
it might be the worst hamstring injury we've ever seen.
I mean, he's got to have cotton candy for hamstrings,
you ever, Like Caleb Williams was limping through an entire
(13:21):
half of football in the Pactrol Championship game, playing with
what is described to be a much more significant hamstring y,
probably playing in the Cotton Bowl at least as it
looks right now, and yet trying to fight as has
no reason to be out there. The kid already has
the Heisman locked up, he's already gonna be the number
one overall pick draft most likely, and yet he's doing
(13:41):
it sacrifice for his team. Like there's one example of
the by the way, a direct relation to a hamstring injury,
where one guy is trying to play through it for
his team and another guy doesn't even want to have
a shot to go play for a national championship. Are
you kidding me? By the way, the transfer portal, I mean,
what are we doing here? I mean, so it started
yesterday and this is going to continue on for like
(14:03):
another another month or so, and so we've got what
hundreds of players. Now, it's like the like the record
setting transfer portal days. Let me give you the numbers. Yeah,
going to the one of the actual numbers. Give me
the numbers specifically. Um, let's see, so this was yesterday,
at one point seven players into the transfer portal, just yesterday,
(14:24):
just yesterday, six or three of which are were quarterbacks.
I believe the number now is at sixty four quarterbacks
have entered the transfer portal, and I want to say
the number from yesterday is over a thousand. Now here's
some stats to this that I'll inform people. The players
who entered last year in the portal were not placed.
(14:47):
They literally went the portal, couldn't find a home. So
you know, no one's tracking that go back correct the potentially.
But once you put your name in the portal, the
school is not subject to honoring your scholarship, paying for
your tuition, room and board and all of that. Once
you make that decision, okay, they can kick you out
(15:10):
on the street. You don't have to be any part
of the team. Man. So that's that's the difficulty of
this for teams is some schools have a policy where hey, look,
if you want to put your name the portal, so
be it. But understand this. Once you do it, you
can't come into the facility. You gotta clean out your locker.
You know, you gotta you gotta move out. You gotta
(15:31):
go back home with your parents, go back home with
your family. We're gonna take that scholarship. We're gonna use
this for someone else who wants to be here. I mean,
I will say this though, there is an upside to
all this if you do transfer, Like here's an example.
Let me just throw somebody out there, like Spencer Rattler.
You know, like, if you're Spencer Rattler and you enter
the transfer portal, next thing, you end up in South Carolina.
(15:52):
You finish off your season with big time wins over
top eight teams like Tennessee and Clemson. Plus you basically
have another by week, another wind coming up in the
gat Or Bowl against Notre Day. So I just like
that feels like you know that, oh yeah, someone started
taking them so but but but I know there's other
people in this conversation who don't have the balls to
(16:14):
show up and watch their game. Cocks listen, get absolutely smoked.
I saw South Carolina playing a bowl game against Yukon
and it was an absolute disaster. So I I and
I have no interest in wanting to go see South Carolina.
That sounds like a man, don't you worry about it?
Like leave my cocks to me? Okay, like you don't.
You don't need any part of that right getting ready
(16:36):
for that game? But are you're gonna gamble on that game?
Or are we're gonna place a wager on that game
or what Notre dame South Carolina? What do you want
to bet? What are we thinking here? Like, we got
some time to think about it. Okay, I don't think
we need to like put ourselves in a corner right
now and figure this out this specific bet out right.
That's a great point. Well, I mean, speaking of time,
it is time to stop treating your groins like junk.

important questions in the world of sports and beyond, and

here on the air, So we'll do that for you

(18:01):
By the way, any first responder will tell you never
try to beat a train after breaking it could take
a mile for a train he completely stops when you
come to a rail crossing stop because trains can. So,
the New York Jets have made a decision at quarterback.
Mike White Volume three. Mike White is back. Mike White
will be the starting quarterback for the Jets coming up
this weekend. And the plan though, according to Robert sala
(18:26):
is that at some point this year, they're going to
try and get Zach Wilson back on the field. That's
the plan. But Mike White, coming off the loss at Minnesota,
is going to be your starting quarterback at the Buffalo
Bills coming up this weekend. So there it is, Brady
Quinn Mike White Volume three for the j T S Jets. Jets, Yes,
this weekend at Buffalo. Here we go. Yeah. Look, he
(18:47):
he didn't play his best football, at least not what
he did a couple weeks ago over the depleted Bears,
but um still at least in the passing game. From
that standpoint, it seems to give them a little better chance.
It seems to be a little further along and his
maturation process in the NFL. And rightfully so, he's been
in the NFL longer than Zack Wilson. I Look, I'll
stand by what I've said before. I think Robert Sale
(19:10):
has kind of botched this whole scenario because they're still
if the playoffs were today, I believe there's still the
seventh seeds, so that they'd still be the final spot
in the playoffs, making it UM. My issue is if
they end up not being a playoff team and let's
say get the nine wins or whatever they get to,
yet they have all this indecision about the quarterback spot
(19:32):
heading into the off season, what have you ultimately accomplished?
Like this season to me, was all about Zach Wilson,
this team taking the next step because it is a
talented roster. They've battled through adversity with some injuries, and
they've exceeded expectations. Right, the total win loss total was
five and a half wins before the season. They've already
surpassed that um and and now they're in a position
(19:54):
where if they can make it in the playoffs, they
far exceeded expectations of anyone out there. But if they don't,
then you find yourself in this position where you can't
replace Zach Wilson with drafting another quarterback. You can maybe
look to the free agent market, but what once was
looking promising and maybe Jimmy Garoppolo being a guy you
want to go after. Now he's dealing with a broken foot,
(20:17):
and I think everyone would would be curious as to
if you're gonna go pay him or bring him in
when he's had all these injuries concerns his entire career.
And plus on top of that, you don't know that
Jimmy Garoppolo doesn't want to stand San Francisco. Before that
injury this past week, they were talking about keeping him
in San Francisco. So I just I feel like they
(20:37):
find themselves in no man's land in regards to the
quarterback spot. If this season doesn't work out where Mike White,
you could take them to the playoffs, or I guess
maybe Zach Wilson comes in and can save the day
and take them to the playoffs. But the division is
so competitive, and I do think you've got now what
could be a really interesting AFC North finish, only because
(20:58):
not necessarily the Browns, I mean, they're not math aadically limited.
I don't count them as part of it. But the
Steelers are picking up steam. The Baltimore Ravens still are
finding a way to winning games, even though Lamar Jackson's
gonna be out most likely this week, maybe a couple
of weeks with that knee injury, but they're still in
the playoff hunt. Obviously, the Bengals look fantastic, so it's
gonna things will look at a little different now in
(21:19):
the a f C North, where they might start competing
for some wild card spots. And you've got more divisional
playing in the a f C East, so those teams
are naturally gonna start beating each other up. You know,
Mike White gets gets the joy of trying to go
up against the Buffalo Bills in Buffalo this week, so
good luck with that. By the way, I hate to
correct you like this on the air because you're my guy,
you know that, and I don't want to do this.
(21:40):
This is I feel like an a hole for doing this.
But I think you've got a couple of numbers confused,
because you know, I did sort of bring you into
the sports betting world, the get the dark side, the
dark underbelly of of sports betting and live wagering and
all that. But I think you've got something confused. You
said that the Jets over under wind total was five
and a half off that's that's not entirely true that
(22:04):
that was actually the number of backup quarterbacks they we're
gonna face this year. So I believe we're approaching the
over on that as well too, So I just I
wanted to clear that up here on the air to
make sure you make sure we were good with that.
And by the way, if you are a starting quarterback
for either the Bills, the Lions, the Jags, the Seahawks,
or the Dolphins, just put them in a bubble. All right.
(22:26):
Let's just everybody like try and play it safe, because
the New York Jets have had themselves a hell of
a run against backup quarterbacks this season. But you know,
don't bring that up to anybody because they get really
offended by it. I don't think so you mentioned there
were you know, the goal here was to figure out
whether or not you had a franchise quarterback. It's almost like,
and this is gonna sound crazy, but it's almost like
(22:48):
in that regard, a team like the Bears are in
a better spot heading into the off season than the
Jets because the Bears were in a similar spot. Do
we have a franchise quarterback or do we have a
guy that we believe we can build around and they've
gotten their answer. Yes, they do, like you can do
something with justin fields. So at least they know that
they've got salary cap space. They're kind of playing with
house money at this point. Well to your point, now
(23:11):
you get to the off season. First of all, I
don't think Zach Wilson's playing again this season for the
Jets outside of injury. I don't think it's happening because
Mike White is still winning games. All of a sudden,
You're gonna go from inactive, inactive and active all and
now he's going to be the starter again. You're just
this herky jerky let's throw a quarterback in. It doesn't
make any sense to me, and it would not surprise
(23:32):
me whatsoever if Zach Wilson is gone from the Jets
this offseason and they go in a different direction. Like
I've felt from the beginning that there was something more
going on here. Maybe they want to keep him healthy,
maybe they want to be able to trade him and
offload him in the off season. But I just don't
think we're gonna see Zack Wilson at anytime soon. And
I don't know why. Robert Sala keeps trying to sell
that one. It's it's probably the publicly give him some support.
(23:57):
Which again going back to what I said a few
weeks ago, like I don't think they ever should have
moved to Mike White. I thought it was imperative that
they allow Zack Wilson to go through some growing pains.
You have to go through with him. You drafted them
number two. Overall, you had to have understood that he
was an unfinished product and he needed to play in
order to become or you should, you know, get an
idea of what he can become. And that's the problem
(24:19):
is they find themselves now in this position where he's
you know, quote unquote getting better in practice, that's all BS.
And meanwhile they're trying to they're trying to keep their
playoff hopes alive, that's all BS. It's just it's it's
he needs live game rep the things he struggles with
he's not gonna face in practice, and that is some
(24:40):
two and sixty pound dude who's gonna knock your head
off while you're trying to decide where to throw the football.
Like that's where you get better when you're actually in
a live game. Scenario. You have to make those decisions
when you're throwing a red shirt, you know, red jersey
and practice, they can't touch you. You're not getting better.
That's not football, that's that's not live game reps because
are truly not threatened. So you know, again, the reps
(25:05):
he needs are are there on Sundays and he's not
getting them right now. And I think it only makes
their decision harder or they've already made up their their decision,
their minds and this is all just for the media
and it's all you know, being you know, thrown out there.
But by the way, this is I don't want to
say that it's not nothing, but it's not that big
of a deal maybe, but I do think it's kind
(25:25):
of an indicator as to where this team's at from
a team standpoint. Do you see what the Jets players
were doing when they were getting ready to play the
Vikings this weekend, when they walked into the game. What
they had on, Yeah, Mike White T shirts. All right.
We've seen this in the NFL before when Carson Wentz
(25:45):
got hurt the year after he came back when they
won the Super Bowl. Remember, Nick Foles was name starting quarterback,
and all of a sudden, like they had these st
nick candles lit up in the locker room, and all
the players seem to really be excited that nick Oles
was back as the starting quarterback. It feels to me
like the team has already kind of made their decision
(26:07):
on who they want to roll with. So the idea
that Robert Sala, who was looking out for the betterment
of the team, is going to take the guy that
everybody loves and shut him down and bring back the
guy that pissed everybody off and make him the starting quarterback,
the whole thing sounds like bs. It just none of
it adds up. None of it makes any sense whatsoever.
But you can't say that because if you do, you
(26:29):
just a hater. You're being negative, blah blah blah. But
it just it doesn't make sense whatever Robert Sala wants
to say. And I like Robert Salah, but just the
whole everything about it doesn't add up to me. And
so I just don't see how you go back to
Zach Wilson with you know, a handful of games left
and you're trying to make a push for a playoff run.
It just seems awkward to me, But hell do I know.
(26:51):
I'm with you, and I think it's tough too when
you see all these players supporting Mike White and and
I look, it's the T shirts. It is what it is.
People feel like, you know, it's a uh, say whatever
you want, Like it's a small gesture. It's it's meaningless.
I don't know, man, when you've got guys who are
our veteran leaders, whether it's Braxton, Barrios, cj Rsama, like
(27:12):
those guys who I think I have respect in the
locker room, they've been allowed to run the league for
a while, when they're out there kind of repping him,
I don't know. I wasn't saying it for Zack Wilson. Yeah,
what do you think as Zach Wilson saw when he
when he noticed those shirts on all those guys, how
do you think he had made him feel? Like? What
did we tell? You? Know? Like, I don't know. I'm honestly,
I think he's spending more time around some the Jets
(27:34):
fans moms right now. That is again a great point.
Happy Mother's Day to to everybody there that supports the
New York Jets fan base. By the way, fellas, it's

best demand can get two pros and a cup of Joe.
Here on Fox Sports Radio, it's Brady Quinn Jonas knock
at the by the way, you speaking of hockey, how's uh,
how's your brother? And like Jack Johnson doing in Chicago,
He's doing good. He's playing a lot. You know, it's
a great organization. All that A couple couple of things though,
as you kind of swerved in a different direction, Um,
did you see like the back and forth on on
(28:17):
what kind of became I guess, I guess more of
a thing than I should have been with Caleb Williams
and Max Duggan just apparently yeah, so someone had someone
had basically got on callb Williams for responding to I
guess the support for Max Duggan after the Big twelve
championship game, Yeah, crying, and Caleb Williams had kind of
(28:39):
just said lull like laughing at it. It was later deleted,
and then when kind of pressed more about it, he said, well,
I didn't get the same kind of treatment when you know,
I was, you know, crying after the game after losing
the Pactrol Championship game, which was it was kind of
interesting only because it was like, well, Max Douggan also
didn't you know, didn't paint a exploit explicit language on
(29:01):
his fingers f utah or f n D on his fingernails.
So I'm not sure anyone really cares or feels bad
for you, but yeah, it's uh, can I just say this,
and and we're going to talk about the Heisman Trophy
and just sort of the the finalists that made it
coming up the next hour here on the show. But
I'll just say this, Caleb Williams, in a matter of
(29:21):
a couple of weeks has become kind of unlikable. I'm
just just saying, like, dude, leave it alone. So people were,
you know, responding because you know, Max Duggan was crying
after a game and all of a sudden you've got
to be competitive about it and go to social media
on it after it. Just the the whole thing about
it just feels like you listen to Bryce Young after games,
(29:44):
could not be a nicer kid, could like, cannot be
a nicer guy. He's not out there going f Auburn
on his fingernails, and and he's accomplished a lot more
in college football than Caleb Williams has. And just the
whole just all of it, the whole aura, like every
think about it just kind of rubs me the wrong way.
I don't know, not not not a big fan when
it comes to that. But to your point, I mean,
(30:05):
he's gonna be the number one pick in the draft
next year, so maybe he can talk only once now
without next year, but in two years he's got to
come back for an additional year and look, he's gonna
win the Higsman. It doesn't, by the way, it doesn't
take away from what he is as a player. He's
a tremendous talent. This it just doesn't mean you have
to be an a hole, you know. Like another thing
is I don't know why he's he's got to respond
(30:25):
back to that. It's like, like I thought cam Rising's
response after what the factual pretty funny, was what was
very appropriate, you know, basically just when they asked him
about you know, what was painted on his fingernails. He's like,
I'm not gonna judge him. He can do whatever he wants.
He goes, you know, I hope he thought that was cute,
which you know, that's the kind of thing that like
I love about that kid. Like, that's the kind of
(30:46):
dude you want to you as your quarterback. You know,
let someone else do whatever they want. You know, I
don't know that he needs, Like what does he gained
by you know, making fun of Max Duggan, especially when's
gonna see him in New York for the Heisman. You
can make a case that Duggan's jet done just as
much for his team this season. Um, but you know,
especially considering they're both gonna be there for that award,
(31:07):
why do you need to take a shot at him?
It doesn't make any sense. It's weird. U two pros
and a cup of Joe. Fox Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington
Brady Quinn Jonas knocks No, LaVar, It is Brady and
I but LaVar might be joining us that moment. Well, Um,
something was yelled in my ear kind of threw me

Is there a new threat a new threat to one
side of the NFL. We'll get into that for you
here a little over ten minutes from now. Yeah. I
heard a ghost Face Killer remix for Christmas. It was
like a Christmas I don't have a Spotify playlist something
like that. It was one of the funniest things I've
(33:16):
ever heard in my life. Like I've now come to
realize when it comes to Christmas, every artist is a sellout,
like they all make Christmas out. Oh yeah, man, listen,
Mariah Carey could have never done anything in her career
except for that one song, and she gets royalties every
single year. Did we go over the number? I'm talking
about rapping hip hop, like even wrapping hip hop. There's
(33:40):
Christmas albums. Everybody loves it, man, I get that, but
I'm just saying, like, I feel like, do you not
lose a little street cred nuts Christmas? Everybody celebrates Christmas,
don't they? Well, for the most part, you know what
I mean like everybody celebrates the holidays. You know, you
kind of said that and then you're like, oh wait wait, yeah,
then I put that back in the holster there. Yeah,
you know Jehovah's Witness. Yeah, probably don't celebrate it much,
(34:02):
but you know, maybe they'll sneak in like a Christmas
tree sighting or something like you to look at a
Christmas tree. Go that counts. Don't celebrate. Some people don't
celebrate birthdays either. Yeah, that's true. That's why we don't
celebrate genice. Yeah, because we never know what it is.
By the way, happy birthday. I forgot to tell you that.
We're like, we're almost, yeah, we're almost you know, three
hour hour three of this program. I forgot to mention
(34:22):
Happy birthday to Brady Quinn. Here we are brought to
you by Discover. We could talk about how complicated other
banks make it to redeemed credit card rewards, or we
could talk about how we Discover you can redeem your
rewards for cash and any man at any time. I
mean talk about amazing learn more discover dot com slash
redeemed rewards terms apply. Would you rather your random topics,
(34:47):
sports or otherwise? Allrightley, delab What do we got? Quick note,
Maria Carey makes between six hundred thousand and one point
two million dollars every December alone. She's made over sixty
million in royalties off of All I Want for Christmas.
It's a great song. A song, yeah, real banger. All right?
Into would you rather? Guys? Would you rather take your
(35:09):
significant other with you on a guy's trip to the
lake or ditcher and being the doghouse for a week? Doghouse? Who? Yeah,
I'll go doghouse. Yeah, I guess where I'm at right now? Yeah,
I was going to say personal. I smelled very personally.
(35:30):
Battle Yeah, battle all right, man, No, yeah, I'm doing
I'm doing okay. So where'd you go? Well? I will
be going to uh go into the lake this weekend.
That's a guy's trip, but she want to tag along? Yeah,
she's a little upset that she didn't get the get
the invite? You did you propose, like, Hey, it's a
(35:55):
guy's trip, but if you really want to come, like
you know, we might need something to take care of
us to do this, this and this, Like you kind
of almost paid the picture, Like you'd be way more
happy being at home. Yeah, No, I I did try
those those tactics. She sees right through it, like, yeah,
they're bad. What else, guys? Would you rather find a
(36:18):
rat in your kitchen or a roach in your bed? Oh? God?
In the end, Um, I'll do a roach man. Okay,
here's the you're sleeping Okay, rats like yeah, like rats,
some cheese. I'm fine, he's not coming into my bed. Yeah,
(36:39):
but the problem they multiply so quick, and they're big
and like you actually, you know, sorry what you open
up like your wheeling rats multiple crap all over your
kitchen stuff. Yeah, Like, I'd rather find a cockroach man.
I can get rid of a roach fast, you know,
like you do with rats. You open up your wheaties
and there's like two or three lion inside of it.
(37:00):
It's a problem. I'll give him the wheaties. I'm not
inviting a cockroach to be a part of anything that
happens in that bed. I've had worse in my bed,
tell you that, so just roaches though not the first part.
All right, what else we got, Lee? Would you rather
lose your keys or your phone? Yeah? Yeah, key's all
(37:22):
the way at this point, right, you got everything in
your phone? Now, yeah, that's true, you don't even need
a wallet and you got you. I mean, let someone
else take your car to get good luck. The do
certain certain phones start cars? Now? Is that a thing? Really?
I mean, yeah, you get phones like open the card.
I wouldn't know cars a little old. Uh what else
we got? Lee? All right? Um? I was I was
(37:45):
on the fence about saying this one, but Roberto convinced me.
Would you rather walk in on your parents or your
parents walk in on you? The second? Suck that in
all the way, man, all the way. It's closet scarring
for the second. Awful. I'm gonna be honest with you
(38:10):
at this point, I take either. You know what. Fox
