no Brady Quinn, no LaVar Alright, listen, this is what

(01:51):
happens a couple of celebrities. Right. You got the College
Football Hall of Famer LaVar Arrington. I said it earlier.
He's being pulled in different directions. The guys over at
the Peach Bowl one minute, then he's gonna beat the
Rose Bowl the next minute. So you know, he's traveling
around the country. The stuff happens. Brady Quinn traveling around.
Reports are he's gonna beat the Gator Bowl between Notre

(02:11):
Dame in South Carolina, trying to work on some sort
of a bet, some sort of a wager him and
I can make on that game, obviously, him being the
Notre Dame Golden domer uh, me being uh, you know,
a guy who follows South Carolina closely from my time
in South Carolina and watching the game Cox. But that's
one of the better Bull matchups of the entire Bull season.
So we're trying to figure that about. But nonetheless, even

(02:34):
though they're not here, and you've got me and we've
got you, and we've got the crew, it still means
it's a football Friday. It's a day of football Friday
right here on Fox Sports Radio. You don't think so.
I got the proof for you here there it is. Yeah,
all right, yeah, football Friday. I'm not saying anyth again.

(02:58):
He all right, let's it. It's early, all right. I'm
not making any comments. It's Edny story to tell. I'm
not telling that story on the air, and if he
wants to tell it, he can do so at some
point during this show. But nonetheless, it is a football Friday.
We appreciate you joining us here. Whatever it happens, it's

(03:20):
a long week, it's the holidays. People make mistakes, not
my story to tell. But here is the story to tell.
And I was making this point earlier the Dallas Cowboys
and whatever you came away with last night means nothing.
It doesn't matter. I don't want to say that you
wasted your time watching that game last night because it

(03:42):
was better than the alternative. Now, we had a bunch
of Bowl games on a right, you had a bunch
of you had the Cheese At Bowl, you had some
other games out there, like it feels like Bowl seasons
really picked up, all right. But if you watch that
game last night, and if you have any takeaway, long
term takeaway, it's just it's like you're wasting your time.

(04:03):
There is no long term takeaway from that game. I
don't care about Dak Prescott throwing an interception, I really don't.
And I don't care about Dak Prescott tied for the
league leading interceptions, all right, so he's got the same
number of picks as Derek Carr does. Ask yourself, Hey,
who'd you rather be right now? Dak Prescott or Derek Carr.
I mean, you know, one guy's you know, hanging out

(04:25):
on the strip in Las Vegas or on Fremont Street
while his teams getting ready for a football game. The
other guy just won a game last night on the
road on a short week at Tennessee. Let me come
on like there's nothing you take away last night and
go all right, well this is you gotta this is
applicable long term. But nonetheless, let's hear from Dak Prescott.
Here was the Cowboys quarterback afterwards. We've won these games. Yeah,

(04:47):
I'm sure other than the overtime unfortunate interception return, we're
getting better and even when these bad plays happened, we're
able to move on. So I mean, I have no
no hesitation, no doubt in the men that we have
in this locker room. If you've heard me speak, that's
what I credit this team, and I give all the
compliments of the brotherhood and the culture and what we've
built here on now, there's probably a lot of you
out there, if you're a Cowboy hater that are going
to go how could you be proud of that performance

(05:08):
last night against Josh Dobbs and a bunch of injured
players on the Titans and a bunch of guys that
they were resting for next week. Look, they by definition,
they exceeded expectations the expectation was the Dallas Cowboys were
supposed to win that game by about twelve points. They did.

(05:30):
I get that there was a turnover here by Dak
Prescott that was a regrettable throw. I get that Micah
Parsons was walking around with like a giant Q tip
on his arm because he's got his his hand wrapped
up whatever the hell that was. And I get that
it was against Josh Dobbs, who was making his first
NFL start, and no Derrick Henry and all that fine,

(05:51):
but none of it matters, because all that matters is
the postseason for Dallas. That's just the reality. They're already
in the playoffs. They're not gonna win the division. They're
gonna have to go on the road in the opening round,
and they're probably gonna have to go on the road
in the opening round against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who
are not a good football team, and Dallas should win
that game. And I don't care that you look at

(06:12):
Tom Brady and go, but man, maybe look nothing that
you've seen from the Bucks this year leads you to
believe that Tom Brady and that team is going to
be any sort of a threat to Dallas, who's a
much better football team. I don't care that it's on
the road. You're playing in Tampa Bay, all right. It's
not like you're going to Juno, Alaska to play a
football game. You're playing in Tampa. What are you gonna

(06:34):
get eighty degrees and maybe a rain shower? Like, come on, man,
there's there's nothing intimidating about that. To me. It's not
even the end of this regular season. It's not the
beginning of the playoffs. It's when you get to that
divisional round. That's where you can start to judge his team.
And for what it's worth, the fact that the Cowboys

(06:54):
are even at that spot, I think it's an indicator
that they're a good football team. The fact that you
look at Dallas and you go, they're gonna be judge
based on what they do in the playoffs, that's an
indicator they're a good football team. Like if you were
to look around the NFL and say which teams are
judged based on what they do in the postseason, here's

(07:15):
what you come up with. Buffalo, Kansas City, Cincinnati, Baltimore, Like,
all those teams are gonna be judged based on what
they do in the postseason. I would argue San Francisco
and maybe Philly are the only other teams. What that

(07:35):
means is that those teams have already proven their top
of the food chain in the NFL, like they've already
proven we're good enough to get to this point. Everything
in the postseason is the real conversation. All of this
stuff is fluff. This is filler for sports TV and
debate shows and radio and hot takes and all this

(07:56):
other stuff, because they know if you generate a hot ache.
The Cowboy fan base is large, and a lot of
it is very sensitive, and so they'll get upset if
you say something wrong about him, and then somebody in
local Dallas media is gonna get angry about it and
they're gonna take it like we get all that, but
none of this matters. If you have a long term
takeaway on the Cowboys after last night, then you're you're

(08:19):
really reaching because it's not about this season. It's not
about the end of this season. It's all about the postseason.
And that's how the Cowboys are gonna be judged. Mike McCarthy,
Dak Prescott, etcetera, etcetera. That's how this stuff works. Jonas
Knox here Fox Sports Radio. All right, so we did
have a a special edition of over Unders yesterday on

(08:39):
the show, and it is as tradition every single Friday,
we like to look back on how we performed. And
even though LaVar and Brady aren't here, we'd like to
have a discussion about this because there's already some controversy.
So let's take a look back. Time to put your
money where your mouth is. You know, you lion, it's

(09:03):
over under all right, So lead the lap. I know
we had something special for yesterday because we did the
three bowl games. We also did a couple of picks
in this Cowboys Titans game from last night. So how
do we do? What are we looking at here? That's right?
You want to start one off with some NFL or
with some Yeah, let's go with the NFL first, alright,
So that's where the controversy is really. We had started

(09:26):
off with passing yards for Malik Willis. We had thought, uh,
yesterday morning that he would obviously get the start in
for Ryan Tannehill who has since been placed on I R.
But actually they put in Joshua Dobbs, who was picked
up off the Lions practice squad only I think eight
days ago, eight nine days ago. He uh, he surpassed
a hundred forty nine and a half over under with

(09:47):
two thirty two. But nothing we could do about that
because he's not Malique Willis, because he's not Maliks. By
the way, if you're Molique Willis, are you're looking around going?
But really, guy just got of here that thought about
a humbling moment um? All right? So who had one
who picked the over on Malik will Is passing or under? Well,

(10:09):
the pros took the under on one night and a
half of jonas, you took the over, alright. But here's
the problem. And I can already tell you, and I'm
gonna call my shot, and it'll be Brady, because he's
the ball buster when it comes to this stuff. He's
going to say, well, he didn't play, so that counts
as the under, which is a bunch of crap. But
let me tell you what the problem is. I'm already

(10:29):
seeing this example be set by gambling sites around the country.
And take it from somebody who's been gambling on sports
for like twenty years and has lost a lot of bets.
If you're one of these gambling sites, out here and
you're like giving people their money back because a player
gets injured or something happens early in the game. Just
stop stop doing that. I get it. It's a good

(10:53):
faith because you want to you want to set up
a good rapport with you with new people who are
getting into the betting market. But you're setting a bad recident.
What should happen is that nobody wins this bet. Because
Malik Wills didn't play, it shouldn't count. But I can
Karen tu Brady Quinn when we discuss this, when those
guys get back, because he is a ball breaker to

(11:16):
the Max is going to say, well, no, sorry, I
mean he didn't he didn't play, so that counts as
the under. So we get the point. I can almost
guarantee you that's how this is gonna go. Oh absolutely,
it's disgusting, man. But now do you think betting sites
would they have already paid back on this on this
over under. It wouldn't surprise me. I mean, like or

(11:38):
they they'll in this in this case at Malik will.
Let me tell you what betting sites would do nowadays,
because there's so much, so much competition, they're trying to
lure you in It's like when you go to uh,
like like a tourist attraction, or you go to like
or if you're walking in down the strip in Las Vegas,
there's these guys who hand out these pamphlets and they're

(11:58):
like all these like hey, for forty nine dollars, call
this number and she'll come to your room. And it's
like she shows up, she never looks like what's on
the picture, and uh, you know, she's got whips, chains
and uh you know, some guy on a dog leash
in front of her. And it's like, all right, why
I didn't ask for two people? I thought it was one.
And you don't look at anything like what's on the pamphlet.

(12:19):
But the point is they're trying to get you to
wanna you know, like, hey, this is what we're offering.
Like remember we were walking down when we're in Vegas
for the Draft, and we were walking down looking to
get a beer. Every place, like a little small place
that we walked by, they were all offering something like, Hey,
come inside, Hey we got this. We got It's like
it's the oldest trick in the book. That's what some

(12:40):
of these gambling sites are doing. Hey, if you bet
with us. We're gonna feel bad for you if some
guy you start or somebody you bet on gets injured
or something happens early on, so we're gonna give you
your money back. That's a terrible presence to set, and
I think that's what a lot of gambling sites are doing.
I don't think it'll apply here because he never played,
but it would not surprise me if something like that happens.

(13:02):
And I guarantee you Brady's going to break our balls
about it. I can. I will call my shot on that.
What else we got, just gotta get him in the door,
all right. Next one up was sex for Michael Parsons.
The bros went against you on this one to Jonas.
They went over on a half for his sex. But
you were correct on this one, Jonas. He did not
get a sack. He did get two quarterback hits, but
you were correct on the under for Michael Parsons, SA.

(13:22):
So what did he did he recover? So he recovered
a fumble, but that was not a strap strip sack
on him. That was just, uh, by the way, I
don't I was that the best they could come up
with with whatever injuries got on his hands. They sent
him out there with a club on his hand. Like,
that's the best they could come up with, Like, in
modern technology, what everything else going on? The best they

(13:45):
could come up with is here, let's put a cast
on his hand and make it seem like he got
his his you know, his forearm bit off by some
shark and and set him out there. Odd, well, you're
giving him a weapon. Yeah, I mean, but you know
they were in helmets. They should be fine. But all right,
well listen, I mean two quarterback hits. He had a
tackle on a fumble recovery. But hey, that's a win

(14:06):
for me. I'll take it. What else we got, lee?
All right? Then we did some some Bowl action last night.
We we talked a little bit about it earlier in
the show. Minnesota versus Syracuse and the Pinstripe Bowl low
over under at forty four, but they hit the over
back door cover there, baby exactly. You and Brady both
at the over on this one. Hell yeah. Then we

(14:27):
also had the Cheese at Bowl Oklahoma versus Florida. Say
everyone was bullish on this one at the over under
at sixty five. It just squeaked over that Florida State
winning thirty two field goal. There's a field goal with
like forty three seconds left or something like that, and
then a little cheese at bath after that. Yeah, and
then I know, I know, uh, I know Roberto loves

(14:49):
the cheese. I listened. He's the one person on the
face of the planet that doesn't like cheese. It's it's
like that is It's like, I've never met anybody that
doesn't like you rather cheetos and cheese. It's that's not
an awful take. It's not lee Well, the awful take
is say that cheese. It's are awful first of all, cheese.

(15:10):
It's taste better than cheetos, and you don't and you
don't get the cheeto dust on your hands afterwards, Like
I mean, that's just nasty, man. Like that's like like
you eat a bag of Cheetos and it's like you're
cleaning at the bottom of a bird cage. Like it's
just like it's a sticky it's got this weird residue
to it. That all right, what else we got? Lastly?

(15:31):
We had the Alamobile between the Texas, the Ala Mobile,
the Valero Alamobile between Texas and Washington over under set
at sixty seven and a half way below on the under.
Everybody had had taken the over on this one Washington Under,
so nobody wins that one. Yeah, that's too bad. Otherwise
I would have had it like a really decent night,

(15:51):
right you. Well, it's gonna be controversial. We're gonna have
to come back to this next week. But right now
you're at three and two. So is Brady Lavars two
and three. But it could be adjusted obviously because of
three and two that one shouldn't count. That would make
you three and one. Just gonna make my math so
much fuzzier. And then I'm gonna get so much crap
about you know how this works. Come on, man, this

(16:12):
is uh, it's not your first rodeo. This other stuff works,
all right. It is two pros, thank you, Lye. That
is the update on over unders here. So we'll deal
with that controversy when those guys get back next week. Uh,
it is two pros and a cup of Joe here
Fox Sports Radio. Jonas knocks with you here. You can
hang out with us as always on the I Heart
Radio app. All right, So coming up next, there's a
very interesting situation in the NFL this weekend, and it's

(16:36):
really not a very kind indication as to how two
organizations are performing. We'll have that for you right here
on fs are. Be sure to catch live editions of
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn,
LaVar Arrington and Jonas Knocks week days at six am Eastern,
three am Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the I

(16:57):
Heart Radio app. Two Pros and a Cup of Joe
a Fox Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn not here,
just Jonas Knox with you. Will take you all the
way up until nine am Eastern times, six o'clock Pacific
coming up in we'll call it. We'll call it about
ten minutes from now, maybe less than ten minutes from now.
It's just they were trying to really sell you on

(17:20):
something during Thursday Night football on Amazon Prime. It was
a small detail, just a small detail last night. I'm
gonna go ahead and point out why there's a flaw
with the detail that they were trying to sell you
on Al Michael's and Kirk curb Street and Company there
on Amazon Prime. We'll get into that for you here
coming up and again probably a little less than ten

(17:43):
minutes from now, from the entire act dot Com Studios
so there's a game that's probably getting overlooked a little bit,
and for good reason. It involves one team that's not
very good. But it's kind of an interesting predicament. Like
if I were to go around, if you were to
look around sports, and if you are near one of
these places, it's got two teams in the same city.

(18:05):
I mean, you could go around anywhere you can clearly
identify who the team of that city and of priority is.
Like if you were going to go to New York
and you're talking about football. Not to piss off Jets fans,
who are also a very sensitive bunch, but the Giants

(18:25):
are the team in New York. Like, that's the majority
of the people. When you're looking at the Giants and
the Jets, they root for the Giants. If you were
going to go in the NBA and you were gonna
look you know, I mean, you name it, go go
to New York. If you're looking at the Knicks or
you're looking at the Brooklyn Nets, Brooklyn might be a
better team. There's more Knicks fans there. They just are

(18:47):
like that, that's just a fact. If you're looking at
the Mets and the Yankees, man the Mets are interesting.
I mean, they might may or may not sign a
player who's got some sort of an injury history and
it's eating scandal in his background and give him like
three million dollars. But the Mets are very interesting. That's
a Yankees town, alright. Like go to Chicago, man, the

(19:10):
White Sox can win ten World Series in a row.
It's always going to be a Cubs down. It just is.
Al right. If you go to l a and we're
talking basketball, the Clippers have been better than the Crumby
Lakers for years, but it's still a Laker town. But
when the Rams and Chargers are playing this weekend, I

(19:31):
don't know. I'm not really sure. I gotta be honest
with you. I have no idea, Like I really am
not entirely sure what the hell is going on. I
I don't know. Uh, maybe it's the Chargers because they
are a better team this year. Maybe it's the Rams.
Maybe it's like one of those times where you and

(19:52):
your buddy, I think you have an unspoken agreement as
to who's going to be the designated driver, and you
don't both end up getting wasted and you look at
each other at the end of the day and go,
all right, who's driving? Not me? Okay, I guess we're
taking a cab. I have no I am fascinated to
see what the split is going to be in that game,
because the Rams just want a Super Bowl. I know
it's been a down season. I get all that, but

(20:15):
you would still think that there's probably a majority Rams fans.
Although the Chargers are a more exciting team, and they're
they're you know, they've got a better quarterback and they've
got a better situation moving forward. It's just one of
those weird spots that you find yourself in. And look,
our friends listening on the blowtorch AM five seventy l
a sports whatever anybody tries to sell you on the

(20:36):
freeway series between the Angels and the Dodgers can stop.
Just stop, all right. And by the way, for those
of you listening around the country, I don't know the
exact mileage from Dodger Stadium to Angel Stadium because you're
probably thinking to yourself, oh my god, they're right up
the road from each other. The mileage doesn't work out

(20:57):
here in southern California. It's all about time aim spent
on the freeway. Right. There's this thing called TSL in radio,
it's called time spent listening. There should be a thing
called t SF time spent on freeway. That's how we
judge how far away things are. Mileage doesn't matter anywhere

(21:17):
else in the country. You could be twenty miles away
from something and it's like I'll be there in like
twenty minutes. That's cool, no problem. You're twenty minutes. You're
twenty miles away from something in l A. And you
could be looking at a two hours square in the
eyes depending on when you leave. So like this whole well,
I'll be the Angels and the Dodgers. It's it's the
Freeway series. It's just you hop on the freeway right there.

(21:39):
Not really. There's a reason why Amtrak is still in
business in southern California because a lot of people don't
want to sit on some crowded freeway when there's a
fender bender and you've got a bunch of rubber neckers
and look you lose going, Oh my god, what happened
in that accident? Nothing? Keep driving your gases on the right.
And anybody listening on the blowtorch AM five in the

(22:00):
l A Sports you know what I'm talking about. So
I have no idea what the split is gonna be
crowd wise at so far this weekend between the Rams
and the Chargers. No clue. But I know somebody who
would have a clue, and that's this man himself that
wanted only Eddie Garcia for the Latest in Sports, Edmund.
You know, this show is so so good it just
flies by, you know, I mean, all right, do you

(22:21):
want to talk about it? I wasn't gonna bring it
up on the I was. I was. I was informed that, um,
maybe you know, you might have gotten confused as to
what time you were leaving. That's what I was told
that on the air or behind the scenes. But he
got a three day weekend coming up, and uh excited

(22:45):
for that Rose Bowl, thinking it's uh time to leave.
What was the problem, Well, it's still another hour, I think. Okay,
in your defense, people don't understand we don't work normal

(23:06):
hours here, all right, so sometimes you get a little
bit thrown off clockwise. Lean out. Lee and I were
just having this covert Lee tell the story you were
telling me earlier. But when we were talking before the show,
this ought to tell you what it's like working these hours.
For anybody that is unfamiliar with these hours and what
it's like working during this time, so I go ahead, Lee. Yeah.

(23:28):
So the last few days I've been working a little
overtime working the next show, so I might nap. Schedules
a little off. Yesterday I was taking a little late
afternoon nap, and I don't know if you realize that
five o'clock in the morning and five o'clock in the
afternoon same amount of daylight. You just see a little
bit of daylight. So I wake up at five pm
and an absolute shock, adrenaline rush. I jump off the couch.

(23:50):
I yell at my girlfriend, why didn't you wake me up?
It's at five o'clock. I slept in the entire show.
She's in the middle of me and she turns the
mute on. She says, it's Thursday afternoon. It's like, it's
like the parting Kingpin. Who are you calling a psycho?
I didn't say anything to you. It's like, yeah, when
you worked this time slot. It's like, I swear again.

(24:13):
There's times I'll I think last week, I woke up
at noon and I went and took a nap after
the show. I woke up at noon, had no idea
what day it was, and was almost positive I had
slept through the Saturday show, almost positive it was noon
on a Friday. So Eddie, mistakes are made, it's all

(24:33):
good there. There may or may not have been an
instant recently where I got up to turn on some
college football and then realized it's Friday. It's it's not Saturday.
Like people will think that's odd, but I've I remember
I was working on a Sunday. I think it was
a Sunday morning, and I think my shift started years ago.

(24:55):
I think it started at ten am. And I pulled
in into the gas station to get gas. I'm like,
I gotta hurry because I gotta get to the studio
and I gotta get in and get gas. And I
was like, oh, this station always takes a long time.
To want to go up to the next one, but
I really need a gas. And I pull into the
station and I run in. I get it's like a
seven eleven. I give him the cash or the car

(25:17):
or whatever I was using. I come out and I'm
sitting in my car waiting for the gas to to pump,
and I realized I don't start for two hours. I
had not like I just completely lost track because you
work so many, so many random times, and there's different
time slots. It happens, man, So listen, it's all good, Eddie.
You'll be out of here soon. Sorry to you. Well,

(25:37):
I'm you know, excited to do one more update for
you before I will. Then for the second time, can
I ask you this, though, what do you think the
split is going to be at the game this weekend?
Chargers Rams? Oh? Well, it's a Charge of Home game,
so I'm gonna I'm gonna go in and say it's
you know, gonna be like, I don't know, se something

(25:58):
like that. You think it's so much. Uh, Other Rams
fans aren't really interesting going to watch the Rams play
a little bit. They had their time last year, so
you know, yeah, I'm sure they're okay, all right. Thursday
night football in Nashville, Cowboys top the Titans seven thirteen
Dak Prescott and had a couple of interceptions in the
first half. Comes back in the second half though, with

(26:19):
a pair of touchdown passes, both to tight end Dalton
Schultz in the victory. Dallas, now twelve and four, still
have hopes of trying to win that NFC's tiled away
from the Philadelphia Eagles. Uh, those hopes are still alive
after their win. They do need some help from Philadelphia,
but we'll see how that goes. For Tennessee. They fall
to seven and nine with the loss, but they can
win the a f C South of the Wind against
Jacksonville next week, and their quarterback will likely be Josh Dobbs,

(26:42):
who he signed about a week ago. He started against
the Cowboys was okay, considering twenty of thirty nine passing
two thirty two yards with a touchdown and an interception
for the former Tennessee volunteers star. NFL news involving the quarterbacks.
Lamar Jackson still injured, are still recovering from his knee injury.
Did not practice on Thursday, unlikely he will play this weekend.
And Jalen Hurts of the Eagles did throw in practice.

(27:03):
Didn't participate in practice, but didn't throw the ball around
as he's recovering from that shoulder injury. College football, we
had three bowl games. In the Alamo Bowl it was
Washington over Texas twenty seven to twenty Huskies in the
year eleven and two in the Cheese A Bowl, Florida
State got a thirty two yard field goal of fifty
five seconds to play to get by Oklahoma thirty five
thirty two Pin Stripe Bowl Minnesota winner over Syracuse twenty
eight to twenty and NBA games of note, we had

(27:25):
the Celtics beat the Clippers one, sixteen to one in Boston,
now the league best twenty six and ten. Another triple
double for Luca Dodge. She didn't score sixty of this time,
just thirty five, twelve rebounds, thirteen assists, and MAVs beat
the Rockets one, one fourteen in college basketball number one
per Due now thirteen on the season after forty nine
went over Florida A and M. In the NHL, Whitning
beat the Rangers, too, wanted to shoot out, Kings over

(27:47):
the Avalanche five four, and to shoot out in the
Coyotes surprised the Maple Leaves six three, and finally in soccer, legend,
pil passed away at the age of eighty two in
his native Brazil after a battle with cancer. Now back
to the stock dot Com, Fox Sports Radio Studios, Thanks Eddy,
two pros and a cup of Joe. Here on Fox
Sports Radio, you can hang out with us as always
on the I Heart radio appar it's coming up in

(28:09):
we'll call it about twelve minutes from now. There's apparently
there was the potential of a blockbuster move made in
the NFL. I think it's sort of went under the radar,
but it was really really close to happening. We'll get
into that for you again here coming up twelve minutes
from now on fs ARE. So I'll just ask you
this listening here on Fox Sports Radio. You're driving to work,

(28:33):
all right, you're on the road, you're coming back from work,
whatever the case may be. All right, are you speeding
right now this very moment? Look down, al right, be careful,
looked out at the spitometer? Are you speeding right? If
you're on a highway, If you're on a roadway, like
if you're on the highway out here in California, it's
sixty five? Are you going above sixty? Right? Just sort

(28:55):
of nod your head, acknowledge it. If you're driving on
a side row it it's a thirty five. Ow are
you going like forty? Probably speed right now? What are
the chances you're gonna get pulled over for speeding? Slim
to none? You know, like, but you acknowledge that you
are going above the speed limit, like you acknowledge it.

(29:18):
We both listen, we get it. Look, I'm gonna drive
out of here shortly. I'm gonna go above the speed limit.
Probably I probably am. There's a dip in their hill.
I I think I'm driving, you know, the the sixty.
All of a sudden, I pick up to like seventy
two because of this dip, and I'm starting to go
downhill and I don't recognize it. But for the most part,
we don't get speeding tickets. We'll get them rarely, but

(29:40):
we don't get speeding tickets. So when you tell somebody
I don't have a lot of speeding tickets or I
haven't gotten a speeding ticket in filling the blank, it
doesn't mean that you don't speed. It just means you
didn't get caught. So I say all that to say this.
I'm watching Thursday and At Football last night, and Al

(30:02):
Michaels and Kirk curb Street made the point that Zack
Martin of the Dallas Cowboys, by the way future Hall
of Famer, look at his credentials as a two time
All Pro or he's about five time All Pro, two
times second team All Pro, he's been to eight Pro Bowls,
he was part of the All Decade team. Just fantastic,

(30:22):
fantastic career. He's gonna be a Hall of Famer when
it's all said and done. They're making the point that
Zack Martin in his entire career, and he's been been
in the league coming up on a decade, he's only
got six holding penalties in his entire career, and they

(30:42):
were talking about, just, man, how tremendous that is. Okay,
does that mean he's never held any other time? Like?
Its just those six times he happened to hold. When
all you hear from offensive linemen and people to cover
the NFL is man, you could call holding on every play,
like the idea that that's your go to, Like, hey,
are you a good driver? Of course I am. I

(31:04):
got one speeding tike of my entire life. What are
you talking about, dude, I've been in the car with you,
drive ninety What do you mean just because she didn't
get caught doesn't mean you didn't do it? So congratulations,
it was a nice cell job, I get it. Al
Michael's is a little bit fatigued, hasn't had the most
appetizing matchups to to get excited about. You know, he's

(31:27):
he's trying his best, but we've had a lot of
stinkers on Amazon Prime. I get all that it's been
a little bit awkward with him and Kirk curb Street
at times. I get all that, it's a nice cell
job on how great Zack Martin is. I don't care
how many holding penalties he hasn't been called for. It
doesn't mean he doesn't hold. And there's probably a defensive
lineman out there. He was like, hold on a second,
have you seen what this guy does to me? Have

(31:49):
you seen how those games go? So congratulations on the
lack of holding penalties. It doesn't mean the guy is
not holding the the entirety of his career or at
other times during the point of his career. Still gonna
Hall of Famer. But I thought it was a little
bit funny that they're going to that realm when they're
talking about the Cowboys and their greatness on Old Line
when it comes to Al Michael's and Kirk curb Street.

(32:09):
Jonas knocks here Fox Sports Radio two Pros and a
Cup of Joe You can hang out with us is

that nearly happened, a blockbuster move involving a Hall of Famer.

will be posted up shortly after we go off the air.
We will be back coming up after the weekend six
am Eastern time, three o'clock Pacific. LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, myself,
we will be back and listen, there's gonna be a
lot to discuss. We got college football playoff games, we
got NFL action. This is a good time to be

(33:39):
a football fan. It's always a good time to be
a football fan. I mean. And by the way, if
you play fantasy football and you had Derrick Henry on
your team, that sucks, you know, but it's I tell people,
if you can't find the interest in a football game,
whether it was that one last night or one of
these bad games coming up this weekend or next weekend,
then do the adult thing and start gambling. Get a

(34:02):
grip on reality. Start gambling on some of these games,
put a little bit of money into it, and then
make things more interesting. It's like putting hot socks, hot
sauce on some dry chicken, right, throw some stuff on there,
make it taste better. Their solutions here once you find them,
all right, But so we will be back here after
the weekend. Uh And for those of you, I have

(34:23):
a happy and safe New Year's obviously, al I don't
do anything stupid out there right now, though, it's time
to put a bow on this bad boy here on
a football Friday with a little something we do called this.
How could you not get to these stories? Are the scraps?
All right? So lead the lab? What the hell have
we missed so far? Alright? We had seen something about

(34:45):
this yesterday. We weren't quite sure if it was real
or not. There have been rumblings that Terall Owens and
uh Jerry Jones and the Cowboys had been in contract
talks about him possibly coming out of retirement. Of course,
in being forty nine years old Pro Football Hall of
Famer would make would have made him the oldest player
in NFL history, only player to come out of the
shrine out of the Hall of Fame too uh for

(35:06):
a return, but contract talks fell apart over money. He
did recently run a four or five forty yard dash
when he was working out with the Shawan Jackson. I
I honestly can't believe this is a real thing. Like
maybe maybe I'm an idiot. And it's not to discredit
Torrell Owens, who's in tremendous shape, But last I saw

(35:26):
Terrell Owens, he was beating up some guy outside of
CBS in l A. And he was like he like
this was It actually got to the point that they
talked numbers. And the only reason Terrell Owens is not
a Dallas Cowboy right now at forty nine years old
is because of the money that was being thrown around.
What the f man like whether it was Odell Beckham Jr.

(35:49):
Terrell Owens, I don't get it. Didn't you just sign
t Y Hilton? Like I think we've now figured out
why Amari Cooper didn't work out with the cow Boys
because he wasn't allowedmouth enough. I think you've gotta be
you gotta have like some sort of some sort of
appeal to you off the field. Otherwise Jerry Jones is

(36:09):
not interested in you playing wide receiver for the team
because I, I I really I don't understand how it got
to the point to where Terrell Owens and the Cowboys
are talking contract and then the only reason it didn't
happen is because he was asking for too much money.
I'd love to know how much money Terrell Loans was
actually asking for. Is there any details on athlete like
how much money we were talking here? No no money

(36:31):
exchanged there, obviously oh b J was in talks with
the with the Cowboys as well. That also fell. It's
what happened to that O b J story. It's weird
that kind of fizzled out. So it's almost like teams
realized also he's nowhere close to being ready. Okay, cool, alright,
so so then we move on. That's like, that's that's
that's how that works, all right. Now, what else we got?

(36:51):
We had obviously heard rumblings of Tara Owen's kind of
poking his his nose around in the league. When Deevo
Samuel went down, he had reached out to Jed York. Well,
Devo is actually already uh back on the practice field.
Not much incentive of play him this week against the
Raiders now that the Nighters have already clinched the West.
But yeah, good news for the Niners. When they said

(37:12):
that there was potential for Deebo Samuel to come back
this season, we as a group on this show laughed
because he sprained both ankles and dinged up his m
c L. And that guy's already back practicing and he
was on video dancing yesterday. You gotta be kidding me, Like,

(37:35):
like if if one of us is a headache, like
we're taking a segment off. Deebo Samuel ripped up both
ankles and hurt his knee and he's already back on
the practice field. I thought I thought they were crazy
when they were bringing this stuff up. I thought there
was no chance. And look at the time when the
injury went down. When when it happened, we thought, man,
that is less than ideal for brock Party, a rookie

(37:58):
quarterback who's like the fourth quarterback they've had to turn to.
You need as much help as you can possibly get.
And yet here's Deebo Samuel with a real chance if
he wants to, if there's a possibility or a potential
or a need to, that that guy could come back
for the final game of the regular season. I am stunned.
I can't even believe that this is actually a real conversation.
But yet here we are. What else we got We

(38:20):
had talked about it earlier, Florida State winning the cheese
At Bowl and in case you missed it, Mike Norville
getting a little bit of a cheese at bath after
the game. I would listen. I just want to know, like,
how many cheese it's do you get if you want
the cheese at bowl? All right, now, I know that
like some of the swag bag discussion we've had, like
where I think like Michigan and TCU players have tweeted
out like swag bag stuff that they've gotten, But like,

(38:41):
what sort of cheese it's are we getting here? And
when they're doing the cheese at bath what cheese it's
are they doing the bath with? Is it the regular
cheese it's is it the toasty? Is it the classic?
The white cheddar is awful? By the way, I don't
know if you've ever tasted that, you don't like the
white Cheddaran berda. We're gonna let that stuff lie. So
I mean, by the way, the least surprising thing in
the world is that Lead doesn't like white cheddar. But

(39:04):
by the way, that's that's about the least surprising development
here in the industry of Fox Sports Radio. He said,
it not mean, yeah, you gotta go. I guess the
the regular cheese, it's the tabasco aren't bad, although those
got a little bit of dust on him, so that
could be a problem that the cheese it the thin cheese,
it's uh, those ones aren't bad, Like there's it's hard

(39:25):
to have a bad cheese it man, I'm telling you,
it sounds like you have cheese it's on hand? Is
it in your pantry? He always it just it just
is what it is. Always. My son loves them. And
by the way, a little known fact, my dog who's dead,
My dog his last his last meal was a cheese.
It swear to God, that last meal he ever had

(39:47):
was a cheese. It because I knew that he was
passing away. He was a bull masked if he was,
the end was here. It was just it was, yeah,
cheese it last last meal. Well, I don't know, Burdo,
if you've seen a dog die, but towards their final days,
it's hard for them to keep stuff down. You know, look,
I want to give it him a prime rib, but
it wasn't gonna go, you know like that. They would

(40:09):
ended up, you know, spit out or that would have
been the way he would have gone out, you know,
choking on a bone. Because he'll always give his dog
a double double on his birthday. But yeah, but dog
died recently, so I don't think he got a double
double day. Yeah, but you know what, every single birthday,
so whatever, it's my dog's birthday. I always have a
cheese it. I always to honor him. So now your

(40:30):
friend's gonna have a double double and you have the
best part about having a double double. You only have
to wait in line in the drive through for like
an hour and a half to get it. That's great,
that's always fun. But uh so, anyways, congratulations. All right,
So to everybody out there, we appreciate you hanging out
