about the locker room that he ended up getting drafted to,
and well a sure fire first ballot Hall of Famer

(01:43):
having a deadline on making a decision before we get
to all of that.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
How you doing, TJ. How you feeling man? How's everything? Man? La?

Speaker 2 (01:52):
You know, I'm good. Bro.

Speaker 5 (01:53):
You woke up and you know we've been having some

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Need to wake up today.

Speaker 5 (02:00):
Needed some moisture, clear skies and palm trees. Baby, feeling good, Man,
feeling good?

Speaker 1 (02:07):
That's good, man, that's good. Listen.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
I took the rain as an opportunity to kind of
hit the couch and you know, be under my blanket
and I watched the Basos documentary documentary. Hey, bruh, you
gotta watch the Besos documentary. Is this kind of like
if you're like a guy that enjoys, like, you know,
how God did it and that like ohole moment stuff

(02:31):
like that's really cool show that I watched, really inspiring,
really motivating. But I was under the blanket and you know,
to all the of the violentiners out there, Happy Valentine.

Speaker 5 (02:42):
I'm gonna have to I'm gonna have to look into that, man.
You know, with the family and they always want to
watch reality TV. Man, we watching like The The Challenge
and Marrying at First Sight, and.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
They want to watch The Bachelor and all that. Man.

Speaker 5 (02:56):
I watched those two and I like them odo Married
at First Site, Man, I started with pretty good bro
like one this season, how old girl they can kind
of just like switch.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Oh yeah, it's crazy. I saw that last night.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
But yeah, yeah, I'm sorry first sight, love is blind, ultimatum.
Those have been ones that that have been flying around
and it's gotten so interesting.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Was so good that last season.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Yeah, watching them out at different countries TJ like Cass,
just watching the different countries.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
How love works when you don't know the person, you
just get to know them behind the wall or the
ultimatum where you switch up partners. But that Bezos dip
was pretty That was pretty inspiring, man. Pretty interesting because.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
The dude, the lead dude for the CEO.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
For Barnes and Nobles, had an opportunity to sit down
with with Bezos after he had introduced I guess he
was at like a gathering. It was an incubator gathering,
and explained like kind of introduced what he was trying
to do. And he had changed the number of the
name of the company like twice, but at this point

(04:07):
it was called Relentless. Can you imagine Amazon was called
Relentless at one point in time.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Much better name too, bruh.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
And when you see I don't want to be a
spoiler of the show, check out the show.

Speaker 5 (04:21):
But you could have just been around him and just
invested just a few dollars. Well, I got to be
I need to get in right there, man, just let
me invest a few dollars. Man with some people them
the rooms I need d we never could get those
type of rooms.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
You know.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
I'm gonna say this in the I was in DC
and I was around If people look at the history
of under Armour, I was literally the first air quotes,
big name, name brand athlete to leave Nike and go
with under Armour. So what happened at the point in
time that I went and was with them. I believe

(04:59):
it was Kevin in another dude I forget his name.
That We're like, man, you know, put some money into it.
That died this that and the other and you'll get
this much back out of it or whatever it was
being said. And I was like skeptical of it. I
was like, oh, I repped the brand and our They
didn't even have cleats at the time, and you ain't even.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Had Farrington at the time.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Hey bru.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
They had like a three story They had a three
story banner of me on FedEx Field saying protect this
house three stories.

Speaker 5 (05:31):
Remember you remember Eric Obagu, Yeah, he's still mister Protected. Yeah,
so you know he came and played with its SCEENSI
he used to bring all that's my boy, all that
under gear into the locker room, all of it.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
Yeah, they did that for for Washington and and so
I ended up going with him and they were like,
a you get die to die this that X amount
and they said, and I was like, it's like, I
don't think I want to spend that much. Like I
was being frivolous, because well I was not being frivolous.
I was being the opposite of frivolous, is what I
meant to say. I was being more like like because

(06:08):
on that side of it, when you hear it, it's
like it sounds good. But if I make that mistake.
I'm gonna have to pay play like five five more years.
I got to get to a different contract, you know
what I mean, Like I ain't gonna have to try
to play to get to a different contract. And I
always like felt comfortable, like I'm a bet on myself.
I'm not gonna put my I'm not gonna put that
much money into like what they got going on.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
Bro.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
They came out with what they went public like two
months later. Because I came back, I did more research.
I had my financial people do some more research. I
was like, all right, I'll do it, and they's like, yeah,
it's too late, man, Like we closed out on it,
Like we closed out on that round of of investing.
So it's like it's not it's not available anymore. I
was like, god, dang, it's like, all right, good luck

(06:52):
to y'all. Congrats. It's cool, like y'all take care of me.
It's all good man. That joint went public. I was
sitting there under my blanket. I was hold my blanket.
I was in tears, man, I was in the fetal position.
And I'm gonna tell you another one. I had an
opportunity because I met some of the top people at
the beginning.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Stages was was Uber. I had a chance to put
money into Uber. I blew two, bro I blew two.

Speaker 4 (07:18):
And I say with confidence because you know what, I
at least can say that I did have the opportunity
to put in on you know, some pretty significant companies.
But again, it sounds crazy until it's not crazy anymore,
Like twenty twenty.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
Hindsight, when somebody asked.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
You to put like two million in or one point
five million into something and you're looking at it from
the other side of it, like the going into it.

Speaker 5 (07:46):
Part of it is that that that that makes you pause.
Now for sure, really sit back long and think about
that one that hey, that's not an easy decision.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
So here's god, you are on investments. We're talking investments.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
I know, we want to get to the Eagles and
the Chiefs and all that, because this probably is even
more interesting than that what.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
That game was.

Speaker 4 (08:06):
But the interesting thing was I had an opportunity come
on Turks and Caicos. Now, if y'all know about Provo
Island and Turks and Cacos, you know it's a beautiful,
gorgeous island, beautiful place.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
I had an opportunity to invest on.

Speaker 4 (08:21):
A property called uh, it's called West Kekos and they
called it Molasses Reef.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Right.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
So I'm like, all right, I didn't missed out on
a couple of these these major opportunities. I was like,
you know, I'm gonna go all in on this one.
Have a people look it up. They're like listen, Like
Lehman Brothers is the main the major debt holder of
the project. The company, the Marriotte Group is going to

(08:50):
be managing and doing the housing on this molasses Reef
island where the only way you can get there is
by taking a boat from from Provo. Right, you gotta
take a boat, like there's a launch point, you take it.
There's a you can get there. You know you could.
It was going to have a big, big harbor and

(09:12):
all that stuff. Super dope property went out there one
hundred times. Got married on the island, TJ. That's how
invested I was in this whole deal. I got married
on the island.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
Dot of that. It's that.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
Why did Lehman Brothers go under like a year later?

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Bruh wow.

Speaker 4 (09:27):
So it's like on the on the flip side of
saying okay, uber and under armor, It's like Oh, it's
a short shot.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
It's a short shide.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
Would you have said, uh, turts and kekos Alan project
on there.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Everybody and their mama was going was going to turs
and cacos all the time.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
All the time, brouh all the time.

Speaker 4 (09:48):
So Lehman Brothers is involved, Marriott is involved. Tell me
how that goes wrong. I threw down, bro I put
I put my chips in the middle of the table
and got spanked.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
That's what happened. We went to Vegas.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Stupid, stupid you right though?

Speaker 4 (10:06):
Speaking of and gave I had a lot of job,
a lot, I mean, I started with no chips.

Speaker 5 (10:13):
Just quit LeVar no, no, gave it right back. But okay,
I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
I really did. I really did.

Speaker 4 (10:20):
And speaking of giving the chips back, so did the
Kansas City chiefs.

Speaker 1 (10:24):
They gave the chiefs the chips back and they got
spanked as well. So here's what we're gonna do. We're
gonna take a quick break.

Speaker 4 (10:32):
I'm gonna let y'all think about how I missed out
on becoming a well a lot of money millionaire off
of uber and and and under armour.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
And let's think about that. Which who cares?

Speaker 4 (10:43):
But then you can think about how I got spanked
with the Turks and Caicos deal, just like uh, the
Kansas City Chiefs trying to get that three p how
they got spanked trying to get that deal as well.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
You're listening to Up on Game. That's t J.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
Huschman's out of Plexico. Will be back in an hour.
H Yeah, we're gonna talk super Bowl. On the other
side of the break. We got a lot to get to.
As I mentioned, legendary quarterback doubles down on things he
had to say about the locker room that he was
drafted to and another first short ballot Hall of Famer. Well,

(11:18):
is he getting the Hall of Fame treatment? We'll talk
about that, all that and more. We'll be coming back
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at foxsports Radio
dot Com and within the iHeartRadio app. Search FSR to

Speaker 1 (11:37):
All right, all right, welcome back in.

Speaker 4 (11:40):
This is Up on Game and we are live from
the tyrreck dot Com studio. It's LaVar Arrington, is TJ.
Huchman Zada and I do believe Stretch Armstrong just flew
into the window, put his cape away, put it in
a put it in.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
The closet, you know, kick his shoes off.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
You know, got the the well because they don't have
clear skuys and sunshine and all that stuff. So you know,
I'm sure he kicked the dirt and the snow and
all that stuff off his superhero boots and and.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
He's ready to go.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
He didn't miss a thing.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
Stretches here, We got the full team Fellas. The super
Bowl was built up to be obviously the three peat
opportunity for the Kansas City Chiefs. It was everything but that.
It was total domination by the Eagles and beating the
Chiefs forty to twenty two.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
Now I got.

Speaker 4 (12:40):
I got caught up into some interesting conversations this week
with my co host Brady Quinn and with Pete Prisco.
When discussing the game, I started off with the idea
that Kansas City's defense was not ready to handle again
going into the game. I said, the the the mismatch

(13:04):
for this team, these teams was going to be can
you stop the run? And if Spags with his brilliance
of coming with game plans, is going to be to
stop Sakwon Barkley at any expense, which it turned out
to be.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
That's what it was that it would it would give.

Speaker 4 (13:23):
An opportunity for Jalen Hurts and this this offensive Philly
to be able to exploit one on one coverages. That's
what happened.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
Now.

Speaker 4 (13:33):
The stat line was not a crazy stat line for
Jalen Hurts, but I felt as though you were going
to have to at some point take a chance and
being able to overload like what Spags has always been
able to do.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
Find a way to overload the.

Speaker 4 (13:50):
Line and bring pressure and while you're you're bracketing and
you're you're doing more coverage versus loading the line to
stop Saquon and Jalen Hurts from running. It didn't happen
all day I got. I was told Kansas City's defense
was fine.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
They did a good job.

Speaker 4 (14:10):
It was Kansas City's offense that did not adjust and
did not adapt. Obviously, the Eagles being able to get
pressure with four men all game, zero pass rushes, zero
blitzes from from that Philadelphia defense, and they were able
to be effective sweat blew up in the game. Jalen

(14:31):
Carter was Jalen Carter and they were able to make
Patrick Mahomes uncomfortable. I said, the game planed, the blueprint
was solidified by the Eagles. I was corrected during the week,
and I will agree and admit that Tampa Bay did
the same exact thing to them in the Super Bowl
that they were able to win with Tom Brady.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
What do you guys say about this?

Speaker 4 (14:51):
What were your takeaways from the Super Bowl and was
it a disappointment or should it be looked at as
you know what, maybe this is the new age rivalry?
I said, go if y'all remember I said, Jalen Hurts
isn't being talked about a whole lot, But should we
be talking about this as a rivalry between Patrick Mahomes
and Jalen Hurts. It's two times they're one, one and one,

(15:15):
you know, I mean performed.

Speaker 5 (15:18):
That's hard when you're in different conferences.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
I mean that that that's tough.

Speaker 5 (15:23):
Like the likelihood just the percentages of them continuing to
meet in the Super Bowl that that's tough to predict.
I don't know, because I wasn't obviously on the show
last Saturday because I was in New Orleans.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
I had Eagles winning that that I think it would be.

Speaker 5 (15:40):
A blowout, the type of game that we witness. No,
I didn't, but I felt like the Eagles would win
the game. The Chiefs, for the most part all season,
you know, had made the play at the end of
the game, and uh.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
Just found a way to win.

Speaker 5 (15:58):
And it didn't matter how they were, they found a
way to win a lot of one possession games, one
score games. I just felt like the Eagles, if you
commit to stop the run, they can beat you with
the past. And I said, the Bucks created the blueprint,
just what you said earlier. If they can get pressure

(16:21):
on the homes, it's gonna get ugly. And I pointed out,
I said, they got a guard playing tackle and all
pro guard at that he hasn't been exploited. It'll be
interesting to see if the Eagles can exploit that. And
they did. And so the Eagles they here to State
Man now for some odd reason. Man, it's always happened
to the Eagles. You know, whether they win or just
go to the Super Bowl, they lose a coordinator or two.

(16:45):
So last time they lost Gannon and Steichen. This year
they're losing Kellen Moore. So we'll see who they name
as that offensive coordinator. Can they keep it going? But
it can be a rivalry, but it's a lot of
teams in the AFC. They just saw what happened. They

(17:05):
saw what happened. Load up on this defensive line. And
let's not forget. Now, you remember that last Super Bowl
in Arizona. Y'all remember this when they played what did
everybody say, Oh, man, the grass will slick. They watered
The Eagles defensive line wasn't able to really get off
the ball because of the quote unquote surface was wet

(17:25):
and slippery.

Speaker 4 (17:26):
So you're saying that ass whipping could have took place
in Arizona exactly.

Speaker 5 (17:31):
And so now you're playing indoors. You're playing indoors. What
you watering on field turf? And so the Eagles, I
will say this, Howie Roseman and whomever else is in
charge of the drafting, the development, paying these contracts, Man,

(17:51):
pat yourself on the back because I'm packing you on
the back every time. If I see you at the combine,
I'm gonna patch you on them because they do such
a great job of drafting. And then when they draft you,
they pay you. Everybody on the Eagles team is getting
big bread. And I was the first one to say
this in September. If the Eagles can do it, why

(18:11):
can't everybody else do it? If the Eagles can pay everybody,
why can't everybody? I said this in September. Now everybody
is saying what I was saying a long time ago.
If the Eagles can do it, why can't everyone else? Oh,
the salary cap, that's your excuse.

Speaker 6 (18:29):
Yeah, they don't want to all our Cincinnati Bengals. But yeah, man,
there's a couple of, you know, storylines in this game
that was just totally just uncharacteristic of what Kansas City does.
And Red from a coaching standpoint number one is, if
you can't protect patrickes Mahome, we've never seen them under

(18:52):
the rest under that much pressure. Get him some help, man,
get him into some six man protections. You can jump
with a few max protections, but then you're releasing what
three wide receivers into a seven man cover.

Speaker 7 (19:03):
So that doesn't help.

Speaker 6 (19:04):
And I've always spoken about, you know, Andy Reid making
adjustments and how his passing game is in an extension
of the run game, and he did nothing. He did
none of that.

Speaker 5 (19:15):
You can't make adjustments to that pass rush. What you
gonna man think about this? He Max protected with eight
and he still got hit. I'm sorry with seven. It
was a match protection with seven blockers and Mahomes still
got hit.

Speaker 6 (19:27):
You gotta get him some help. And they just completely
abandoned the run game.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
Man.

Speaker 6 (19:32):
That's one of the reasons why you bought Kareem Hunt
in there to run the football. Kevin Moore did not
abandon the run game. Sakwan Buckle had was seventy some
yards rushing on twenty five carries, so he didn't He
didn't abandon the run game. Yeah, they stayed with it,
and Andy Reid just went completely away from the run

(19:54):
game and put it on the back of Patrick Mahomes
when they couldn't even the Buckler guys up front. And
I think it was two plays in this game, man,
that really stood out to me, which was uncharacterized to
give my god, DeAndre Hopson that drop on third that
I thought was a pivotal play, you know, in that
game in the third quarter, and then they get stopped

(20:17):
on fourth down, and then they throw a forty seven
yard bomb on the very next play to Devonte Smith,
And I think that just took all the wins out
of everybody else because you're thinking to yourself that the
Philadelphia Eagles are gonna run the ball, run a little clock,
and they came out and take a shot and they score,
and the game is what now what twenty four zero,

(20:37):
whatever the case may be. And they just never got
on track, man, which is something about that other Super Bowl.
They never got on track. And for Spags defense to
give up what thirty plus points outside of the interception
with turned by Dejon de Gene or whatever his name is,
I mean, they just look like they win that game.

Speaker 1 (21:01):
Like we're gonna win this game.

Speaker 6 (21:04):
In the game, they were stepped behind, they were slow,
they didn't look fresh at all. It basic looked like
they just walked off a bourbon street from the night
before and walked on the football field. They just thought
that they were just gonna go out there and win
this football game, because that was the kind of effort
that they gave it like they looked slow, lethargic, and
they just played with like zero excitement. And that defensive

(21:26):
line for the Eagles, man, they took this game personal.
It was a spirited effort by those guys up front.
And listen, Tom Brady mentioned it a few times on
the broadcast saying that I haven't seen a pass rush
like this since the two thousand and seven Giants because
it was reminiscent of what they was doing, or was
it knowing that game and.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
That's what it reminded him of.

Speaker 6 (21:50):
But it's just I can't can't believe that Andy Reid
wouldn't make any adjustments getting the ball out of the
Patrick mahonmes ands quick maybe getting in this green game
with Isaiah Poseeco, and they just kept putting this offensive
line in this man blocking scheme and they just got
destroyed from the start to finish.

Speaker 4 (22:10):
We're gonna talk about Travis Kelsey in a matter of
moments and him having a deadline on retirement. This his
retirement decision. Is he gonna keep playing?

Speaker 1 (22:22):
Is he not?

Speaker 4 (22:23):
It just lends to the conversation of is this run
coming to an end for Kansas City. We've watched Patrick
Mahomes climb into being considered one of the top quarterbacks
in the history of this game and his very young career.
Is there another adjustment? Is there another wave that Andy

(22:46):
Reid can develop and come up with that keeps this
Kansas City Chiefs team ahead, that keeps Patrick Mahomes being
what we've come to know of Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker 1 (22:58):
Or is this a rap?

Speaker 4 (23:00):
Mean we I would have thought that possibly teams are
going to gear up after the Tampa Bay loss and
come at them in a certain type of way. It
kind of did not happen all the way in the
sense where it made this this run of Kansas City
come to an end. Obviously they were fighting to get
three in a row, but does this one? Does this one?

(23:22):
This this this loss kind of gives like kind of
like the feeling of it ain't gonna be that easy
for them to not even not only win a super Bowl,
but even maybe make it back to the super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
I think they do.

Speaker 6 (23:36):
I don't think it's the end of Patrick Mahomes and
this football team getting to another super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
Will will they win it?

Speaker 7 (23:43):
Then that's another question.

Speaker 6 (23:45):
But when you have Patrick Mahomes and the quarterback, you
always got an opportunity to win the to win the
AFC and get back to the super Bowl super Bowl.

Speaker 7 (23:54):
I think Baltimore's hot on their tail right now.

Speaker 6 (23:57):
I think that uh everybody's talking about they need the
need to address this offensive line based off of what
happened on Sunday.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
I don't think that they do.

Speaker 6 (24:07):
I just thought that, but they ran into a juggernaut
the other night the other day. As far as the
defensive line is concerned, that is not a blueprint for
teams moving forward against you.

Speaker 5 (24:19):
You can't have that blueprint if you ain't got the
horses up front. It's exactly easy to say, it's not
a game plan. So everybody, that's what you gotta do.
Jalen Carter, Davidson, mil Williams. You gotta have those dudes
up front and there. If everybody had it, they beat
the Eagles.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
Yeah, you don't know.

Speaker 6 (24:36):
What I'm saying, is that's the Blueprifer can say, No,
it's not, because you don't have those on your team.

Speaker 7 (24:44):
So it's not a game plan for teams moving forward.

Speaker 6 (24:46):
So I don't think that they need to addressed the
offensive line, but they need to, uh offensively, get back to.

Speaker 7 (24:55):
What they was doing all year long.

Speaker 6 (24:58):
And man, they was running the football and they completely
abandoned the running game and it made them left handed
and it was I mean from the start of the
game to the end, they just man, they just played
with like no effort. And I just can't imagine being
on that stage and that game not giving everything that

(25:21):
you have, every single play, and it was just they
didn't give it the effort that they needed to win
this game.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
Man, they gave the effort, it just wasn't enough. Man,
the Eagles are better.

Speaker 5 (25:31):
That's just the Eagles were a better football team, So
both side of the offensively and defensively.

Speaker 4 (25:38):
On saying that and seeing the job that they've done
and keeping this team stocked with talent, where does this
team go? Where does this Where does this Philadelphia Eagles
team go? You gotta get the right to the coordinator,
because we saw what happened when Stike and left. They're
going through offensive coordinators. They didn't know who was going

(26:00):
to be the offensive coordinator, so they got to make
sure that higher is the right higher. But they don't
lose many big free agents. Milk Williams is a free agent.
They'll probably let him go. He's a backup d tackle,
he's in a rotation.

Speaker 5 (26:14):
But outside of that, they don't lose anybody because they
roll well.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
They don't draft well, they draft right.

Speaker 6 (26:23):
And I also think I also think that Sirianni Man,
he's not going to veer off of what they do offensively.

Speaker 5 (26:31):
They need to get off they need to get off
Sirianni back man.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
They need to get off his back.

Speaker 1 (26:36):
You may on the hot seat going into how you on.

Speaker 5 (26:38):
A hot seat and all you've done is wine is
gone to the player.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
The super Bowl, he was in the hot seat.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
All he do is win.

Speaker 1 (26:45):
He was on the super Bowl hot seat. Ain't that crazy?

Speaker 4 (26:48):
He was like, if he loses this game, people are
gonna be like, he gotta go and listen. I'm a
PA dude, Like I grew up in PA, from the
other side, west side, not the Eastern.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
But you're a Steelers PA, got not Eagles PA got right.

Speaker 4 (26:59):
Yeah, but they kind of the same animal dog like
that Penn State. I play at Penn State. I know
the whole entire state. They are kind of the same
animal in the sense that they expect to win titles.
And if you don't want anything short of a super Bowl,
anything short of a championship, they want you fired. They

(27:21):
want you out of there. Oh, you had a great
regular season, you made it to the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (27:25):
You gotta go. And you've seen it happen, and you've
seen it happen.

Speaker 4 (27:30):
It's amazing how Mike Tomlin has been able to survive
as long as he has because of the intensity level
that that Pennsylvanian sports fans have for their sports teams,
in particular football.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
So it's of no surprise.

Speaker 4 (27:48):
And believe you me, just as much as you saw
craziness going on on Broad Street in Philadelphia, you should
have saw what was going on in State College. Bro
them Philadelphia Eagles fans, they go to school in State College.
It was crazy and they was taking cards and throwing
stuff and climbing and stuff and doing the same exact

(28:10):
stuff that was going on on Broad Street. But the
point is is that that intensity level of winning has
truly become a cultural pattern in terms of how they
how our coaches or how the coaches in Pennsylvania with
the Eagles.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
And with the Steelers, how they are are looked at.

Speaker 4 (28:30):
He had pressure on him. How what is the conversation
line if the Philadelphia Eagles had lost that game? What
are the conversation lines that are coming out of Philadelphia
about Nick Sirianni if they.

Speaker 6 (28:45):
Lose that game? So sure they fire him at if
he loses that game.

Speaker 4 (28:50):
I don't think they fire him, But I certainly believe
that that hot seat went from super hot to he
almost might have to get his ass up off.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
The seat that type of hot. It ain't it ain't
you ain't got fired.

Speaker 4 (29:03):
But but that thing is like whoa, you remember how
you forget about you? You know when you got them
real nice cars, them real real luxury cars and you
forget you turned the heat on on your seat and
you forget about it. Next thing, you know, you'd be
like feeling like like what what is going on here?
Like like something's like burning, like this ain't good. And

(29:24):
then you look down, you're like left my seat heaters
on life and that's too hot. That's where he's going
to get to. He gonna get to that luxury car
seat heat if he would have lost that game.

Speaker 1 (29:34):
And my estimation, man, mean it's tough to say.

Speaker 6 (29:40):
Man, yeah, you can't two super bowls in three years
and coming off of a super Bowl.

Speaker 7 (29:47):
He was on the hot seat for losing a super Bowl.

Speaker 5 (29:49):
And the Eagles didn't start the season well, no they didn't.

Speaker 4 (29:52):
They they weren't as dominant that it wasn't a clear
this is the most dominant NFC team. It wasn't clear.
In fact, I think it.

Speaker 2 (30:02):
Was the Detroit Lions all year.

Speaker 4 (30:04):
It was the NFC North that was taking all of
the headlines for certain, So I don't know, man, I
think that it's interesting.

Speaker 5 (30:13):
I'm happy they won because if you think about this,
also say Kwon had an opportunity to go into history
books as an all time leading rusher for a season
in NFL history. They chose the city and the narrative
they better win the super Bowl. He had a chance
to break the record, he had a chance to break

(30:34):
Eric Dickerson's record. They better win the super Bowl. They
chose the city because the bigger goal was a team goal,
which was the super Bowl, and they won it. And
so Sirianni had to make a hard decision that I
was one that said, no, break the record. They chose
not to do it, and they got the ultimate team goal.

(30:54):
So for me, I was glad to see that because
when you make those type of decision and you got
to understand what's gonna come with it. If you don't
sell it, you don't finish the goal. You got to
secure the ultimate goal or on the backlash, you got
to take what comes with that. And so for him
to make that decision and then for them the team,

(31:16):
the Eagles, to win it.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
It's like, wow, that was a great decision.

Speaker 5 (31:20):
So say, Kwan Bat brought so much to that team,
But this might be one of the most complete teams
that we've seen man defensively, offensively, top the bottom.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
Where's Where's the weakness? D line?

Speaker 5 (31:33):
Great line back, Zach Bond he was an afterthought All
Pro secondary, very good and young. Offensive line, best in
the game. Receivers, top two pair in the league. Quarterback,
very good running back, the best in the league. Where's
the weakness? How is stand up? Patch yourself on the

(31:56):
back every day?

Speaker 1 (31:58):
Well up on games? Stand up?

Speaker 4 (31:59):
That's team Jay Hushman's Eyes, Plexico, Burst and listen. Be

(32:23):
We're gonna take a quick break. On the other side
of the break, Well, the Jets got somebody jetting up
out of town. I think y'all know who it is,
but we'll talk about that on the other side of
the break. This is up on game. It's Fox Sports Radio.
Will be right back. Hey man, I feel like the
weather is good enough out here on the West Coast
to play this song right here. I mean, this is

(32:44):
the original. This ain't the seel smooth Pete rock version,
but it's still it's still nice enough out here to
rock out to that.

Speaker 6 (32:51):
I don't know about your way, plex I Man, my
brother Pete rock Man talked to another day. Man Man,
good dude, shouts out to you.

Speaker 4 (32:59):
Broh A big fan of it, obviously big fan of
his music, and I'm a big fan of this here show.
We are in the tire rack dot Com studios. T
J Huschman's eyes plexicoburs. I'm LeVar Arrington.

Speaker 1 (33:12):
Next hour, we got legendary moment coming up.

Speaker 4 (33:14):
I had opportunity and the pleasure to sit down with
Colorado Buffalo's new running backs coach, Marshall Falk. Sounds like
it's a trend that's taking place out of Magic Flexico
or TJ will end up being at the coaching ranks
at some point. TJ was a coach. You know, we
coached together. I started off my coaching career. TJ was

(33:34):
on the sideline with your boy and well, plex, we know,
you know, we did the XP thing together, and we
was going around teaching that gospel, teaching the young bucks
how to do the fundamentals the right way. We'll have
conversation about him in the next hour, but before we
get to the breakfellas, let's touch on this whole Aaron
Rodgers and the Jets.

Speaker 1 (33:55):
They're going to move on from Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 4 (33:57):
The question I would ask you guys to end this
segment would be, does Aaron Rodgers have to go play
for a third team, have a third act? As Colin
cal hurb Mate mentioned of in his show, speaking of this,
in order to ensure that his legacy is seen and

(34:19):
respected to the level that he accomplished and achieved as
one of the top quarterbacks in this league for so long.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
Go ahead, place you got it.

Speaker 6 (34:30):
I mean I don't think, I don't I don't think
that Aaron Rodgers has to play another down for his legacy.
I mean, what he has done has been nothing short of,
you know, an amazing, spectacular career. You know, listen, he's
forty forty years old, now forty one, whatever the case

(34:52):
may be, And I think you just got to be
honest with yourself and just say, you know what, my.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
Time no more.

Speaker 6 (35:03):
My time playing on that league level. It has passed.
It has passed me. And it's okay, man, we all
get older. We were, you know, not the players that
we were at twenty five and twenty six. But if
he wants to continue playing, I think I really feel
like he's still a top fifteen quarterback in this league

(35:25):
and there are some teams that he can help.

Speaker 1 (35:29):
Where that's going to be, we have no idea.

Speaker 6 (35:32):
I was kind of shocked when when Aaron Glenn was
hired and he made the decision so quickly to say
that we don't want Aaron Rodgers back. And I understand
it because he's going in with the He's a first
year head coach, new head coach for this organization. He
wants to start fresh. He wants to get the players
in there to fit his scheme offensively, in defensive, whatever

(35:53):
whatever he plans to do.

Speaker 7 (35:55):
But I believe he will play. I'm not sure where
it will be.

Speaker 6 (35:59):
There a couple of great options for him if they
move on from Matthew Stafford. Maybe he can go over
there with Sean McVay. Sam Donald's not under contract with
the Minnesota Vikers. I think that's the best place for
him to go if he wants to compete to winning
another World championship.

Speaker 1 (36:16):
Man.

Speaker 6 (36:17):
You know, depending on what Kyle Shanahan and John Lych
want to do with brock Perty moving forward. You know,
he can learn under Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers can go
home and play for his favorite childhood team. So I
believe there are some places where he adds value. But
if he does not throw another football in this league,

(36:37):
he will go down as arguably one of the top
two best quarterbacks to ever play the position.

Speaker 4 (36:44):
TJ Plex mentioned why would Aaron Glenn get rid of
him so quickly? I mean they did make an attempt.
They offered him and said, these are the things that
you need to do under the collective bargains. Obviously they
can't force him to do. They can't force him to
do with they want him to do. But yeah, okay,
so now that leads to them letting him go. Do

(37:06):
you think like to me, it comes off as them
players didn't like him. He was not liked in the
locker room. That's why you move on so quick? Oh
the players find reasons?

Speaker 1 (37:14):
Did they? Okay? Talking on it and see to me
that would have hit me as players.

Speaker 4 (37:18):
The players gave Aaron Glenn every reason that this didn't
want him around.

Speaker 5 (37:21):
This is my opinion when you look at the situation,
Aaron Glenn didn't want Aaron Rodgers on that team because
he felt like, man, you just bamboozoo Salon got him fired.

Speaker 2 (37:34):
You think you did you win my locker room?

Speaker 1 (37:36):
Good point.

Speaker 5 (37:37):
Now you can try to get me fired. I just
watched you get the coach fired. And when the coach
got fired, the team got worse.

Speaker 1 (37:47):
They got worse.

Speaker 5 (37:48):
So in who you wanted to bring in, I don't
want to coach you because you've shown me these are
the type of things that you will do. With that
being said, Aaron Rodgers can still play. Implex named all
the teams that he'll be great with. The problem with
those teams outside of the Vikings, and even the Vikings,
they seem to already have a quarterback in place. They

(38:09):
got JJ McCarthy ready to go. The Rams have Matthew Stafford.
The Niners have brought party, but.

Speaker 1 (38:17):
All Niners make the most sense.

Speaker 5 (38:18):
All those teams have great head coaches who will demand
and get respect out of Aaron Rodgers. Great systems. Those
are the teams that fit them. Can they make it
work if they move off of Matthew Stafford? Who knows.
I want to see Aaron Rodgers play again. I believe
he will play again, but Hearon Glenn said, not me, buddy.
You ain't doing what you did this a lot, buddy,

(38:39):
So I wish you the best. I want to see
him play. One of the greatest talents. All the quarterbacks
that come up today, they mimic Aaron Rodgers. They all
mimick his throwing style. He's a trailblazer in that sense.
He knows what he's done for the game. I want
to see him play.

Speaker 4 (38:54):
All right, Well, Cam Newton, we're gonna talk Cam in
the next hour, and we're gonna talk well. Colorado dB
receiver Travis Hunter. He's been listed. We'll tell you what
that is. On the other side of his break. It's
up on game. It's Fox Sports Radio. Make sure you
stay locked in because our two is coming at you
in a matter of moments.

Speaker 2 (39:14):
We'll be right back
