doing until We're gonna take you all the way up
until nine am Eastern time, six o'clock Pacific, right here
on Fox Sports Radio. We got sticks back home in
p a uh, Pennsylvania. That's right Eastern time. I mean
it must help being on Eastern time though. They're sticks,
not not not when you have when you're under the

(01:24):
weather like I am right now, it doesn't help. But
I'm good. I'm good. I mean, I'm looking at out.
You know, it doesn't matter what coast right the flu
is the flu man Harrisburg flu man that Harrisburg doesn't.
It does not discriminate. I'll tell you that man far
away is Hershey from Harrisburg. It's not far, it's not far.

(01:45):
You know. The Big thirty three is what you are
getting at. Yeah, no, no, no no, I was actually getting
at the city playing. I didn't. I played in the U. S.
Army and then the North South. There were bigger games.
They didn't have those girls when I was big. The
Big thirty three was so late in the year. And
there's some dumb rule where you can only play two

(02:06):
out of high school like four fit eligibility, which I
don't know. Why does that matter control? I don't know.
I don't know. Yeah, I don't know. But they didn't
have the U. S. Army game or under armored game.
When I was in college, coming out of high school,
I was more asking because anyone who's driven past her
she you can smell it. You can smell it, and
it's it's one of the coolest things. You're like, oh

(02:28):
my gosh, imagine living in Hershey, Pennsylvania and smelling chocolate
every day of your life. Like you can smell the chocolate. Really. Yeah,
it's like drive by a brewery, dude. You can smell
a brewery all the hops. Right, man, you have the
Kansas City drive by Boulevard, one of one of the best.
East Rutherford, Jersey. You can smell like Nabisco. It smells

(02:50):
like cereal every morning, like every day you drove by
the plant. It smells like serious. It's weird. You drive
by Venice, you can smell it smells like tens and
sleeping bag. It's weird. I don't know what that is
through San Francisco, cold blooded man, What about San Francisco, John,
That's what happens with people that that do not have

(03:12):
I just I don't know what it is what you're
doing with that, doing the scratching sniff game here in
the air, and you're unforgiving about you it's more about
it's more about the particular venue that they've chosen. It's
just you know what, don't we do? You know, I'm
just trying a little scratch and sniff here in the air.

(03:35):
I honestly had no idea that her she smelled like
chocolate when you went by. So it's almost like Willy Wonka.
That's awesome, all right? Um, so now we continue on
here with the regularly. There's no way. Let's let's get
a little ubby. Yeah that's good. Yeah, chocolate chocolate. Over

(03:56):
to the Cleveland Browns. Here, you've got a chubby, Yeah,
they've got They might have an issue upcoming against the
New England Patriots. Nick Chubb, who Brady dubbed is the
best running back in football now that Derrick Henry is out,
uh and Dimitric Felton both have tested positive for COVID nineteen.
Uh they're vaccinated again, why do we know that? Way

(04:17):
to go? N f l P A. But point being,
their status for the Sunday's game against the Patriots is
up in the air. They would need I think two
negative tests is how it is, uh, twenty four hours
apart in order to play. But here we go. The
Cleveland Browns for a big time matchup, and Brady, your
guy Nick Chubb may not be on the field as
they take on the New England Patriots. Look, it's a

(04:38):
huge loss because it's in my mind, he's such a
difference maker for this team. Uh, as much as we
want to kind of credit, hey, Odell is not there anymore.
We see what the passing game looks like. I don't know,
it has more to do with the rushing attack. And
I know, look the Ernest Johnson's there, He's had his moment,
you know, in a in a big spot for this team,
when when Shub wasn't there, when kream Hunt wasn't there.

(05:01):
So we've seen that before. I just it's different when
you're going and play in New England. Um. I still
do feel confident though, like the Browns are gonna step up.
I think this is like a big time moment where
last week we got to see the Browns without Odell
Beckham and you know, the entire offense, the entire team
really stepped up and showcase like, hey, we don't need him.

(05:21):
We didn't last year we went to the playoffs. We
do this year. Now, this is that opportunity for people
who are who are kind of naysayers to the Baker
Mayfield conversation and saying, well, he didn't carry him, it
was all Nick Chubble. Here you go. Nick Chump is
probably not gonna play this one. They've gotta take on
the New England Patriots. I think this is a great
spot and a big time spot for him to rise

(05:42):
to the challenge show everyone that he's capable of being
able to take over a game and win his team
of football game versus a good opponent in the New
England Patriots. So I think he delivers here. I really do.
This is a Baker Mayfield type of game where he's
gonna make those Browns feel some type of way after
this one. Well, I'll say this when when I think

(06:06):
about the idea of not having Nick Chubb, I mean,
they were able to get through games without Nick Chubb,
but we do know that it has to go through
their running attack as it applies to this game and
what it represents for Baker Mayfield. I have always felt
this though when I look at Baker Mayfield, I'm not

(06:26):
I'm not I'm not bullish on saying he can't have
big games because he has had big games in the past.
I think my where I have my trepidation with him
is he's not consistent. And and so for me, if
this game is a game and we're talking about how
big this game represents to the Browns and to Baker

(06:49):
Mayfield because he doesn't have his back or backs, I
think that this is one of those deals where you say, okay,
this is you. You know, you had a decent game
last weekend. Maybe this represents the number two game on
that list of having some good games. How how well
can you play? I want to see Baker put together

(07:12):
a string of of really a streak of really really
you know, positive games. I don't need him to be
a world beater. I just need him to look like
a quarterback that knows how to go into games and
win the game. And he can do it and it
doesn't have to be um. The running attack is the
catalyst and and then you come into play. I would

(07:34):
like to see if Baker can be that guy consistently.
And I think that that represents a lot going against
a team like New England, because they do well in scheming,
scheming against you know, quarterbacks, and scheming against teams. They've
shown that they're improving. This team is is steadily improving.
So this is gonna be a real test. It's gonna

(07:55):
be a task for for the Browns to be able
to win and and have positive results in this game.
And it's also going to be a massive game when
it comes to the a f C playoffs, because I
think if we're looking at the a f C playoff
picture right now, I think we all assume that you know,
Baltimore and Buffalo are gonna win their divisions, correct, I mean,
I like, I feel good about I mean, Buffalo is

(08:16):
a little bit plawed well after what we saw last week.
But um, but the fact that we've got New England
and Cleveland, who are both most likely going to be
wild card teams, like this could be the difference this
game between one of these teams getting in and one
of these teams not getting in. And I don't know,

(08:37):
I would just feel a lot better about going up
against Bill Belichick if I had my best offensive weapon,
Brady Quinn as a quarterback, I would just feel, you like,
you know, at least I got chubbed because of Belichick
could just game plan and not have to worry about
that aspect of it. It seems like it would make
things a little bit more doable for New England. No,
I mean you'd like to have your your full talents
at Rosso has no doubt about it. I have intrigued

(08:57):
if I would Beckham would go there, and only because
this is kind of one of those NFL moves you
see from time to time. Not that um New England's
sole purpose would be to keep um Odell Beckham at
and take the information that he knows about the Browns
for this matchup then kick him to the curve, but
also because this is a pivotal matchup in regards to

(09:19):
the wild card playoff race. I don't think the Browns
gonna win the division and because of that that you
now have to look squarely at the New England Patriots,
who's also in a wild card spot right now, and
so that this matchup is significant. Like I I wonder
if they would bring in O b J and sign
him to a contract for the rest of the year,
knowing that this game is that pivotal in the grand

(09:42):
scheme of the playoff race, but also given his skill
setting everything else, how he can help out um this
New England Patriots offense and the way Josh McDaniels would
utilize him so big time challenge. I mean the truth is,
to like Mac Jones, I think will be set up
for a good day. This to me will be a
high school orring fun game, fun affair to watch because

(10:03):
of you know how really both defenses have played UM
and I think the big playability UM in the Browns
offense and obviously the Browns defense giving up some big
place from time to time. Uh So, look, it's gonna
be a great game. It's one of the closer games.
I think it was like a pointer or pick them
at least at this point to pay on the book.
But yeah, you you obviously like to have Nick Chubb

(10:24):
like that. That's kind of the obvious way of looking
at this. The better thing becomes, you know who do
they lean on? You know where? Is it just deaners Johnson?
They're still gonna run the football or are they gonna
try to spread the football around maybe open up throwing
the football to help out the rushing its act if
I hold on, let me let me jump in on
this because I gotta I gotta say, I don't think

(10:45):
that it's foregone conclusions on some of these guys I
just said, like, I don't think it's a foregone conclusion
the Ravens win the a f C North. I think
that it's it's become a two team race. The Steelers
have climb back in to being a conversation no one's
No one said that Pittsburgh Seals aren't. It's just that

(11:06):
that Browns aren't winning the division, right, Well, they're not,
and and I don't know that it looks good for
them to be a wild card team. But but think
about the implications of this game. The Patriots have to
be in the discussion of in the a f C East.
You know, the Bills have let some games slip away
from them, I mean hard loss to to Jacksonville. Now

(11:28):
you're looking out a Patriots team that's right in the
thick of possibly challenging for the a f C East.
So looking at what's taking place and not having just
a foregone conclusion as to who is going to win
the division and get into the playoffs. Now you're trying
to figure out who are going to be your your
wild card guys, because the the divisions are really starting

(11:53):
to shake up a little bit. Where you thought the
Bills would run away with it. They're in a fight
against the Patriot. Where you thought the Chargers would run
away from it, they're now not at with the same
records is as the Raiders and the Chiefs and even
the Broncos. And then in the North it's the same
exact thing. You know. I just think that when we

(12:14):
look at a game like this, the implications are so
big because it impacts more than one division in terms
of who could possibly win a division, and as we
talked about with the Browns, like can they maintain pace,
because if they maintain pace, then now they're on pace
to possibly be back in the conversation of contending for

(12:36):
the a f C North. There is so much more
parody in the FANN It's crazy. The body the playoffs
is nuts. And I actually think the a f C
East most likely most likely gets decided because Pats and
Bills play each other twice, they've still got two matchups left. Um,
there's there's gonna be probably a pretty good team or
two left out of the f C playoffs. I mean

(12:58):
it's gonna be the f C North. Everyone's got a
winning record right now, I mean they're they're not all
making it in so there's gonna be. I mean, as
of right now, would be that the Browns are Bengals.
They get left out. So there's that. I mean, obviously
a f C South, maybe the Colts come back, but
I mean it's that it's a f C westf C North.
That's probably where your wild card teams gonna come from.

(13:20):
They are all winning, They're all above five. Every team
in the West and in the North are all above
And think about this. In the NFC East, no one
besides the Cowboys has a winning record, NFC North, no
one besides the Green Bay Packers has a winning record.
And then the NFC South Bucks Saints do that's it,

(13:42):
and then Cardinals Rams in the NFC West, that's it.
I mean it is. The playoffs have almost been clearly defined.
In the NFC. It would be Dallas, Green Bay, Tampa,
New Orleans, Arizona, l A. And then then who, like
maybe the Falcons. There are five hundred right now, so
maybe they climb back into that that last spot. But
I mean, it's gonna be interesting to see more happens

(14:04):
in the a f C playoff fixture because the NFC
has decided, like I'm sorry, unless these teams just fall apart,
the playoff picture is pretty much already there. Yeah, It's

team in the NFL um who thought they had found
their franchise quarterback and it has been a full blown
disaster and it got worse yesterday. We'll tell you who
they are right here on fs ARE. Be sure to
catch live editions of Two Pros and a Cup of

(14:46):
Joe with Brady Quinn, LaVar Errington and Jonas Knocks week
days at six am Eastern three am Pacific on Fox
Sports Radio and the I Heart Radio. It's two Pros
and a Cup of Joe here on Fox Sports Dio.
LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas knocks with the Here on
fs are coming up in Uh, we'll call it a
little bit over ten minutes from now on Fox Sports Radio. Uh,

(15:09):
there's a a team in football and a coach who's
not very well liked, who might have gotten a little
bit of good news yesterday, might have gotten some good
news potentially yesterday. Could we see a potential run at
a championship. We'll have that for you here. Uh ten
minutes from now on, fs are Uh So the Sam
Donald experiments working well in Carolina? Looks good. Ah, he

(15:33):
has an incomplete fracture of his right shoulder blade and
likely going to miss several weeks. I'm just one. I'm
just gonna make the first lame joke about it. So
he can't even complete a fracture, Brady Quinn, I got one?

(15:54):
I do mine? Can I do? Just when you thought
Sam Donald couldn't catch a break, look at you, guys,
a little comedy duo here. Alright, so peak complete is

(16:17):
really funny. Though he can't complete I mean, so, what
the f? So he's got an incomplete fracture shoulder blade.
He's gonna miss several weeks. This was not going well.
All right, let's let's just say what it is. But
the good news is at least they're not committed financially though.
Brady Quinn at least they haven't committed, you know, financially

(16:39):
to us. Sam don't sure about that, Yeah, sure, yeah,
why would why would they have committed. I'm pretty sure
they got to pay him, like you know, I don't, right,
they picked up his option. I'm sorry about that. Yeah,
I don't. I'm trying to figure out why that was done. Um. Well,
especially and just so people understand, there's a fifth year
option on first round draft pick contracts with the new

(17:03):
rookie wage scale. That's how these contracts are are negotiated now,
and there used to be a language where a team
would exercise the option for that fifth year, which there's
a big bump in what they get paid. It's it's
the most expensive year during that rookie contract, that five
year deal that a team would ever have to pay.
And it used to be that you had to pick

(17:24):
it up really before their fourth year and make a decision,
and then that following year that money was only guaranteed
if he got injured in year four. So, for example,
the Panthers, they picked up this option back in the
old days, only if this was an injury that would
then cause him to sit out the rest of the season.

(17:45):
Couldn't pass a physical come next March, would they be
on the hook for the eighteen point eight million dollars.
Now they've changed it and once you exercise the option
guaranteed all in that's what's owed to him. So they
exercise that and I think as an act of hey,
we're going all in on him. And unfortunately, just you know,

(18:06):
they got off to a good start and the season
just fell to the wayside at his play. Whether you
want to put it on Joe Brady, Christian McCaffrey not
being there for a good chunk of it. Uh, the
offensive light hasn't necessarily played well either, but but neither
as Sam Donald, you know, and it gets to a
certain point where it's it's hard to defend, you know,
some of the decisions, some of what he's doing out there.

(18:28):
So it's unfortunate. But yeah, the Panthers are on the
hook for that eighteen point eight million dollars. Next year,
they're gonna have to eat a portion of that. I mean,
I mean, what trade value is there, right, Like, nobody's
gonna nobody's gonna bail you out of that one. I mean,
this is this has got to be most likely the
last opportunity Sam Donald gets to be looked at legitimately

(18:51):
as a starting quarterback in the National Football League. You
don't get into many reprieves. He hasn't thrown a touchdown
pass in his last three games. Like I mean, like
this has been it's been bad for for weeks. And
it's yeah, but there's this and and yeah, but there
it's like come on, man, like like what are we
doing here? At some point like like doesn't isn't this

(19:12):
just you just acknowledge that, all right, it didn't work,
and now you've got to and and maybe this is
why you know the Deshaun Watson rumors were out there
with Carolina. Maybe maybe this is, you know, part of it,
and you know that they weren't totally bought in or
sold on Sam Donald. But I mean, it just hasn't worked, man.
So now we've got multiple stops where it hasn't worked.
And there's a lot of quarterbacks around the NFL who

(19:34):
don't even get a second chance. They don't get a
real opportunity to start with a second team after it
doesn't work with the first team that drafted him. Yet
he got his opportunity. Then you still hear some people
try and defend him as well. It's you know, the
pieces around him. This is multiple times, like multiple times
it is not worked, whether the Jets or with the
Carolina Panthers, and everybody was was ball washing him early

(19:55):
in the season, like, oh, we knew it was Adam
Gaze's fault. Well apparently not. I mean, like, how many
times we have to see this before we know we've
got enough evidence it's not working? Just not? Can I um?
Can I make a suggestion? I would love for us
to create a list of sayings that we do on
the show. Yea, and I feel like we should do

(20:17):
like a recap weekly of how many times we use
it during the week, Like you guys love ball washing
like you are. You guys are some of the most
ball washing as ball washers. I mean, I I'm not
sure who uses it the most. I think I'm pretty
certain it's Jonas. Yeah, I'm pretty I'm pretty certain. I mean,

(20:37):
I'm pretty certain. You go to bid like ball washing
and then you wake up and it's like good morning
ball washing. Like, I think we should create a list
because I think we have sayings and I think it's
pretty interesting and I think they're very well placed. They
were very well placed, they were very well used. Um.
I don't think anybody's gonna be ball washing Sam Donald. Um.

(20:59):
I think that he's He's in an interesting situation in
scenario here. And I think that the Carolina Panthers are
also in a situation where they won't be getting ball
washed either. And and you know, I just think that
when you think about Christian McCaffrey and and the injuries,
I don't think that people will be ball washing him, um,

(21:19):
in terms of what he's got going on, and and
I mean and so on and so forth. Right, I
think it goes down to Matt Rule, who I would
love the ball washing. Matt Rule is one of my guys.
But you know what, with that being said, you know,
he's got to do better. And so I think that
it's a tough situation in Carolina. But I also think
that we should create a list of of sayings that

(21:39):
we do on this Listen, have a roughneck? Does roughneck
work for you? Because roughneck is who they are turning to,
a Houston Roughneck of the xflocker. P J. Walker got
some love. Uh that rules? You know, former former player
there at he played for Matt Rural Temple something and
so we got we got Pete A. Walker stepping in

(22:01):
to duty for the Carolina Panthers. Don't matter who's stepping
in right now. If that offense is gonna look the
way it has, I mean, they're not good up front
of the offensive line. And unless you know Christian McCaffrey
is gonna explode and becoming the m v P conversation
the second half of the season with his play, it
just ain't gonna happen. Man, this this team is devoid

(22:21):
of some of their you know, big time playmakers. So
are you saying that this isn't the off season that
Joe Brady is going to get a head coaching job,
because he should have literally jetted after the first four
games this season they started off three and oh maybe
after the first he should have just been like, yep,
piece out, I got it because now no one wants

(22:41):
that stench. No one's bringing that in right now Like
this is. This is why I never blame coaches for
when they have momentum, taking that next step up with
that next opportunity, because it always comes back to bite them.
I mean Dino Babers, for example. This is at the
college level, he was a hot name like two or
three years ago. Now, even though he's doing a good

(23:04):
job of Syracuse like people like, it's just you know, people,
and people just want they forget about you. That's the
bottom line. They forget about you and they start to
move on after that. And that's to me, that's always
the toughest part in all this. So when Syracuse beat
Clemson on that Fridayay game, you would have told him
to resign immediately. Well, they had a ten win season,
you know they that I believe that was like back

(23:26):
in two thousand eighteen. I think they beat Clemson. It
had like a ten win season. It was like all right,
let's go, like like where are we going? And then
he didn't end up going anywhere and then they went
five and seven, and I think, like last year, they're
awful during the COVID year. But you know, yeah, listen
if so if you're Joe Brady. After they got off
to that hot start, everybody was talking about all the

(23:47):
rushing touchdowns of Sam darn Like, oh my god, even
even he could turned Sam Donald into a rushing quarterback,
you would have told him to resign and then go
take the l s U job. After ed Ardron was
was fired because he had too many girlfriends that were
or like twenty years old or not girlfriends. Okay, yeah,
not or not girlfriends. I don't believe it was that
at all. In fact, it was it was not that

(24:09):
was the problems. They weren't his girlfriends he was trying
to make them. In fact, they were somebody else's baby
mama girl. Yeah. Yeah, take it a step further, like
keep talking about other work, like third trimester, like mistaking
the fact that she's pregnant. Look, you got to, uh,

(24:33):
like you beautiful get to a gas station for for
four things gas, energy, drinks, snacks, and to get hit
on Fred horse Ron. Yeah, that's that's that's all you do. Yeah,
that's yeah. You're going to get filled up, right, that's
what you gotta. You gotta get your car filled up.

(24:53):
You do gotta fill your car up. You gotta fill
your car up. Definitely, stick it in there. Just happens
to be there. Offer the same service that you got
in there in philadelp with the two pros and a
cup of Joe. Yeah. Unleaded addition, here on Fox Sports Radio,

(25:18):
all right, it's like eight dollars in California, it's a joke.
But have you seen gas prices in Pennsylvania. What's the
difference right now when he goes much different? Oh my god,
it's much different, just as much. But let me tell
you this. Everyone's dealing with that inflation and all that.
Everyone's paying more for everything, no matter where you're at.
It's it's obviously all you know, relative to where you're at,

(25:41):
but still you're paying more for That's it's tough right now,
it's a joke coming up, we'll call it. Fifteen minutes
from now, we are going to have another edition of
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly as we hand
out some awards here for the week that was in
the world of sports here right here on f s
are alright, So Eddie Garcia mentioned the college football playoff ranking.
I couldn't help but noticed who jumped up a spot

(26:02):
at number six. The leap frog action there, Brady Quinn. Uh.
A lot of people have called me the Jim hardball washer.
If we're keeping on the same theme, Uh, look at Michigan.
Listen on the outside looking in a little bit here,
but Michigan, Uh potential or we could we see a
potential run at a college football playoff birthday, Brady, if
we get some things done late in the season, including

(26:24):
a win in Ann Harbor on Thanksgiving weekend or what
I don't this weekend? I just I don't get it.
They got a game this weekend. What you talking about?
I understand, I get it, but you know, what are
you talking about trying? Here's what he's talking about. The
committee decides to rank these teams based on the rest

(26:47):
of the schedule to then justify their decisions to put
who they want the top four. Because there is no
reason Michigan should be ahead of Michigan State. These two
teams played each other, Michigan State one. It's a part
of your criteria, head to head play. It's why Oregon

(27:10):
is ahead of Ohio State at this point. Like they
created that criteria. Now I don't know how they prioritize
or wait that criteria, but you created it and it
just happened two weeks ago. Like I know, Michigan State
lost to two. I get that, But the bottom line
is Michigan lost to Michigan State. There's no reason and

(27:34):
they should have their spots flipped. And I would just
ask this, then, does that make any difference if Ohio
State beats Michigan State and beats Michigan, Like whether they're
six and seven or seven and six, like, it doesn't
make a difference. The only difference it makes is is
if Michigan beats Penn State, which I think is a

(27:55):
gigantic if. Okay, if Michigan beats Penn State, then it
leads them to think, Okay, could they end up being
a one loss Big Ten champ if they beat Penn State,
if they beat Ohio State and win the Big Ten
Championship where they'd have to presumably beat Wisconsin in a

(28:15):
rematch on a neutral site. And so there's a lot
of big ifs, but like it's basically the committee saying,
we want to make sure we keep the Big Ten
alive and a team that we feel like it's most
justifiable based on the stats and based on the path
ahead that if they went out there in and it's
not necessary because if they're seven right now instead of six,

(28:39):
what does it matter? Like, why does that make that
big of a difference. I mean, hell, Ohio State came
from sixteen to eventually be number four in the playoff
to then go on to win a national championship its
first year, So I don't know why they felt it
was justified to move Michigan State behind Michigan. I think
they do a lot of this to your point, because

(29:01):
it does, yes, because it doesn't matter, because none of
this stuff, because it's it's most of this stuff is
going to play itself out anyways. But if there can
be a storyline each week that will, you know, incite
some sort of a backlash or some sort of a
debate or controversy, it's why it's put on. When it's
done so it takes up part of the conversation on
a Wednesday in sports radio and television where people can

(29:23):
get upset about it the following day. You're right, it
doesn't matter. And if Ohio State wipes them out in
a few weeks or if they lose to Penn State,
it's not gonna matter. So they get wiped out. If
they lose to Penn State, Well, you know, I'm hating
your heart there still hate heart? Are we are? Okay?
We get that hate out of your heart right now, man,

(29:46):
you are? But do you guys, okay, do you guys
think that's that far fetched that the committee looks this
and goes, why not if we can manipulate one thing
or another, you know, and it can create a week
of conversation around our rankings and our television show, of course,
because why else you gonna tune in? And furthermore, like,

(30:07):
you don't have to get it right this week, No
you don't. Like I've said this the entire time. I
said this to the rest of our crew and people
who want to be like outraged by it. The reality
is they don't have to get it right this week.
When you attack Tim Brando on Twitter? Is that when
that happened when you went after Tim Brando and I
just I just told him to relax. At his age,
he's gotta be careful, man. You can't get too stressed

(30:27):
out a Timmy. It's Timmy, the tapper, the tapper. He's
gotta be you know, he's too old to be getting
stressed out about this. I love him Brando and him
him and Spencer on games after it many. You know,
I have a long standing bone that has existed with Spencer.

(30:50):
You know when I when my you know, it's funny.
I was telling this story last night because somebody was
saying they were at the game where you know, I
hit the punter and stuff like that. So let me
take one second to clear this up since you brought
up Spencer right, because Spencer Spencer game, can you give
us a time frame? So nine nine, we're playing against

(31:11):
pitt And I was a media sweetheart my entire career
up into this game. I go from being a media
sweetheart and a superhero player to a national villain for
the rest of my career. It's like crazy. So I
was told I was tasked. I was I was game

(31:32):
planned to hit the punters on punts. It was a
a tactic to get the punter uh you know, uh
kind of uneat you know, uneasy and and nervous and
shank punts. And that's what they did most more often
than not. This this game in particular is pitt I'm
from Pittsburgh, so you know, I probably hit the punter

(31:56):
a little too early. I didn't let the like everything
clear and then circle up and then hit him. I
just went and hit him, and I got a flag
for it, and and then I hit him, you know,
again and again. And the one time I stayed on
him and they tried to fight me, I almost got
thrown out of the game. And Spencer says, you know,

(32:18):
this guy is an All American and he's so much
bigger than this punter. He needs to be picking on
somebody his own size. I don't think this doesn't make
any sense to me, Like that's poor play Lavard like
kind of like what's going in on me? And I'm like,
this dude, played ball. Why are you jumping on me
like this? Like you know, I'm I'm doing my job.

(32:41):
I'm doing my job. And I never liked Spencer ever
since that every ever since, I never since and I
never liked him. And so do you remember the punter?
Do you remember who the pa? I think his name
was Greg the Boat. I think his name was Greg
the Boat. Um and and and listen, I mean it's
just a part of it. And and you know I

(33:02):
want big dudes asses too, you know what I mean.
I'm a tooth chipper, like I've never been afraid of
the smoke with anybody. So the idea of him saying that,
you know, my whole my whole thing was I'm I'm
acting like a tough guy with a punter. It really
offended me. So thank you for bringing that up, Brady,
because now that gave me an opportunity to or jon

(33:22):
As you brought up to brand. It gave me an
opportunity to like have a therapeutic moment on our show.
Thank you very much, and thank you to everyone out
there listening to me. Get that off my chest because
that's been there for some time. I am looking at
Greg de Bolt right now. That's that is the name
that I see, Greg de Bolt. I'm trying to find
uh if we have any more like a height weight. No,

(33:44):
he was little, but but it doesn't matter what it's
He was little, but my job was to jack his
ass up, and I did. That's his job. That's what
was my job, execute his job. I was told to
do it, I was tashd to do it. We practiced it,
and I did it. I'm not afraid to go knock

(34:04):
a punter out if that's what I've been asked to do.
You got this dude saying that I pick on dude.
I wasn't picking on him. I was doing my job.
If he was if he was six eight, two fifty
pounds and he was a punter, I do the same
exact thing. Now might look different. Well, he's a punter,
just doing your job. I better be able to win.

(34:25):
So so Spencer kick a rock Now I feel much
better and at a cup of joe here Fox Sports Radio.

Jonas Knocks Coming up top the next hour, A subtle
dig from a Super Bowl champion in preparation and a
head of a big time matchup in the NFL this weekend.
You will hear it coming up in about ten minutes
from now. Was passed over by a lot of people
for other stories that came out, but you will hear
it in about ten minutes from now on Fox Sports Radio.

(35:54):
Right now, it is time for something we do on
the show every single week called this. There are some
good things that happened, and there's some bad, and then
there's some downright ugly things. It's time for good bad
and alright, lead lab, let's pass it around. Who gets
what this week? And what awards are we handing out?

(36:16):
As always, let's start with Uh, let's start on a
good note, Brady, what's your good for the week. My
good for the week is, well, it's partially what I
just witnessed last night. Um, I told you earlier the show,
I gave out some ill advised advice, UH, to my
boss at work to go ahead and lay the points
with Western Michigan taking on Akron, who has fired their

(36:40):
head coach, but their interim head coach, Oscar Rodriguez Jr.
He's a two time cancer survivor. Really great story. The
team has played extremely hard for him. Um, that did
got to win a few weeks back. But overall they're
planned better. They're playing more competitive than what we saw
earlier in the seas in for example when they lost

(37:01):
to Auburn six to ten, o Ohio State fifty nine
to seven UM. And so they have been improved in
large part to their interim head coach at two time
cancer survivor Oscar Rodriguez Jr. Hey And if if they
continue this, maybe they could find a way of sneaking
in some winds, not just covering. Maybe he gets the
head coaching job permanently. On from the good onto the bed.

(37:24):
That's you this week, LaVar, Who do you got for
bad this week? Come on, man, Tony CRNTI bad, bad,
bad and more bad. Like, okay, throw your flag. You
you had at least a good whistle. You know you
had a good minute to throw your flag, buddy, And
you're gonna wait and hip check the dude before you

(37:47):
throw your flag. It was his check before. By the way,
by Tony Creanti looked like one of those women in
the juvenile video back in the day, like oh it
hit me. I was abused, Like bro, like you are not? Yeah,
a little back that thing outside you jumped up in

(38:08):
there and and you know, for what it's worth, if
a player does something bad, players get put on blast.
And I'm talking about how they're you know, how they're disciplined.
This was bad and I feel like this ref. If
we're going to be mad at Aaron Rodgers, the ugly
thing here is is that this ref should have to

(38:29):
answer for doing that. That's what I believe, Jona and
everybody should know what it is. Sam right, Jonas, let
us know what was ugly this week. Uh. The Atlanta
Falcons are four and for. I don't get it. I
don't get it. I don't understand. I don't understand how
they're that. Ryan just played his best game of the season. Cool,
he's due for another ten bad ones. I don't get it.

(38:50):
I don't understand their four and four. They're five football team.
If the playoffs started today, which thank Christ they don't,
the Atlanta Falcons would be your seventh seed in the playoffs.
I didn't. I don't get it. I don't know how
this team is fourn for. They're not a good football team.
They've been outscored by forty five points all year long.

(39:11):
I listen, I don't I don't. It doesn't make any
sense to me. It's ugly. It's ugly football. If not
for young Waikup, this team is staring down the barrel
of a rebuilding process heading after this season. And here
we are, They're sitting at four and four and I would,
I would venture to guess there's at least four to
five teams below them in the standings that are better

(39:33):
football teams in the Atlanta found that's not not in
the end of ugly. Ugly. Look that Ryan's playing extremely well.
Kyle Pitts. Really they haven't really played together this season.
When they do. Just imagine that man is an animal man.
He is unbelievable. Let's ball wash him until this segment
is Listen, he's had I mean the game in London,

(39:55):
the game in London was in London was his best
game because well because he's scored in London. That's why
scored in London. There, you know, and you're probably wondering,
how do you remember that? Well, I got him on
my fantasy team. I know you're wondering about that. Whatever, downheads,
little ball washing. Fox Sports Radio has the best sports
