on fs ARE, it is a good Friday. It's also
our executive producer lead to lapsed birthday. When do we
want an effort calling him on the air to see
(01:03):
if we could out that's the best chance you think, so, yeah,
your best chance, there's no I mean, we might catch
him on the toilet with his phone. That's a good point,
or some cereal. Yeah, that's a very good point. So
last that's actually likely. I mean based on breakfast burrito,
based on his diet from a couple of days ago,
where he had every carnival food item that you could
(01:26):
possibly think of, corn dogs, burgers, just revolting. Have you
ever had lamb lowing? What lamb lone? Yeah? I made
some yesterday. It was amazing. What is it? I look
like little steaks, look like miniature steaks? It was it
too uh lamby or gaming? It was? It was amazing.
(01:50):
Huh And uh what would you have it with? Did
you sign it with anything? It was a top so
I'm a rice with it, and and asparagus. It was amazing.
I marinated it like I did a rub. I marinated
it for a few hours and then I took it out.
And and so my latest thing, the latest way I
cook things on the grill is I put it on
(02:12):
one of those It's like it's like the cover that
goes on the grill, you know, like the things where
you get the the lines on the on the meat,
but you could pick it up, you know what I mean.
So so like when it starts like stuff, it's not
directly on the covers that are over the flame, so
I could pick it up, you know what I mean.
(02:33):
It's it's like changed the way I'm able to cook.
It's pretty pretty flamming. It was amazing fresh off of
bird from Harrisburg and there you are, they rush cooking lamb.
I had to. I made. I made, like I think
there were ten of them, and you know, because I
have kids that live with me that I take in
or whatever. So it's like I had enough for everybody.
(02:55):
I had to, And I was like, I made enough
where there will be enough to have it for breakfast
this morning, like on my way out. Like it was
so good you could just grab it and eat it,
almost like an apple type deal, like like a marinaddd
so good. Cooked it well, it wasn't um overcooked, nice,
nice little warm red middle and nothing. I want to
(03:19):
look for it. It's gone again. I'm not gone. I'm
not trying to judge anybody here. I know, man, it
doesn't make it lamb lamb for breakfast? Yeah? Why not?
Oh my mammo bro um and I would have went
down and took my morning time and and and the
and the party and and had it in my hand. Well,
(03:40):
I saw what you put together before the show, that
little coffee mixed here. Something tells me, h, you know,
that'll be fast approaching here soon. Uh. My stomach is
empty though, Okay, I think I'm good. However, upon leaving
that that area in this building, someone had already I
mean they had they gotta go get checked for an
(04:02):
infection or something because that was not that did not
sell smell. And they put his break hands in there
by the way, you know. And if that didn't do it,
look burto looking real guilty right now. I don't know, man.
I think I think he's clean. I think Burno's clean.
Is good. Yeah, I think he is. Monday is another
story like that's a Monday's usually the issue around here. Um,
(04:25):
all right, so I think I'm gonna go get a
colonic soon. What do you guys? Are you guys into this? Yeah?
Don't they have to stick something somewhere? A listen here, man,
Colon health is the best help. That's true. That is true.
Um No, I'm not talking, Kyle heard alright, we are
(04:50):
we're offering. Well, speaking of uh you mentioned h Colin Coward, Um,
you know, one of his arch rivals, Baker Mayfield, that
we've gotta may have some bad new for Baker Mayfield. So, um,
he was mentioning on the You Never Know podcast that uh,
you know, there's the team that makes the most sense
(05:10):
as far as uh you know him, you know, wanting
to pursue his uh starting quarterback dreams in the NFL
at least immediately would be the Seattle Seahawks. And um,
you know, he just kind of had some hope when
it comes to Seattle Seahawks, and the Seahawks decided, you
know what, that's a great idea, we do need another quarterback,
and so they went ahead and they signed Gino Smith.
(05:33):
So Gino Smith has been signed by the Seattle Seahawks, which, uh,
I don't know if that's got a direct impact on
Baker Mayfield, meaning that completely eliminates him from the from
the process. But I just feel like we're running out
of chairs in the game of musical chairs for Baker Mayfield,
and at some point he's gonna fall on his ass
(05:54):
and maybe end up being a backup. That's what it
feels like here, uh, it's head in that direction. But
I think the issue is no one's going to give
up any draft compensation to trade for him. Like that's
that's the humbling reality of this is even as and
then look, I think he's done a good job in Cleveland,
(06:15):
I really do. I've been an advocate for him and
and tried to, you know, see the fact that he
was dealing with a lot of injuries and playing through
some stuff last year, as were some other players. Wasn't
just him. I'm surprised it's gotten to this point where
we're at where we're at. I really thought he'd get
a second contract. But what's happening now has got to
(06:38):
be humbling because there had to have been either between
something going on behind the scenes or things that he
was saying privately that's gotten out to other teams because
no one's willing to trade for him, And part of
it may have to be, you know, do with the
fact that they don't think he deserves the what is
an eighteen point nine or whatever it is on his
(07:00):
fifth year option eighteen point eight and then having to
agree to a long term deal. It could be that,
or it could just be the fact that you know,
they don't see him or for see him being the
type of guy to be able to take them to
a super Bowl, even though he has taken the Browns
to a playoff and won a playoff game. So I
think there's that. I think there's a limited amount of
(07:20):
spots you can really go to. So unless something happens
before the draft and you see some sort of trade
compensation that takes place, I wouldn't be shocked if he
didn't get released, and if they didn't, you know, then
allow him to go on the free agent market and
figure out where he goes next. And if that was
(07:40):
the case, you know, then I think you're looking at
places where all right, what guys there that's on the
hot seat, and meaning like a Daniel Jones with the
New York Giants. And I know they got Tyrod Taylor,
but you know Baker Mayfields have planet you know before,
so we've seen that story, Taylor. Do I mean, especially
if that were to play out, i'd other time. Um,
(08:01):
I mean, Carolina might be more willing to sign him
in a more economical deal. You know, the New Orleans
Saints might be a team they say, hey, let's bring
him in Uh, to have him compete with the quarterbacks
we've got, you know, there's other guys, or he might
have to say, all right, I'm gonna be a backup.
And you know, I wonder how, remember we talked about
Bruce Arians love Baker Mayfield would make a lot of
sense to sit behind Tom Brady for a year. That's
(08:23):
scenaria is not really there. I mean now it's Todd
Bowl's team. I don't know how Byron left which feels
about you know, Baker Mayfield. I don't know what influenced
Bruce Arians would have over them bringing him in. So
it's just a big question mark for him at this point.
I think Houston could make some sense to uh. He
is a Texas kid, Davis Mills, they like him, they
want to bring that, But why not bring a veteran
(08:44):
guy like that in there too? If David S. Mills
in the guy you got Baker, you know he's capable
of winning some games. So I just it's a tough,
humbling spot for him to be in right now. But
I do wonder how much of it has to do
with things he said privately and and maybe the reputation
that he's gotten with some of the things he said publicly.
Mm hmm. Well, if I'm Baker, may feel if if
(09:09):
we make it through the draft and I'm still on,
if I'm still employed by the Cleveland Browns, it's definitely
going to end with him being released. So now the
question becomes, with that being said, he's not He's not
a free agent, so I'm I'm I'm certain they probably
have given his his agent the freedom to seek a trade. Um.
(09:35):
They should be talking to as many able body suitors
as they possibly can. If I listen, if I'm if
I'm another team, if I'm the Carolina Panthers, if I'm
even even the Atlanta Falcons that brought in uh Mariota,
if if I'm Seattle, whoever it may be, there may
be there may be enough value there to I don't
(10:00):
want to allow for him to have to go through
through waivers to try to get him. We don't want
to risk it. We're gonna wait and see, wait as
long as we can before we make this decision, because
he is going to want to be paid. Um. But
it just seems as though I would wait as well
(10:20):
if I'm in this scenario and see how it plays out.
But if I'm Baker, I'm making sure my agents are
trying to facilitate some type of something with one of
these organizations and trying to figure out who's most interested
in and who I you know, in me, Because you're right,
I mean, I do think that starting the starting position
(10:43):
is certainly, you know, not looking like it's it's that
good right now, unless it's one of those few teams
that have questionable guys that's starting for the team. Let
me ask you guys this, all right, so we've talked
about this pretty Baker. Mayfield plays well when he's got
a red ass, correct, like the puffy fired up, yeah,
(11:03):
the puffy bottom, whatever you wanna call it. But when
he's got a red ass, he plays. Yeah. He doesn't
like saying red ass because he feels like, I like,
I think I think red ass makes sense. But the
puffy bottom just seems like, yeah, puffy bottom is the
same thing as rid it, you know, Yeah, it's just weird.
It just sounds weird to me. But because I can't
get one, I think one of him sounds like you
gotta sit on one of those donuts, and the one
(11:25):
it sounds like you're just you're upset, you're fired up.
When Baker Mayfield's fired up, he's he plays well correct
when he's fired up, when he's piste off, when he's
got a red shirt. I mean, I think he was
upset at some points this season that didn't work. So
let's let's say he gets released. All right, Is a
fired up Baker Mayfield better than Mason Rudolph? Well? Sure,
(11:49):
but I think you know, could he end up in
Pittsburgh if that's where you're going with this, it was,
and he probably be in my opinion, he'd be better
than any of the quarterbacks on that roster. So yes,
And by the way, uh, you know, not only does
that seem like it's going to happen, I think that's
one of the reasons why the Browns will do everything
they can to trade him for something, because they want
(12:11):
to control where he goes. And I don't think they
want to trade him to the Pittsburgh Steelers because they
know that that's a great organization. He could excel there
and he would have that red ass with that defense,
with some of the weapons they have, that'd be a
dangerous combination. And the truth is he would be the
best quarterback on that roster. I'm actually part of me
is hoping this scenario plays out only because I think
(12:34):
it'd be fun to see that rivalry, because there would
be a lot of heat, a lot of spice to it.
Talking about his red ass will be a lot of
red asses, you know coming out of that one certainly
would be uh, certainly would be. I would need to
get those uh you know worked on. All right, It

Garrett would treat him. I they I mean probably slam
(13:19):
his head and with the helmet. Yeah, there's that. I
mean think about I wonder what that type of exchange
is going. He makes the rout off that way? Are
you going to Baker Mayfield? What do you say? You know?
I gotta be careful, okay, there's alleged I'm certain Baker
Mayfield would know what to say to Miles Garrett. Get
(13:41):
him to take his own helmet off his head and
he probably would. Um. All right. Coming up next, could
we have seen a peek into the future in the
NFL draft a player sliding down the draft board. We'll

Jonas knocks with you here on fs ARM. Coming up,
we'll call it a little over ten minutes from now. Um.
(15:31):
It is a reminder of how things were back in
the day in the world of sports, a reminder of
better days from years past. We will get into all
that because it returns this weekend. We'll have that for
you here coming up about ten minutes from now on
fs ARE. So, the NFL Draft is coming up in
a couple of weeks in Las Vegas, uh and um,
the NFL announced the list of players who will be
(15:54):
in attendance at the draft. Twenty one in total will
be there at this year's draft in Las Vegas. And
you guys obviously being uh, you know, first round draft
picks and going through the whole process is it me
or is that never kind of light in comparison to
years past, It always felt like there was more than
that at the draft. It's definitely light. It's definitely light,
(16:17):
and I hate to um. I mean, one, it's in
Las Vegas, which is a bit surprising because that's gonna
be one heck of a time, you I mean when
it was in New York. To me, and I've said
this a thousand times, when when I was invited to go,
you know, I was like, yeah, of course. And there
were people in my family because I had all sorts
of relatives come out. They had never been to New
(16:39):
York before and they probably I don't know that they'll
ever go back again. So not only was it a
once in a lifetime opportunity for me, it was a
once in a lifetime opportunity for them too. And I
always felt like, you know that they're kind of part
of the journey. Right. All that being said, it is
now getting to the point where it's become such an event,
(16:59):
and probably even was back then that they got to
start doing something to incentivize the players to go because
they're they're able to do something in their hometowns or
elsewhere where. They can have a draft party and get
paid for it, And so why would you go to
Las Vegas or I think in the future it's there,
It's there's plans to be in Detroit. Why would you
(17:21):
go to any of that unless you're incentivized to go
when you could get paid elsewhere and you're not gonna
get paid the following year for a draft party. It's
not your draft, you know. So it's kind of a
once in a lifetime opportunity. So I can kind of
see both sides of wanting to be there to experience
what that's like, but also the opportunity that's out there
for these players. Has there never been incentives to go
(17:43):
as nobody ever like had a sponsorship or something like that.
I'll put it this way. And you know, when when
I went, I was out there early that week when
it was in New York and in part because I
had other marketing opportunities that I was there for, so
we really have to be there. And back then it
was I think a Saturday and Sunday. Now they moved
(18:03):
to a Thursday, Friday, you know, Saturday Sunday deal. Um,
But we we did it where like I was in
town Monday, and I was doing different deals for you know,
whether it was like Subway or Sprint or some of
the other opportunities that were there. There was an event
for Xbox. I had to go to a Nike and
there's all this stuff. So some of it was a
part of the what the NFL I had planned for you.
(18:24):
I mean, we would get up early in the morning,
I always worked out of five, would jump on the
bus and we go around to different community service events.
We go around to different kind of appearances and and
photo ops all that, and then you know, you'd go
on that night to different marketing opportunities or there are
you know, different you know parties or whatever that were
going on. So it was like a full week event
(18:46):
of things going on. But you know, some of so
some of that was around, you know, going there for
the draft and so, but it wasn't like it wasn't
promoted or wasn't brought on by the NFL. So that's
the hard thing is like some of it came from that,
but only because I have to be in New York
during that week. Uh. I'll say this, I feel like
(19:07):
I might be different on this one. I certainly for
my family and the experience of it, as you mentioned,
But I just look at it as it is a
crowning moment for what you're accomplishing. So I wouldn't I
wouldn't have said you need to pay me to be
at the Home Depot College Football Awards, even though they're
(19:28):
making money off of it and they're profiting off of
all of these amazing talents being in the same room
to receive awards. Um it's a production. Obviously, it gets bought.
There's there's advertisers and and different things that are connected
to it. And you know, I didn't. I didn't. I
didn't want that. I didn't want to be paid for that. UM.
(19:50):
I felt the same way about the draft. It's like
an awards show. You're being awarded the pick that that
you've earned, you know, and and to have moment in
that opportunity, and you know that your parents to be
able to experience it, you to be able to experience it,
I don't think you can even put a price tag
on it. So for me, I just kind of I
(20:11):
guess I fall on the other side of it in
terms of like, you don't have to incentivize me to
be rewarded or or or to accept what what my
next you know, my next birth is you know, and
that's just kind of you know, for me, I just
looked at it as more as this is an awards show.
It's it's it's an ah. You know, you're assembling to
(20:33):
to celebrate you know, you getting a job. Basically, I
just like, even if you're not wanting that, I'm surprised
that nobody with an opportunity to be seen on television
in the draft room or wherever ever came or maybe
there was rules against the NFL saying you can't promote
your own individual thing on our broadcast. I don't know.
(20:53):
I'm just surprised more companies wouldn't have already been taken
advantage of how are you promoting those things? Like well,
you mean like what don't know a diet coke and
you've got a diet coke? You two leader bottle on
your table. I don't might slip in the draft you
started drinking soda. That slipping the draft all there. You
might you might climb, you know, you might get you
(21:15):
might get taken higher than one or in Brady's case, Chipotle,
maybe Chipotle could have offered up sponsor. You would become
the first pick it last year, you know, no Chipotle
sponsorship for for you know, I told you that, Okay,
you're gonna hear that, LaVar. This is how ignorant I
was when I was coming out and I had an opportunity.
(21:39):
I was working with Subway and and what part of
the agreement was. You know, there was a couple of
commercials I I had to do, and then some radio
interviews as as part of it. And so Mike and
Mike has has me call in early one morning, and
you know, they asked you that that question of hey,
you know when you get drafted, like what's the first
thing you're gonna buy or whatever? And honestly, like I
(22:01):
was never that person who had anything that I like
cared to buy or really needed or wanted. It was
always like, hey, I'm gonna try to take to my
parents that sort of thing. And I paused because Chipotle
came into existence in my hometown when I was in
high school, and I love Chipotle. I could eat at
(22:22):
that place every day, twice a day, seven days a week,
like you can ask, it was the best. And I'm
honestly and I would cry, I'm saying I would have
like a burrito and three tacos. I remember one sitting,
I got a burrito and six tacos. Like I loved
it that much, was a sag. So I paused and
(22:45):
I go, you know what. I was like, Actually, I go,
if I could, I'd buy a Chipotle. I was like,
I love Chipotle. It's like the greatest thing. I started
hyping up Chipotle. Right. Meanwhile, like Mike and Mike are
kind of laughing, and I think because they were like
very like you came to promote Subway, like as one
of it, and and not not that I was supposed
(23:06):
to promote it, but I was like, on on behalf
of subway. And so I get off the phone and
my marketing as she calls me because dude, what are
you doing? And I go, what do you mean? He goes,
you just waited an interview for Subway. Go well, yeah,
but I mean like burritos and sums, it's not the
same thing. He goes the same category. He was like,
(23:31):
you idiot. I was like, oh my bad. I was like,
I'll just apologize right some of the letter. Yeah, I mean,
although remember you got some heat because it was a
Joe Theisman who said he thought it was disrespectful your
chewing gum right, And so the backstory behind that was
Roger Goodell was nice enough. Um. After pick number nine,
(23:52):
I think I got up because I was, you know,
the picks were longer back then, and I had to
go to the bathroom like I was waiting waiting to pee,
and I was just like, man, I gotta wait. I
canna at least wait till nine, because that's when I'm
you know, I thought maybe I would go, and once
I didn't, I looked at my my parents was like,
I gotta get the bathroom. So I walked around back
and Rogers like, hey, you know, if you if you
(24:12):
need you can always like use our sweet and all that.
Obviously getting a lot of camera time, so as we
work through the pics and the room started to clear out,
like there's not many people left in the room anymore.
It's just me, uh he I. He approached me one
more time and he said, hey, um, he was if
you want to like please, you know, feel free. You're
not inconvenient stuff in any way. And the more I
(24:33):
thought about it, the more I was like, well, I
knew what I signed up for, but I don't know
that my parents knew what they signed up for, and
and and like they don't feel comfortable being on camera
the whole time, or maybe even watching me. Have to
deal with that, right, So I kind of sent them
back there. I think I did a interview with like
Susie Colber or something like that. But in the meantime,
one of my boys, Jake, he was like, hey, can
(24:55):
get you anything, because he was out there in the crowd,
and I go, dude, if you get some Chipotle, that'd
be really money. Right now, everyone's stopping. So literally we
got like a whole box of burritos and like took
over Roger Cartel's green room and it just reeked of Chipotle.
And so we're sitting there like while the picks happening,
while I'm like getting the information. Um, the people like
(25:18):
jerking me did run up on stage, and because I
was sitting down next to my dad and and so
I was like, someone give me some gum and grab
some gum. I don't want my breath this awful, and
I'm going up having to talk to people, and we
were I was kind of like a little disheveled at
that point because it literally happened with the last two
minutes of the twenty second pick, like it like Cleveland
called me because I thought I was going the next pick,
(25:41):
and then but Cleveland called me the twenty second pick,
and I was like, oh no, so that people are
pulling me, dragging me with this and that. I was like,
I didn't even have time to like look into a mirror.
Like next thing, I know, I'm on stage with stinky
breath trying to chew gum to get rid of it,
and someone throws me a hat and I'm just like,
all right, here we go. And that was the beginning
of you were able to his arrogant and disrespectful because
(26:02):
you were chewing gum on stage. I don't know that
arrogant was used. I think you might have been blowing
that out of college. Yes, yeah, you want to like
the studio restroom right now. He wasn't a liarity to it.
Was like, you know, I talked to Joe afterwards. I
(26:23):
think he obviously didn't know the full story to it,
so he was cool about it after the fact. But uh,
then he started doing all these these commercials for like
Prostates because he's always gonna to the bathroom, and I
was like, I'll be honest with you, ma'am. Like, if
you're selling yourself out for doing some sort of prostate medication,
like that's on you. But that's a little worse than
sing gum when you get drafted with Well, I didnt
(26:47):
hit him with that, was just like we did an
event together with that. You know, we did an event
together at the National Championship Game in two thousand and
twelve when I was down in Miami and I was
up on a panel with him, but then he he
wasn't there and there was like a crowded rods. Was like,
I don't know. I was like, you know, Joe's got
prostate issues, so maybe he's going to the bathroom. Oh no,
(27:09):
I mean that's he talks about. Want to say, Notre
Dame on Notre Dame crime. Jeez, he's gonna go. Hey,
you want to know what a small world this is?
When you did that interview with Mike and Mike, you know,
I believe if my math is correct here, the executive
producer of Mike and Mike at that time was Scott Shapiro,
(27:33):
who is now our boss. How about that, so you
probably comes full circle, So you probably talked to Scott
back then. Did the interview, and so now we've got
to find out, um, how much of a painting on
the phone? Wait won one one moment here. So you're
telling me that there's the possibility that lead the lap
(27:57):
could end up being a Scott Shapiro better believe at
some point of course, I quit today. Resonation, resonation immediately
in effect. There's no way. There is no way I
want to lead the lap leading me. There's no way. Yeah,
(28:18):
but we've got so much on him. I mean, I
know what, I take that back. I'm gonna stay work
your hair. We got enough on I'm following. Jonas is lead. Yeah,
we're going to own this place. And he's a man
of the people. He is definitely literally yeah, is literally
one of them. LaVar, You're safe, man, it's pretty Now
(28:39):
you gotta work. Oh can you hit the button on?
What do you mean? Line? Thank you? Yeah, double time
and a cup of Joe Fox trade. All right, I'm
coming up next is a special return this weekend in
(29:02):
the world of sports will happen for you? Hey, Eddie,
I can't help but notice there's a an excitement in
your voice, almost like something from your youth is making
its triumphant return this week. Yeah, wall to wall USFL
action eddie all weekend long? How about it? Now? Are
they good? Are the USFL score is going to be
in the updates? They have to be, right, I mean,
(29:23):
if we're doing regular season MLB games, why wouldn't the USFL.
You notice I'm always getting the hockey scores in there, right, yeah,
hockey guys. So yeah, of course, my personal my personal
feelings influence things I talked about. Are you gonna watch
every game? Yes? On the way, not live, not lied
because there is Easter on Sunday and we've got family
and stuff like that. But you know, we've got this
(29:45):
magical thing that we can record shows on and go
back and watch. Man. I mean you want to If
you want to quiz me on Monday, I'll be ready.
He will be ready. The feature game on at this
one Sunday night at eight Eastern time, Tampa Bay bandits
Pittsburgh Mawlers. How about that, LaVar. That's a man, I'm excited.
(30:07):
I can't wait to one. What seems that I pick?
I think you picked Saturday General's Stallions Jersey game on Saturday,
and then you got three on Sunday. That just sounds hot, right,
god man, so good? It just sounds Hey what hey?
Do you think do you think? Do you think these games?
(30:28):
Do you think these games? Do you know what a
mohler is? Now? Do you think these games are going
to outrage? Can outrage the NBA? That doesn't need to
be sexy. That's that's uh. I hope no one cares
our mascot. Alright, sorry for interrupting. Sorry, sorry about that.
I'm not picking any team now that refused to you know,
(30:54):
noe gone. I don't want to interrupt the conversation here.
Just go ahead. You can see I'm not anymore. Are
we doing like a little tournament? I don't know. I
thought Jonas was going to be the Houston Gamblers, right,
that's right? Maybe I could go in the other direction.
You never know, though. We should acknowledge live that Jesus
lost again, Yule. I'm pretty sure he had on Twitter
(31:19):
about it. Well, I under seven and a half, but
I think he accidentally posted over seven and a half.
I'm not mistaken, So we'll see um which, by the way,
to hey, Coach Kirby Wilson was a coach that was
on staff as a running backs coach at one point
in Washington for one of the staffs that you know,
one of the many stats that I played for. How
(31:40):
did that good good coach, good guy. Yeah, he was
a good coach, good guy, real good and he had
a great run in Pittsburgh as well. I believe in
this is the Gamblers or is this no, this is
the Mallers. You're focused on that, of course I am.
I don't even who's even the head coach of Alibert
or the Birmingham. Don't even know the Stallions team. You
(32:01):
don't know who the head coach is. Seriously, no idea
and he's tying it up and that's not true, Spink,
skip holds, this is him back when he was with
the game Cocks. Yeah, the Cocks down there and something. Yeah,
that's why I like, well, I went to see Lou
(32:21):
Lou was the head coach. Then Skip holds related to
Lou Holtz son. Are you serious? I mean, sorry, I
don't know the Holtz family tree I down there in
South Carolina. How do you not know? Skip? He was
a part of Steve Spurrier was a head coach then, man,
come on, probably knew he was his son at the
(32:42):
h the HBC was there. Nobody remembered Lou Holtz at
that point, all right, with the headball coach in town.
Come on now, I'm just saying that nobody's talking about
you get a Spurrier after Lou Holtz. Yeah, well that's
a that's an interesting move. Well, you go from like
one older coach to another older coach as you kind
of like buck the trend to go the exact opposite direction.
(33:02):
I'm not sure if there was an in between between
the two, but I do know that Steve Spurrier was
after the World's I was gonna stay too, Like they
both just want to golf while they're they're like they
convinced that them they get higher than they're like, you're
gonna play golf. And by the way, almost positive. Steve
Spurrier showed up on coaches shows hammered like a couple
(33:23):
of weeks ago. To bring it, to bring it full circle,
Steve Spurrier was the head coach of the Tampare Bandits
in the original US. Yeah, how about that great pool.
Maybe I'll go Pittsburgh Malers. Yeah, dropped that hammer. That's
all right, you could come on, there's hammers to go
(33:44):
around Edie, who's your team, Edie, who's your team? Well,
the Bandits were my team back in the eighties, so
I'll stick with him. Even though Todd Haley is coaching. Hey,
Todd Hag, I'm cool with. Is he gonna get shoved
over in a bar in New Year's Eve with his wife?
Is that gonna happen? Reportedly breaking a hip, but nobody
(34:04):
wanted to talk about that afterwards. Know, things happen sometimes.
Tequila Cowboy, remember that Brady did good? College golfers get
deep dives on that. Well, I'm not saying that. Hey,
you know, man, all right, you know a fine many coaches,
LaVar that end up getting in a brawl at the
Tequila Cowboy, Tequila Cowboy, I mean I Blue Oyster to
(34:29):
Tequila Cowboy, you know, any of those um names. I'm
just gonna maybe go to a different place. Yeah, Blue Oyster,
you know. But but Bert Berto, on the other hand,
you know, it would have his chaps on and leather man,
(34:50):
it's uh, it's cowboy hat with a cowboy hat. And

l it's over under, and for that we turn it
(36:37):
over to our executive producer, Ricky Herrera because lead to
lap it's his birthday to eighties drunk somewhere, Ricky, what's
going on? Thanks? Uh? Last week, Jonas you went you
got four, Brady Quinn you got three, right, and LaVar
you got a one? Right? So whoa who won that week? Then?
(36:59):
What does that? I believe Jonas one that's the first
for the course for these Yeah, we're out of football, Yeah,
one pro and two. Joe's here Fox Sports Radio. Yeah,
thanks Ricky. Okay, guys that we know of Vladi Vladiguarro Jr.
(37:23):
Killed the Yankees this week. Um So for his next
two series against the A's in the Red Sox over
or under two and a half home runs for vlad Jr.
I'll take the under. That's a lot to ask earlier,
a lot to ask. What else we got Ricky okay. Uh,
(37:45):
USFL opening weekend, UM, Birmingham and New Jersey got a
nice over under here forty and a half, So I
think it's forty two and a half. I'm not mistake
forty two and a half. Um, I will take um
area then. No, I'm just saying because I I did
see the actual line, so it's uh, it's forty two
(38:07):
and a half. I will take Hyah, I'll take the over.
Ricky show these guys how it's stunned. Yeah, okay, guys.
USFL number one pick Shade Patterson is playing this weekend.
His passing yards for the first week over or under
a hundred and seventy yards, Okaygan Michigan Panthers under Jeff Fisher.
(38:34):
That hundred seventy yards seems like not a lot football. Uh,
we're talking us. Yeah, you know what, I'll take the over. Yeah,
maybe garbage time could help out there. I'll take the over. Okay, guys.
NBA playoffs this weekend. UM ejections through the weekend at
(38:58):
a half over or under, I'll take the under. I
will take the under as well, too. They're gonna let
things slide by the way. Pat Beverley got fined thirty
thousand Are you kidding dollars? Because he dropped a couple
of S bonds? Yeah? Can you believe that? Get out
(39:19):
of here all right? Thank you? What else we got, Ricky? Okay, guys?
Uh a. Ben Simmons appearance in the first two games
against the Celtics. Ben Simmons appearance first few games and
a half. I'll take the under. I don't think he's
coming back, at least for the opening round, and if
(39:41):
they advanced past that, we'll see. But I'll think he's
coming back. He's got a back issue. I'm gonna take
the under. What are you? What are you giving the
side I have for a lamar? Are you think he
doesn't have a back issue. I didn't give any side.
I just I just was asking the question how they
he will he ever come back? They haven't ruled him out. Okay,
(40:03):
I don't think he's coming back. I think he said,
you know what, give me the over. I think he is.
I'd love to just be a contrarian too. Hey, you know,
Ricky upon for the review, they're going to take the
over on that. You know now now that I'm going
to take the like they're going to go with that. There,
Let's just play it safe. That's how it works. Uh,
(40:24):
absolutely all right, Happy good Friday.
