Speaker 1 (00:09):
Welcome back to the neerdy news. You need to know
throughout the week on Iheartrady went bad cat services all

Because my name's Honey and I have tattoo questions.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
And you're officially listening to this tattooed episode of What cav.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
Crisis on Infinite Bod. Come, there's a mail in your forum.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
You know that there is a man on my forum,
y'all because your boy he got a tattoo. Well, he
was at Epic Universe this weekend.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
And it looks like Sugar Era.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
So it works better when it's when you look like
it's this way, but I can't you know, it's not insane.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
You told it like this, and then flip your camera
twice upside down so we can see what.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
I got vampire in my veins. So we got a
jam pack show for you today because we are talking
about Epic Universe, your boy got to finally go. We're
gonna talk about all the ins and outs of that
and all the all abouts as well. We're also gonna
talk about Jurassic World Rebirth, which is officially out now
in theaters as of this podcast recording, and the Back
three aka the Final three episodes of Ironheart. Did we
(01:13):
like it? And did it put the plot forward in them?
See you at all? At all?
Speaker 2 (01:18):
At all.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
We will see, we will see, we will see. But
you can see everything we're gonna talk about today and
so much more. BUFFI folowing us on all the social
media's at Infinite underscore pods on the Instagram, audiax gonna
give it to you or Kevin? Where can I watch
us record this beautiful podcast live? Maybe see my tattoo
for the first time? Wherever they want to.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
Tube dot com. Wow, ifinite underscore pods to see hoo
he's tattoo and all the other things he's done to
his body.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
Okay, well that's I think it was a personal attack.
I feel like we're You can.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Watch his live twice a week on twitch dot tv
sash if don and score pods and join the chat
what's your friends in the crisis group?
Speaker 1 (01:58):
Yes, we will always love it and it's the fun
things if you get to see what these inside jokes
are and things that we didn't tell Kevin about and
I forgot it, realize I didn't tell Kevin about strictly held.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
Your arms up the little camera camera view, which is interesting.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
Maybe strategically, I was waiting until the golden hour of
posting videos on TikTok to post the tattoo reveals that way,
my grandma did not see the video because she was
done with Instagram for the day.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
You gotta watch put the grandma's He didn't like to
writing your own body, it's weird.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
There could be a chance in probably about twenty minutes,
I get to call what the hell is that? What
did you do? What did you do? If you want
to see this video question, Uh, check it out. Why
I'm in this radio Because I purposely also put my
stuff at the end of that video so that way
she would have to watch the whole video to see
my tattoo.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
I know Grandma who I won't want to make her
mad at me.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
No, Grandma, that will mess you up. She'll mess you up.
But something that will also mess you up sometimes depending
on what we're talking about, is what you do. And
when we talked about the shows and movies we've been
while games, we've been playing, lives we've been living, this
would count as one of those type of stories and
(03:09):
just have a good time. And Kevin, I'll let you
have the floor first, because my what you're doing is
kind of new stories too.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
That's been working a lot. I really wanted to stream
my Jurassic World war view on Monday, but had to work.
I've been working late a few We have a new
hire end and we had to do some training and
then we had a kind of not an altercation, but
we're having a heated sports discussion in the studio. Meet
the new hire and another one of our producers, and
(03:40):
that's when we found out that our new guy was
born after nine eleven. We realized, wow, you have you can't.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
You can't.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
You can't just made name discussions anymore.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
You're too young or you're too old to their discussions.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
At least I was like, I don't recofpect anything you
have to say if you're born after two thousand and two,
I just can't.
Speaker 3 (03:58):
Sorry, it's kind of weird, uh, And it's totally okay
because you know, it's fourth July, so like with our
work radio work, you kind of get front loaded with
a lot of work before the holiday and get the
day off and that's the typical of any work too.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
But you know that's still okay because we're gonna cover
it here. Baby, one one podcast, one gold podcast for
the week.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
Yeah, and I just realized too, like how oh old
I'm getting because I realized ten years ago I was like,
I was an intern on a kne show ten years ago.
M hm hm, And that's just amazing to me. But
now I have interns whore I guess just finishing high
school when I was an intern. It's crazy.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
And I'm gonna tell you this now, Kevin, them interns,
they are going to test your patients. They will test
your patients.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
This guy I have high hopes for, but we've had
a few in the past. I'm just like, really, you
don't know how to do that. What do you go
to school four years for? Like, I don't understand it.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
Well, what did we all go to school for four
years for? Was it for an education or was it
that college lifestyle? Right, Kevin, you know what I'm talking about?
Broadcast lifestyle.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Broadcast We're doing to parties, We're hanging out in the studio,
everybody's hot, getting together. Yeah I knew that on the broadcast.
Everybody was old. It was different from me. Everybody was
sixty plus. But that's all I've been doing is working
and wishing i'd get back going stream with you guys.
I had a good time with you guys last week.
(05:22):
We talked about Fantastic four and we talked about the
first three episodes of iron Heart. I think at the
time nobody else is saw up, but I wouldn't want
to watch it, wanted to chat. But it's a great time.
And but happy to have my buddy back and see
what he got up to down in Florida.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
I'm a changed man, Kevin, a changed man.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
Got man on your on your arm?
Speaker 1 (05:41):
Well, the preference my thing. I had to go get
my car inspected today and then that was the whole thing.
And if you've seen Tires on Netflix, this is the
first time I've gone to a car inspection place since
seeing tires, And my god, did they capture that like
one for one that's like the same type of interactions.
It was wild.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
I worked out auto shopped for a while and yeah,
it's an interesting time.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
But it is weird driving like this because I'm so
used to this being on both sides of my arm.
That was like, what is that? What the hell's on
my arm right now? But uh, I guess I'll say
it cats out of the bag. This is a temporary tattoo,
but it is a legit looking one.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
Though then I'm not gonna chay to act first one
you came out came online? Is that real it?
Speaker 1 (06:27):
Here's the thing, so it's part of Epic Universe, which
that's part of the news. So I'm gonna do the
random stuff before we get to that pic universe talk. This. Uh,
they sell tattoos that like they legit, Like this is
what you would put for like if you were doing
the Halloween horror nights and you need to like make
up on your arm or something because this bad boy
is supposed to last six days on my arm. Wow, yeah,
(06:47):
what kind of I don't know. But it's real sticky
and it is not fun Like I like, if I
crossed my arms like this, it'll stick to the graphic
of this T shirt. For some reason.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
It's the smell. That's a weird question, right, I.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
Mean right now, it's smells like my soap. But that's cool.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
That's cool.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
That's cool. Yeah, But it's a test drive for any
tattoo in this region. And I haven't faced time my
grandparents yet. I FaceTime my mom the day with it,
and she's like that better wash off. I was like,
it will, don't worry. I hope it will. But my
grandparents can be even funnier because they they do not
like tattoos. But you said, Kevin in here either.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
Said your granddad is so cool. I feel like he's
from that generation of all the cool army guys that
had tattoos.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
Nope, he is. He's a generation of the cool army
guys that did not like tattoos. That was the generation
after the tattoos everywhere.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
My wife has six, I have zero.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
So average you guys have three together.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
Yeah, for me, it's not really interesting. I'm just afraid
of needles, so.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
Yeah, that too. That and also I'm just worried about
my my grandma's wrath more than anything. So I'm good.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
Well, you're at least three hours away from wrath, so
that's true.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
I get hide, but damn this phone. I can just
turn it off for so long.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
Yeah, we'll talk about the cure locations you can't get
in exactly, talk about Epic Universe in a second.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
But I will say your boy did watch the Minecraft
movie and Trap on the plane this weekend for Universal
and Minecraft movie? It is, It's okay. It was definitely
made for children, and so if the adults are complaining,
it's not made for you. So sorry.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
My daughter hates that movie so much.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
It's this generation's Lego movie. Lego movie was barely made
and was actually not made for us either, but we
just kind of latched it onto it.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
It was me for everybody because I d I'm sorry,
but like the parts of that movie with Will Fair
and his son or tear Jerky.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
It really is like said, I know, Mike said, it's
a movie. It is a movie. So that was that
was okay. I watched Trap too, which is the one
with Josh Hartnett. It's them Night Sheemalan where uh, he's
a serial killer in the like the concert and they're
trying to catch him. It's kind of the main premise.
That one was okay. I think it did have good
(09:16):
bones and a good path it set in the first
two thirds of the movie, but the back third it
just went off the rails and did make sense. It
was like, Okay, this could have been a lot better,
but it chose not to do that. Well.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
It sounds like every chill Mom movie since.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
What After signs pretty much. But while I watched two
movies on the plane. I watched Ironheart in the way
down though Orlando this past weekend is because your boy's
flight was delayed seven hours and it was not fun
because we were trapped on the plane then, yes, and
(09:51):
on the tarmac and the A C wasn't working and
it was a spicy plane ride. Let me tell you,
I mean, there's there's.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
An eighty percent change if you were on a plane
from Orlando, it's going to get delayed the park. You're
also leaving in a park and you are sweaty.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
I mean that's yeah. So originally were supposed to leave
yesterday one o'clock because there were storms in you know,
the d m V area. It delayed our flight because
it was grounding at Dulles. We flew into Dallas and
so I thought the problem was gonna be Orlando, that
oh yeah, storms there will stop us as usually that happens. Nope,
there's Dallas. So we stayed on the tarmac for like
(10:28):
two hours in the no AC plane for some reason,
and then we took off and luckily they gave us
free drinks and it was like, thank god more and
I working on complaining. By the way, so don't don't
worry about that we will get some mileagees out of that.
Then we land at d C in DC at Dallas
and we're stopped on the tarmac. Why well, it's lightning
(10:50):
and they can't have people out to guide the plane
to the little air tunnel thing. So we had to
wait for a car, I guess, to drag the plane
up to the little air tunnel thing. That took another hour.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
So that's a very fun flight home.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
It was not, and they made it go pick up
Teddy and then come back home. So it was it
was a time yesterday. But that's okay. We've recovered. Now
we've rested. Now this tattoo, this cat in the bag,
it's temporary, but it is. It's supposed to be Dracula. Sorry,
it's hard to show up because it's on my forum
like that. Everyone on the show got a monster tattoo.
(11:27):
Sauce got Frankenstein, Rose got Invisible Man, and intern John
got wolf Man. So kind of fun.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
Yeah, I feel like Missile Man means just didn't getting tattooed.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
It should should have been, but alas it was. It was.
It was like and guess what, I'm on a budget.
I bought three tattoos out of four also too.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
It kind of looks like your direcord kind of looks
like he out a week.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
You know, No, it looks like I Adam Sandler Dracula
from Hotel Transylvania.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
Is that universal? Yeah, the same studio as as millions writing.
Speaker 1 (12:04):
So I think, so.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
Right it.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
Is. I don't know believe. Oh no, it's Sony Sony.
There you go. Okay, makes sense. I was like, yeah,
they totally should like come out every Halloween, but they don't.
It's been fun. It will wash off and if you
really scrub at it, it will come out, but if not,
it'll stay there till July seventh. Did tattoo more and
(12:32):
did not. This was a show only thing because there's
only four characters, so it worked out perfectly. Got Moran say,
you got the real invisible Man. Yes, correct, But that's
sort of the random tidbits of news. But here's the
real news, Kevin. So let's get on into it.
Speaker 2 (12:49):
It's toughs.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
First things first, let's break down epic universe. Let me
use all those damn sound effects in a span of
ten sets.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
I was so mad I met the load bad last
episode I forgot. I was like, shoot, had. I had
a Preppara ready.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
It's like you've heard it enough, you know what it
sounds like. It lives. We're doing it live. We're doing
it live. So I went to Epic Universe this weekend.
We also went to Universal Orlando Resort to Studios and
Alison Adventure. You're not here for that because we talked
about that last year. It was cool. I did get
to go under the Ride of the Mummy to see
the King Kong Old Ride, so that was cool.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
Cool King Kong Rock. It's a bad rap. I like it.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
Don't ask no, not that one, the old one, not
the new one. I hate the I hate the new one.
And then got to go on the Lobby of Men
in Black, so it was really cool. The Little Bottom
Ground video to come. I had been busy.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
Yeah, I saw a Rose post a picture of her
at that desk. That was pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
It's like I could have waited til it was that
time whatever, that's a social credit good wait until I
had the video. It was nice, but overall great time
Epic Universe. We went on Sunday and we did have
express passes. And we'll preface this this park, you need
the express pass if you are going to go, so.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
That this is this is like prime. Everybody's see the
new thing type of.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
Thing, right, yes, right now we are in prime. Everyone's
coming to see the new type of thing. And then
probably if you go later this year will be prime. Well,
weather's cool down, let's go see the thing now.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
Yeah yeah, yeah, so that might be like one of
the year or two you think from probably calms down.
Speaker 1 (14:35):
Kevin says that now and alone and behold, he'll be
going in December. He doesn't realize it.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
We're trying to actually go for at least's birthday in September,
so we'll see what happens.
Speaker 1 (14:43):
That might could be a good time, depending on what
you do because the Halloween horinates. I'm not sure though,
we'll find out. Yeah, but we started off Epic Universe. Obviously,
you walk into Celestial Park, which is that main hub
think Magic Kingdom. It's that main entry and sway before
you go in the different Lands, which is really cool.
And we went to Island Or we went to Burke
(15:05):
which is the how to Turn your Dragon area. First,
our first ride Hiccups Wing Gliders, which was the one
with toothless on the ride, which is real fun.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
Yes, how was that.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
I thought it was really great. It's very kin to
the Hagrids Motorbike Adventure one where it is very it's smooth,
there is some like oh little half twist, and you
know it's fast at times, but overall everyone enjoyed it more.
I really liked it. Here's my buddy. I'm pretty much
every ride besides Velosa Coaster, and I think Burke is
(15:39):
very is for Epic Universe, is the is the Kitty
is like that is. I would say it's the most
family friendly area, whereas Nintendo World is very kid oriented,
but adults can have fun there too.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
I just want to go to Burke, but that's my
really whenever I go, that's where I'm gonna like live
at for a while.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
And I had met I just got metaglasses for my
brother's wedding, so I did get some POV footage or something,
So once I get everything together from Morris Phone this weekend,
we'll be posting that stuff up. But overall, Burke really dope.
We did try to do. We did the water ride
that one. If you know what to hit, you won't
get wet. So we'll just pay attention to that ride
(16:24):
and we did do Dragon Racer's Rally, which is the
one you can kind of barrel roll on and it's
fun because you know, Kevin, you and I are insiders,
so we kind of like to learn the tips and
tricks of navigating these parks. I taught everyone in our
little pod or group that was going into the ride next,
so like twenty people, hey, keep doing this left right, left, right,
(16:47):
left right, and then you'll turn. Nobody turned. I was like,
not my fault, gravity, Sorry, guys, I.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
Try to help another plan. Sorry, and it'll be interesting.
Speaker 1 (16:57):
I want to ask we're gonna have more on a
Monday to get her perspective of everything on the stuff.
I feel like I am such like a very nicer
person in theme parks because I'm like, this is my jam,
so I'm like, oh, it's okay. Where are you guys from?
Oh it's where we know that place too. Let's have
a good time.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
Yeah. I forget. One year we had Disney, we were
in a lot of hunted mansion and I don't know
what happened, but it's a little girl in front of
me just turn around punched me in the stomach. I
don't know why she punched me in the stomach, but
she did and her family. Her parents were horrified. I'm like,
it's we Disney. She got scared.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
Mansion Kevin went to the bathroom just cried.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
Not the funny thing was common Leah down from speaking down.
A girl pushed my daddy like down, I'm down.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
It's okay, it's okay. Your mother's here. She'll protect me exactly.
And we did have the mac and cheese cone worth
the hype I think is good. It looks good. Yeah,
I think you do. If you you can probably split
it and be good. I had the whole one because
Moore didn't want to try the meat one. I was like,
I want the meat one, damn it. But you can
(18:02):
probably split it and be good.
Speaker 2 (18:03):
Still, give me protein, give me protin.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
But after that we did do Startos Racers. I did
trick Mora onto riding the ride to a degree because
I downplayed the ride a lot. So we got Express.
The interesting thing with Epic Universe Express gets you through
part of the line and not all the line, which
is interesting because I feel like at some of the
other parts you kind of just get like maybe five
(18:29):
minutes before you actually board the ride. Startos Racers, you
get through the epic or the express line all of
a sudden, ooh, there's some turns before we get to
the actual ride.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
So it's more of an express que than an.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
Express express get to the locker.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
Yeah, yeah, like with Disney, like you get expressed, you
get right to the last part of the show. If
you get on a ride. Basically, it's more like this
is a fast queue.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
Yeah, basically, But wrote it Startos Racer is really cool.
It is akin to Velosa Coaster. It does have a
cool moment where you're racing against another car or another
the roller coaster, I guess. And they have a spin
thing where you kind of spin around each other, which
is really cool because you're like, oh, magic, we're doing.
(19:13):
It's flying.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
That looks really cool. Actually, I was that's the one thing.
I'm like, because they used to have a Dueling Dragons.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
Yeah, it was very like they could put Dueling Dragons
as the name to this and it worked.
Speaker 2 (19:25):
Yeah, exactly. So I kind of missed. I really missed
that ride. I'm happy kind it's kind of back. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
And then we did the Constellation Carousel. This is hilarious.
It's the it's the carousel ride, so it's like, oh, okay,
not really paid. You need to do it if you
are in a couple. If you are a couple, so
like Kevin, you and your wife Alicia need to ride
one horse together like more and I did because you
both sit like she sits front and you sit behind her.
(19:53):
And it's like, oh no, that's supposed to be a child.
But they let two adults on the same on the
same hoarse. That's funny.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
That round looks interesting because it seems out of place
for the rest of the park.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
You know, it's just just a classic care of self ride,
you know, compared to everything else really, but I.
Speaker 2 (20:08):
Mean the whole area, like Celestial Park is like we're
doing all this eye piece off. Here's here's space.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
Yeah, I think it is okay in too, like this
is the idea they had initially, and then you're like,
what's actually paying off. It's the IP stuff and it's
still okay.
Speaker 2 (20:24):
I agree with that.
Speaker 1 (20:25):
We did do Okay, we did those rides. We went
to Harry Potter France. Essentially, we did get the butter
beer crepe, which is very decadent. So split that with
someone because it might make you not like butter beer.
If you eat all of it.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
If you're a Harry Potter fan with a Costco membership,
they have butterbeer, popcorn, a Costco.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
Kevin Our Popcorn concert over here, you see, just throw
it out there. But we ate at that little side restaurant,
which is fun. I will say this Harry Potter Land
might be my least favorite out of the three, just
because it is very here France with some magic flare
into it to a degree because the land is set
(21:05):
in Fantastic Beast time, but the ride is set after
the movies, so it's that's a whole whole thing. We
didn't do any of the shows just because you know,
your boys ride focus, so I want to ride all
the rides instead. Harry Potter was our last ride of
the day, and because the entire day it had two
hour waits, and I in my head theme park mindset
(21:28):
like that that wait time is going to go down
late at night. If we get in line right before
park closes were good. We got in line eight thirty,
got through the ride by nine o'clock. It's thirty minutes
instead of two hours.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
Thing parked dead.
Speaker 1 (21:42):
I will say the line for that right, And my
personal opinion is better than the ride. Oh wow, really yeah,
I think the line is very well themed and like it.
You are in the Ministry of Magic. The Flu network
is cool unless it's super busy and they're pushing you
through that damn flu flu fireplace thing. Yeah cool, shut out,
yeah go, I don't care, all right, Everyone's people have
(22:03):
seen the photos and videos. You don't need it. You
just show someone else at TikTok. But the ride is
very set like Tower of Terror where you get in
and you have the seatbelt on and it's very like
I think Tower Terror. It looks like that ride, but
it is more Hogwarts that Hogwarts ride more than you know,
drop drop, drop drop. These are my opinions too on
(22:24):
the ride, so you know, you might like different rides.
That's totally okay too. So we did that. Then it
downpoured halfway during the day, but more and I brought
our pontos from last year. So it's perfect for us
because we went to Dark Universe, and let me tell you,
that is the best time to go because it was foggy,
it was raining, and it felt like you were actually
in this environment instead of like bright at sun.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
Somebody's watching us a very uncomfortable.
Speaker 1 (22:51):
It was really cool. We did get this like garlic
bread steak, which so it was like a garlic precket.
It was like a steak you would attack a vampire with,
which is great. I did get a smoky alcohol drink
where they put the smoke in it, so that that
was a little cool reveal. The Wherewolf ride is pretty dope.
That might have been Morris one of her favorite rides
(23:14):
at Epic Universe because it was not a big roller coaster,
but it was a fun roller coaster. We spin around
and it's cool because you load the ride front and
back of the seat, so you're literally looking at someone
else and I'm like, hey, guys, like have you guys
written this? And then you spin around You're just seeing
everybody around you. I was like, hey, every time we
past somebody new it's funny.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
The first thing you always say to somebody you've seen
the park like that, hey, way.
Speaker 1 (23:38):
From pretty much? I mean that's where, Or you're looking
at the name tags, Oh you're of an employee that
lives there. And then the what was it called Monsters
Unleash the frankensign experiment. I thought it was really cool.
It's a better Hogwarts where it is not throw you
all about they make a joke about that. But if
(23:58):
you like the monsters, if you're in that, really dig
that ride. It was cool on that one.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
But then and that really really really really yeah.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
The Frankenstein or Frankenstein's monster that popped up in the
pre show was really dope because like he was in
the shadows and he didn't realize at the time, and
the spotlight came on and he merged out of the shadows.
Like that's really cool, Like that was a cool look.
Speaker 2 (24:24):
Hoping that that the Dark Universe kind of drives the Halloween.
Speaker 1 (24:27):
There, I would assume.
Speaker 2 (24:29):
So all the park that I've seen that I've been there,
but of all the park I've seen online, it looks
like the Dark universeuff is really really cool.
Speaker 1 (24:37):
Yeah, and it was a really fun time. That's why
I got the tattoos. And we saw someone getting the
full makeup put on them, which was really cool to
see because unfortunately they couldn't drink after you get the
makeup on because they can't ide you because you look
like a monster and the candy matched you to your IDs.
But it was a good vibe for us to take
advantage of the rain of just being in that area,
which is really dope.
Speaker 2 (24:58):
Yeah, like I said, being in and because it's humid,
wants the rain hits the ground, it just steams back
up and it's just like foggy and creepy. I feel
like that was special just for you guys.
Speaker 1 (25:08):
It was great. I will say I fit on all
the rides, Kevin, So, uh mind body type. Do you
see this or you've seen on Instagram? You can fit that.
You can fit the ride too, So don't.
Speaker 2 (25:18):
Worry about it because you boys struggling.
Speaker 1 (25:22):
It's okay. There are certain seats. They do have certain
seats that like ride that seat and you'll be golden.
So just pay attention or ask for it. They'll get
you covered. Then. Super Nintendo World might have been my
favorite world just because we were there. I bought the
Power Up Band. I wasn't sure if I was gonna
buy it. It was well worth it because your your
(25:42):
boy was like a child, just going let me get that,
let me get that. All I'm gonna get that. Oh,
here's a little game when we try to get let
me get this music game going.
Speaker 2 (25:50):
I kind of it's part of the kind of wish
they the whole game, and then fifty four World is next.
Then then it's gonna be Wee World, and it's gonna
be game keep working. Well, you keep going.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
I will say our VIP tour guide Mark he was
the homie and he got us like the VIP stuff
for the other parks. He did clue us in that.
Pokemon and Zelder very highly in the rumors of things.
So I'll take that as you will.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
I mean, Pokemon just does it.
Speaker 1 (26:15):
So Prince money. Pokemon's galore. But Super Nintendo World was
really cool. I loved it so much that that night
when we got back to the hotel, I bought Super
Mario three D All Stars, so I employed Super Mario
sixty four on my switch. I know I could get
the switch online to play it, but it felt right
(26:36):
just to buy the game and support Nintendo a little
bit more.
Speaker 2 (26:40):
And people want to white people go to parks because
the parks just marketing.
Speaker 1 (26:43):
Back to Synergy. Baby, you boy bought the game because
you get through, you emerge out of a warp pipe
and you're literally in Princess Peach's castle and you see
them damn portrait portals and you're like supermaro sixty four.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
Oh my god, wait, I can't talk with it. I mean,
I came home from Disney Crew just because I don't
do the cruise, But what did I go? Come on
by Disney Cruise models.
Speaker 1 (27:09):
But I thought the land was really cool. I think
getting you only need one power up band per family.
You don't need a lot of them. We did collect
all the keys or whatever, the go to the Secret
Bowser Junior area, which was fun, and it was raining
during that time, so a lot of the stuff was inside.
So I really avoided the rank as we were doing
all these games. So it worked out really cool.
Speaker 2 (27:30):
Now have two question attend the world for me? The
most important point because again Rod cedric Mine cart Madness
and Mario Kart.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
So here's the thing. Uh, Mine cart Madness was down
the entire day because of storms and your boy it's
it's getting clean, so I don't have it. But your
boy was in line to get the Donkey Kong floats
because I wanted to get a eric. He wanted a
cup and I was like, yeah, I'll get you a
cup as a sumer. I told you, okay, it's like
a barrel cup. We were in line and all of
(27:59):
a sudden the little sign on mine cart madness goes
from it was testing the little mind carts. It goes
from weather delay to brief delay, more runs in this
line that was for me. We waited twenty minutes. Nothing happened,
and by that time it was nine o'clock. So we
were like, hey, let's go righte Harry Potter. Instead we
did as soon as Harry Potter. We wrote Harry Potter,
(28:20):
we checked it was open, we walked over there. It
was a two hour weight and it was a legit
two hour weight because we walked in the actual line
and I was like, this is gonna take two hours,
and it was by that time it was nine thirty.
It's like I gotta go bed and work.
Speaker 2 (28:33):
So yeah, you forgot, Yes, don't a show. God bless.
I wouldn't.
Speaker 1 (28:37):
If I was on vacation, I would have waited, but
unfortunately I had worked the next day, so that was
the only ride I didn't get to ride. It looked great, though.
It was funny because I had the power up band,
I immediately knew all this stuff. I immediately knew where
some of the Donkey Kong hidden, like little touch points were.
So as soon as you get in that land. I'm
running to this touch point and people like, what are
you doing. I'm like, guys, trust me, they're secret things here.
(28:58):
I know about the Did you meet Ko? I did
not because it was raining all day so we didn't
get He was only out for like twenty minutes. So
Rose got to meet him, which was great for her
but not for me. And we saw Peach. Peach had
a long line, but Mario and Luigi never came out
when we were there either.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
I don't want to know if they actually played the
Donkey coin.
Speaker 1 (29:19):
They play the Donkey Kong Country theme on loop like
when we were waiting in line for that, like twenty minutes,
we heard it like four times. It was a bop.
I got home of the we got home to the
hotel and I was just humming it. So it's a
great song. But Yo Yoshi's Adventure it is very akin
(29:40):
to the people mover at Magic Kingdom. There's a little
bit of a game for you to do something. It's
very quick, like if it's working fully, it's maybe a
minute long. We did get Green Yoshi on as our
little car, so that was fun. I think Pink Yoshi
is the hard Pink and black Yoshi are the hardest
to get because there's only like two of them on
(30:00):
the track instead of the green and blue and red.
Speaker 2 (30:02):
One, the blue one one that flies right. I have
no idea.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
I do not know the Yoshi lore. Unfortunately, Kevin.
Speaker 2 (30:10):
Deep is all about it. One day, what will happen?
Speaker 1 (30:13):
Hillary kantes the Yoshi lore?
Speaker 2 (30:15):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (30:15):
And then I will say my favorite ride, even though
it's been in LA for a minute, the Mario Kart Ride.
I think that ride is kind of the whole package
for everybody. It's a family ride. Everyone can ride it.
The line is glorious, whether you're doing Express or the
normal line. There's Nintendo and Mario Easter eggs everywhere, and uh,
(30:36):
you get the little cool goggles, which is really cool.
And then you go down Bowser's little Castle. I posted
a story of like the Bowser theme. I was going
up the steps to the Bowser statue and it is
I say, what ride. It's probably closest to the ride.
Vehicle is set up like Ghostbusters, where it's a little
like tiered to a little two degree. We wrote it
(30:58):
with intern John and our friend Shane, and they had
knew nothing about it, and we all had a great time.
Those ar goggles really like make that ride like you're
playing the game, but you know you're you're steering. You're
gonna attach your power up band to it to get
some points on that as well. And I just it
was a fun time. It was like, this is what
a theme park ride should be. You know.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
I always thought that the pob be deals with that
ride don't do it.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
Justice, yeah, because you I watched it.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
I was like, that's it, But now I tell you
tell me it's really great.
Speaker 1 (31:30):
Right yeah, because and the main thing is these R
glasses they are here can probace straight an example. Actually
they are very akin to like the blaster or the
blast shield on like an X Wing helmet. You're you
put them down and you really got to look at
them around to see everything that's going on. And so
like if you're just doing a straight POV, no one's
really going to see anything in that. So I think
(31:51):
that's why it's a very in person right that is
worth the.
Speaker 2 (31:54):
Hype, the kind of like toy story just like a
little bit more that looks like I'm happy to hear that.
Speaker 1 (32:02):
Yeah, And I think it's four to a cart. So
if you got a family for or whatever. It's a
fun time because you're just shooting shells and just having
driving around. It's very chaotic ride, but it's a fun chaos. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (32:16):
Could go to like three or four different Mariocar levels.
Did they play the rainbow?
Speaker 1 (32:21):
They do at the very end. It's the last thing
you gotta really like because it is chaotic and everyone's
going ah or throw the shell. You might not hear it,
but if you listen for it, you'll hear it.
Speaker 2 (32:31):
Okay, cool because Nintendo and things man kind of like
John Williams is like, once you hear that thing and
puts you in that mood.
Speaker 1 (32:37):
Hell yeah. And then we had Pizza moon at for dinner,
which is in Celestial Park. It's a the pizza spot.
It was pretty it was really good. It's definitely it's
a fancy or pizza. So if I know, there was
like an ube pizza, but we got like a margarita
type pizza. We got this dessert, Kevin Brownie Eclipse. It's
a new Tella Brownie. It is an elevated adult fudge round,
(33:00):
a little Debbie fudge round. So if you love fudge
rounds back in the day, get that because it was
it was. It was really good.
Speaker 2 (33:06):
The one restaurant I ken't be hearing Pop worrying about
on TikTok and every way about Universus. It's like the
rest the restaurant in in Dark Dark Universe, really good
stak there.
Speaker 1 (33:16):
We did sit down at that restaurant. It's I figure
what it's called, the top mad Oh Doss Steakhouse. We
sat down when we were there because we were hiding
from the rain. We weren't really hungry, so we didn't eat.
But the people next to us that I talked to
again randomly really good. I don't expect theme park food
to be this good.
Speaker 2 (33:36):
That's been a rub in that. I mean know, when
it comes to experiences like rides and and I p
Disney and Universal War. When it comes to food, Universal
went close. So I'm happy to see that close to
the gain, but this way because I mean, I'm sorry,
I don't look forward to eating at the Universe. I'm like,
know what, I'll just get by some French fries.
Speaker 1 (33:53):
Yeah, And it is very comparison to like we we
did Epic first, and then we did the older parks after,
and we hate a lot of burgers and chicken Tends.
We did go to Mythos so that was great, Uh
like change it up. But those parks are very you know,
Burger's Tenders, whereas Epic Universe is like, here's variety, here's
flavor hidden in these. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (34:15):
I feel like university when men like you know, you
can go out of here and the eat right, because
a lot of out here in some stuff, but school. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (34:22):
Like I went to Margaritaville at the end of the
night with more. It was a good you know, out
of Margarito. Haven't been there a little bit. You know,
it is a little bit because I really we sat there.
I was like the last time where he was alive.
You know. Overall Epic Universe, I think it's well worth
(34:43):
the hype. Like I said, get the Express pass if
you can. It is a little pricey. Doesn't include Harry
Potter Donkey Kong. But if you played it right like
your boy did, wait till in the night, it's it's golden.
You can get in there.
Speaker 2 (34:56):
Oh well, I have one quick question not about at
the Universe, because did you have Lost Coaster again?
Speaker 1 (35:00):
Did ride Velast Coaster twice? Yes?
Speaker 2 (35:02):
It is kind often it isn't as smooth as Guardians.
Speaker 1 (35:06):
It is very smooth like Guardians and Hagrids. It just
is intense, so it's silly as smooth, but it is
just a lot of spirals and there is a moment
where you ride Velost the coaster, you go upside down
and you think you can touch the water that's underneath it.
Speaker 2 (35:20):
Because the newer ride in Hershey Park canemonium hm really
fastly intense, but it's just so smooth. I think maybe
the new thing wroll Coast.
Speaker 1 (35:29):
Now move smoove operators.
Speaker 2 (35:31):
Yeah, just smoothooth jet.
Speaker 1 (35:34):
And this is a cool thing. I made more than
I do. I wrote a rip Ride bracket twice because
that's closing. In August, I got a t shirt that
was like the Rip Ride Rocket Farewell Tour. So that
was cool. Oh, Kevin, you will love this, and our
tour guide loved when I said this. We got a
secret song. I picked Rainbow Connection and I was like,
(35:55):
you know what, I didn't get to say goodbye to
them up it's at Disney. I'm gonna say it now.
And on this ride that's closing, it was cathartic. It
was really like goodbye my childhood. And then there this
is a pro tip if you go to Islands of Adventure,
there is it's like a playground in the Jurassic Park
(36:18):
area that has tear down flyers. It's like you have
to have a kid to ride. There is a secret
cave system back there that More and I went into
and it got running water through it. It literally there's
this rope bridge. I didn't I don't think I posted it,
but I think I will. Where it's this big rope
bridge or whatever it is, like net bridge. I crossed it,
(36:42):
thinking all right, great. All of a sudden, this big
old splash of water came out under it as soon
as More was about to cross it. She didn't get wet,
and I was like, you better run because I don't
know what's gonna happen again.
Speaker 2 (36:54):
There's an opportunity. We'll talk about a movie later, but
this's opportunity. Make a legit Jurassic Park at one of
the parks, and I don't know why it don't do it well.
Speaker 1 (37:02):
They have a it's like a Disney has that book series.
It's like Kingdom Keepers or something is what it's called,
where it's like the things come alive at night. It's
like Ninth Museum essentially, but also too.
Speaker 2 (37:14):
I can't remember if it's Singapore or Tokyo, but they
built a Jurassic World.
Speaker 1 (37:20):
It looks amazing. Well, that that one in Singapore is scary.
I don't want to That's what I don't want to.
I don't want to go that one. The damn dominance
Rex is running after you like he's there, like like, hey,
how are you doing? I'm a dominant All right, I'm
gonna run the other way. But overall, great time. I
have a ton of footage. I gotta go through and
combine it with Morris. So you'll probably see a ton
of stuff at Andrew Hoodie or at YMS Radio, on
(37:42):
TikTok or Instagram most likely the near future.
Speaker 2 (37:46):
I love Think Park Talk.
Speaker 1 (37:48):
It's a great time this podcast should be. But Kevin,
let's flip on over because we are talking about Jurassic Park.
Speaker 2 (37:54):
Let's actually talk.
Speaker 1 (37:55):
About the movie that's out right now, has this podcast
recording that's inspired by the ride in the movie and
all that stuff. Jurassic World Rebirth. It's in theaters right now.
It's sitting out of fifty five percent on Rotten Tomatoes,
which makes hit the third highest rated movie on Rotten
tomatoes in the Jurassic Park franchise wildly enough, even though
(38:16):
fifty five doesn't see him a lot. Kevin, we saw
it about a week ago and now we can finally
share our thoughts. What did you think about it?
Speaker 2 (38:25):
This and many I've seen it had a popco media
and the popero media. I guess because it just came
out today. But this movie is insanely frustrating. In the
bones of this movie, somewhere is an epics Drastic Park movie.
But since it was literally started shooting last June and
(38:46):
it came out today, I think it was just rush
to production and that's why we got what we got.
If I won't give it on my roten spend media,
it's about a five to six out of ten. It's
not epic, is not as smart as the first Drastic
Park was. It's how dumb this one is when it
(39:07):
comes to the people inside of it.
Speaker 1 (39:08):
It makes me so upset.
Speaker 2 (39:10):
It doesn't surprise me that Gareth Edwards is director of
this movie, because this feels like Godzilla. I don't care
about the humans and Godzilla. I want to see Godzilla
fight monsters in this movie. You don't care about the
humans unless they're being changed by dinosaurs.
Speaker 1 (39:25):
And they're eating off screen again again, does let me
see me?
Speaker 2 (39:29):
Let me get swallowed and go down the throat. I
want to see it all. I want to see it all.
Oh yeah, but this this movie is what a we
all talk about it a summer popcorn movie is.
Speaker 1 (39:39):
This is just the intendencies of it to turn off
your brain. Movie.
Speaker 2 (39:42):
Like, I know what a lot of people are because
you saw F one. A lot of people are saying
that F one's plot isn't strong, but the experience is great.
Speaker 1 (39:51):
This plot is even weaker. Yeah one, F one's actually
really good. I would say cee F one in theaters
over this, just because especially if you're an forty X
or an IMAX, because who is a thorough ride? This
should be a throw ride. It's not.
Speaker 2 (40:08):
Honestly, I'll swell with you in a second. Honestly, it
is boring in between dinosaurs scenes. And one of the
dumbest things this movie does is that there's an opening
crawl in this movie to tell you what's happened since
Drastic World three opening crawl happens. People are bored of
dinosaurs and the damas are dying out and natically live
in the equator. Then the movie starts and they say
the exact thing the crawl just said. I'm like, you
(40:30):
just told me this. Why are you waiting the time?
If it's more exposition and it's.
Speaker 1 (40:34):
Not like actors. It's a news broadcast, which is very
typical of the Jurassic Park franchise.
Speaker 2 (40:42):
Another thing is, like, you know, they say that people
are getting bored with dinosaurs. I'm like, I'm sorry. I
got excited about seeing a fox outside my house.
Speaker 1 (40:50):
Do you think if I see us a black squirrel
outside in your yard, I'm like, oh, black squirrel.
Speaker 2 (40:56):
Oh my gosh. Those deer are fighting outside. That's amazing nature.
Speaker 1 (41:00):
And not alone.
Speaker 2 (41:00):
Did you see if you're in the middle of traffic
in New York you see a broad of saurs, I
get I go to work, Well, he's brought of sas day.
Speaker 1 (41:07):
I'm not well in New York. In New York, they're
like god, this damn.
Speaker 2 (41:13):
And the last thing I'll say about again about the
humans in this movie. When we were reviewing a trailer
to this movie, and I remember I saw the kids
and I got upset. Now when you go see this
movie and are getting the spoilers after.
Speaker 1 (41:27):
This Yeah, we can do mild spoilers because the movie
just came out today.
Speaker 2 (41:31):
Yeah. The reason the kid that is in this movie
is the dumbest reason in all of all the Dress
of Park movies. There is a family in this movie
that is sailing I think from Africa to the Bahamas
or Africa of South America, something like that. It doesn't
matter where they're going if you're out and I see
this as a father. If I'm a father, and I
(41:52):
know there's a one on one hundred chance if I'm
on the water in the Caribbean, i can run tho
the mansa saurus. I'm not getting in the water.
Speaker 1 (41:58):
Also, the the family in the movie we're following like
a cottina don't know what it's called in sailings term,
a convoy of other sailing boats. Yeah, and all of
a sudden went rogue. And then they're like, well, that's
why you want this happen. You went to rogue.
Speaker 2 (42:12):
It's just the stupidest reason for any family to be
involved in Jurassic Park. I don't even say it's worse
than Dressing Park three.
Speaker 1 (42:19):
Honestly, Yeah, I will say, I guess what we'll save
that for for Like the wrapping up thing.
Speaker 2 (42:27):
Any other thoughts before we switch to me. Also, the
just the main part of the the kind of was
a letdown. The drect is only in like in like
the last very part.
Speaker 1 (42:36):
Yeah, and it is very more akin to uh, like
a Michael Myers, whereas really he is in the shadow.
There she because there's you know, Jurassic Parking, their all
females is in the shadows. And I don't think we
ever see her full body, you know, And and the
whole movie it's just her arms and her head.
Speaker 2 (42:55):
I almost felt felt like the thirties King comedy. It
was moving very slow. Yeah. Oh and then finally the
reason why it's all happened stupid too. We'll get into that.
Speaker 1 (43:06):
Yes, I pretty much agree with Kevin. I do think,
to me, this movie is not needed, uh from the
get and I think, oddly enough, this movie should, like
keV said, lead in to lead in with it's a
tragic world movie, lead in with the dinosaurs. Hey, say
what you will about the Jurassic World movies, but Blue
(43:29):
she was our girl the whole damn time. She was
in all three movies. This it's the d Rex and
the directs is barely in the movie, and you're like,
how did the direct get made? And all this interesting stuff.
There is a lot of product placement in this movie
as well. Snickers, uh, I there's stock my go down
because of this movie. But I don't know, I don't know,
(43:52):
but they were in it. The family, like Kevin mentioned
one of the children, she's mainly there to promote candy brands.
That is perfectly cut for her to eat the candy.
Not beating that candy.
Speaker 2 (44:03):
You eating too much candy, all the candy.
Speaker 1 (44:05):
But oh my god, oh this cute little dinosaur loves candy.
Though there is a dinosaur in here. They very akin
to It's an unaqua opse, which I learned because the
theme park is theme has a lot of themes for
the new area. It's not a tre Sarah toops, very
cano baby Yoda. They really tried to push Yeah and yeplores.
I'll say the one sketch on Tonight Shows TikTok with
(44:28):
Jonathan Bailey and the aqua Ops was a whole lot
funnier than as in this movie.
Speaker 2 (44:34):
Yeah, she's definitely there too for a cast well almost
as a cash grab to get that, but she's definitely there.
Like there's a blatant cash grab kids, A little cute
dinosaur go by the plus me a target.
Speaker 1 (44:44):
Yeah, I will say out of ten dinosaurs, I would
probably give us a five five dinosaur, five aqua ops
out of den I think, like keV said, Scarjoe is there,
Damn what is it? Hershaw Lee is there? John? I
(45:05):
think this really is Jonathan Bailey's movie. I think Jonathan Bailey,
despite this movie not being good, I think he's on
the right path of you know, from Bridgerton to Wicked
to this, So I think great for him. He's been
killing a press, you know, Andy dug I said, IM
only going to see it to look at Jonathan Bailey.
It's the glasses, Jonathan Bailey's tiny glasses, which is a
TikTok trend. Expect those glasses to be everywhere in Fall.
Speaker 2 (45:30):
There's also another scene in here where it's just forced
backstory between mass and they're just like, I don't care.
Speaker 1 (45:37):
Yeah, the cannon fodder characters are the cannon fodder characters,
and you're like, all right, they're not making it out.
Speaker 2 (45:44):
Free lines in the movie just about three and all like,
hey look out, aha.
Speaker 1 (45:50):
I think I told Eric this was say what you
will about durstic world fallen kingdom. But at least I
felt sad in emotion for the dinosaurs when they're escaping
out the island and the Bronosaurus can't get on on
the boat and we're all crying and can we find
out you know, that's the bronosaurus they saw in the
(46:11):
first Drassic Park movie or whatever. Like even this movie
doesn't really have a lot of emotion. It is them
running and is them hiding. There is a mention of
a temple that you're like, what is that? And they
don't explain the temple. That's trying to be as non
spoilary as possible, and like I would want to learn
about that, not them doing a typical dinosaur thing. I
(46:33):
would say, watch this on streaming. You don't need to
see it in theaters. Save your money for Superman and
Fantastic for or go see f one instead.
Speaker 2 (46:41):
Well, seeing it as like a blatant callback to the
first one, and it's just like the first one had
had the chance, Like this is the first time you
ever gonna see dinosaurs on screen to scale. Look at that.
It's amazing and it's one kind of like we did
it too.
Speaker 1 (46:57):
No, you didn't at all, But I was Kevin. Out
of all the Jurassic Park movies, I wo assume one
is probably your favorite. I'm assuming yes, I.
Speaker 2 (47:09):
Mean literally, I'll probably say one, two, Jurassic World, and then,
depending on the day, the rest of them. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (47:16):
Yeah, this I think sure Rotten Tomatoes has it a
fifty five, But you know, World two or definitely better
than this. You could say Fallen Kingdom might be better
than this, at least the beginning part of that movie.
But in the Jurassic World is a franchise that keeps going.
Speaker 2 (47:34):
At least Fallen Keenum to me had action to keep
you invested in. There are parts of the movie that's
just boring because there's nothing happening. It's talking about dinosaurs
in the woods. We gotta get the air down, stag,
I get the ground down, the stork, I get the
flying dinosaur. How we get this dinosaur? Then the bad
guy is totally predictable. You'll know the bad guy within
the first ten of the movie.
Speaker 1 (47:51):
Yeah, but yeah, so above that, maybe skip this movie.
Speaker 2 (47:57):
I let's go see in forty X. I do think
the boats will be pretty cool. In forty X.
Speaker 1 (48:01):
You'll get real wet though you will get really wet
if the boat scene. That's okay. But Kevin, to go
from one franchise, you know that's got a lot of entries,
Let's go to a different franchise with a lot of entries.
It's time to add another entry into our MCU in
review because the final three episodes of Ironheart are out now.
(48:24):
Kevin did do his review last week, and yes, Andy drogern,
I do listen to the episodes Kevin solo, and let
me tell you something.
Speaker 2 (48:31):
Kevin did pretty good job, especially last week, because I
don't know if you saw, I was an immense pain.
Speaker 1 (48:37):
Last week he powered through. He powered through.
Speaker 2 (48:42):
I didn't watch it yet because I don't know I
sound weird. Could I couldn't opened my mouth wide because
it hurt, kind of sharking aek from.
Speaker 1 (48:50):
Good there, Good there, don't you worry? But uh, I
guess preface my thoughts on the first three episodes before
we talk about these back three. I watched them all
on the plane. I do think there was there's good
bones of this show, but it just I don't know
if it's it's the story is there. I just think
(49:11):
I don't know if that's how it's filmed or something
something when I miss in those first three episodes, it
is very funny. You can see with the Natalie story of, like, yeah,
that's the Tony Stark storyline if they really wanted to.
But they try to make it more personal obviously with
Ree re Of, like oh, she's the aiye that always
pops up and always gives her advice and all that stuff,
but you know it's her friend. Anthony Ramos I think
(49:34):
was good as the Hood. The Hood is a more
obscure comic villain, so it's cool that he gets to
do and all that stuff. I did like the little
crew posse all than Aaron Reich. I thought it was
these three episodes and we'll get to we'll just talk
about it now. I am actually would wouldn't mind him
doing another Han solo movie right now. Actually, so, I mean,
(49:55):
ain't nothing else right now? Well, he was He wasn't Oppenheimer,
but Kevin he was. He was one of the senators
or something.
Speaker 2 (50:04):
Oh yeah, he was. I forgot about that, You're right, I.
Speaker 1 (50:07):
Forgot that was. It was like the black and white
scenes the entire time. But Kevin back three episodes, we've
watched him what did you think of them? What do
you think about the finale? I guess too.
Speaker 2 (50:18):
I mean again, really good bones to this show. There's
some things I have issues with. I think there are
a lot of weird editing choices in this movie. The
way they kind of layered scenes out, Like episode five
ended weirdly. It was like and he was the hood.
I'm out.
Speaker 1 (50:33):
It's kind of weird.
Speaker 2 (50:34):
I want to end it. But all in all, the
story about Trauma over Lost is something I totally get
because of what's happened to me in my life. The
story of really trying to find her way base. Basically,
she had everything, she went to Wakanda and ruined it all,
and then they were like, can don't you keep it?
Dart from Scratch, went back to Scratch and then lost
(50:55):
the second two she built, and then she had started
for Scratch again. So seeing her being a character that
that never gives up basically, and I think it's really cool.
Her relationship with her with her parents or her mom
in the second three more than the first three, I
thought was really strong. And then also the hold on
I gotta find her name real quick, the character that's
(51:16):
her one of her the friends she met with.
Speaker 1 (51:18):
A Zelda I think it was her name Zelda.
Speaker 2 (51:20):
Yes. That was actually my favorite part of the show
because I did not see that coming because as soon
as she flipped over to like a mirror dimension allowed
doctor strained, I was like, oh, she because when it
first came out, was like, Oh, she's what she has.
Oh she's a sorcerer. That's interesting. I like that that
(51:41):
kind of I didn't see that coming, so I really
really enjoyed that. And then also the relationship again like
with her and her not the the original crew, because
they sucked. I don't like them at all. It actually
kind of reminded me of the the want to Be
Rebels from the first episode the first three episodes of the.
Speaker 1 (51:54):
Andor Zelma sorry is the character's name? Sorry about that?
Speaker 2 (51:57):
Yeah, like those those Rebels and Or in first three episodes.
I did not like them because they're I'm post on like.
I didn't like them because they sucked. I didn't like
them and all the stupid characters, and they were holding
up a handle and I had things to do, and
I thought taking about this cruise. I was happy they
were gone by the end episode. I'm not gonna gone.
I want to give them, the more they gone so
and then when when it just her dealing with her
(52:18):
stuff with her mom, with her I guess love interests,
I don't say, a boyfriend. And then with Velma and
Velma's mom and trying to figure out how how to
quantify magic with technology I thought was really cool things
that didn't like about this too much. I feel like,
and I don't know, I hate the critique actors because
(52:39):
I'm not an actor at all, but I feel like
Anthony Robods kind of phoned in.
Speaker 1 (52:44):
I do think so too. I know Anthony ralmost right
now in a lot of projects, he's kind of been
blamed for phoning it in.
Speaker 2 (52:52):
I he's quint a lot. He's always squinty.
Speaker 1 (52:57):
That's just like Kevin fob Cares. I don't like it.
He squints a lot. He's squinting at me.
Speaker 2 (53:03):
Open your eyes, Anthony, see open.
Speaker 1 (53:07):
It is funny. I was actually gonna say the opposite.
I think Dominique Thorne, I think I don't know if
I just compare it a lot to miss Marvel, but Domini,
I don't know if it's just the portrayal or whatever,
is not as charismatic as Kamal economists Marvel, and not
every Marvel character needs to be like that, but it
is just interesting that I was very more fascinated by
(53:27):
the surrounding characters. I thought more than than re Re
in this show.
Speaker 2 (53:32):
I like that too, because unlike the other I want
to say, the other team here, we have so far,
we have Miss Marvel. We've had Hawkeye, Yeah, Kate Bishop,
Kate Bishop, I'm forgetting somebody Wickan, they've had somebody else
kind of the watch out for them. She had Surey.
We don't know what sure he is now sure he
(53:52):
could very well kind of be in hiding with her
nephew because nobody knows that his nephew exists, so they're
just protecting him. So she can't just call shere to
hate Sure any help because we don't know where sure
He is. So I kind of like how they're showing her.
Like you said, she's not very likable in a hero
sense because she's still trying to find her way by herself.
Basically like even Tony had the guy in I can't
remember his name in the cave.
Speaker 1 (54:14):
Shoot Box back to Scraps.
Speaker 2 (54:17):
But he had he had a doctor in the cave
that helped him find.
Speaker 1 (54:20):
His purpose, and that is what it was.
Speaker 2 (54:23):
Yes, right, he had Jinsen. She had Ezekiel Stain, who
is fighting a lot of turmoro and who was about
as trauma field as she is. So she's not going
to be perfect. So I'm kind of happy and I'm
hoping that we keep going on this journey with her
in the future of them cu to see her become
iron Heart. But even they even call her iron Heart
in this movie. They call her Ironhead.
Speaker 1 (54:43):
Yeah, so we're not even there yet exactly.
Speaker 2 (54:45):
We're not even at Ironheart traditionally yet, kind of like
Captain Marble, she hasn't been called Captain Marble yet. It's
called what's her name, Kate, not cap Carol Carol, yeah,
Anti Carroll.
Speaker 1 (55:00):
Yeah. I do think the final fight kind of just
happened and it just ended. I did think it was
a cool little twisty thing of like, oh it was
optical illusion. But it is interesting, I don't I mean,
I've not read, obviously the iron Heart comics. I mostly
know iron Heart because of Marvel Snap, but of just
how we were very focused on science and then it
was very now magic based involved in I get it.
(55:22):
That's them with the hood and everything. It was cool
like Dormmu was a red herring, and you know, like
keV said, the Doctor Strange stuff, but I was like,
I kind of want the more armor stuff. You know.
Maybe that's what you say for this Armor Wars thing
if it ever happens. You know, like, I don't think
she would pop up in Armor Wars now because she
(55:43):
is more akin to the Doctor Strange side of things
more than the you know, Iron Man side of things.
Speaker 2 (55:49):
You're absolutely right. It was a good kind of her
suits powered by sorcery. Now, she's channelling energy from some
dimension we all know about because there are a manion dimensions.
When it comes to sorcerers. You're channel energy for some
dimension to power a suit, which is kind of like
how sorcerers actually used that power to open a dimension.
The death strength pulls out a whip and with it. Yeah,
(56:10):
that's how it works. So I don't know, you're right
because they kind of infused it, but not in a
satisfying way. It's more kind of like, Okay, I get
that elaborate please, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (56:22):
Now, let's talk about the big moment of this finale.
It's been you know, five years in the making, but
we finally got it. Sasha Baron Cohen is Memphisto, y'all.
Memphisto is finally real. He literally had the joke of
or you're expecting someone else or something that like no, sorry,
(56:42):
re rehad the joke of, like, oh, Mephisto, is that
supposed to mean something to me, which is mainly this
audience knows what Mephisto is, but our characters do not.
Speaker 2 (56:51):
I thought it was cool. Sasha Baron Cohen's performance was
really good. I really enjoyed it. I was hoping he
was just gonna show up. It's kind of like kind
of like anytime we see the devil in some kind
of media. He's not like horns in the in the
Spear and the Cape. He just I really swave dude
that can talk you on a.
Speaker 1 (57:06):
Lite well, and there is a blink and you miss it,
little easter egg. If you look at the spoon he's
spinning when he's like drinking his coffee or whatever. You
in the reflection, he's all red and got yellow yellow eyes.
So it's kind of like you got to pay attention,
you'll see it. But overall, you know, he changes his
accent to mess with people, and he's really British, but
he's using like an American accent to get people's trust.
(57:28):
And it is you know, you know, a deal with
the Devil is it's gonna go sideways and it always
and it will most likely for Reread it can.
Speaker 2 (57:36):
Unfortunately, if we did see it at the climax of
the show, her sitting down with Mephisto and the deal
she made brought her friend Natalie back. But as soon
as the series ends, we see that scarring. That be
something the hood. He'll come on her arms, so that'll
be something she'll have to battle going forward. I was
kind of sad to see that happen, But at the
same time, like I said before, we're seeing this journey
(57:58):
of Reread. If she is not a hero, she still
finding her way in the world in a very young way.
And like I said, she has no one doesn't have
Doctor Strange like Miss America had. She doesn't have I
mean even sider Ma had Tony Stark and Trida Band Homecoming.
She has nobody. Nobody's gonna help them.
Speaker 1 (58:13):
Yeah, and and yeah, it was very different though, like
we're very used to these Marvel shows of like oh,
give me a happy ending, you know, and here's an
Easter egg to make even happier. And this having a
post credits scene if oh no, the Hood's alive and
he's gonna go with Doctor Strange. Like this show is
is weird because like we predicted Armor Wars, but everything
is pointing towards Doctor Strange two most likely yeah or three? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (58:38):
Sorry, yeah, I mean that'd be interesting to see Doctor
Strange and his army of team Team not a team
of Logs and reason College. But I guess this female
Magic Warriors, Doctor Strange, Ironheart, Thelma, and Miss America.
Speaker 1 (58:54):
Yeah, that'd fun. There is rumor there there was supposed
to be a Strange Academy show obviously Disney. Plus I
remember that going forward, we have no idea what the
Marvel based shows are after Eyes of a Conda really,
which that at the end of the year we have
wonder Man Cracks, so I guess wonder Man might set
things up to it's wonder Man's Oh we have Vision
(59:15):
Quest that that's the other I guess the final big
thing down the pipeline really for the shows at least,
but it will be interesting. I don't feel like real
will pop up in Avengers dooms Day or shake her
oars because I feel like this story wouldn't have her
akin to let's go save the world, but also Devil's
(59:36):
taking put control of my body.
Speaker 2 (59:38):
You know, I still feel like the only way, not
even just but re re. I can't remember what's Kamala
kon on the on the chairs when the chairs last?
Speaker 1 (59:46):
Mind, I don't think so.
Speaker 2 (59:49):
I don't think was either. I still feel like the
way we get all these characters back is at the
end of Doomsday.
Speaker 1 (59:55):
They lose some kind of limbo and is the Campion's
young Avengers.
Speaker 2 (01:00:01):
Yeah, exactly, I feel like, I mean, I'm not saying
it's going to happen, but I just feel like that
that's what my simple narrative mind. That's only way I
can figure out how to bring those characters back fully,
because I don't think all those shows. The only one
to make it a season two is Miss Marvel. I
don't think Hawkeys and Talks for one, but I know
that's issues with a contract with them and Jeremy Renner.
Speaker 1 (01:00:20):
Well, I mean, hey, the rumor is Kenobi's getting a
second season, so anything's possible.
Speaker 2 (01:00:25):
So and even with this, honestly, this is one of
the most highest rated Rotten Tomatoes rated Disney Plus series
right now, because I believe it's that. Let's not checking.
It was like an end of eighty three or eighty
four and Rotten Tomatoes. I don't think they've hit that
high since since before Agatha Agatha was that high, but
I think.
Speaker 1 (01:00:42):
That was it. I mean, it will mean it will
be interesting, just like the legacy of this show, because
I personally feel like it came and went too Like
I feel like where it's already done, and hey, guess what,
we're moving on to Superman Fantastic four, you know, like
like the Funko pops, Like, well, obviously we get iron
(01:01:02):
Heart and the Hood, we'll get an is Eco stained
Funko pop and that is kind of a you can
tell the success or the focus Disney and Marvel have
put on a show is all right, here's all the
merch that's coming out on this show on the back burner.
Speaker 2 (01:01:16):
You know, and then also look looking at looking at
previous shows. I mean, we all love there Devil as well,
but nobody watched it, but that was already announced to
get a season two, so we were anticipating it, so
we don't know what. We won't know for a few
weeks if people watch this or not. I feel like
the watch count will be still pretty high, just because
it was like here's here's three and here's three morning.
Maybe that's part of the strategy. They're like, Okay, we
(01:01:38):
don't think this could carry people week to week, but
if we actually dump them off twice in two weeks,
that'll get the amount of views that we will want
to justify seasons.
Speaker 1 (01:01:48):
I do think releasing them though, didn't make me like
it was an hour and a half movie, hour and
a half movie, and it was like it was really
good of a palpital hour and a half each week,
which was nice.
Speaker 2 (01:02:00):
Which goes to my point. I really do think Marvel
should steer away from the show some specials.
Speaker 1 (01:02:09):
Well, you know, there still is special presentation and Marvel
Spotlight brands that existed that I don't think really exist anymore.
Speaker 2 (01:02:17):
So because like again, I've been screwing for Blue Marble
for a long time because Boom would be a TV show,
maybe not what an hour and fifteen minute special cover
probably probably could do a lot better than a little less.
Speaker 1 (01:02:31):
Well, Kevin, now we've talked about the show, it's time
to add it, because you know, we still have our
MCU in Review, which as of this month we'll get
two entries in it, which is wild because we don't
really have that too often anymore. Exactly every time you
see it, you gotta yell it like that. So right
now we have this marks in our list, the fifty
(01:02:53):
first entry into MCU Interview, yes, including the im Group,
shorts toward the Dark World, and everything in between. From
there our top ten which I'm not even gonna say
it because it's not going to crack the top ten unfortunately,
but ironheart, Kevin, where would you put it right now
(01:03:13):
on the MCU in Review rankings? Looking at it going forward?
I think right now maybe in the akin we start
with Secret Invasion and see where it is from there.
Speaker 2 (01:03:24):
Oh yes, total about Secret Evasion. Actually, I thought about
this after I watched it this morning, and I already
kind of have an idea where I will put it.
I would put it at thirty three, right behind it person.
Speaker 1 (01:03:33):
Thirty three, so she would put it above she hulk. Yeah, okay,
all right, So then so let's talk about where the
rankings are with that. So at twenty eight is Marvel's
twenty nine is Hawkeye, thirty is Moon Night, We're Wolf
by Night, ant Man. You have She Hulk, Attorney at Law,
Black Widow, Echo, ant Man and the Lost Quantum Mania,
Captain America, First Avenger, Captain Marvel, and then The Guardian's
(01:03:55):
Holiday Special. Yeah, I think that is worth talking about,
Like is it better than she? I think it's debatable.
Do you want a short, concise story like this kind
of was, or do you want having a fun time
in the mcut. They are kind of two opposite ends
of the MCO which is interesting.
Speaker 2 (01:04:11):
Se Hulk had a compelling narrative till the end and
it kind of broke the fourth wall and for I know,
for a lot of people, that kind of broke the show.
Speaker 1 (01:04:19):
For him, m hmm.
Speaker 2 (01:04:20):
I didn't mind it, but a lot of my friends
are like, I screwed at any I wanted to fight,
you know.
Speaker 1 (01:04:25):
I kind of had it similar right around, like you know,
Echo and she Hulk in my like personal rankings, I
would say, just kind of looking at everything, Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:04:38):
Why would I CO? Can we bump up the Holiday
Special a little bit?
Speaker 1 (01:04:41):
We cannot, Kevin. Unfortunately, we only do a bump up
once a big Avengers movie comes up, so you have
to wait until next year potentially, Fine, fine, Fine, Kev's like,
I want to watch it even harder this year, just
to prove to you that it needs to be higher
on the rankings.
Speaker 2 (01:04:56):
Put on every TV in my house.
Speaker 1 (01:04:57):
Damn it, it's gonna get all the views and it's
gonna be recommended.
Speaker 2 (01:05:00):
Do you.
Speaker 1 (01:05:01):
I'll say Ironheart for as of right now, I think, yeah,
she belongs in that spot. I do think, you know,
it is a little more impactful than Echo. Echo obviously
had it. Echo is a whole different thing conversation too,
because that is a spotlight show and Echo didn't pop
up and Daredevil like we thought, so she kind of
did her own thing. She Holk. We're still waiting on
(01:05:23):
to see what happens with she Holk going forward. But
I do think re re kind of well, actually, what happened?
Where'd you go? Well? Hold on? Got an update? The
ranking did not update? No, No, there we go. I
think Ironheart was very true to what it was going
to be and will be interesting going forward with if
(01:05:45):
it's still being introduced with really not being you know,
on the hero's path but kind of being more on
the villain's path. Right now. It's just an interesting different
take on the down the MCU, especially with the Disney
Plus shows.
Speaker 2 (01:05:58):
Yeah, and right now I'm looking to run to it
right now. Actually, it's the seventh seventh I just rated
MCU related series right behind, right behind Loki, which is
only have.
Speaker 1 (01:06:08):
An eighty Lok you should be higher, y'all. I don't
know why Loki that.
Speaker 2 (01:06:16):
I'm a Cloak and Dagger Abus's family I forgot.
Speaker 1 (01:06:19):
I never watched it. I think I watched the first
episode of that and then just never never watched the
rest of it.
Speaker 2 (01:06:24):
It was okay, it was kind of kind of weird.
It's kind of like it was just kind of another
Age Age of Shield type show like this is could
be better if you just ignored all that stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:06:35):
But that's what we thought of Marvel's Iron Heart series. Yes,
you know, we didn't have as detailed as a review
as we normally do. I know your boy was out,
but I think, you know, overall a good time. I
do think it is worth the watch. And while you
know it is not perfect an execution like we Akin
to Loki season two or a WandaVision, I do think
it is one of the better outings for Marvel with
(01:06:58):
the shows in recent seasons and next up Eyes of
a Conda. We will see what happens with that in
the end of August for the shows, and we have
Fantastic Four at the end of this month.
Speaker 2 (01:07:09):
I think this might be the last Chpech era.
Speaker 1 (01:07:11):
Of release, which wonder man, that's this is your too,
We'll see what happens with that.
Speaker 2 (01:07:17):
This this feels like Kevin said, Okay, I fixed it.
It's not great.
Speaker 1 (01:07:20):
I fix it, but you know it's it is what
it is, and you'll you'll figure it out later. But
let us know what you thought.
Speaker 2 (01:07:27):
Yes, keV, now say I'm just hoping that eventually too
because of this, we get what's going on, works something,
what's going on because I kind of want to see.
Speaker 1 (01:07:35):
That, cancel it or just do something with it. But
let let us know your thoughts. At inf and Underscore
pods on the Instagram or give it to you or
you can join us when we're doing these podcasts live
Twitch dot tv or YouTube dot com, slash inf and

Speaker 2 (01:07:54):

Speaker 1 (01:07:56):
I'm a tat man. Skip it, dude, but as always,
my name is Hoodie Ken. We will be back on
Monday with Mora's review of Epic Universe. And you've officially
listened to this tatted episode What.
Speaker 2 (01:08:14):
keV Crisis on Infinite but can sur
