Speaker 1 (00:00):
And a Happy Monday friend. Welcome to the Thought Shower
Internsjohn is my name, and my goodness, the pre order
from my album The album is available right now. I'm
beyond excited. So we recorded one of the the first
weekend of the comedy shows this year, recorded them with
a thought of putting out an album. And it's really
(00:22):
important and the reason we're I'm doing it this time
of year. So the comedy tour itself benefits the Fisher
House Foundation. If you don't know, they built houses on
various military basis, Like there's one on Walter Reed, there's
a couple on Tampa. The idea is is somebody from
the military needs medical treatment or surgery, Fisher House will
fly their family out, put them up in one of
(00:43):
the houses on base. Make sure there's food, make sure
there's community, make sure they're taken care of. And why
it's so important this time of year is Fisher House
does a great job of making sure Santa Claus knows
where to go. Santa busy guy obviously, So if there's
some good boys and girls need to be by their
you know, military parents while they go through procedure, Fisher
(01:07):
House make sure Santa Claus knows exactly where to go.
And of course you know it's expensive, Yeah, buy reindeer food,
you know, gay buy cookies, so the Big guy as well.
And so that's why the album is going to benefit
the Fisher House Foundation. It's kind of perfect time of year.
So the album itself comes out in November first. However,
the pre sale is going on right now. Internsoncomedy dot Comedy.
(01:30):
Go there. You'll see a button that says iTunes under by.
You click that, it brings you the iTunes. The album
itself is six bucks, so Internsgoncomedy dot com. Then click
the buy button and you can get the album on
iTunes pre order it. And the reason why pre order
is huge. That determines if the album will chart, meaning
(01:51):
like will it be hopefully number one on iTunes in
the world, which would be crazy but would be amazing
because that gives more eyes in the Fisherhouse into more
money for them. So if you get a chance to
buy the album, I would greatly appreciate it to a
pre order it if you will, because that's like the
most important thing from what I'm told is we need
(02:11):
to get some good pre order numbers. So if you
could buy it, if you could have your friends buy it,
your family, buy it whomever. Internshioncomedy dot Com you click
the buy button right there, you can pre order the album.
It has all of these lists last tour, plus there's
some very special bonus tracks on there, as well as
couting my father the Professor, which I never told him
(02:36):
I was going to use his material on the album.
I think I own it though, because I recorded it,
so I think that I'm probably in the clear. Plus,
if my own dad tried to assue me for using
his intellectual property for a charity album, that'd be more
publicity than I could deal with. I mean, that might
be all the publicity I really need, you know what
(02:57):
I mean? Like that right there is kind of a
a win win if you will. So anyway, the pre
order is available right now. It would mean a lot
to me if you have a chance. Again, it's six bucks,
so the lowest we can go for that lowest the
option there is Internshioncomedy dot Com. You click on the
buy button at it right there. If you do, you
(03:17):
make sure tag me on Instagram to you at internshion
Radio so I can share that. And I'm excited. It's
nerve wracking. It is. It's a different kind nerves, Like
announcing dates for a show is very nerve racking because
you can see, like, okay, it's like it's one thing
(03:37):
to put out stuff for free, and like people will
watch your stuff it's free. Right when you ask people
to give money, it's a very nerve wracking thing. And
because I know, listen, money's tight right now for everybody,
I'm fully aware of that, and so I'm very gracious
and very thankful. And again, the goal hopefully is to
(03:58):
have a number one album in the world, which is
crazy we're even at that point. A bigger goal obviously
has to raise money for the Fish Rouse and to
help out an amazing cause. So it's a big week
for me too, so aside from the album. But announced
it officially today so everybody else will know about it.
The restaurant I'm involved with, we're doing a friends and
(04:19):
family dry run this week as well, So that has
been in the running now for like ten months. We've
been working on this thing and it looks so good
on the inside, it looks so cool, and now it's
just a matter of bringing people in a bit of
a stress test, if you will, to see how we do.
And it'swer me fun too to have you know, my
(04:41):
friends who have heard me talk about the restaurant in
the bar to have them actually see it in person,
be like, this is what we've been working on for
so long. So I'm very excited for that as well.
Just a lot of stuff going on this week Man
weekend was good. Friday, I saw the Joker move. I
thought it was trash. I'm gonna be honest with you.
(05:04):
I liked the first one a lot for the first
one was really good. The second one I saw my
buddy Shane, and the way I described it, it's like
they were given the option of, hey, we could you know,
write a new script, right I write a whole new movie,
or what we could do instead is just fill it
in with musical numbers and that will be instead of
(05:27):
doing actual like new content. That's kind of like the
vibe that I got from it. It just kind of
felt like, I don't know if they they try to
make a musical and didn't need to be musical. And
then I had to like search things afterwards to see
how it was not that great. Then on Saturday, went
to the Caps game. Fun to get my buddy Shane
kind of like my last like chill weekend I think
(05:51):
for a while because with the bar opening, that's going
to take most of my weekends and hockey starting too.
So been trying to like do better about like centering,
you know, being present in relaxing. So we'll we'll see
how that goes. I want to get to this today too,
for your Monday. The flags of emotional cheating you should
not ignore. This is tough, tough, tough, tough start off
(06:15):
the bat with the being secretive about their phone or
social media. Yeah, if your partner becomes protective over their phone,
it's a red flag. If they take it everywhere or
even in places where they used to leave behind, or
they flip it over when they're around you. I would say,
unless it's like your birthday is coming up or your
anniversary is coming up, that's a bad sign. That's a
(06:37):
bad sign. This and means when the biggest flags out
if they keep talking about this one person. They say,
if your partner can't stop bringing up a specific person,
whether it's a coworker, friend, or somebody they met, that's
no mistake. They might talk about how funny or insightful
this person is it can start to feel like you're
hearing about them more than you should. Constantly mentioning someone
(06:59):
else can be you sign as a third person in
your relationship. I almost think that people do this almost
to like desensitize you to that person, to make it
seem like, oh, nothing is up, if that makes sense.
They do it so that, you know, if it's their
coworker Ben, it's like, oh, they're talking about Ben all
(07:20):
the time. It's like, Okay, nothing worry about just co
worker Ben. But that's like almost so you don't think
there's something going on, if that makes sense. If they
start comparing you as somebody else and they begin to
compare you to the other person saying things like they
really understand me or they're so easy to talk to you,
that's a huge red flag. Yeah, which ties into the
(07:42):
next thing if they confide in somebody else instead of you.
At that point, to me, yeah, I know, it's emotional cheating,
But that to me is like if I was dating
somebody I found out she was telling things to like
a guy for in a work instead of me, that
would probably be like what are we even doing? You
know what I mean? And on the same token, if
I was confiding in a female friend over a girlfriend,
(08:06):
that to me is crossing the line, no doubt, right,
because why would I your Your partners supposed to be
the person you tell everything to, so we telling somebody
else instead? Why are you together? Dude? You know? You
know what I mean? They downplay or defend their relationship.
So when you bring up your concerns about their closeness
(08:26):
with this other person, do they get defensive and brush
it off? They say, emotional cheaters off and downplay the
connection because they know you'd be uncomfortable with it. That
is yeah, I mean, I do think that's an obvious thing.
If it's like, if you are in a friendship that
you know your person would not be a fan of,
(08:47):
you probably shouldn't be in it, you know what I mean,
Especially if you're like long term in the relationship. Is
it worth throwing it all away for just a quote
unquote friend. Golly? I don't think so. I don't know
why I said golly, but you know, if they're trying
to impress this person, that's a sign when your partner
(09:08):
starts to an other way to impress somebody, dressing nicer,
grimming more than usual, or seeming overly concerned about their opinion,
it's worth paying attention to. Yes, I do think that's
a kind of like a subtly obvious sign if that's
an oxing war on. So, if you're with somebody for
a long time, right, eventually you don't necessarily dress up
for each other. You just kind of like you're comfortable
(09:29):
to each other. But if all of a sudden, like
we're going somewhere and that person's gonna be there, and
they start dressing up or like shaving or combing their hair,
and that's a sign because like, why would they care
about what that person thinks? It's dirty, it's issy, I
don't like it. I'll last one. If they're spending more
(09:50):
time with this person, yeah, I mean you combine all
those And part of it too, is, like I think,
to the person doing it, if you don't have that
kind of boundaries to protect your relationship, why in a relationship,
fam Yeah, I mean yeah, build walls. Listen. I hope
you have a great Monday. Again. If you get a chance,
(10:10):
internshon comedy dot Com, click the bye button. The album
in turns on the album benefit. The Fisheriles cannot wait
for you to hear it
