(00:00):
You're listening to Later with Moe Kellyon Demand from KFI AM six forty.
Next contestant Daniel Strom. The wordis business. Could you repeat the word
please business? Could I have theorigin of the word please. It comes
(00:28):
from the Latin phrase busnia. CouldI have the definition please business one's work
or employment. Could you use itin a sentence? Please business? I'm
in the insurance business. Could youspell the word please? No, it's
(00:54):
late with bo Kelly k if IAM six forty Live Everywhere on the iHeart
Radio app. I was never goodat spelling bees, I admit it.
I am always amazed at children whoexcel in spelling bees. That was just
something. If I can see theword on paper, I can realize,
(01:15):
Okay, it looks incorrect. Ican figure it out. But if you
ask me to verbally spell words,I was never really talented at doing that.
I never did well in spelling bees. And even though generally I'm a
pretty good speller, but the pressureof the moment and all the Latin roots
and different words that to learn fromdifferent languages to understand the words that they're
(01:36):
asking you to spell, never goodat it. So I always like to
take a point to take a momentand point out kids, young people who
are doing well. Whether they winultimately or not, it's neither here nor
there. I'd like to shine somelight on young people in Los Angeles and
Orange County. Some contestants who areunfortunately eliminated today, but they did didn't
(02:00):
make it to the Script's National SpellingB quarter finals as of yesterday, and
they were eliminated to today. OliverHackett Halkitt, a twelve year old sixth
grader who attends their Murman School inBrentwood, Brentwood. I'm having trouble just
pronouncing stuff today. Brentwood misspelled dissonantdescendant, an adjective meaning forming an end
(02:24):
is correctly spelled d e s In e n t. And Kitlin when
Kaitlin, Yeah, Kaitlin Kitlin when, a seventh grader at Helen Stacy Middle
School in Huntington Beach, unfortunately waseliminated because she misspelled Ritsu or Ritsu a
Buddhist school founded in Japan in sevenpoint fifty four. Who the hell knows
(02:49):
that stuff? But she spelled itri t zu and it should have been
spelled Ri t s U. Iwouldn't even be able to compete against these
sixth graders at all, not atall. I even like in a spelling
quiz that I took in like secondgrade, that was difficult. I got
nothing but props for these kids, and I'm quite sure they will go on
(03:12):
and grow up to do great things. But there was one word and I
noticed in this story. And I'mgoing to bring Mark Ronner in on this
because I think he and I dosee a lot of the world the same
way. We have the same senseof humor and cynicism in many ways.
In the third round, this isOliver Hawkitt, twelve years old, sixth
rader. I know you can't guesswhat word they asked him to spell,
(03:36):
but it doesn't seem like a wordthat would be in a spelling bee.
In the third round, Oliver wasasked to spell doxy cycling. Okay,
what kid isn't on that. I'mjust saying, it's a strange word to
(03:57):
ask a child to spell. I'mjust looking it up right now. Uh
yeah, kids should know about thatstuff. It's never too early to learn,
right, all right, It's like, use doxy cycling in a sentence.
Well, after going to the doctorfor some unnamed std John was prescribed
doxy cycling. Don't ask me howI know that, Mark I doxed somebody
(04:23):
while cycling. It just seemed likethat word just came out of nowhere for
no apparent reason. Yeah, butthey do that. They're a little bit
like Jeopardy. I you know,I thought I was kind of a language
nerd, but then they throw onein there that the real gunners who just
like sit there with the dictionary fordays on end. They can get them,
but it'll throw a normal human beinga serious curve, Like is that
(04:45):
even an earth word from English? No? Well, not a lot of
the words are not English based.I don't know if that's always been the
case, but they have words fromwith derivations and all sorts of languages.
I'll give you a perfect example.Caitlin in the third round was given the
word derber and I think that's ordrbar d r bar like him derber.
(05:08):
Well, it's a court held byan Indian prince, or a formal reception
held by an Indian prince or anAfrican ruler. So obviously that word is
not based in the Romantic languages,or not English at least. Oh yeah,
I would have totally pooped the beton that one. Yeah, I
mean, and I'm quite sure it'smore difficult now than when I was in
school. They've had to make iteven more difficult. And I think they're
(05:30):
down to twenty eight remaining spellers ifI'm not mistaken, And the spelling Bee
is limited to students in eighth gradeand below, So Oliver and Caitlin are
so darned smart they'll be able toparticipate again because they're still not in eighth
grade, so they'll have another biteat the apple, you know, just
(05:55):
in case you didn't know, Nospeller from Los Angeles or Orange Counties has
ever won the National Script Spelling Bee. I would imagine that these things would
get easier instead of harder, becausekids don't have to memorize anything anymore because
they have the Star Trek computer withthem in their phone at all times.
(06:15):
Well, you would have to wonderwho is cheating and how are they cheating,
because cheaty goes on in every aspectof these types of competitions, not
spelling, I'm just saying, justcompetition generally. I remember the first time
I heard that someone was cheating atthe soapbox races. Remember that they have
the Soapbox races Derby, and theDerby cars would be coming downhill and someone
(06:39):
had installed magnets on the front ofthe car so when the gate flipped down,
it would pull the car forward andhave a slight advantage at the beginning.
What's wrong with people? You know? But hats off to anyone who
enters a spelling bee who does wellin a spelling bee. I don't know
how well to Wall didn't spelling bees. He probably did better than me.
(07:01):
I'm being serious. That was justsomething I never was really accomplished at and
I wanted to. It's but thepressure, my goodness. It's one thing
to try to spell a word, but most of these words I haven't even
recognized. In the fifty four yearsof my life. I've never seen that
word before. Durbarbar. I thinkthere's some courage, and it's one of
(07:23):
those things where you think it's easywhen you're sitting there on your couch,
but there's no way you could doit in real life. It's this is
more difficult than Jeopardy because I've hadfriends who were drilling for the bee and
the amount of information they have toto digest. It's amazing. That's why
that movie bad words, it's soprevalent. Well, yes, it's so
(07:44):
true. Well if you ever sawthe movie Aquila and the Bee, that
was also a good spelling bee moviestarred Lawrence Fishburne. And what's her name?
Uh? The one? Yeah, girl, the girl's popular and I've
interviewed her. She's no, No, she's in Nope. Yeah, I
know that she's in Nope. Key. She had a whole thing with Usher
(08:05):
a little while ago. Yeah,I know you know her, you've seen
her. I know I'm googling.Made a big impression on you. Yes,
Palmer, Yeah, yeah, that'show she actually got her start.
Fush is a spelling me champ.Who why, doggy dog? I mean
(08:31):
you are? Yes? Why didyou not like a national champion? We
had a whole conversation about the spellingBee and you didn't. Yes, he
was conveniently quiet over there. Youdidn't add that to the conversation. Oh,
by the way, mo I ama spelling bee champion. Yeah,
because that's what it would sound likethe time point. This is the time
(08:52):
you play that card right now, this is the ace you play it,
play the ace. Well, no, no, he's a shamed that he
didn't become famous like a rock starand get a big heroin habit and everything.
He's got a normal working job now, and that's not the trajectory for
a spelling d champion. Okay,I gotta ask a question first, a
few questions before we go to break. How old were you ten? Did
(09:15):
you get a lot of play fromthe girls afterward? Absolutely not really,
no thought you'd be like a rockstar. No. Then it was like
uncool to know stuff, so youwere looked at as like a geek or
a nerd or now it's cool.Yeah, it was segregated back then.
Yeah, yeah, it was.It was. It was a it was
(09:37):
a difficult time for nerds. Itwas uncool to know stuff. Yes,
no, honestly, yeah, yeah, agreed. Yes, they made a
whole movie based off of the problemwith knowing stuff, Revenge of the Nerds.
Right, you'd never heard of youeven? Yeah, even twenty one
Jump Street the movie when they redidit, they come back and uh,
(09:58):
you know, Channing Tatum is likethe cool guy, but then when they
came back, you know, asundercover students, he was the uncol guy
because he was trying to be cool. No, one got mad at you
Mark for messing up the bell curve. Just bring on the meteor, Just
bring it on? Can you sayingjust quitting in life on Earth? Yeah?
Yeah, back then you didn't catchthat. You didn't know that term.
No. Oh, well, sinceyou a little bit younger than us,
(10:20):
are our nerds still despised, hatedand bullied? I No, I
don't think so. Okay, whenyou were growing up five years ago,
five years ago, when I wasin college, Yeah, sure, it's
all relative. Five years ago,I was like, here, it's Later
(10:41):
with mo Kelly. Can if IAM six forty live everywhere in the iHeartRadio
app. We have some dollar Treeninety nine cent good news when we come
back. You're listening to Later withMoe Kelly on demand from KFI AM six
forty. You may remember ninety ninecents Only recently closed hundreds of stores nationwide
(11:01):
because it filed for bankruptcy. AndI had a favorite ninety nine cents only
store. It was one that Iused in Harbor City where I was growing
up, and when I got myfirst apartment in Torrents, not too far
from Harbor City, bought everything fromninety nine cents only if you're going to
furnish an apartment. Outside of furniture, you go to the ninety nine cents
(11:22):
only store all the cleaning items. If you needed a mop ninety nine cents
only store. If you needed likecandles, or you needed dishrags, towels,
ninety nine cents only store, neededa broom, ninety nine cents only
store, it was perfect for that. So I had a lot of fond
memories of just becoming a real grownass adult thanks to the ninety nine cents
(11:46):
only store. And I had recentlyspoken to the CEO, I want to
say, maybe two or three monthsago, and we talked about that store
in general, how long it hadbeen, because it had been at it
for at least forty five fifty yearsor so. And to see that it
was on the list of stores whichwere shuttered closed, you know, almost
dropped it tier just about. Igot sentimental for a second. But Dollar
(12:09):
Tree is reportedly the winning bidder forat least ninety three different ninety nine cents
only store locations all around California, and most of them reportedly are here in
southern California. The bids and theundisclosed terms are a subject to court approval,
(12:30):
so this is not a done deal. And you may remember most of
the stores were closed a week agoafter the discount sales way. And did
you see some of the pictures. It was really sad. It was sad
because they were I mean, whatis a clearance sale at a ninety nine
cents only store? Everything in thestore is just a nickel. I don't
know where you go if everything ison sale at the ninety nine cents only
(12:54):
store. I never got a chanceto go by and check it out,
but I was curious to know. But it at least seventy stores which were
closed were on that list from southernCalifornia, everywhere from Alhambra to Wittier and
in between. And in the companyrelease ninety nine cents, interim Chief executive
Officer Mike Simonsik, who I saidI had spoken to, said shifting consumer
(13:18):
demand, rising shrink, or theftas they call it, and the pandemic
quote presented significant and lasting challenges ina retail environment. Rising levels of shrink,
persistent inflationary pressures, and other macroeconomicheadwinds all greatly hindered the company's ability
to operate, and Dollatree has didyou know that Dollatree has another major competitor.
(13:43):
I didn't really know this. Didyou ever go to Dollar General?
Yes? Is it is that southernCalifornia based? I don't know, and
I can't really I don't recall anydifference among all of them. Yeah,
I don't go ahead. No,I don't know either. I've heard of
it, but yeah, Dollar Storewas my spot, but a lot of
people that aren't from here know aboutDollar in General. Yeah, I guess
(14:07):
maybe it's maybe it's more eastern orsouthern focus. I just don't remember seeing
what another couple where I'm from,Okay, up north them, Okay,
well maybe that's it, yeah, because I mean it was just Dollar Tree
or the ninety nine cents only, and oftentimes you would see them within a
block of each other. They're likeright next to each other. And from
(14:30):
what I understand, it's a marketingthing where it's not unusual to see a
McDonald's and a Burger King really closeto each other, because the marketing and
the demographics have already shown that fastfood in that particular location will work well.
So maybe that translates to the wholediscount shoppers where if you put one
(14:50):
store there. The clientele is alreadyopen to that, so put another one
there. But yeah, I wouldalways see a nine nine sense only in
a Dollar Tree, very close toeach other. I always thought like Dollar
General and Family Dollar were closer tolike a grocery outlet, yes, than
like a dollar store. That's likehow I thought it was like comparing the
(15:11):
two. Now. I remember backin the day, ninety nine cents only
had food as well. I don'tknow about Dollar Tree. Dollar Tree started.
They have freezers, but they don'thave like the fresh vegetables and stuff
like yeah, yeah, but theystill have like the freezers and they're like
pantry goods and stuff. Okay,Mark, I've never eaten any of the
(15:35):
food from those places. And therewas one I used to go out and
go to to get postal supplies becausewhen you have to buy an envelope or
a patient ripe or something like that, at the post office they got you
over a barrel, but if yougo they're dirt cheap at the dollar stores.
But so I was always kind offascinated by the food and the freezers
in the back, but never wantedto roll that gastro intestinal dice. I
(15:56):
remember the first time I saw milkat the ninety nine cents only store and
I said, there's no way inhell. Yeah, exactly, because there's
no way they're getting Why. Iknow, with with grocery stores, they
almost like have a pecking order howthey get food they get, especially when
it comes to produce. There's anorder in which they get to choose to
produce, and I have to assumethat they're not getting the freshest milk.
(16:17):
I'm just assuming that, you know, it's probably expiring in twenty five minutes
from when it hits the shelf. Now, if you want to try the
food their planet before you got acouple of days off work, I just
couldn't trust it, you know.I just never and I'm barely starting to
trust Target barely on some items.Target is turned into a quasi grocery store
as well. That's interesting because Tualaand I just off air had a discussion
(16:40):
of some Target food he got thatapparently had some explosive repercussions. I'm saying,
that's my point. I said,I'm not quite there. I'm just
just getting kind of comfortable with Target. There's certain things that I'll open myself
up to buy from Target. Likemaybe why yeah, whose is safe and
you can disinfect it with the boozeyou can well, or at least in
(17:02):
the movies you can, yeah exactly. It's Later with mo Kelly. Can't
b I Am six forty Live everywhereon the iHeartRadio app. And when we
come back, we have your midweek horoscope. We didn't get to do
it on Monday, so we're goingto do it in the middle of the
week. You're listening to Later withMoe Kelly on demand from KFI AM six
forty Can't I Am six forty. It's Later with mo Kelly. It's time
for your mid week Horoscope. Wedidn't do this on Monday, which was
(17:26):
Memorial Day, but we didn't forgetabout you, all right. This is
to ignite your confidence. Aries. You felt a greater fire coursing through you
for weeks. Aries. You're superchargedin nearly every way. The key to
harnessing all this powerful energy is tofocus on the most important personal and professional
goals you'd like to tackle, thenset forth to accomplish them. The projects,
(17:49):
actions, and goals that you beginnow will be infused with strength and
likely reach a successful conclusion. You'realso radiating sexual magnetism even more than you
usual, So seize control and lureromance to you. If you're feeling a
bit stir crazy or aggressive, getinvolved in physical activities. Seem like that's
just one long sexual innumindow no punintended, Taurus. The past month has
(18:15):
turned much of your attention to yourprivate life, Taurus. You may feel
a bit more tense and anxious,or perhaps you might be working on tackling
mental health matters or finding closure fromthe past. If you do your best
to overcome this, you may findbetter days ahead. Use this energy to
become deeply invested in working on projectsin solitude or behind the scenes. The
(18:36):
plans you are developing now may cometo light in June or July, so
use this time wisely. Do Gemini, this is for you, Mark,
Let's have it. You're a socialbutterfly. What else is This isn't just
a lifestyle for you, however,it's a core piece of your personality.
You're currently in a period of socialization, expanding your network and likely engaging with
(18:57):
communities. You may find you enjoywhat life has to offer through your connections
with people, ultimately causing you tothrive, learn, and grow As a
result, you could also be inhot pursuit of very significant hopes, dreams,
or goals. By working with ateam like later with mo Kelly,
you're likely to reach at least onemajor goal soon. Keep your eyes on
(19:18):
the prize and work swiftly. Wellthat's hopeful cancer, Okay, I think
this is Stefan. You've been inthe fast lane on professional projects recently,
and right now you're in a chariotready to dominate your path forward. You're
in one of the best periods ina two year cycle to move quickly up
the professional ladder and realize your ambitions. Launch projects, court authority figures,
(19:41):
reach for public recognition, aim fora promotion, or look for a better
job. By Stefan, if youfocus in and use the energy that is
in your favor now, you couldset up a two year trend of success,
glory, and victory. Go forit now. Do not settle for
less, Leo. There's been aburning in your soul recently. All you
(20:02):
want is to soar high above everyoneelse. You hunger for personal and professional
growth and crave to be unlimited. The best part about this the more you
seek to shake it up, trynew things, and venture into new horizons
physically, mentally, spiritually beyond. The more you will grow and the faster
it'll happen in the next two years. Don't sit in the shadows, don't
(20:22):
get complacent. Life is about takingaction, being confident, and showing the
world that you are fearless. Virgo. A deep hunger for closeness and intimacy
has been boiling under the surface asof late Virgo. If you're in a
happy relationship, you could be experiencingmore passion, sexuality, closeness, and
teamwork. If you're single or havean unhealthy connection, you could be licking
(20:45):
your wounds around trust, vulnerability, neediness, or past relationship traumas. You
may be feeling a bit down onyourself and a little bit lonelier. The
best thing to do dig deep withinyourself to understand your true needs so that
you can find more enriching and intimateconnections. Libra. Partnership is always important
to you, Libra. However, the past few weeks have created an intense
(21:07):
need for union. The best thingto do right now. Glad you asked
work with a significant other and embracedteamwork. Setting off solo at this time
will make it feel like you're encounteringhurdles at every turn, but by finding
the right personal or professional partner, you will rapidly move toward happiness and your
goals. Also, be aware oftension bubbling behind the scenes in a relationship
(21:27):
or with a competitor. It couldbe grading your nerves, so try to
find peaceful solutions. Scorpio, hereyou go, Twala. Life likely feels
like you have a million and onepriorities to constantly tackle right now, There's
just so much to handle at thistime. Productivity and efficiency are top priorities
in order to achieve it all.You may feel like there's a lot of
(21:49):
pressure coming at you from your workplace, employment, or clients. If you
seek to get a lot done,Fortunately, you should feel a surplus of
energy. Opportunities to find new work, projects or clients may arise as well.
Go for them, Sagittarius. Thisis for you and me, producer
Keiana. There's been a lot offocus on productivity in recent months. The
(22:11):
heavens above have been bringing a vibranthunger for passion, pleasure, and laughter
to your heart. At the sametime, you are in a magnificent period
to enjoy life, have fun,and indulge in pleasure in hobbies. Romance
and sex especially are cosmically are cosmicallyaligned. Now, if you'd like to
improve your intimate life or is single, find a passionate love affair, you
(22:34):
must put yourself out there and strikequickly. Well, seeing as how I'm
married and you're engaged, going toget married in months that I I mean,
you can, but it might messup the relationship. But back to
this, you're setting up a twoyear cycle around love expression and enjoyment.
So make all of this a toppriority now, Capricorn, And this would
(22:59):
apply to miss Tiffany Hobbs, who'scoming up with the viral load at the
top of the hour. Tiffany,Capricorn. You always have a domestic focus,
but it is even more top ofmind now. It appears there's a
lot of hustle and bustle around home, family, real estate, or domestic
matters. It has been building allmonth and it is even more of a
focus now. This may appear inthe form of moving, renovating, redecorating,
(23:25):
or handling situations around living experiences. You may also be forced to get
involved in some big family matters, like helping a parent or one of your
kindred tackle a goal, channel thatenergy and allow it to give you strength.
Is that accurate? Oh my gosh, it's like it knows me.
Okay, so it got you right, it got Mark right. Well we
(23:49):
think, okay, well we'll justtakets worth. Sure, Sure, Stefan,
I'm not so sure. He seemsto be kind of I kind of
missed it. I know you werebusy. Well the chariot they mentioned first,
Stephan is his uber. Well. They also said that he'd probably be
looking for a new job soon,so that kind of attracts. Did it
really said? Yeah? Chasing professionalgoals out? God? No, I'm
(24:11):
still here, Robin, I'll you. I thought you say, like b
I could never leave the show thatthat's my point. I'm not going anywhere,
okay, just want to be sure. No Tuala gets jealous. So
Aquarius. Life has been a whirlwindin recent weeks, Aquarius, and it
still feels that way. You're likelyexperiencing a very social period with friends,
neighbors, or siblings. In additionto a lot of travel to This week
(24:34):
would be a great time to visita nearby destination or even play tourists in
your own town. The more thatyou go with the flow and embrace spontaneity,
the more fun you'll have. Also, if you've been involved in any
big intellectual projects, they will likelysee a successful launch if you fine tune
the details now. And lastly,Pisces. As much as you don't like
(24:59):
to focus on or worry about money, Pisces, it appears there's a major
attention on your financial life this month, especially now. Maybe you're fighting for
clients or raise, or perhaps you'refeeling overwhelmed with work projects. You may
also be in the middle of somevery big expenses, as if the entire
universe is making you quote unquote payup for things that keep being thrown your
(25:21):
way. Fortunately, if you usethis time now to balance your budget and
look for ways to increase your monetization, you too could be in quite a
bit of good luck coming your way. And that is your horoscope, your
midweek horoscope. To ignite your confidence. Be bold, be strong, be
(25:41):
like Mark nice, knowing your foushstrong like bull. It's later with bo
Kelly, can't I am six fortyWe are live everywhere on the iHeartRadio app.
And on the other side, we'regoing to go cruise in and We're
going to tell you about the passengerwho died jumping off Icon of the Seas,
the Royal Caribbean ship, the largestone in the world. Sad story,
really sad story, or maybe itisn't. You'll decide. You're listening
(26:03):
to later with Moe Kelly on Demandfrom KFI AM six forty. This story
about the passenger who died jumping offthe world's largest cruise ship had to do
with Royal Caribbean Icon of the Seas. The male passenger, who was not
as of yet identified, reportedly jumpedfrom the twenty deck high from the very
(26:26):
top of the Icon of the Seas. That's the largest cruise ship in the
world, had its maiden voyage earlierthis year, and this person jumped from
the twenty high deck twenty deck highafter it left a Florida port on Sunday
to embark on a seven day cruisearound the Caribbean. I've been on that
(26:47):
cruise with Royal Caribbean. I knowwhat it's like, and it would seem
like you would want to If you'regoing to do it, Why jump at
the beginning of the cruise, jumpat the end. At least have something
to go out on if you're gonnaif you gonna go up with a big
splash to go at the end.And I think it's probably someone who unfortunately
took their own life, because that'sthat's the only reason that you would actually
(27:11):
jump from the top deck. Andthis is what the report is. The
person jumped, not sell overboard, not got drunk and intoxicated and lost their
balance. On all these cruise ships, I would say the railing when you're
on the top deck, especially withRoyal Caribbean, they come up, I
would say to the average person toabout their chest. You have to try
(27:36):
to get over. And there arecertain portions if you ever been have you
ever been to the Empire State Building. People used to jump there a lot.
But in New York City, ifyou go to the Empire State Building,
they put these bars up top whichcurl in word so you cannot climb
them and climb over and then throwyourself down to the pavement below. Some
(27:56):
of the cruise ships now they havesomething similar where it's it's really a deterrent
for anyone to try to do that, but they can't protect everything on the
ship. And Royal Caribbean, whichoperates icon for the seas, they launched
a search and rescue operation for theperson. They say, quote, our
care team is actively providing support andassistance to the guest loved ones during this
(28:21):
difficult time. For the privacy ofthe guests in their family, we have
no additional details to share. Customarily, when you go on a cruise,
you don't go by yourself because sometimesthey'll make you pay for double occupancy because
there's limited room. Where like ifyou're gonna go by yourself, like,
well, it's two to a cabin, so you're gonna have to pay double.
(28:45):
It doesn't say whether this person wastraveling by himself or not. That's
something I would know. They don'tgive that information. They just say that
this person just jumped. And Iknow that we were talking about mental health
and athletes earlier in the week, and who knows what's going on in someone's
mind. But this is something Ialways wonder anyone who should think about choosing
(29:06):
suicide, who would you want tofind the body, Who would you want
to burden that person with for therest of their lives. Who would you
want that to have to deal withthat memory, that image? And the
reason I talked about this as faras this person going alone. If this
person actually went with someone on thecruise, oh my goodness, what do
(29:32):
you do? Is day one ofthe cruise and whoever you travel with jump
to their own death. And Iknow, Twala who's walking in the studio.
He only wants to walk in hereto say another reason why he will
never get on a cruise ship.I know, just hurr up and say
no, no, no. Actually, my thoughts on this, and something
that I was thinking about was whenwe look at the individuals that were jumping
(29:56):
at the Disneyland. At Disneyland jumpon through, is this something that being
that as it's being reported, thatmore people will look to do because it
seems obviously from reading the story thatthis was intentional, that this was this
man's intent, and could this thenspark a new trend in suicidal tendencies for
(30:19):
individuals? That was what jumped outof me first. I was like,
Wow, this individual sought out thiscruise to do, not just any cruise,
the tallest largest cruise ship on thewaters currently. And when you look
at how the first jumper at Disneylandsparked more or influenced more, what will
be done in the terms of possibilitybut the difference is, and I'm not
(30:44):
trying to be flipping, I'm justbeing serious. I can drive to the
Disneyland parking structure tonight with really noeffort, no deterrent. To get on
a cruise ship, there's a lotof booking and planning that's involved. You
have to do a lot submitting yourpassport and all that kind of stuff.
You just get on the ship sayingnothing of the thousands of dollars that you
probably paid. That's that's the disconnectthat that I just don't understand where it
(31:08):
would have been easier and simpler ifthat was the goal to just do something
else. I And again we don'tknow that we don't say to this individual,
but it seems that if you gothrough all of this, that you
wanted your death to make an impact, You wanted your death to be seen.
(31:30):
You didn't do this with the intentof it just going under the radar.
Yeah, And as just you know, as a disclaimer and as an
advocate, like, please, ifyou are contemplating suicide, there is people
that want to help there, pleasereach out. You can text the suicide
(31:51):
hotline, call the suicide hotline andlet me find the number. I had
it right here. It's nine toeight eight. So please, if you
are contemplating it, you know peopleare out there that want to help.
So twalllet does this mean that youwould at least consider a cruise? Now?
No, this, this has nothingto do with my apprehension. Call
(32:12):
it an outright fear of deep darkwater. There's no business that I have
on any cruise ships, not thisone, not the Royal Caribbean, not
the Disney Cruise, not the CruiseCruise, not the rebranded, reborn Titanic
held to the no for all ofthem. Is it because you don't know
how to swim that? And Ijust have a sheer paranoia, a literal
(32:38):
fear of water like that. Idon't even walk out on the pier at
Santa Monica just because I look atthat water and I'm petrified. Is it
just the ocean or is it it'socean lakes pool that's even like getting in
a pool and looking at the deepend, like going under our looking at
the deep end. I'm out andI'm not getting back in the pool.
(33:00):
I don't know what it is.It's called a phobia. Yeah, I
mean, like to me, oceanwater lake stuff like that it might as
well be buzzing, might as wellbe a bee. Dad, Hey,
don't bring my bees into this, all right? Uh, Stephan, don't
reach the button. Look, Iwill walk into your studio and tear that
(33:22):
place up. Do not. Justlet me know when you're done. Okay,
I'll go to break when you guysare done, You finished? You
had enough? Did you enjoy that? I did? Okay? Can I
(33:45):
go to break now? I thinkyou should? Okay? If I am
