ti rack dot com studios tyrack dot com. But we
get there unmatched selection, fast free shipping, free road as
protection Umber ten thousand recommended to allar tyrat dot com.
Wait tire buying should be Hey, I have to point
this out. I told we had a little bit of
a luncheon with so many of our big sponsors, and
obviously Tyrak has been a partner. They're based in South Bend, Indiana.
We like him anyway, right, just because they're Domers and

(00:43):
Ones a Hoosier. We still like him anyway. But I
told them, and this is true. I don't know if
you ever get this because Tyrak has been such a
big part of our show. Okay, I'm going to just
tell all my friends and family and even my daughter Harper,
who blew out a tire on Sunday. I don't get
free tires, yes, okay, And I don't have some hotline
that's like triple A that can get you free tires. Now,

(01:05):
can you get everything you need to get in terms
of the tires, and can they ship it to one
of their ten thousand local retailers?

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (01:12):
Can they even Can you ever actually do that deal
where they come and fix at your house? Yes, but
you know it is not I am not to go between.
Just want to make sure that's that's clear. Like tire
rat dot com sponsors our studios. They're a great partner.
We love them, and they have all of what you
need for your tire needs. And having multiple kids with
cars and cars myself, I'm constantly needing tires. But you

(01:36):
know what you can't do to you boy and Jason,
this is for you, and this is for my mom
and my daughter. Like I don't get free tires, and
I definitely don't change tires. I know people that do
all those things and know what you should do. Go
to tirac dot com. It's the place to be. It's
it's the place to be. And I say this out

(01:56):
of love. I love that you guys listen, and I
love that we have a great partnership, but man, I
can't take dude. It's like once a week somebody be like, hey, dude,
can you get me some free tires?

Speaker 3 (02:07):
No?

Speaker 1 (02:09):
No, that's not how it works. It's not how it works.
Not how it works. It all. So you're you're driving
the freeway on the four h five headed southbound.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Four h five.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
Sure, I hit something and it was impactful on my tire,
and my first fear was, my god, I'm going to
blow out a tire on the way to Lax to
get to the super Bowl. Luckily it lasted to Lax,
but my warning light came on.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
That means you're coming home now.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
I'm getting into the airport. I have a feeling when
I get back to Lax tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Night at eight o'clock at night, I think I'm going to.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Be fixing a tire. Hey, could I contact you, Doug?

Speaker 1 (02:47):
You know I should do. I'll fix it. Don't worry
about it, Jayce dou. I mean I do have a
number of one of the guys in South Bend, and
we do get the deals that everybody gets, and it
does kind of pick up the pace of it, but again,
you're just creating a that doesn't need to be created.
I'm going to tell one more four or five story,
and then we're gonna get to Brian Dawkins bea can
you he he Get hold on a second, Okay, I

(03:08):
told this story. We were talking about COVID, and I
think I told you guys the story at dinner last night.
If I didn't forgive me, I tell lots of stories.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Right.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
I was. I guest hosted Colin Cowherd the day before
the day that Rudy Gobert popped up with COVID, and
then basically the NBA canceled that game, and then all
the games started to get canceled the next day. And
on that next day was a Thursday of Championship Week.
I was headed to Chicago to cover the Big Ten
Tournament and my boss at Compass Media is a woman

(03:41):
named Michelle Savator, and I kid you not. I was
on the four h five and I'm cruising along and
I get a text, are you at the Big Ten Tournament?
And I was like, I'm on my way and the
text was turn around. So stupid me. I thought she
because she lives in Los Angeles and I knew she

(04:02):
was going to the tournament. I actually while driving, I'm like,
maybe she's behind me and I turn around. Now no,
She's like, no, dummy, the tournament has been canceled. Turnaround.
So different than you, but always nightmares heading lax on
the four h five. Travis Matthew is apparel designed for

Sports Radio. And as he settles in, Oh, you want
to talk about a career, Brian Dawkins had a great career.

(04:45):
He is a Hall of Famer. He is synonymous with
the safety position. He's synonymous with the Philadelphia Eagles. But
thanks so much for joining us here on the program
live at Radio Row at the side of the Super Bowl.
You watch this team intensely. What in what do you
like most about this group? Defensively?

Speaker 5 (05:03):
Well, wow, you know the first thing that I will
tell you is that they have grown tremendously since to
buy week, right, So to me, there's accountability in the
building because there were some things happening in.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
The first couple of weeks.

Speaker 5 (05:19):
Yeah that you don't You do not see going forward
to me. So to me, that means that there's accountability.
There's there's vic and then the coach's staff or however
the leadership then goes player wise, that there are tough
conversations being had so that they can do a better
job on the field.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
And I love that.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
It's interesting because last year they started out so hot
that it's kind of spiraled a little bit, right, yep,
and then this year it was kind of wobbling and
then they got it together. What do you think changed? Yeah,
it's just that accountability.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
I mean, man, you know this like it when you
have accountability.

Speaker 5 (05:49):
Yet I can look at you, me and you brothers,
iron sharpens iron, and I see something that you're not
doing right, and I can, you know, say it in
a respectful way. Yeah, but tell you the things that
I see that you're messing up on, you do the
same for me. We're going to be better off because
of it. And the other thing is going to happen
is we're gonna draw closer together. Why because I can
trust you in that I can trust you to do
your job and to tell me when you see something

(06:10):
in me, and you can do the same for me.
So we then both begin to play at a higher
level and a higher effective being more effective because we're
doing things from that, from that, from that vantage point.
And again that is what did not happen last year.
Not gonna talk about last year, but this year with
Vic Fangio and the coaching staff.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
To me, that is what I see. I see it,
and then I see.

Speaker 5 (06:30):
That coming together more and more of the players because
of it, and they're probably holding one another accountable as well.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
And then again, you love I love playing for dudes.
Like so we.

Speaker 5 (06:41):
We're both going on the field and we can't wait
to go ball out with one another. Why because we've
sharpened one another, We've gotten better.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
Right, Okay, so what about the offense so that it
does still feel a little dysfunctional, That does still feel
whether it j aj or whatever it is, you know
with Jalen, Like even the comment he's finally healthy and
he's like, well, they take the straight jacket off me,
Like you just you're going to Super Bowl. I don't know. Again,
I'm outsider, your insider and your legendary eagle.

Speaker 5 (07:11):
Yeah, but I'm not. And here's the thing. I'm not
an insider in the locker room.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
No, but you know, like you know a lot more
about how this thing works, and it does feel like
there's still a little dysfunctionality.

Speaker 5 (07:22):
And so here's what I'll tell you. I don't know
the personality of the person. Okay, So if I don't
know the personality of the person, I don't know if
he's a sarcastic dude, I don't you see what I'm saying.
I don't know what type of So when he says that,
I can't just take it as well he's just calling it.

Speaker 3 (07:37):
I can't. I can't do it that way right for me.

Speaker 5 (07:40):
I can look at other aspects of maybe he's saying
it from a different vantage point when it comes to that.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
But I would tell you though, even in that.

Speaker 5 (07:47):
Room, when it comes to the receivers and the quarterback,
to me, there was a tough conversation had that they
had a conversation and they played in the next game.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
I think that was like weak.

Speaker 5 (08:02):
Fourteen or something like that, and they put up a
whole and actually it was after the game that he
said that, right that they put up a whole lot
more yards, right w Tough conversations were had, and they
came out of that room and decided that we're gonna
do this thing together. We're gonna do this dance after
we make this touchdown, and they get came closer together.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
You can't You're not going to go through a.

Speaker 5 (08:23):
Season without having to have those tough conversations.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
And once again, I've said this a.

Speaker 5 (08:28):
Couple of times now, if you're willing to do that,
it's better off in the long run, because I don't
want them playing their best footballer me in the midyear.
I want them playing their best football right now. And
to me, if you looked at that last game, they're
playing their absolute best football. Passing was on point, running
game was on point, defense was balling out, causing turnovers.

(08:49):
All of those things are happening in the way it's
supposed to happen. At the last game of the season,
you play your absolute best game.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
Okay, then you look at the other side, how does
Andy Reid consistently keep doing this?

Speaker 5 (09:02):
Listen, he has learned from the past, and he is
a much better coach over all manager of everything when
it came to the game of football, clock management, everything like,
there's there's everybody has a weakness to the game.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
I don't.

Speaker 5 (09:19):
I can't call his weakness out when it comes to that.
I just see that he has the ability to then
look at what you're doing defensively and already know some
of the things that he can do to attack the
thing you just did right, same thing on the defensive
side of the ball.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
So he has.

Speaker 5 (09:34):
Someone inspects that I believe is the winninggest defensive coordinators
as Super Bowls are concerned in NFL history?

Speaker 3 (09:41):
So how many things has he already seen?

Speaker 5 (09:43):
So you can't show him too much, right, you can't
show him things that he has not seen and already
made adjustments to. So my point is is that you
have two coaches that are on the field right now
when it comes well special teams as well. I'm not
gonna leave to wow, but you have coaches that have
seen so much and they make so many adjustments as
there's nothing that you can't show them that they probably

(10:03):
not have have a couple of plays that they can
beat the thing that you gave them.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
I doesn't know how comforting that is as a coach
on the ste.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
No, it's it's it's interesting, right because you know, when
he was in Philly, he had Jim Johnson, right, a
guy he trusted immenseally. You just do the defense now
with Spags and it seems like he just trusts Spags
with it and and they've been powered effect and it's
I think the fasting part is first time with Mahomes,
they get to the Super Bowl, they win it. It's
an offensive base team. They just kind of keep it

(10:31):
together defensively. You know, then they've won it with very
limited offense and just kind of find a way. Now
it's defense and running game, and then Mahomes every once
in a while saves the day. It's it's the different
iterations of it, figuring out how to win with that
with a different talent group that that's super impressive as.

Speaker 3 (10:47):
A cat, and I agree with that one hundred percent.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
Last thing for you, what's it like? What's it like
to be you at the Super Bowl and get recognized
for your incredible life in football?

Speaker 3 (11:02):
Now it's a blessing.

Speaker 5 (11:03):
And I will tell you that, you know, this is
not something that I didn't dream about me having this
type of success in the national Football League.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
Like I didn't know if I can do it earlier
in my career.

Speaker 5 (11:14):
And to have me to be able to then come
to the Super Bowl, half people wanted to take pictures
and me doing interviews. For me to even be a
part of the you know, Buringer and Lily you know campaign,
Like I never dreamed of these things. I never thought
that this would be something I was doing. So this
is extremely humbling for me and I'm absolutely grateful to
have the opportunity to do it.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
Okay, So you want to spread awareness about kidney health
and encourage football fans around the country to put their
own hands by getting tested for kidney disease. What why
this costs?

Speaker 3 (11:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (11:45):
So why this cause is because my parents both have
high blood pressure and both have type two diabetes, and
that puts them in the in the category of individuals
that could potentially develop kidney disease. So once I got
that information, pass it on to them and their caregivers
right so that they can make sure that they need
to get those tests. So the campaign is this, It

(12:06):
takes you and your doctor. It takes two and it
takes two tests, a blood test and a urine test
to make sure you don't have that. So one of
the things you just talked about, right, as a professional athlete,
in order for me to be what I've to do
what I did, I had to be very proactive about
a whole lot of things. And so what this campaign
is really trying to do is be very proactive with

(12:26):
people who are out there listening and love the game
of football that also fall into those two categories. So
go to test test your kidneys dot com to find
out more information, Team up with your doctors and get
that test.

Speaker 3 (12:38):
Get those tests.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
If b doc says that you should do it, that's
generally just a good, good way to live live your life,
whether you're a football fan or non football fan. Brian,
it's honored a pleasure to catch up with you. I
really appreciate your time.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
Thank you, brother.

Speaker 1 (12:49):

Champ Bailey, Solomon Thomas, and Trey McBride all part of
the pod Today. Today, let's get caught up on things
we might have missed. That the trade deadline was one

(14:35):
hour and twenty two minutes ago. Who got moved and
for what? Here's Dan Byer Doug.

Speaker 6 (14:40):
A lot of the big names were moved prior to
today's trade deadline, I should say about twenty four hours ago,
or prior to today's three o'clock Eastern time trade deadline.
But there were moves that got in just under the wire,
including the Atlanta Hawks, who were busy trading a lot
of players. Trey Young was in deut but bog Don
Bogdanovich was He and three second round go to the

(15:00):
LA Clippers for Terrance Man and bones. Highland Hawks also
traded DeAndre Hunter to the Cavaliers for Karis Lavert, George
Kniang and draft picks. The Jazz recently acquired Dennis Shrewder
and some people were saying he completed the Jersey rainbow. Well,
Shrewder is not playing for the Jazz. He's going to
be Delta the Pistons. So I don't know if it

(15:21):
ultimately completes it. But that's a hard one. Count Does
it count the purple?

Speaker 3 (15:26):
I don't think it does. I think that you and
I think you have to play. I think you have
to play for them.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
I'm gonna I'm gonna actually say, hold on, hold Dan Bower,
hold on, hold.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
On, hold on, hold on.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
Yeah, he did play for the Lakers. The Lakers do
wear purple. Oh that's right, So technically I think he
could still get I think he was used as.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
The gold I think that was the gold part of
the ring, right, but you could.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
Use the Golden State Warriors as the Gold.

Speaker 3 (15:50):
I think that was the Blue Party.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
I can use the Pistons as the Blue.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
Oh there you go. He figured out. Ah, good, good work.
This is all.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
It's so funny that we're both into we are such nerds.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
Great job, we are such nerds.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
Well he's not the most I geeked out with another
guy and felt totally okay with it in a long time.
So that was complete Internet geek out moment.

Speaker 3 (16:16):
That was fun. That was good work on your part.

Speaker 6 (16:18):
Other news in the NFL, Jalen Carter missing his media
availability for the Philadelphia Eagles because of an illness. He
was practice practiced on a limited basis yesterday. No word
on the status of practice today. Eagles hired former Bears
offensive coordinator Shane walder And to be their passing game coordinator.
Speaking of the Bears, a huge loss with the organization

(16:40):
and in the entire NFL. Their principal owner of Virginia
McCaskey passed away at the age of one hundred and two.
She took ownership of the team following the passing of
her father, George Hallis in nineteen eighty three. Some golf
to catch you up on. At the Waste Management Phoenix Open,
Justin Thomas as the share of the lead. He is
at five hunder par. Jordan Speith is currently two shots

(17:02):
back at three under par in first round play. Ohio
State has given Ryan Day a seven year extension fresh
off of their national championship. He'll likes not going to
be fired. That is correct. That is correct. Twelve and
a half million dollars annually for Ryan Day. Ye highest
paid coaching college.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
And can I just ask the question, like why why?
I'm like, who are you matching who's coming in? And
like you get a bonus for winning a championship if
you want to extend a guy, extend a guy. I
just somebody's gonna have to explain. And I'm in the
coaching profession. I know we're supposed to roop for everybody
to get more money. Then we all get more money. Like,

(17:41):
how does that help anything? I don't understand? Can you?

Speaker 6 (17:47):
Well, I think that they there is always the possibility
of him going to the NFL. You could stave that
off next year in the coaching cycle. Let's say, if
things don't go well for Ohio State next year and
he's getting a lot more flack, maybe just says, you
know what, I kind of want out. I want to
see where. I want to see what else I have
fresh off the national championship. There's not too many.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
Coachs million dollars?

Speaker 3 (18:09):
Is that?

Speaker 1 (18:09):
Like that just doesn't make any sense.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
Well, at some point somebody will pass him.

Speaker 6 (18:13):
It's not like the NBA or NFL quarterbacks, But at
some point I shouldn't say it's like the NBA at
all but like the NFL with the quarterbacks, somebody will
pass somebody at some point. Ryan Day will be But
there are very few head coaches in college football with
national championships, right, and he does have one of them.
And Joe Burrow said on Fox Sports one's Breakfast Ball

(18:35):
he's willing to restructure his contract to keep Jamar Chase
and T Higgins, Trey Hendrickson, Mike is SICKI all possible.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
That sounds like they're all coming back.

Speaker 6 (18:46):
That'd be awesome opportunities for Joe Burrow them to pay
guys or leave. Jamar Chase could have the franchise take
place on him its first year. He's eligible for an extension.
T Higgins could be bye bye.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
I can make the art. Jamar Chases as good as
a wide receiver as anybody who ever seen play football. Okay, okay,
I mean like Jerry Rice is the gold standard. You
gotta do it for a long time to be Jerry Rice.
But in terms of at their peak, and right now
he's at his peak, he's as good as anybody ever
seen do it.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
And I would all I would also say that I
think T.

Speaker 6 (19:18):
Higgins is an absolute luxury that you don't need to
pay for that. If you're gonna pay, T Higgins is
the last guy that you should pay for. As much
as you want to feel like you're connected and want
T Higgins to stay together, can't do it.

Speaker 3 (19:37):
Yeah, we're on.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
We're on.

Speaker 6 (19:39):
Bab Check's on, like bab Check Sirius xam taunting me.
That's the latest Doug.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
Stug gott Leeb show here on Fox Sports Radio. Uh,
thank you, Anny. Okay, there's there's a couple of things
that I I think we need to get to here.
I love the Bengal talk because I like that Bengal team.
The difference is they need a defense. Right. It's like
all those players you mentioned to get restructured, but they're

(20:09):
all offensive players and their defense was horrendous, heenous. Did
you see we haven't talked about it because it's been
the Super Bowl and Luca got traded. Did you see
what it is? In the ultimate irony, Dennis Shooter has
been traded twice.

Speaker 3 (20:28):
To three different teams, I think in five days.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
Yes, and this is after Dennis Shooter said it's like
modern day slavery. And I don't know how to express
this other than to be honest, but It is absolutely
nothing like modern day slavery. Right, Like Dennis Shooter famously
turned down a close to one hundred million dollar contract

(20:54):
and to play the market with the Lakers. He didn't
get one, and since then he's been kind of fighting up.
He'll sure, right, But when you're offered and I think
it was ninety six million dollars, don't hold me to
that it was a couple of years ago. I don't
need to research it because it's not really the point
of it. But when like, this is business, this is
actually how all business works. You sign a contract and

(21:19):
you have to fulfill that contract.

Speaker 3 (21:23):
You have to fulfill that.

Speaker 1 (21:24):
That's really it. And what happens is like you're allowed
to complain about being traded.

Speaker 3 (21:30):
You're allowed.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
The problem with NBA players is they're obnoxious. NBA players
force their way out of situations more times three or
four x more than they're traded when they don't want
to be traded.

Speaker 3 (21:44):
Is that a fair sort of ratio? Sure?

Speaker 1 (21:47):
Okay, so you have they have completely guaranteed contracts with
the exception of two way contracts, and anythink even two
A are guaranteed. But there's a couple of non guarantees
but most of them are guaranteed contracts. And there's a
word in Yiddish. Have you ever heard heard the word hutzba? Yes, Okay,
hutzma means nerve gall, the gall of somebody who turned

(22:12):
down close to one hundred million dollars to be with
the Lakers played the market, hasn't gotten it back since
earned his way back into the league. Okay, making a
business deal out where again, if we're just honest, Dennis
Schuter is wildly overpaid, wildly overpaid. To say, well, that's

(22:36):
modern day slavery.

Speaker 6 (22:38):
Well, here's my thoughts on this. And I know we're
gonna have some guests here just quickly. I feel like
when he puts modern day in front of it, it
softens it for him for any blowback in a way.

Speaker 3 (22:50):
But I just think it's a really, really bad example.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
I think he made thirteen million dollars. Hey, do you
want to make thirteen million dollars? This is the last
year of his deal, by the way, that's why he's
being moved around. Do you want to make thirteen million
dollars to play in Detroit? Do you want to make
thirteen million dollars to play in gold sead Like he's
making thirteen million dollars wherever. That's a business deal. And
if he doesn't want to play basketball, you know what,

(23:15):
he doesn't have to do, doesn't have to play basketball,
and he doesn't get any of that money. Right, that's
actually how it works. And there's there's a world there
where the Detroit Pistons are like, yeah, we're gonna pay
him to not play basketball. So you can use the
word modern day, but there is nothing about it that
is slavery. You are employee, you signed a contract. You're

(23:37):
being compensated whoever is on the hook for wherever you
have to live, wherever you have to work. And oh yeah,
by the way, if you get traded in the last
year of your deal, like you can live at a
five star hotel and wherever you want. You don't have
to move your family here on the road more oftentimes
than not. Anyway, there's a couple months left in the
season and he got traded to the Pistons, who are

(23:58):
one of the up and coming teams in the NBA.
He might actually find a home there, sure might actually
get a new contract there. But you just you you
wear out and lose fans when you use words. Yes,
modern day is designed to to soften the blow. But
there's nothing about making thirteen million dollars a year to
play basketball by choice that is slavery correct.

Speaker 6 (24:21):
I yes, I don't like the I don't like the
use of that term. And I think that modern day
is the way to make an out over it. Not
that they're there, Yeah, it's just it's it's not good.
It's not good to say those things. It doesn't make sense,
it's not applicable. I think it offends the history that

(24:41):
you're referencing.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
Yeah, defends it. Honestly, it offends everybody. Yes, it really
offends everybody.

Speaker 6 (24:49):
No one wants to noone wants to hear that from
a thirteen million dollar athlete.

Speaker 1 (24:54):
No no, no, no, no, no. All right, coming on
next to the Doug Gottlieb Show here on the on
Fox Sports Radio. Here's we're gonna do. Wait on, b
John Robinson, We're gonna take a quick break. Okay, he's
gonna join us. Then we'll get you to the press
all the big stories of the day, not just who's
moved where, but what does it mean in the NBA?

(25:14):
And we'll continue to get you. Ready, there is an
illness running around one of the two teams, or is
there I think Dan has a co conspiracy theory.

Speaker 3 (25:24):
I do you do?

Speaker 1 (25:26):
We'll get to that up coming next Thanks for listening
to The Doug Gotlieb Show podcast. Be sure to catch
us live every weekday three to five Eastern twelve two
Pacific on Fox Sports Radio. Find your local station for
The Doug Gottlieb Show at Foxsports Radio dot com, or
stream us live every day on the iHeartRadio app by

(25:48):
And this is fun. I actually think that I have
the second best job today, right yeah? No, no, no,
no no. Tyler Aljiers joining us, and so is b
John Robinson, two studs and they're downing these wings as if.
Have you guys not eaten today?

Speaker 2 (26:05):
No?

Speaker 1 (26:05):
Or do you guys have to eat at like every stop?

Speaker 2 (26:07):
No? All you haven't. So these are these are perfect?

Speaker 3 (26:11):
So have you hear some Mesmr?

Speaker 1 (26:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (26:13):
This is why? You know what's you know?

Speaker 1 (26:14):
It's you know, it's weird? Right? So? Uh, I was
I was a big twelve guy. I play basketball Oklham
State and it was cut. You don't even be twelve anymore.

Speaker 3 (26:23):
So you had to work.

Speaker 1 (26:24):
So, but like it's really the last twenty five years
that wings have been this big a thing. Really, yes,
like we used to like when you go watch the
game back in the day, I think sliders, hot dogs, pizza, pizza.
The wing thing was like right when I was coming
out of college. It became big.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
But but uh, that's pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (26:46):
I got I got a bunch of stuff to ask
you Bejon, Tyler. Let's let's Byjon. Let's let's start with, uh,
do you did you get to keep the Lamborghini?

Speaker 2 (26:56):
Yeah, but it's still back in the Austin though.

Speaker 3 (27:00):
Is your name?

Speaker 1 (27:00):
Is your name on the title?

Speaker 2 (27:02):
The name's not on the title, But it's like every
time I go, they're like, here, this is yours, man. Yeah,
it's something like that.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
Oh yeah, Tyler, you do do you?

Speaker 3 (27:11):
Is that?

Speaker 1 (27:12):
Does that mean it's his car? That does not mean
it's his car? Right, it doesn't mean it's his car.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
And there's and there's the and there's a company car
too for the for the Mustard. So there's a yellow
Lamborghini that's the Mustards.

Speaker 1 (27:23):
Yeah. The only okay, the only other part too, it
is you can't really be inconspicuous rolling back to Austin
if you're driving a Lambeau, right, yeah, literally everyone will know.

Speaker 2 (27:34):
They will you're here, they will. Yeah. It's and then
on top of that, like it's not really tinted too much.
Yeah they have darker windows, but it's not really tinted,
so like they're gonna just look and be like, Okay.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
I mean I listen. I mean who am I? I
haven't driven a Lamborghini, so I don't know what.

Speaker 2 (27:50):
That which is?

Speaker 1 (27:50):
Okay, Tyler Knight, the nicest car you've ever driven.

Speaker 3 (27:58):
Gots to be b m w b m w.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
No, do you uh like the q Wagon the boxing one?

Speaker 2 (28:16):
We haven't touch.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
So what what is the l like to drive?

Speaker 2 (28:20):
What do you drive?

Speaker 1 (28:21):
Huh? I have a I have a one of those hummervs.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
Okay, yeah, I mean it's it's really just driving like
kind of anything. It's just it's not like driving anything
out outside, so like just how you drive it.

Speaker 1 (28:33):
But like I understand, it's gona steering wheel and then.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
It takes off very fast, so you gotta you gotta
gradually get into it. You can't just put your foot
on the gas because it'll yank you and you gotta
like you kind of kind of momentum yourself into it,
and then when it slows down, it breaks hard. So
you need to you need to like very gently put
your put your foot on the on the brake because
if not, it'll it'll make you fly. Everybody in there fly.

(28:58):
But it's it's a very explosive car. I'll tell you that.

Speaker 1 (29:01):
Tyler Jeer and be shonn Robinson joining us here, Doug
Gottlieb show Fox Sports trait joining us on half of bounty.
That's why they're eating wings because you can't have football
without wings. You can't have wings without bounty, without bounty.

Speaker 2 (29:13):
It's like this wing man right here, like this is
my wing man, hey always.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
I know he's I know he's your wing man. But
like the bounty thing, you guys also can't get anything
on those bounty jackets. You have the like as much
as you have the paper towels. You can't get anything
on the jacket. That's an art tiler. You did very
well consider how hungry you were, and not get anything
on it.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
I'm keeping the jacket, actually think that I do. I'm
rocking this.

Speaker 1 (29:37):
How would you characterize your year?

Speaker 7 (29:39):
I thought it was really good.

Speaker 2 (29:41):
That was really good.

Speaker 7 (29:41):
I think I think uh wait, as personally or as
a team.

Speaker 1 (29:45):
Either, it's it's what's called an opening of neutral question.
You take whichever way you want.

Speaker 7 (29:49):
Bro, let's go, uh, let's go the team. I felt
like we were really close. We were really close, and
then but you were we were better than the past
three years. So I think that's a that's a great improvement.

Speaker 3 (29:59):
But just we just need to.

Speaker 7 (30:01):
Work on just being want to know every week, and
then I think they'll get us to what are what
the end goal is.

Speaker 1 (30:06):
Did you know that Kirk was hurt? Because Kirk came
out and was like, now it's hurt, that's what happened.

Speaker 2 (30:10):
No, man, I didn't. I mean the thing with Kirk
is like he's a he's a super tough dude. So
you know, I had no idea. So he just let
it ride, let it rock out, and you know we
thought we were good with it too. But you know,
obviously you don't know what's going on internally with the player.
Uh but I mean he said it yesterday, but hey,
I mean, it's football. You gotta be tough.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
You can't really When Pennix came in for a bunch
of young dudes. What's that like to have that energy
come into your locker room?

Speaker 7 (30:38):
I feel like, uh sure, I thought that was pretty good.
I felt like he already prepared himself to be a
starter right when he came in. So I think having
Kirk has a great veteran to look to take him
under his wing, and then whenever, whenever his time came,
he ended up just flourishing.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
So I think, uh, no doubt.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
People have talked about the ball that Pennix throws. Yeah,
describe it as somebody who has to catch it.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
I mean I like catching it honestly because I'm a
lefty too, so you know, I'm kind of used to
like those lefty spins.

Speaker 1 (31:09):
But so it spins different.

Speaker 2 (31:11):
Yeah, it spins different. It does. It's I mean a
spind like the spindle of the football is the same thing,
and it's just the other way. You still got to
catch it. But I mean he throws it, he gets
it to where it needs to be, like he gets
it in the pocket.

Speaker 3 (31:25):
God, you got you got, you.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
Got you got in. Robinson joined his Stug Gottley show
Fox Sports Radio. Uh a year and a half ago.
Before the season, there was a lot of talk about
running backs getting contract to getting that big second contract, right,
and all these guys switch places and then they all

(31:51):
have great years. What's that feel like to be a
young running back and see that happen?

Speaker 2 (31:56):
I mean it's it's great, man like just seeing you know.
It was but three years ago when when this whole
talk started of like should you pay running back, should
do running backs matter? All that, blah blah. I mean
it was all like just you know, opinions honestly, but
you know, to see where it's at now and to
see how much it's grown, and now you can now
we now teams have two running backs are that are

(32:18):
you know, playing at super high levels and that that
are effective no matter what where the game is or
no matter what situation it is, like you have, I
mean for us, like we obviously we have Tyler and myself,
and you know we're just doing things that you know
used to be like one guy can do Now two
guys can do it as well. And I mean this
running back is growing, This position is going crazy, and

(32:40):
I think there's a lot of great guys in it
and obviously, like it's only going to continue to grow
from from heres on.

Speaker 1 (32:44):
Tyler I have a I have a theory Sakuon Barkley
is actually an X Men Like jumping over dudes backwards
in a gamel is not something that normal human beings
can do. So do you think he's really a mutant?

Speaker 3 (33:01):
I would say so, Yeah, he's insane.

Speaker 1 (33:04):
That Like if Congress, if Congress ever has those like
uh those mutant trials like they have in the X
Men movies, Like, I would expect him to be called
before Congress.

Speaker 2 (33:15):
Due that dude definitely has the play of the year
that was insane.

Speaker 7 (33:18):
Like insane because it's not like he got stopped right
there now still he's still getting an extra comes.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
Fun jump backwards and still got cads.

Speaker 1 (33:26):
I was like, all right, and that's that's post knee injury.

Speaker 2 (33:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (33:29):
Crazy, Yeah, to that point, we all awe over that
move as running backs. What do you guys appreciate like
when you see somebody that thug or I wouldn't see
like that. You're like, all right there and we wouldn't know,
but you know to good eye what what what you know?

Speaker 3 (33:45):
Snaps with you guys in that way.

Speaker 2 (33:47):
Shoot, well, first of all, I mean, obviously you can't
discredit's abilities and his guy giving abilities and his talent
and what he does. But I mean, this man has
an incredible old line too. Like, man, them dudes like
create the most insane whole. Yeah, and I mean obviously
you can see what happens in one year last year

(34:09):
for him, and then fast forward this year and it's
completely different. So that's why I appreciate our O line
and what, you know, what they've done for us, because
I think it's really important to have a good line
to want to be successful and to want to run
how you want to run, and have those kind of
spaces and things like that to use your gifts. But yeah, man,
I mean he's he's changing for sure.

Speaker 1 (34:30):
I'm gonna pause beforehand. But you have a little whole envy,
That's what I'm Tyler Isaiah Pacheco. On the other side,
that guy he runs like you're holding down the turbo
button like, bro, slow down. But Bro, that's a that's
a very unique running style.

Speaker 2 (34:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (34:52):
I'd never say anything like it.

Speaker 3 (34:53):
No, not at all.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
How does he do that?

Speaker 7 (34:58):
I couldn't tell you because he the way the way
he just gets out, but like is just automatically yes
out yes, So like it's.

Speaker 1 (35:05):
Just a sprinter out of the out of the block,
as soon as he gets as soon as he.

Speaker 3 (35:08):
Gets the ball. Yeah, no, it's crazy.

Speaker 2 (35:10):
I think that's a cool way to run, like even
though they even put his running style on Madden, which
is which is wild. Actually yeah, like he's running like
himself and Madden. But I think like it's good. It's
good for him because he can still control his body.
He can still control himself because obviously when you see
him unning, think he's way out of control. But now,
I man, he's still be making cuts, he still be
making people miss. So that's that's pretty cool too.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
I just say we learned that he plays as somebody
other than himself, and that that's yes, that's I do.

Speaker 7 (35:36):
Aren't you aren't you in eighty seven?

Speaker 2 (35:38):
Yeah? Ninety? It's kind of cool.

Speaker 1 (35:41):
That is that is it is? That is that that
is kind of wait wait to check me, Brenn, don't
Tyler real quick?

Speaker 3 (35:49):
All right?

Speaker 1 (35:49):
Your wings of like you're gonna order wings more than
ship bull? What's the wing order?

Speaker 3 (35:55):
Gotta go?

Speaker 7 (35:56):
Twenty twenty piece twenty piece lemon pepper traditional traditional or
boneless traditional good From where from where?

Speaker 3 (36:06):
Wings up?

Speaker 1 (36:06):
Sty wings out? Fries stop? Wings out? Fries hot all right,
bijon real quick your wing order.

Speaker 2 (36:17):
I'm gonna go because this is for more than myself.
So I'm probably gonna go like fifty yes, okay, and
I'm gonna go half lemon pepper, half buffalo, and I'm
getting an insane amount of celeryes.

Speaker 1 (36:30):
From wing stop Uh blue cheese or wrench ranch Ranch?
Good good call.

Speaker 2 (36:36):
Whoever says blue cheese kick them off the stage.

Speaker 1 (36:38):
I just I can't. I can't do the blue cheese.
You're very cannot. I cannot do the blue chee. Hey man,
congrats on a great year, fellaws.

Speaker 3 (36:44):
I appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
You can't do football without wings, and you can't do
wings with there. You go make sure you guys don't
get any spots on those those jackets.

Speaker 3 (36:54):
Gotta keep them green vintage.

Speaker 1 (36:56):
Next year, you gotta bring the jackets for the host.
That's what you gotta. You gotta bring the jacket got
uh real quick. Yes, I don't think he owns the
Lamborghini just because he can drive the Lamborghini.

Speaker 3 (37:07):
Oh no no.

Speaker 1 (37:07):
The only thing now, the only thing is he doesn't
have to If he doesn't own it, he doesn't have
to insure it. So there is a bonus to that.
There is a benefit of that. Sure, that's that's a
that's a Austin education right there. That that's that's what
that is. It's a god leave show here live from
U the Tiracket, Tyler.

Speaker 3 (37:22):
I'm a big, big fan of your plays.

Speaker 1 (37:24):
Appreciate it. That was fun. Uh.

Speaker 3 (37:28):
By the way, l Gerald just truck you like he will,
like he's.

Speaker 1 (37:32):
That's like a thundering light That's like a thunder and
lightning right there.

Speaker 4 (37:35):
Right.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
Plus they guy like panics can run too. Like that's
a dynamic backfield.

Speaker 3 (37:39):
Yeah, they've got They've got weapons everywhere. They really do.
And that's why so many people picked them.

Speaker 6 (37:45):
For as much as the Kirk Cousins and Acquisition people
thought was gonna put them over the top, they're not
at the top of the division because of Kirk Cousins.

Speaker 3 (37:53):
They're because of those two guys.

Speaker 6 (37:54):
They're because of of Drake London, because of Darnel Mooney.
I know Kyle Pitts is kind of bit a bit
of an enigma throughout his career. But like they had
everything in Atlanta.

Speaker 1 (38:04):
They have they have some guests there, they have some
have some dudes there. Okay, real quick. The podcast will
be live at the top of the hour. Make sure
you download it wherever you download podcasts, and if you
want to check us out in the YouTube channel you
can't remember Fox Sports Radio on YouTube. NBA trade deadline
has come and gone. The Lakers every shuffled the deck.
That's the big news of the week. Kevin Durant stayed

(38:26):
in Phoenix. Some dysfunction there. Jimmy Butler is a member
of the Warriors. It could have been Kevin Durant, but
Kevin Rant said, Nah, I don't want to do what
everybody wants me to do and would be wildly popular. Instead,
I'll just be Kevin Durant and somehow be miserable in Phoenix.
There's there's never been a more Kevin Durant move than that, right.
I think you said that the other day.

Speaker 6 (38:46):
He does what people don't want him to do, and
he'll do and what people want him to do, you
won't do.

Speaker 3 (38:52):
That makes any sense?

Speaker 1 (38:54):
It makes sense, U sense?

Speaker 6 (38:55):
Yes, It's like my three year old, please pick up
your toys, and then he won't for an hour, and
then he'll go upstairs and go to ben.

Speaker 3 (39:01):
Then he'll come back and he'll pick up his toys.

Speaker 6 (39:03):
Yeah, yeah, what he should be sleeping, by the way,
you should be sleeping in that time.

Speaker 3 (39:08):
That's the way it is.

Speaker 1 (39:09):
Dan's venting a little bit here now he's gotten KEVI.
Of course you do. Okay, we'll keep you updated here
on the waste Management Open obviously one of the most
entertaining golf turns the ear. And tomorrow we'll have our
picks for the Super Bowl, not just uh against the
line and the total, but we'll each pick a prop

(39:31):
bet that we like best as part of the camber.
So that's all tomorrow from the super Bowl. This has
