I mean that's how bad it is.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
What what do you think caused this? Did you all
of a sudden have an empty nester. What happened to
trigger this?

Speaker 4 (01:17):
That's kind of why I'm calling, because I just I
think for some people they hit an age and they
just start to feel maybe like they're losing you know,
they're losing out on life.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Well, I wonder if this has happened to you know, Look,
we can have other others call just to help you
out with it.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Do you think you'll take him back right now?

Speaker 3 (01:36):
No?

Speaker 4 (01:37):
And there's nothing in nothing in him that wants to
be like a husband and all that stuff. He wants
to be like, you know, playing the field.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
Okay, say he does this for about a year and
then he's tired of it, would you take him back then?

Speaker 4 (01:51):
Yes? If he showed true like change and true like remorse,
I mean I would. I would.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
I saw I saw pictures of you and your brother
in the backseat of the car driven around by your
mom and dad, and I thought, that's a dream.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
That is a dream for a parent, and as a kid,
that's a.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
Dream for a kid, as an adult kid anyway, you know,
our kids go through phases. But now, if I could
get in the back seat with my mom and dad driving,
I would be heaven.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Honestly, and I would literally be in heaven.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
But yeah, it's just such a great, a great, a
great feeling when your parents are driving you around and
then you're with your brother.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
I know, it felt like, look, I'm forty four, Kevin's
forty two. I mean it felt like we were twelve
and ten again. You know, we were driving to a
Cubs game through the city, and it's like, could this.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Moment be any more perfect?

Speaker 2 (03:21):
And as a mother who is obsessed with her son
the way you are healthily obsessed, I would say thank you.
You'll love this, okay, because I know. Look, Calvin just
got his masters from Stanford and he's off to like work.

Speaker 7 (03:32):
Yeah, he's got a job.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Next day he was at work.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
He's at work and he's not in La anymore. And
I'm not trying to make you sad, no, but he's
a flight away. Yeah, so you're gonna need this. A
new study finds that chatting with your mom on the
phone is as comforting to our bodies as getting a
real hug from her. Oh so this comes from the
University of Wisconsin, Madison. They pulled men and women. Those
who heard their mom's voice, whether face to face or

(03:57):
on the phone, showed higher oxytocin, lower cortisol, all the
good things.

Speaker 7 (04:00):
Their stress levels dropped to which is the same effect
as a hug.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
I love that.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Yeah, guess what, Calvin, I'm sorry, she's dialing right now.

of impassion calls this morning about the midlife crisis Colleen's
husband is going through.

Speaker 7 (04:37):
You want to go to Marquisa.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Yeah, what do you think Colleen should do? Colleen's husband
is hitter? I mean like a real single patch.

Speaker 5 (04:45):
Well you know what, Colleen, If I were you, I
would find something I could do with my husband, something more.
Maybe we can go out, spark some old fun, do
some good activities with him, make him feel young again
so he doesn't feel like he's alone.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Ah, I see. So he's going his own way. But
you're saying go along with it.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
If he's getting on a motorcycle, get on a motorcycle.

Speaker 5 (05:09):

Speaker 6 (05:29):
Yeah, you go to my morning Coast one O three
point five.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
I found the certificate for my husband for perfect attendance
in school. Took the photo of it. I'll post it
artificial ellen k. But he got perfect attendance in elementary
school and he lived across the street from the school,
but his mom would never let him have any kind
of day off, not even for special holidays or anything.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
If his Marty guard You're going to school.

Speaker 7 (05:56):
Those six days, though, guys, remember like being at home
watching the prices.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Right, yea, they're very kids should have that.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
Yeah, And Colleen, thank you for calling to so you
say that your kids have also had perfect attendance.

Speaker 8 (06:11):
Yep, for many, many years, both my kids did. But
then I was just saying, I think it's more important
to spend time with the family at times. I'm very
proud of those awards that I got. But now I'm
a little bit older and I thought, oh, man, I
should have gone to the park with the kids, or
I should have gone to the beach, or you've done

(06:31):
something with them special. Just to be with them and
enjoy the time with them, I mean, very important. Of course,
I always thought being at school. It's just like for
me being at work, very very important. So you know,
we all need those mental health days to be able
to spend time with family.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
So you wish if you could go back in time,
you would pull your kids out of school, go to
the beach, you know, maybe not make it so that
it's so they don't get perfect at ten time, because
it's more important to be together.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
I think.

Speaker 8 (07:02):
So, I really really do believe that.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
Well, Colleen, do not beat yourself up over it. I mean,
I'm sure you're an amazing mother and we can all
do that. Look, we can all have hindsight and say, oh,
I should have, I would have, I could have. But
I'm sure your kids love you and everything is great.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
Absolutely absolutely.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
We have to live in the moment.

Speaker 8 (07:26):
But I just want to give that advice to, you know,
maybe some of the young parents out there now who
are stressing and trying to get everything done in the life,
just to let them know that it is okay to take.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
A break and even like for themselves.

Speaker 8 (07:41):
Go ahead and send the kids to schools and take
a break for yourself.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Yeah, totally, that's a good one. Colleen. Thank you so
much for for your feel good Thank you.

Speaker 6 (07:51):
Thank you very very much.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
I love you, guys.

Speaker 8 (07:53):
I listen all of all the time, and you've picked
up my phone.

Speaker 5 (07:55):
Calls a couple of times and I appreciate you guys.

Speaker 8 (07:58):

every morning.

Speaker 7 (08:02):

Speaker 6 (08:06):
It's the llen k Morning Show.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
I mean, he's feels so good this morning. Thank you
post one three point bis.

Speaker 3 (08:13):
You know, it's so fun when you arrive early at
your place of work like we do, and there aren't
a lot of cars in the parking garage, and then
everyone's kind of like either showing up or they're getting
out of their car.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
Do you wait for the person? Do you not?

Speaker 3 (08:28):
Like a lot of us are rushing up to our
morning shows, right. But I feel bad because sometimes I'll
see my friend Nick, who works down the hall, and
he'll he's across the other way and he's got to
walk over to the elevator and I'll be right right there.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
I don't know. Do I wait while he does the walk?

Speaker 3 (08:46):
Does he walks slower because he doesn't want to ride
with me because it's early in the morning, you don't
want to talk yet.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
There is one guy here that works here that I
will wait in my car if I see him walking
to the elevator, because he's very fun early in the morning.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
Okay, I talk to I know who that is. You
don't want to neither, do you? Right?

Speaker 3 (09:06):
And if you take the stairs when they take the elevator,
then chances are you're still going to be in the
next elevator with them because we have like a three
swipe thing going on here.

Speaker 7 (09:14):
But that it's a good question.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
Now, what is elevator etiquette? Or if someone's on the
elevator and I have my dog?

Speaker 1 (09:21):
Yeah, do I go on?

Speaker 5 (09:25):
Or do I just do?

Speaker 7 (09:26):
I always automatically just go. I'll take the next one.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
What do you do?

Speaker 1 (09:29):
What would you do with a dog? I just get on?
But a lot of people don't like it. Again, what
if they're afraid of the dog? And you know, then yeah,
then you have to wait. But you could be waiting
a long time.

Speaker 7 (09:37):
I could be because we have two elevators in a
pretty busy can't.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
You take the stairs? You're on the second floor. I'm
on the third shoe? Oh, Ryan, geez.

Speaker 6 (09:49):
The l K Morning Show.

Speaker 4 (09:50):
You guys do a great job, and thank you for
starting my morning every day. I appreciate you all so much.

your hair. It swings so nicely when you dance. She
got like a blunt cut, a new haircut, and then
she just wrote back, ha ha ha, thank you.
