I want you guys to take your pick. I have
a really cool brick story or a really cool fish story.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
I'm gonna vote fish. I knew you would fish.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
I do love to go fishing.

Speaker 10 (07:18):
Okay, so it's not about fishing. We're gonna go with
the fish story. It's about an aquarium fish. So let
me just set the tone really quick. The fish's name
is Methusella, and she is in San Francisco. She is
the oldest living fish in a zoological setting. However, you

(07:38):
say that and you will never believe how old she is.
She's at the Steinhart Aquarium. She got there in nineteen
What year do you.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
Think, Gosh, how long do fish live? I would guess
nineteen eighty.

Speaker 4 (07:52):
Okay, okay, I'm gonna go way older than that, because
the oldest living human in Japan is one hundred and
nineteen I'm gonna say one hundred and twenty.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Okay.

Speaker 10 (08:02):
So she arrived in nineteen thirty eight. Al Capone was
locked up in Alcatraz. The Golden gate Bridge had been
less than a year old, and Willie Mays was six
years old. Oh she is ninety years old.

Speaker 13 (08:14):
And she's a fish.

Speaker 10 (08:15):
And it's a fish that likes belly rubs. Oh my god,
it's an Australian lungfish. It's a really long looking fish
and she looks forward to her daily belly rubs. She's
at the aquarium. She's they take really good care of her.
And she was on the San Francisco Chronicle and I
was like, this just made.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
Me smile so big.

Speaker 10 (08:37):
I knew you guys would love this still.

Speaker 2 (08:38):

Speaker 5 (11:05):
Is that the same person who because I've heard you
say this, but not in a serious way. I go, yeah,
I'll try, and you go, you know what this person
you say trying in place failure?

Speaker 12 (11:26):
I moved to Wisconsin for a few months a few
years ago, and my daughter was in her old school
and we went down this back road that was thirty
five miles an hour and I was going like fifty.
I got pulled over because I was arguing with my
daughter because she had stinky armpits. Oh no, And the consaid,

(11:46):
are you kidding me right now? And I said no,
We were seriously arguing about it. And she says, young lady,
go home and take a shower. You slow down. She
hates that. I tell everybody this story.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
Imagine being an officer of the law. The excuse is
you must here. We want to hear from officers.

Speaker 4 (12:13):
Of the law because we're hearing from a lot of
people have used a lot of stuff on them and.

Speaker 5 (12:51):

Speaker 2 (12:51):
Boy?

Speaker 9 (12:52):
Well? Had I worked at a local hospital and I
had worked all night and then I got home and
they called me back in and I told him I
couldn't come in because, oh my god, my gardener just
had a heart attack and I can't leave.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
Was wait, do you made it all up? Yeah?

Speaker 8 (13:13):
I did.

Speaker 7 (13:20):
Wow, I just didn't want to come in.

Speaker 9 (13:22):
I worked twelve hours. I didn't want to come back in.
They could hire somebody, you know, bring somebody else in.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
Hey did they?

Speaker 9 (13:30):
Obviously they did because I didn't go in right?

Speaker 2 (13:34):
And then did you go back to that job?

Speaker 5 (13:36):
Oh?

Speaker 9 (13:36):
But of course? Yeah, But I don't work there anymore.
I haven't worked there in like three or four years,
So that's okay.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
Jerry, how did you arrive at that. Excuse help us
understand that thought process because I.

Speaker 9 (13:47):
Work in ers all the time and heart attacks just happened.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
When you learn Darling, it's Mariah Carey.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Hi, this is so Richard Brown. So this is Adam
Levine and you're listening.

Speaker 6 (14:00):

Morning Show on coast on three point.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
Five Coast one of three point five.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
All right, talking about girl code broke code?

Speaker 4 (14:11):
Just code, code is manners, code is respect, and you
have an unspoken code with someone.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
It's just it's a line you don't cross.

Speaker 5 (14:21):
Yeah, every what year six months? Here we get these
e learnings that we have to do. Your code of conduct.
It's a code, right, Hey, remember how to be around people.

Speaker 4 (14:32):
A lot of people here need to be reminded. So, Monica,
did someone break code?

Speaker 8 (14:41):
Oh yeah, my sister did me really dirty. When I
was first dating my husband, now my husband, I told
my sister. She was the first person I called. I said,
oh my gosh, I just met the man I'm going
to marry. This is him. And she was all on board,
telling me how lucky I was. You're so happy for Hi.
He went to her a few months into our relationship

(15:03):
and said, Hey, I want to get your sister a
promise ring, and I just wanted you to help me
pick it out. You know, do you think she would
like it? And my sister told him, no, I think
that would scare her away.

Speaker 9 (15:16):
You shouldn't do that, but you wanted it.

Speaker 5 (15:20):
Oh.

Speaker 8 (15:20):
I had told her I would have married him the
day I met him. I just knew he was the one,
and it was so heartbreaking when I found out, like
years later that she did that. I was like, Okay,
that's not cool. Not okay.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
What happened with the guy? Did you get the promise ring?

Speaker 8 (15:36):
He never gave me a promise ring because he was
afraid of scaring me off. But it took a few
years and we moved in together and he was like, okay,
can I tell you something and he told me what
had happened, and he's like, I just you know, didn't
want to scare your way. And we ended up getting
engaged instead, which is nice. And so now he's been
married for nine years.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
But do you and your sister have a good relationship?

Speaker 12 (15:57):
Now?

Speaker 8 (15:58):
I thought we had a good, really relationship, but I
think she's.

Speaker 9 (16:01):
Just a little jealous.

Speaker 8 (16:02):
Even now that I know that happened. I just know
that's what it was. Oh, I don't know. We were
just okay, but you know we're not besties anymore because
I know she could do that.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
I got no kidding.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
Well, I'm glad you got the guy.

Speaker 8 (16:17):
I got the guy. Happy ending forgive but never forget.
Oh yes, absolutely, we love you.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
Thank you for listening, Thanks for having us on on
your ride.

Speaker 8 (16:26):
Of course, thank you.

Speaker 12 (16:27):
Guys.

Speaker 7 (16:28):
It's the Ellenk Morning Show on Coast one oh three
point five and there's mar coming up. Take the ellen
K Morning Show with you everywhere. Make us a preset
on your iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 4 (16:37):
We got to talk back from a listener, Mark, who
said his buddy's wife hit on him. They're so close
they have keys to each other's house as he went
to retrieve a hat he had left there over the
weekend and he was in the house alone with his
buddy's wife when she made the direct hit.

Speaker 1 (16:54):
Yeah, this happened to a friend of yours, right with
the towel girl.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
Yes, okay, so.

Speaker 4 (17:02):
Married couple, there's a girl who wants to get with
the married guy. Right, she's single, So they're good friends
at work, he says, while you're moving you know, you're
in transition. You can spend a couple of nights at
our house. So she said, great, because I can't move

(17:23):
into my new place for two days. So I really
appreciate that she stayed in the guest room. In the morning,
my friend walked into the kitchen and there's her husband
cooking breakfast for the girl we're talking about, who was
sitting at the table only wearing a tiny towel, a
tiny towel, just flirting up a storm, like really trying

(17:47):
to entice this guy.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
Oh my yeah.

Speaker 4 (17:50):
And so my friend said, you're not going to stay
here again another night, and you'll put some clothes on
and uh yeah. So they ended up not only did
it in a friendship, but it also ruined the guy's
chances of getting with the single girl.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
Yeah forever.

Speaker 4 (18:06):
Yes, but let's go to Mark soil Mark. Are you
one hundred percent sure that she's flirting with you? Is
there any way that you misunderstood?

Speaker 6 (18:16):
No, she was, Yeah, she was pretty direct, Like I
got the Uh, I got the point pretty fast.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
Oh okay, can you can you tell us what she said?
I mean, we can bleep it if it's X rated.

Speaker 6 (18:32):
I mean, just making really direct comments about me physically,
I guess, and kind of like very touchy feely, you know, yeah, yeah,
huh oh.

Speaker 4 (18:47):
