Fischer Blasts Biden for Actions on Israel

Senator, good morning, but it'sI'm still astonished at the President's action regarding
providing the munitions that Israel says theyneed to prosecute this war against Hamas you've
spoken out pretty strongly against this.Have there been any changes over the weekend
as far as you know, thebombs that they need are still being withheld,

as I understand it right they are. They are Gary the president,
he's betraying Israel because he thinks it'sgoing to help him get re elected in
November. And you talk about thehypocrisy here. He spoke to a group
that gathered to celebrate or to rememberthe Holocaust. When he did that speech

before the group, and then afterthat the same time, he was suppressing
news that he had paused the shipmentsof munitions. You know, when we're
trying to remember never again, Neveragain. The president and all he's focused
on is getting re elected, andhe's really just pandering. He's pandering to

his far left base. Yes,and that's the subject of an impeachment,
an impeachment attempt in the House ofRepresentatives. Do you think that's warranted?
Now, that'll be up to theHouse to decide it. But I think

again. It just shows the hypocrisythat we're seeing from the Democrats. All
Democrats, they impeach President Trump becausehe withheld funding from Ukraine, but now
that they're anti Semitic base, theirfar left base wants to cozy up to
Jumas. Democratic parties fine with it. They're fine with the President withholding that

military aid from one of our strongestallies and truly our strongest ally in the
Middle East, who has been withus and we have been with them in
fighting terrorism. And the Democrats arejust a bunch of hypocrites over this.
You know. I asked this questionSenator Ficier last week and Jim says the
answer is as simple as well.The Commander in chief can do what he

wants. But I want to getsome clarity on this. The Congress authorized
this expenditure for this specific purpose tosend these weapons to Israel. Does the
Congress have nothing to say about whetherthat gets done or not after you appropriate
the money? Right, we authorizedit, we appropriated it. The President

put it on pause. He hasn'tuh, he hasn't said he is.
He is ending it completely, soI think that's his way around it.
But yeah, we're continuing to presshim on that on the Republican side,
where we're we're looking at a newlegislation. We continue to try to get

this out before the media so thatpeople all around this country can understand what
he's doing and put pressure on himin that way. You know, Joe
Biden, he has made tremendous foreignpolicy mistakes throughout his long long career as
as senator and now as a president. He didn't he didn't want to go

after Ben Laden when he was vicepresident. He did. He did a
horrible, horrible job in his chaoticwithdrawal in Afghanistan, and we saw thirteen
American soldiers die because of that.Our allies didn't know what we were doing
on that. I mean, thisguy has made mistakes throughout his career,

and this is just another one whenhe's withholding weapons that Israel needs to survive
as a nation and he's withholding him. So we are going to continue to
pressure him on that. Do youhave any allies on that effort on the
other side of the aisle, Youknow, we do. We do.

There's some House members I know onthe Democrat side, and we have John
Fetterman and the United States Senate whoyou know, God bless him. He
is standing up and he is speakinghis mind, and he is very,
very strong in his views. Iknow he took a lot of flak when
he first got into the Senate.I served with him on the Egg Committee,

and I just admire him for buckinghis party, bucking his base,
and speaking the truth to him.Yeah, it needs to be more.
I mean, I'm so. It'sso disgusting to me the stance that the
majority of Leader Schumer has taken.He's the most prominent Jewish politician in this

country elected official, and he isjust for sheer partisanship, is turning his
back on Israel. It's unbelievable tome. It's unbelievable. Shameful. Yeah,
it is. It is shameful,you know. And and in Nebraska
as well, we hear from ourRepublican leaders here in Nebraska. I haven't

heard too much from the other side. Yeah, I don't. I really
don't understand it. So I wouldlike to hear if the President ever appears
before reporters again, ask the specificquestion, mister President, the Hamas terrorists,

the remaining Hamas terrorists are hiding inthese cities for a reason behind their
civilians and in hospitals and schools andso on. What do you expect Israel
to do to defeat them if theydon't have the munitions they need to do
it? And to hear what hisanswer would be to that. It would
probably be incoherent, but I wouldat least like to hear it. You

know, well I would too.You know, we see the Israeli forces.
They are repeatedly telling civilians that theyneed to move, they need to
evacuate air is so they're not harmedby potential military operations. We all know
that Hamas hides behind civilians. Likeyou said, they're in hospitals, they're

in schools, they're in neighborhoods.They are using the people that they live
with, the civilians as human shields. So that's to have the president say
and continue to put pressure on Israelthat you can't do this, you can't
do this, you can't do this, you can't go in and invade Rafa,

which is Hamas's last stronghold. I'dlike to hear his answer for it,
because we know that the Israelis areable to get the word out and
have civilians move, and you know, and when we look at what the
president wants to wants to stop shipmentsof the munitions that they want to stop.

Those are the precision guided munitions that'sgoing to reduce collateralge that's going to
help the Israelis to only go afterKamas. And you know, if he's
so concerned about protecting civilians, whyis he stopping the shipment of those munitions.
Well, it was interesting. TheSecretary of State Blinken was on Face

the Nation yesterday and he said,no, no, no, they're getting
the precision guided munitions, but they'renot getting these what I can't remember the
name of the big bombs, twothousand pound bombs. And then Tom Cotton,
the Senator, your colleague from Arkansas, I said, we don't have
any idea what this president's going tohold up because he's contradicted Blncoln before.
