Richie Mo'unga will remain in Japan after New Zealand Rugby’s bid to get him out of his Toshiba contract failed. 

It comes after months of speculation as to whether the star first five will return to the All Blacks in 2025. 

Piney caught up with Newstalk ZB’s voice of rugby Elliott Smith to find out what's been going on between NZR, Scott Robertson, and Richie Mo'unga up to this point.
