A teenager named Sidney Gueis from Evansville, Innie, Indiana, my hometown,
says she looked on as her momworks for organizations centered around helping women dealing
with domestic violence for years. Soas Sydney got older, she wanted to
help too, and she recently starteda special program that serves a special need.
Sydney noticed that many donations were focusedon things like hygiene products, without

a lot of stuff for kids.So Sydney started putting together birthday boxes.
It includes cake mix icing, toys, and even handwritten cards from elementary school
students, and then she handled deliversthe supplies to the domestic violent shelters.
