Essie Davis: I just had to play Bunny King after reading script - The Sunday Session with Francesca Rudkin

The Sunday Session with Francesca Rudkin

Australian actress Essie Davis earned international attention with her unforgettable performance in the 2014 movie The Babadook.
Since then Davis has famously appeared as Phryne Fisher in Miss Fishers Murder Mysteries, Lady Crane in Game of Thrones and Ned Kelly’s mother in the True History of the Kelly Gang.
She has a new movie coming to cinemas, The Justice of Bunny King, where Davis plays lead role, Bunny King.
Davis says she knew she had to play the role as soon as she read the script.
"It's a really important story, that's telling the story of so many women around the world in Western societies, who are let down by the system and are really just trying to make ends meet and be the best parent they possibly can."
The Justice of Bunny King will be in cinemas Thursday 29 June.
