A few musical icons have been lost this week.
The Monkees star Michael Nesmith the singer-songwriter, author, actor-director and entrepreneur who will likely be best remembered as the wool-hatted, guitar-strumming member of the made-for-television rock band died at 78.
Another icon we lost was Robert Warren Dale Shakespeare, a Jamaican bass guitarist and record producer, best known as half of the reggae rhythm section and production duo Sly and Robbie with drummer Sly Dunbar.
And the Pacific Music Awards took place this week.
Jawsh 685 was one of the big winners as he took home three awards — Best Pacific Song, NZ On Air Radio Airplay Award and Streaming Award.
