Texas only forty second. Bank Rateanalyst Alex Gay says there were some positives.
Texas is a warmer state, whichcan attract retireies, and it ranked
well in terms of cost of living. A big perk going to Texas for
retirement as there's no state income tax, social security benefits, and other types

of retirement income or tax free.But Texas has some of the highest sales
and property taxes and home insurance costsin the country, and the state rated
lower for crime than many other states. Delaware was number one on the list.
