Odds-On: Election Betting Now Big Business

Election betting has become a huge industry, with several websites
devoted to posting the latest odds and taking bets on
various races. Rice political science professor Bob Stein says he
understands why some people are nervous about this phenomenon.

I think people take the betting market's more seriously, as
they do than New York Times or other publics for
public opinion polling, and they slaying people particularly, they can
convince people that their candidate may or may not win
an election, and that could suppress slow.

Return at The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission is seeking
to ban election betting, but Stein believes it's too late
for that and we're more likely to see regulation of
