Speaker 1 (00:01):
It is a scene out of a movie.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Five wildfires are raging across LA and at least two
have died. And the question now is could this be
a product of incompetency in government and DEI reforms putting
people's lives in danger and now an entire city is burning.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Well, here's what we do know. The mayor is Mia.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Karen bass is in Africa as her city burns, and
Gavin Newsom has still not called in the National Guard,
something he did do for COVID vaccine mandates. We also
have found out that they cut the fire budget by
nearly twenty million dollars. Donald Trump also putting out a

(00:44):
tweet on this, saying this Governor Gavin Newsom refused to
sign the water Restoration Declaration put before him that would
have allowed millions of gallons of water from Exos rain
and snow melt from the north to float daily into
many parts of California, including the areas that are currently
burning in a virtually apocalyptic way. He wanted to protect

(01:06):
an essentially worthless fish called a smelt by giving it
less water. It didn't work, but didn't care about the
people of California.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Now the ultimate price is being paid.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
I will demand that this incompetent governor allow beautiful, clean
fresh water to flow into California. He is to blame
for this. On top of all of it, no water
for the fire hydrants. This comes back to the second
part of the story, and that is how is there
no water coming out of the fire hydrants? Well, maybe
we could go back in time and look at Los

(01:42):
Angeles appointing their quote very first female LGBTQ plus fire
chief with a goal, not a fighting fires and protecting
people and property. No, no, no, The number one goal
was to recruit more women and gay fires.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
I am super inspired. Now.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
She took time out of her already busy schedule to
tell us about her vision for the department's future, one
that includes a three year strategic plan to increase diversity.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
People ask me, well, what number are you looking for us?
So I'm not looking for a number is never enough.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
Out of thirty three hundred city firefighters, only one hundred
and fifteen are women. Right now, she's already looking at
ways to change that. She's quick to point out that
doing so has a greater purpose attracting the best and
brightest for the job.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
They feel included. They feel valued and they feel part of.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
A cohesive team.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
But Chief also checks another box when it comes to
inclusivity and diversity and this department, she's a proud member
of the LGBTQ community.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
That just kind of opens the door of people that thought, oh,
I didn't even know that that was an opportunity.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
For me, that reporting coming from NBC for LA. Now
let's get to the fire hydrant issue of no water
coming out of those fire hydrants that Donald Trump mentioned
in his tweet. Well, now on Fox eleven NBC, they're
saying it looks like a third world country.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Take a listen.

Speaker 5 (03:06):
My heart goes out obviously that the people with their
homes and I'm watching the small businesses around us go
up in plains. You know, this is people's livelihoods. So
it's devastating. But what is most concerning to me is
our first responders, in our firefighters who are trying to
battle this. There's no water in the palatates, there's no

(03:28):
water coming out of the fire hiders. This is an
absolute mismanagement by the city, not the firefighter's fault, but
it's by the city. And I'm going to be very honest.
We've got a mayor that's out of the country, and
we've got a city that's burning and there's no resources
to put out fires. So if you look at your pictures,
you don't see the firefighters there because there's nothing they

(03:51):
can do. And it looks like we're in a third
world country here, and we've got a lot of tough
questions we need to ask the mayor and the city
council and our representatives and the county representatives. Why didn't
you work to mitigate this? What was your brush mitigation program?

(04:12):
I heard you earlier talking about it's been dry because
there hasn't been rained. That's not the biggest problem here.
The brush up in these hills that are controlled by
the city and the county. I would beg you that
if they haven't been handled, mitigated, pruned, removed for probably

(04:32):
thirty or forty years, this was a disaster waiting to happen.
And what's predictable is preventable, And who's paying the price
or all of these people in their homes and their
businesses tonight?

Speaker 2 (04:46):
You look at that reporting, this is a third world country.
So what are the takeaways? Number One in competency a
mayor that is out of the country in Africa as
this is happening. And number two, putting diversity, equity and
inclusion ahead of actually hiring the best people in a
three year plan. That is what the fire chief said
in the interview. Finally, it's also about follow the money.

(05:10):
The Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass cut the fire budget
we are now being told by twenty million dollars for
fire service for the current fiscal year and proposed.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
Even higher cuts than that.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
As The West Side Current reported back in April of
twenty twenty four, the mayor proposed a twenty three million
dollar cut in the fire department significantly, they said. The proposal,
described by Bass as a quote reset, included sixty five
million in cuts to our signature inside Safe Homelessness program
and increase of more than one hundred and thirty eight

(05:44):
million for the Los Angeles Police Department is well crime
has gone out of control, and then a cut of
about twenty three million for the LA Fire Department. So
this is what you get America when you decide to
put diversity, equity inclusion ahead.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Of actually doing your job.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
And now the people are dying and the homes and
businesses are being destroyed in La I want you to
take a listen to Jonathan Hunted Fox News Channel as
he is in Pacific Palisades talking about just how bad
things are there. There is an entire condo or apartment
building behind him that is being burned to the ground.
As he is doing this report, he is wearing a

(06:22):
mask because the smoke is so bad. He has goggles
for his eyes because the smoke is so bad.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Take a listen.

Speaker 4 (06:29):
Ongoing destruction of an entire neighborhood. As you look behind
me here the house directly in front of us was
a two story house just about an hour ago, as
you can see now reduced to nothing but rubble. And
if you look to the left is Brian Pan's left.
That is the next home down the street, a multimillion

(06:50):
dollar home, a huge home that one now completely ablaze.
Not a fire truck in site. Firefight to simply don't
have the resources right now to conte and you fighting
every one of these fires, saving every one of these properties.
It is a question of saving lives. And I want
to give you a sense of how this has gone
all day. We arrived here hours ago, these two.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
Homes were on fire.

Speaker 4 (07:14):
Then we watched as the front of these collapsed into
their front yards, and then the flames spread to the
ones we were just showing you further to the left.
It's quite an apocalyptic scene. And as you look over
as Brian spins up into the sky, you can see
the sun trying to rise there in La at what

(07:34):
is now nine in the morning, just obscured by those
intense clouds. We're seeing more walls collapse as we speak
here on this particular building. But this has been going
on now for close to twenty four hours, and it
has been an absolutely terrifying scene for so many families.
Some in the Pacific Palisades Highlands area where my daughter

(07:56):
who goes to school here by the.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
Way, has friends there.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
Family were trying to get out on what is basically
a one way in, one way out neighborhood. They were
told by firefighters, too many people are in the street,
a lot of people that abandoned their cars. The entire
street was blocked.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
So they were told go back to your homes.

Speaker 4 (08:14):
We will do our best to protect your homes from
the flames that are coming towards you, but we have
nowhere safer for you to go. So they were hunkered
down in the home, flames literally at their front door,
waiting for firefighters, who thankfully were able to eventually save them.
But you can imagine how terrifying this scene is. And
I think what is remarkable about this fire, having seen

(08:37):
so many over so many years here in southern California,
is we often travel thirty forty to fifty miles outside
of La Proper to the two areas where these fires
break out. This is in the heart of the city.
This is Pacific palis Age, a really densely packed residential neighborhood.
So these flames have just spread so quickly, dropping down

(08:58):
onto the trees, embers flying from the trees, flying onto
the roofs of homes, one home after another. As we
just showed you, it's like a domino effect. They just
keep going up in flames, up in flames, up in flames.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
Up in flames, up in flames, up in flames. To
put in perspective for you, we spent our scent more
than two hundred and fifty billion of our tax hours
to Ukraine, and yet we can't even get water to
fight the fires in California. California has spent billions on
the dumbest ideas ever high speed rail literally to nowhere,

(09:33):
equity programs which we mentioned, homeless high rises, yes, they've
built high rises for homeless people, and every LGBTQ pet
project you could imagine. But when it's time for the
government to do basic things, they can't do it. This
is the breakdown of the social contract in LA with

(09:54):
the people of LA. And these are the consequences for
voting for these woke liberal life leaders.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
Donald Trump making liberals'.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
Heads explode with some simple but big ideas, one buying
Greenland and offering statehood to Canada the nation, and also
really taking the task the Panama Canal and how they
are screwing American ships each and every time we go
through that canal.

Speaker 1 (10:21):
So let's start with that.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
What did Donald Trump actually say, Well, here are his
thoughts on the Panama Canal and what changes he is demanding.

Speaker 6 (10:31):
The deal was that you don't have to treat us fairly.
They don't treat us fairly. They charge war for our ships,
and they charged for ships of other countries. They charge
more for our navy than they charged for navies of
other countries. They laugh at us because they think we're stupid,
But we're not stupid. Anymore. So. The Panama Canal is
under discussion with them right now. They violated every aspect

(10:54):
of the agreement, and it's they morally violated it also,
and they want our help because it's leaking and not
in good repair, and they want us to give three
billion dollars to help fix it. I said, well, why
don't you get the money from China, because China's basically
taking it over. China's at both ends of the Panama Canal.

Speaker 7 (11:16):
China's running the Panama Canal.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
China's running the Panama Canal.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
And the fact that we are paying more than other
ships to go through the Panama Canal and then them
demanding millions of dollars to fix it is exactly why
Donald Trump is standing up saying, you're not taking advantage
of us anymore. Now, this also goes back to what
he was saying about Canada. Let's be clear, I do
not believe that Canada is going to become part of America.

(11:42):
I actually think it's epic trolling by Donald Trump making
a point. You guys elected hardcore lefties like Trudeau, and
they have destroyed your country with extremely high taxes, and
they're not looking out for your best interests. Now, the
takeaway on the Canada story is pretty simple. When it
comes to Canada, the people there are now standing up

(12:02):
for themselves again. This all started because of the truckers
that stood up for themselves back when they had the
COVID mandates. And that is when Trudeau clearly lost his country.
And that brings us back to what's happening in Greenland. Greenland, Well,
the people there, they're dissatisfied, they're not happy, and they've
had enough of what is going on in their country.

(12:24):
And that is why Donald Trump saying, hey, if you
want to come and be a part of what we've got,
we're more than happy to buy you. Now, there's also
the other aspect of the story the media doesn't want
you to know, and that is that Greenland is actually
a pretty small country with not a lot of people
that live there, and there's also a major problem with
how Denmark is treating them. That is exactly what Donald

(12:44):
Trump said is he also talked about if we get Greenland,
it is important for our national security as well.

Speaker 7 (12:51):
Take a listen, well, we need Greenland for national security purposes.
I've been told that for a long time, long before
I even ran I mean, people have been talking about
it for a long time. You have approximately forty five
thousand people there. People really don't even know if Denmark
has an illegal right to it, but if they do,

(13:11):
they should give it up because we needed for national security.
That's for the free world. I'm talking about protecting the
free world. You look at you don't even need binoculars.
You look outside. You have China ships all over the place.
You have Russian ships all over the place. We're not
letting that happen. We're not letting it happen.

Speaker 6 (13:32):
And if Denmark wants to get to a conclusion, but
nobody knows if they even have any right, title or interest,
the people are going to probably vote for independence or
to come into the United States. But if they did
do that, then I would tear if Denmark at a
very high level.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
There's a couple of different things here that are interesting
about what Donald Trump said, and after you listen to it,
you actually understand that this is not a crazy idea
at all.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
It's an idea that makes a lot.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
Of sense for the people in Greenland and the way
they're being taken advantage of by Denmark right now, and
the dissatisfaction by the people in Greenland. And this is
actually not a crazy idea that he just randomly thought up,
which is how the media is trying to play this.
How do we know that, because apparently this is a
conversation that came up in Trump's first term in a

(14:23):
very real way they were talking about behind the scenes.
Larry Kudlow, who was in the Trump administration from sixteen
to twenty, said this on Fox Business Channel about what
the President is now proposing and how there is history
behind this idea.

Speaker 8 (14:39):
You know, I never thought in my life I talk
with you about acquiring Greenland. But this is how Trump
changes the conversation. And it's kind of this Monroe doctrine.

Speaker 9 (14:51):
Two point zero things tell us where by the way,
the Greenland conversation is not entirely not new popped up
in the.

Speaker 8 (14:58):
First now I know it is there, but talked about this.

Speaker 9 (15:00):
I was a big supporter of buying Greenland. We just
the clock ran out. President loved the idea. But more
to the point, what he's doing is defining core interests
of the United States, core national security interests. Greenland is
a very important place, not just it does have a
lot of rare earth minerals. Yes, but China nos and

(15:24):
around Greenland, Russia nos and around Greenland. You know, we
have a big air force base there. But the Arctic
Battle is a strategic battle, and that's why Greenland plays
such an important role. And it's interesting that so many
I mean, it's only about forty fifty sixty thousand maybe
people who live there, but they'd like their own independence.

(15:47):
And you don't have to buy it. You can make
a strategic alliance for trade and investment and so those
kind of things.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
So you have a base and economics. I mean, it
seems like a no brainer.

Speaker 9 (15:58):
I think so. And you know what mister Trump is
doing is he's running it down. Look now we're talking
about the Western hemisphere and the Monroe Doctrine, which was
done two hundred years ago. John Quincy Adams codified what
was then called the Monroe Doctrine, codified it into a law.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
You have you.

Speaker 9 (16:17):
Cannot let China run both ends of the Panama Canal.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
You cannot let China run both ends of the Panama Canal.
This is actually about national security as well. When he
talks about that and Greenland, like notice, this is an
America First policy. Now Democrats have come out they're saying,
there's no chance in hell this is going to happen.
Let me let you hear what Anthony Lincoln said. Now,
this is a guy that's going to go out as
a disaster. This is a guy that has that is

(16:45):
leaving in disgrace. This is a guy that it was
involved in every major foreign policy disaster, including the pulling
out of Afghanistan, what we're now witnessing with Russia Ukraine.
And he's going to sit there like a cop professor
and be like, oh, I know better than everybody else,
and this is never going to happen.

Speaker 10 (17:04):
Listen, the idea expressed about Greenland is obviously not a
good one, but maybe more important, it's obviously one that's
not going to happen, So we probably shouldn't waste a
lot of time talking about it.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
You want to know why I think there's a chance
this could actually happen, it's because of these arrogant sobs
and exactly what that what was said there.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
Representative Jeffreys, by the way.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
Speaking on behalf of the Democratic Party, saying, the House
Dems believe that we're not sent to Washington as he
now is describing it to invade Greenland. By the way,
Donald Trump didn't say anything about invading Greenland. He actually
said by it. He didn't say invade, he said by it.
He also then said that we would seize the Panama
Canal by force, something that Donald Trump has also not said.

(17:48):
These are the lying liars of Washington d C. Making
up things. Listen carefully to the words he uses, implying
that Donald Trump's going to get us into two different wars.

Speaker 8 (17:58):
What kind of dialogue have you had with the incoming administration,
the incoming president, especially given that he'll be on the
hill leader today.

Speaker 11 (18:06):
It's not my expectation to have any conversation at any
point today. But we are looking forward to the dialogue
to come in the next few weeks and thereafter to
find the common ground necessary in order to get things
done for the American people. House Democrats believe that we

(18:28):
are not sent to Washington to invade Greenland, rename the
Gulf of Mexico, or seize the Panama Canal by force.
We were sent to Washington to lower the high cost
of living in the United States of America.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
By the way, which he failed to do. If he's
claiming that's what it was. Well, didn't they already do that?
Wasn't the Inflationial Reduction Act supposed to fix that? Had
Kim jeffries, you don't know why you're the minority leader
and not the majority, the speaker of the else. It's
because you guys failed. But I go back to what
was said there. Donald Trump never said we're gonna go
take the Panama Canal by force and we're gonna invade Greenland.

(19:09):
That is just a lie. And if the media didn't
suck at their job, they would have immediately interrupted him
and said, well, Speaker, that's not what he said.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
That's not what he said at all. That's not what
he proposed, that's not what was said on any of this.

Speaker 2 (19:22):
But they let him put out the propaganda and the
lies and get ready because they're never gonna stop when
Trump is in office. All right, Finally, I want to
get to something else that is on my list that
the media is not covering, and it's a big news story.
Joe Biden has now confirmed very quietly because they're hoping

(19:43):
you guys aren't paying attention, that he is willing and
weighing two different pardons, preemptive pardons, for two people that
have not been charged with any crimes. If that doesn't
sound shady as hell, I don't know what is shady.
Joe Biden saying Liz Cheney and doctor Anthony Fauci may

(20:04):
need those preemptive pardons. President Joe Biden's agreeing to the
idea in an interview that he gave with the USA
Today's Susan Page. Receiving a preemptive pardon would indicate an
admission of guilt, although some Democrats claim a preemptive pardon
would only be intended to block President elect Donald Trump
from quote cleaning up Washington d C. In the interview,

(20:30):
Biden said preemptive pardons are on.

Speaker 1 (20:33):
The table for his allies.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
That would obviously include the Biden crime family members and.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
Their business associates.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
That may be the reason why he's willing to give
a pardon to Cheney and Fauci, because that, in theory,
could become the story. Biden said he is quote considering
preemptive pardons for public figures such as and he said,
Republican Congresswoman Liz Chaneing and When Biden met with Trump
in the Oval Office a week after the November elections,

(21:03):
he urged the President elect not to go forward with
the threats to target those, he said in the interview
who have criticized him in Cheney's case, helped lead efforts
to actually impeach him.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
Quote.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
I tried to make clear that there was no need
and it is counterintuitive for his interest to go back
in try to settle scores. Biden said, he's the same
guy that's in charge of a party that tried to
imprison Donald Trump, tried to take him out, take all
of his money. In fact, it's the same guy that's
having other Supreme Court right now because Democrat activists under

(21:38):
Joe Biden have been coming after him in other cases.
I'll explain that in a moment. But Biden said after
he said, you know, I'm trying to tell this guy
to be mature and don't try to settle scores. How
did Trump respond? Ysayday asked him. Biden's response, he didn't say, no,
I'm not going to you know, he didn't reinforce it.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
He just basically listened.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
White House lawyers quote are studying preemptive pardons, which Biden
discussed with senior aides, According to multiple establishment media reports,
Democrat and Media allies are urging Biden publicly in the
last several weeks to pardon many of his comrades, including
mart Milly, Christopher Ray, that'd be the FBI director, Justice

(22:20):
Department lawyers, Joe Biden himself, the whole Biden family, Liz Cheney,
Representative Nancy Pelosi, and Adam Kinzinger quote unquote, among others.
In other words, if you were doing things that were
against the law in the name of the communist socialist
Marxist Democratic Party, then you deserve to get a get

(22:40):
out of jail free card preemptively.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
Quote. Biden can give them a pardon if he wants to.

Speaker 2 (22:46):
That is what Trump told NBC News Kristen Welker in
an interview, And maybe he should, He went on to say, why,
because well, he knows that they've been up to no good. Now,
this is all happening as Donald Trump is now being
forced to ask us the Supreme Court of the United
States of America, to block his sentencing in the hush
money case. This has clearly gotten completely and utterly out

(23:09):
of control. President elect Trump on Wednesday officially asked the
Supreme Court to pause his sentencing and the New York
hush money case. Trump sentencing is scheduled for Friday morning.
He says it clearly violates the president elects presidential immunity,
as outlined in a Supreme Court decision in July that,
according to Trump's legal team, allowing the sentencing to move

(23:31):
forward would be a quote grave injustice and harm to
the institution of the presidency and the operations of the
federal government is what Trump's lawyers have officially written. President
Trump's legal team filed the emergency petition with the United
States Supreme Court asking the court to correct the unjust

(23:51):
actions by New York courts and stop the unlawful sentencing
in the Manhattan DA's which hunt is so what Trump's
spokesman said, referring to the Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. Now,
the Supreme Court's historic decision on immunity, the constitution and
established legal president mandate that this meritless hoax be immediately dismissed,

(24:17):
is what they wrote in the filing. The legal filing
states that the hush money case and Trump's conviction on
these quote thirty four fellony accounts is on poor legal footing.
Part of the evidence used at trial to secure the
conviction was based on official acts of the president and
should have been shielded from the court case.

Speaker 1 (24:39):
Altogether.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
These include, without limitation, they said, statements issued through his
official presidential Twitter account to the American people in twenty eighteen,
statements to the press and official presidential media appearances, documentary
evidence reflecting the official presidential actions, and testimony of former
White House employees regarding the official actions taken by President

(25:03):
Trump during his first term as president. The filing states, now,
this is a major pushback from Donald Trump. The legal
team also argued that legal immunity for sitting presidents covers
the transition period between the election and when a president
assumes office. That's exactly why they've tried to rush this

(25:25):
up to Friday, because they're trying to nail him before
he actually takes the oath of office January the twentieth,
quote the doctorate of sitting president immunity shields Trump from
criminal process during the brief but crucial period of presidential
transition while he engages in the extraordinary, demanding task of

(25:45):
preparing to assume the executive power of the United States
of America. The filing also states, again they're going back
to this is unprecedented.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
This is a witch hunt and everybody knows it now.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
Supreme Court Justice Sauta my Orb ordered Alvin Bragg's office
to respond to the Trump team's filing by ten am
on Thursday. The Trump team made the emergency appeal to
the Supreme Court a day after the New York Appeals
Court rejected what is described as a similar petition now
an illegal filing to the appeals Court, Bragg's office argued

(26:21):
that Trump, as president elect quote, has no viable claim
a presidential immunity from the ordinary criminal process. Prosecutors for
Alvin Bragg's office went on to say that Trump is
not yet engaged in any official presidential functions that would
be disrupted by the sentencing. Now, the reality is, we

(26:42):
all know that when you're coming into office and you
are the president elect, the whole world changes the way
that they treat you, including by the way our Secret
Service they treat you with protections like you are the
president of the United States of America. Why do you
think all these world leaders are coming to meet with
him at mar Lago. Why do you think he's on
Capitol Hill today meeting with congressional leaders. Why do you

(27:03):
think the media is covering it because the idea that
he's somehow just a normal guy right now is absurd
and everyone knows that, and even our Secret Service admits
it by the way that they protect you after election day.
Now President of the United States, Trump also make it
clear with the Supreme Court that this is something that
is nothing more than harassment, and I couldn't agree with

(27:25):
him more. And then legal filing to the Appeals Court,
Brag's off as saying, well, Trump isn't really the president yet.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
I don't think that's going to go very far. Now.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
The other question, as Trump asked the Supreme Court to
block his sensing in a touch money case as this,
will this have political ramifications for the Democrats. They lost
an election, they lost it and everybody knows they lost it,
and now this looks like nothing more than straight up warfare.
I don't know if Alvin Bragg and the Democrats really care.

(27:57):
I think what they look at here is this is
an opportunity to get Trump off of this game. This
is an opportunity to make him look like a criminal
