No longer the climate for skiing (11 October 2022) - Marcus Lush Nights

Ruapehu Alpine Lifts, which operates the Whakapapa and Tūroa ski fields in the central North Island has gone into voluntary administration.

The cause? Three years of disastrous ski seasons due to the lack of snow and the Covid-19 pandemic.
